I listened to an Advance Listener Copy of this title, and I enjoyed it! The author narrates her book well, and I felt encouraged to intentionally seek out more plants to add in for nourishment. Yes, I could count "plant points" (I learned a new term!) if I wanted, but even just increasing my awareness of striving for more whole foods works for me. She presented some excellent research around the magic of fiber for our health... which really just made me think, 'Yep. The body knows what it needs for optimum vitality, and the earth provides." I appreciated the nudge of the reminders.

Admittedly, I did stop listening when she began reading through the recipes line by line...😁

Great book!

Well, it’s rare I finish a non fiction book in general, let alone reading one cover to cover in a day!

What a really informative, easy to read, well written and engaging book on something which doesn’t sound like it’d be that interesting but is - fibre! I really loved how accessible this book is, how everything is explained, the benefits are outlined and the approach is really one of ‘build up the habit’ rather than encouraging you to raid half the ingredients aisle at the supermarket.

The recipes look really delicious - and I love that nothing looks too difficult or expensive to get hold of - or ingredients you wouldn’t use again.

The food plans look really creative and definitely something I could see myself drawing inspiration from.

The only thing I would have wished for? A food prep section - recipes you actually could take to the office or make up for a few days in a row. No one is going to thank me for warming up fish in the office microwave! So a section on that would have really boosted this book to a five star for me - but otherwise I truly loved reading it!

Thank you to book break for my copy 🙏🏻

This was a short, informative, and practical read.

The Fiber Fix focuses on the benefits of dietary fiber and explains why it plays such an important role in overall health. While I would not call the information groundbreaking, I still found it interesting and worthwhile. Sometimes a book does not need to completely change your perspective to be valuable.

One thing I appreciated was how actionable it felt. Rather than simply presenting information, the author also offers concrete suggestions and practical ways to increase fiber intake in everyday life. The book is easy to follow and does not feel overly complicated or academic.

What I liked a lot was how many different aspects the author considered. There were several moments where I found myself thinking, “Oh, right, that makes sense.” She does a good job connecting fiber to various areas of health and daily life, and I often felt that she had thought of important details and perspectives that are easy to overlook.

Overall, this is a concise and accessible introduction to an important health topic. It may not be revolutionary, but it is informative, practical, and offers plenty of useful takeaways.

Not too bad a book about the wonders of fibre, and not too overly sciency or preachy which was nice. Some ideas as to how to add in fibre in your diet, but not large on alternatives for issues other than IBS suggestions, and could have added in some ideas for Celiacs. Audio book read by author, and easy to understand. Has what is fibre to what things have good fibre, and recipes. Ideas suitable for teens and adults.

I appreciate this book championing the benefits of fiber. Fiber is not as trendy or sexy as protein is right now, but it's such an important nutrient for our health. This book gave me some new ideas on how to incorporate more fiber into my diet.
