I’m what people call a charmer. Maybe it’s the drawl, maybe it’s the dimples, or maybe it’s the entire ex-Special-Forces package. Either way, I’ve never met a woman I haven’t been able to sweep off their feet . . . until Mallory Monroe. The only female on our team, she’s all fierce words, brave actions, and impenetrable walls around her heart. She’s also the only girl I’ve ever loved.

After burying my feelings for over a decade, I’m not surprised I dream of waking up married to her. Except, it isn’t a dream; the certificate claiming we’re husband and wife is real, and neither of us remembers a thing. Dream come true or not, I never wanted this. Not when my new bride looks horrified, accuses me like our situation is my fault, and demands we “fix it.”

But while I’d do almost anything for her—including taking a bullet for her, again—leaving her, in any sense of the word, isn’t one of those things. And when Mallory makes no move to annul our secret marriage, even months later, I decide to test the waters by attempting to date my wife.

Molly grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas. When she's not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach . . . which roughly translates to being a caffeine-fueled homebody. She has a weakness for nerdy movies and loves curling up in a fluffy blanket during a thunderstorm . . . or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren't really happening.

It really took me a while to get into this. I was frustrated with the characters for the first half of the book. I did enjoy the second half much better.

The way Molly Barlowe writes emotions in a book makes me feel like I'm write between the pages experiencing every high and low. I absolutely loved this book and have been waiting for these two from book 1. You don't have to read this in order because we get backstory and the idea, but y'all, don't skip any of these books because the writing is that amazing.

Ahhh Hudson and Mallory! They’re definitely my favorite couple in the Huntley Square series. I loved the suspense and the romance so much.
Gray the man that you are! Hudson loved Mallory since he first saw her. I love his protectiveness and the way he respected and loved Mallory. He loved all of her, even the angry parts of her. He promised her that he will always fight by her side, and he did. Always. He was ready to die for her.
Mallory. I really admire her strength and character. She was fierce and strong.
What both of them went through I can’t even imagine. The moment when she was dying in his arms, broke me😭 Hudson sobbing in the hospital broke my heart even more. And I love that even after she ‘died’ he was protective but he also respected her wanting to keep fighting with the team.
The whole Shadow team is my favorite! I love that they deeply cared for each other. They treated each other as family, and they are one. It’s one of the best found family books ever.
I cannot wait to read the rest of the series!

The Best One Yet!

This book didn’t just deliver… it absolutely swept me off my feet and refused to let go.

We’ve got:
💍 accidental marriage (with zero memory 👀)
🖤 Black cat x golden retriever energy
💛 He falls first (and never lets go)
🤝 Found family that feels like home
🛡️ Ex–Special Forces + security team tension

Mallory and her charmer? Pure electricity. He’s all warmth and steady devotion, while she’s guarded, fierce, and carrying walls that don’t come down easily. Watching him choose her again and again… even when she’s not sure… felt like witnessing something deeply real.

And that redemption arc? So satisfying. The angst? Sharp enough to leave a mark. I was so invested I literally found myself retelling the entire plot to my husband like these people were living down the street from us.

This is hands-down my favorite in the series. The stakes felt higher, the emotions deeper, and the connection between these two? Completely unforgettable.

I need the next book like I need oxygen 😅 lol

Another beautifully written, clean read with meaningful depth. Do check content considerations, as this series doesn’t shy away from heavier themes.

Christian romance, clean romance books, friends to lovers romance, accidental marriage trope, black cat golden retriever romance, security team romance, faith-based fiction, angsty romance reads

This book didn’t just move the story forward—it deepened my trust in the author.
What Molly Barlowe does exceptionally well here is show how love can exist long before either person feels brave enough to name it. Mallory and Hudson’s relationship is built on shared history, loyalty, and protection, but trauma has taught them to misread safety as risk and vulnerability as weakness.
The dual POV highlights how perception shapes reality. Watching two people love each other while missing it entirely—because of the stories they were taught about themselves—was both frustrating and achingly real.
I especially appreciated the quiet intimacy of this book. Affection is not put on display. It’s personal. Earned. Sometimes hidden. The way Hudson sees Mallory—especially when old beliefs surface—felt deeply respectful. He doesn’t try to overwrite her past; he stands beside her while she learns to reinterpret it.
The pacing allows room for individual growth before emotional resolution, which made the payoff feel honest rather than rushed. The broader world continues to expand, connecting threads while clearly setting the stage for what’s next.
If you’re a reader who values emotional depth over spectacle, this story will resonate.
Beyond friendship. Beyond fear. Beyond control. Beyond time.

This book....THIS book. THIS BOOK!!!!!!

Talk about an emotional roller coaster! Good gravy. These two were INFURIATING...yet I understood why they were the way they were. It just made sense.

Monroe's stubbornness and Gray's relentless pursuit of her 🫠

The romance. The tension. The suspense. The EVERYTHING was just so good, so so good.

This series truly just gets better and better.

Does this book have to be your next reads?! YES, a millions times over.

I love everything Molly writes, to this day I've yet to say anything is less than 5 stars and this one is no exception.

Hudson and Mallory finally get their story and it was worth the wait.

Mallory has a past that really stays with her and it comes out when it comes to her relationship with Hudson. She needs to feel, she needs to be happy, loved, wanted and all the things. Plus Hudson is the guy she swore wouldn't be someone she falls in love with. That's her best friends and that it. No secret swoons, no crossing the line, just none of that now.

So uh.... what happens when drinking leads to getting drunk that leads to getting married?? Um, oops??

But that's okay because Hudson hasn't a clue what's happened either, so it's all good. A drunken mistake and they can undo it right? But do they really want to....will this finally be the reason Mallory can give into her feelings for Hudson. Will Hudson stop working his magic on others and finally get it to work on Mallory??

The way my heart was aching for them, heartstrings pulled, edge of my seat screaming for these two to hurry it along already and so much more.

If you want romance, tension, friends to lovers, fake marriage, and a book just packed with everything you need to require the tissue box. Then look no further. You need these books on your self like yesterday.

Seriously though, get the tissues. Idk how she does it, but Molly's writing always gets to me. Heck, to this day I still have feelings over her Taking Chances series that holds a special place in my heart. So get ready for an emotional but amazing romantic read!!

I can't wait to see what Molly is going to come up with next!!!

I’m a such a fan of this series and the way Molly Barlowe is able to suck us into both angst and thrill (the scene where Mallory realizes she’s injured? Brilliant.), how she makes us FEEL—but YIKES, the writing needs WORK, y’all.

1. Everyone and “their stares.”

“Stare” is not a universal expression for making eye contact—it’s a SPECIFIC KIND of look or eye contact. And yet, literally EVERY PARAGRAPH Mallory’s stare was meeting Hudson’s stare while Briggs’ stare fell to Thatch’s stare while Chloe stared at Lainey’s stare before they all avoided each other’s stares to stare somewhere else. GAH!

Other options:
- eyes
- (make) eye contact
- turn to
- peer
- gaze
- expression
- peek
- LOOK, for Pete’s sake

(TWO HUNDRED FOUR TIMES. I CHECKED.)

2. Was Cher Horowitz a contributing writer? Why does EVERY sentence include “as if?” (I DARE you to search-find “as if” in your Kindle reader now. Do it now. Double dog dare!)

The worst part is, most of the time, the “as if” wasn’t necessary. Because it wasn’t AS IF something was happening. It WAS happening.

(spoilers: 169 times.)

3. The lists written as independent sentences which all start with the same phrase.

This is a powerful way to communicate someone’s inner thoughts, but it happened in EVERY inner dialogue.

“…Gray had wheezed, as if he hadn’t just broken all protocol. As if we’d had time for his teasing. As if multiple bullets hadn’t pierced his vest, and another hadn’t ripped through his shoulder.”

^^ THIS. Every description is like this!! It’s cool every once in a while, but good gravy, not every page.

3. HOLY RUN-ONS, Batman!

“It was all I could do to keep my expression neutral when my stomach twisted and pitched with remorse as I quickly thought back to the way I’d stormed in here and through everything I’d said.”

“Tension wove through the space at the claim as we all waited to see how Briggs would respond, but he just stood there silently when Thatch released his hair and tossed the hand in his direction.”

“When he looked at me again, his eyes were glassy with unshed tears, but I wasn’t able to react to the fact that I was witnessing Briggs like this for the first time ever, when I’d been trapped in a destructive storm of my own emotions for hours, and it felt like each new reading on that monitor might send me spiraling back into it.”

LIKE WHAT IS EVEN HAPPENING WHO IS DOING WHAT JUST USE A PERIOD OR A DASH OR LITERALLY ANYTHING WHAT THE

4. Repetition is a device to be used sparingly.

The first third of the book, it felt like all I was reading was “✨as if✨ he hadn’t flirted with every woman in the Sovereign National People’s Republic of Texas” and “✨as if✨ she was my best friend but didn’t want me”every. other. sentence.

We got it the first 18 times, you know?

5. ADDING “TOO” TO THE FRONT OF AN ADJECTIVE ISN’T GOOD ENOUGH.

My eyes—ahem, excuse me, my STARE—started twitching every time I read someone’s “too-tight chest” held their “too-fast beating heart” in their “too-still form” while they drove to someone’s “too-near house” during a “too-close call.”

No. Just…no. English better, please.

- - - - - - - - -

Ugh, but I loved Mal and Hudson overall. And I love this mafia-Dallas world. And I genuinely do love the peeks of light and tenderness we get through its dark exterior. And I love some ANGST, but it was AS IF the writing pulled me out every👏 time 👏!

I guess it’s rough getting editors out here on these streets, girl, but we need them—goodness, we need them.

I am so so so incredibly grateful to have received the eARC to this book. Molly has been one of my top favorite authors for years now and the fact that I’ve gotten to read 3 of her books early now is truly mind blowing. I have absolutely loved seeing her transition to closed door romances and I truly believe I would read any book she writes no matter what genre or sub-genre.

As for this book specifically… Even If We Last is a pull at your heartstrings romance with a touch of dark romance/ suspense. I do have to admit it’s not my favorite in the series, however, like I said Molly is one of my favorite authors so she’s setting a high bar for herself. I lovedddd Gray and seeing the way he supported Monroe throughout the story was truly so beautiful. If you want a book to put you in your feels, but also super fast paced and easy to binge, this book and this series is perfect for you!

Wow! I love this series 🩵

What a wild ride from page one! This one yanks your heart out and takes its own sweet time piecing it back together. I love this series and this team that’s become a family that sticks together through really hard things. I was caught off guard by how Gray and Monroe got together but really - there was no other way. The peek into the next book has me 🫠 There is 🚫🤬🚫🌶️ in the book but there was some in the past with several references to it starting page one. There are many references to one character’s past sex life (not detailed). Kisses are steamy and slightly descriptive. There are some references to a character being suicidal (past) and check-ins based on that.

This one was a disappointment. I was looking forward to this love story the most and I loved Gray’s character, but the writing was repetitive and I almost gave up halfway through. Repetitive phrases, words, and even entire conversations! There is also a theme among the female characters that I think is a bit much. I remember getting lost during the mystery in the previous books and found myself once again confused by who their enemies are and what exactly is going on.

Wowee, what a ride!! I’d be awaiting the release of this book for quite some time, and I was so pleased that I got an ARC for it.

Hudson and Mallory were two characters we met in the first two books, and their storyline always intrigued me. I was under the impression that their relationship with one another was one way, but they were actually much closer than expected. Their over-a-decades long past was riddled with miscommunication and misconception on both sides. It was sad to watch them struggle with trusting each other, and there were a lot of two steps forward, one step backward moments, for Mallory especially. Her history was sad, and she was scared to feel anything other than the mask of confidence she constantly donned.

There were some great plot twists in the book that I didn’t see coming! The book is a bit on the longer side because there’s a lot going on with major conflict started in Even If It Hurts. There’s a lot of characters you meet that interact with H & M who play into the ongoing conflict running throughout the series, but also family members and others introduced that don’t play huge roles. I did feel a bit confused at times when names were introduced and had to read parts again to reorient myself in the story.

The tension, chemistry, and love the MCs had for one another was very apparent. They cared for and fought beside one another for so long, and it brought them so close. When the impromptu marriage turned the tide on their story, the result was bound to be deep and lasting. Molly delivers that for sure in this read. It feels like I highlighted the whole book just because their conversations were so sweet. 🥹

Overall, the ending and the epilogue left me hanging & ready for Cameron and Peyton. :) Before picking up this read, I’d definitely recommend reading the first two books in the series to understand the conflict and characters of the Shadow team. There’s lot parts from the history you’d miss otherwise.

Thanks for the ARC, Molly!! All thoughts are my own. 💗

CW: This is a closed-door romantic suspense book with implied intimacy between a married couple & passionate kisses with no language. There’s heavier themes in this book, with the ongoing conflict of trafficking, mafia ties, and death as a part of the plot. The MCs also had personal struggles that can be triggering for some readers.

It’s no secret how much I love Molly Barlowe and her Huntley Square series, but honestly — I was nervous going into Even If We Last. After seeing firsthand how big of a flirt Hudson was in books one and two (even in front of Mallory 😬) and how cutting Mallory could be toward him, I braced myself. Nothing hurts my heart more than an FMC having a front row seat to the MMC pursuing other women, so I went in fully prepared to feel all the things.

What I wasn’t prepared for? How completely this story would grip me and how it would stay with me long after I finished.

This one absolutely gutted me — in the best possible way. I thought other women would be the biggest heartache here, but I had no idea what was coming. 🤯

From the first page, I couldn’t put it down. Hudson and Mallory’s relationship is layered and complicated, with so many factors coming into play. They both had reasons for thinking and feeling the way they did. Molly navigated their dynamic so thoughtfully and with so much precision. For two people who have always been so close, they managed to wound each other again and again — all while being completely unaware of the depth of the other’s feelings.

Hudson Gray is so easy to love. He’s charming, good-natured, protective, and such a steady presence for Mallory — very golden retriever energy. He was a little slow to realize the impact of his actions, but once I knew their full story, I understood his thought process so much better.

Mallory Monroe comes across as tough as nails and seemingly unaffected by Hudson in books one and two — but wow, there is so much more beneath the surface. She’s layered in a way that completely surprised me. Learning her backstory deepened everything — it broke my heart and made me love her even more. The armor she wears runs deep, and watching it slowly crack had me cheering her on.

Even If We Last was riveting — more than one plot twist had me staring at the page in shock. I grinned like a fool. I scowled like I’d been personally betrayed. I swooned one minute and was rubbing my chest to ease the ache the next. Get your tissues ready — you won’t walk away from this one untouched.

If you love protective MMCs, emotional depth, layered tension, and a touch of suspense woven into your romance, add this to the top of your list.

While it can technically be read as a standalone, there are overarching storylines throughout the series, so I definitely recommend reading them in order for the full impact.

Thank you to Molly Barlowe for the gifted ARC. 🫶🏻 All thoughts and opinions are my own.

With his sexy drawl, smooth one-liners, and dimples Gray Hudson is pretty darn irresistible. She should know, she's watched him work his magic on women for years now. He's had the same affect on her too... but letting him know that fact will never happen. It's a secret she'll keep forever... or will she?

Even if We Last is a perfectly penned romance about a girl who grew up in a man's world, never knowing about girlie things, never wearing dresses or make-up, and never sharing her feelings... because after all that is a sign of weakness. She was raised to be a soldier, a protector of her country, a woman who can hold her own amongst men.

So what is this girl to do when she finds herself falling for the guy that she swore she never would. Hudson is supposed to be her best friend, the partner who always has her six, not the guy she swoons over in secret. It's not like he'd ever feel the same about her anyway... or would he?
She's not the kind of girl that swoons, gets weak in the knees for a guy, or marries one mistakenly while drunk... or is she?

Don't get me wrong I have loved every book in this series so far, but this one, it just hit different. The words wrapped themselves around my heart and had me completely entranced, it was all I could think about until I was able to finish it. It was one of those books that you start reading and never want it to end, with characters that you never want to say goodbye to when the last page comes. Ms. Barlowe really outdid herself with this one. The emotional depth, the hesitancy and longing, the strength and bravery, and of course the love and devotion to one another... it was all so perfect and so deeply felt. I loved every single second of this story, Mallory was one tough cookie and she spoke to me on many levels... I loved watching find her well deserved happily ever after. Definitely my favorite read so far this year!! Highly recommend you meet these two, they'll steal your heart and full attention at first meet!

I requested an advance copy of this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

Simply put, just... wow! I'm truly at a loss for words to adequately explain the grip this book had on me. From the moment Mallory and Hudson woke up in a hotel room and discovered they'd eloped... and had absolutely no memory of it, I was completely hooked. And it only got better from there! I don't want to say too much, because there are definitely many aspects of this story that just need to be experienced firsthand... discovering it all right along with these characters. It was tender and emotional, leaving me reaching for the tissues on more than one occasion. I loved Mallory's strength and how he loved that about her... but how he also wanted to protect her. And when we see those more vulnerable moments from her? My goodness, I just loved it. There was the perfect blend of romance and danger, and I was here for absolutely all of it. This team truly does have a great feeling of found family, and I've enjoyed every book in these series... but this one is hands down a new favorite. So far. We're given just enough of a glimpse of what's to come to keep me excited... I cannot wait! If you love an emotional romance with a protective MMC, this is a book (and series) not to be missed. A top read for me!

Even If We Last is a closed-door romance with implied intimacy between a married couple and no language. It is the third book in the Hutley Square series. While you may be able to enjoy this one as a standalone, there are certain threads that carry through the series and as such, it really is best to start from the beginning to get the most out of it.

A heartbreakingly beautiful love story that is powerfully inspiring, emotionally raw, and breathtakingly romantic. A story delivered with so much heart and soul that that I fell deeper in love with the characters and the story with each turn of the page. This story is everything I hoped for and so much more. Mallory Monroe is beautiful, guarded, and resilient. Hudson Gray is charismatic, loyal, and fiercely protective. Their chemistry is magnetic and undeniable. Try as they may to fight their feelings; they are helpless to stop the fall. I loved the push and the pull between these two; they stole my heart. They a perfect match and how they let their guards down and falls for one another is absolutely swoon-worthy. The storyline is beautifully written and a suspenseful ride of twists and turns with emotions that radiated from the pages. I felt the pain and sorrow, the joy and elation, and everything in between. The heartbreaking moments shattered my heart and the swoon-worthy moments stole my breath. A mesmerizing story that had me under its spell from beginning to end. Huntley Square series is quickly becoming one of my favorite inter-connected series and I’m excited for the next book!

Molly Barlowe truly never disappoints. Her writing has a way of pulling you in so deep that you don’t feel like you’re reading a book—you feel like you’re right there living it with the characters. You feel every emotion, every moment of tension, every heartbeat of the story.

Monroe and Gray’s story is hands down my favorite. Their connection is intense, emotional, and beautifully written. What makes it even better is that they’ve both been in love for so long… and neither of them even fully realizes it. The slow unraveling of their feelings, the unspoken emotions, and the way everything builds had me completely hooked.

Gray is the kind of hero you can’t help but love—loyal, protective, and all in. He protects Monroe even though she doesn’t need it, and somehow that just makes you love him even more. And Monroe is everything I want in a strong female lead—fierce, guarded, and unforgettable.

This book is filled with heart, found family, and a love story that will stick with you long after you finish. If you love emotional romance with deep characters and a relationship that feels real, this one is an absolute must-read.

Even if we last is the third book in Molly’s Huntley Square Series. I loved the passion and commitment that both Hudson and Mallory have for each other as friend and colleagues. The love hate relationship, the workplace tension, the best friends to lovers, I’m always a sucker for! I did keep clenching my fists when Mallory kept struggling to let Hudson in! And he just kept trying and trying! She’s a very stubborn but an extremely strong and resilient women trying to prove to everyone that she’s stronger then any man kind. ( ugh, her dad is just awful!, emotional trauma) of course Hudson tries to break those walls down! Oh and their drunken elopement!? HELLO!

I love hearing about characters happy ending and future but at the end of the book it does quite give you that… You know they are madly in love with each other but the investigation is up in the air but I’m assuming that’s for Molly’s next book?! Which I’m looking extremely forward for!

Molly adds extra details into her books and really creates such good personalities between characters! if you love a lot of high love tension, closed door romance and suspens! Then this book is definitely up your ally!

Honestly, I struggled with this book. I hated reading the scenes where they put Gray through the wringer and regularly questioned his integrity and character. While I wholly understand trust issues, trauma, and the way that can impact your ability to give and receive love, this was beyond that. Gray deserved better. When you know someone deeply enough to call them your best friend, you don't jump to conclusions about what they have and haven't done and yell over them before they can explain themselves. And it wasn't just the love interest, it was the people who were supposedly his friends too.

Ultimately, it's hard for me to ship a relationship that feels unhealthy because the wounds are so deep. I have soent forever wanting these two together as I read the series, but this kind of ruined it for me.

And the ending felt like it was out of left field. I'm not sure I'm interested in watching this storyline and group turn into dark romance; I enjoyed that it was romantic suspense without getting too into the mafia tropes that so many others rely on. Them joining a family feels like it doesn't fit with them as people.

Mallory and Hudson are everything

How does this series keep getting better!

I loved the Deadly Duo in the previous two books,  but this one just topped them.

I love Mallory,  she is a bad ass, but getting in her head was perfect. Seeing how she was raised,  and how skewed it was gave so much insight. Her thoughts on Hudson that she doesn’t let the world know.

Hudson and his flirtatious and smiles he gives everyone,  and all he's hiding,  just surprising to see. I love that we got to meet his family.

The twists in this one I didn't expect,  I had tears just thinking Molly wasn't about to rip my heart out.  The journey Mallory and Hudson go through was a hard one,  especially from two people who don't talk about feelings they have for each and the walls they had up for so long.

The story Molly weaves is beautiful,  and the world she builds makes you feel like you are there.  The characters are developed so well that you feel like you know them.

Grab this book,  you will not regret it!

Hudson + Mallory

I loved this story! Hudson & Mallory were so very believable. For years they have worked together and during that time have managed to keep their feelings towards each other secret. Hudson fell for Mallory as soon as she uttered literal fighting words towards him 😉
There are so many twists & turns in this one and surprises! Hudson is special.. the way he loves Mallory but also sees her is so very sweet. There is so much depth with these characters. Molly sure knows how to write emotions & I am going to miss these two a ton.
I am very much looking forward to Rush’s story next!
The security team Briggs put together truly feels like family and this has been such a fun series so far!

Epic is the first word that comes to mind when I read Even If We Last. It was definitely worth the wait for this instalment of the Huntly Square series, and if you haven't read the earlier books, I would highly recommend reading them first.

Hudson and Mallory, aka the deadly duo's story, picks up from the pages of Even if You Fall. In some ways, Even If We Last is not a typical romantic suspense novel. Hudson and Mallory are long-time friends and work partners, and their history is anything but normal. There are many unexpected twists and turns, and I did not see quite a few of them coming.

There were a few moments that I did not like, however, this was overshadowed by the phenomenal storytelling. I thought Mallory's wrestle with femininity was quite intriguing and really well written. It is also an interesting contrast Hudson's battle with charm.

If you enjoy romantic suspense, with sweet romance, lots of action, and many twists and turns, then I would highly recommend Even If We Last.

I received an ARC from the author. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

I am so grateful to Molly for the opportunity to be able to read this eARC.
This book had my husband curious about what I was reading because it had me laughing out loud, covering my face in surprise, talking/yelling to myself and had me anticipating every twist and turn, not quietly. I talked to this book a lot. I stay up way too late reading all of the books in this series simply because the characters and stories grip me.

I loved walking through them navigating all the feelings they've had over the years and finally prioritizing each other, as well as learning to be vulnerable and trust each other in a whole different way.

Usually I can see plots setting up but there were definitely a few in this book I was not expecting at all, which I really loved.
I really enjoyed reading it and I am SO excited for the next books in the series!!

Enjoyable!!

Even if we Last by Molly Barlowe is book 3 in the Huntley Square Series.
4.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had been looking forward to Monroe and Grey’s story since book 1. While I don’t typically read books involving the Mafia, I have fallen in love with this series. The main characters in this series are actively fighting against the mafia to keep their cities and family safe. Sometimes they resort to less than legal means.
This book pulled me in from the beginning. I enjoyed how the story flowed, the growth of the characters, and the progression of the series. The book ended with the biggest cliffhanger of the series yet.
This is a closed door romance
Warning: while it is a romance, this book contains heavy themes related to pregnancy, past abuse, murder, mental health, mafia, and other stuff.

Loved the Deadly Duo's love story! I knew from previous books in this series that there would be some serious feelings between Mallory and Hudson, and I was not disappointed!!!

Mallory was raised by a cold father to be an unfeeling war machine. Hudson was a flirt with every woman he enountered, but he loved Mallory for a long time. Over a decade the two became best friends, and, even though both felt more strongly than friendship, they wouldn't admit their feelings. When they end up married in Aruba and can't remember a thing about it, things get interesting!

The author gave a lot of good background on Mallory especially in this book. We learn about how she was raised and became a Navy SEAL. She may have looked like Barbie, but she didn't feel "like a woman." Hudson was strong and protective, even though Mallory could take care of herself physically, he realized he needed to protect her heart.

I can't wait for the next book to read more about the mafia war and what will happen with the Shadow crew!

From the very first chapter I was hooked! In this book we get Gray's (Hudson) and Monroe's (Mallory) story. They served in the same SEALS unit was Monroe was the first female SEAL. After serving in the military, they both started working with Briggs at his security company, Shadow. They have been known as the dynamic duo by many, but never realized that they both harbored feelings for each other. When they wake up from a night in Aruba to discover they eloped, they now have to figure out a path forward. Oh, and throw in another encounter with the Wreckers (the local mafia gang that wants them all dead). This one will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens.

Book 3 of the Huntley Square series and my gosh I continue to devour these books.

I feel like I’ve been waiting for Gray & Monroe’s story. They have had such thick tension in the previous books and you could tell they were going to be electric.

I absolutely loved Gray. Monroe was frustrating at times but her backstory broke my heart for me. Honestly Gray says it best her dad and brothers are the worst.

The way Gray is always there to remind Monroe she’s strong, worthy and capable just made my heart so happy. When they finally do get their moment to be happy it’s beautiful! Their journey there is full of pain, hurt and tempers, but also a deep bond.

I am beyond ready for the next book in this series, I mean how could I not be after the glimpse we got?!
