Who was the first vampire? Why do they crave blood? Why is sunlight deadly to them? Who made them immortal? It's time you learn the truth about vampires and the first born.
This novelette is the first of a five-part series that explains the true origin of the first vampire and the curses placed upon its bloodline. Set in ancient Egypt during Moses's return, an Egyptian woman, Pashera, hears rumors of the final plague that the Hebrew God will cast upon the firstborn of Egypt. In an attempt to save her only son, she places lamb's blood upon the doorpost of her home as Moses instructed his Hebrew people to do. While the Angel of Death does pass over her house, Pashera's decision will change the course of history and unleash the first vampire upon the world.
As realistic of a vampire story as you will ever read. Excellent. Reviewed in the United States on December 12, 2025 Format: Kindle First Born is the story of how the first vampire came to be. During the time of Moses an Egyptian woman overhears two Hebrew women talking at the market. It's the time during which the god of the Hebrew people has been bringing plagues against the Egyptian people. The woman heeds the warning she has overheard and prepares for another of the plagues. The death of the first born. There are a few small mistakes in the text of the story, nothing a light edit couldn't fix quickly (definitely fix the narrative tense). This story is really creative. The author used a well known Bible tale as a setting in time to bring his characters to life. And he did a great job of it. A great origin story for the creation of vampires. You really get the feeling of what it would be like to suddenly have a loved one become a vampire. I considered taking a star off because of the problems with the narrative tense, but the story is just too creative and good to take a star away. The author should definitely get an editor, then this book could be perfect!

This was just a short excerpt from the beginning. Interesting story line ! I would never have thought of this for the beginning of Vampires but it’s kinda logical and makes you think! I can’t wait to read the next book.
