The moment you think everything is perfect in your life, it can all come tumbling down on top of you.

Shattered Souls hasn’t seen each other in months. Deception and ghosts from the past have torn them apart, leading them their separate ways. When they realize they need to solve their differences and get back together for the sake of the band, they can’t find their lead singer, Rook Tyler, who’s been missing for months
.
Twisted Perfection is just coming off the high of yet another tour but this time, they weren’t riding the coat tails of Shattered Souls. Even though they’ve become more popular, all of the success from the last tour means nothing to Maisy as she continues to struggle daily from the loss of Rook.

Fame finds both of the bands but sometimes, it can be lonely at the top. Both bands realize if they want to succeed, they have to drop their differences and join together, but it’s never that easy. Lovers, drugs, people’s pasts and death get in the way, while they try to travel down the bumpy road toward fame.

When I was in high school I occasionally read books but was consumed by other teenage things so I didn't take the time to appreciate a good book on a cloudy day, wrapped up in a blanket on the couch. It wasn't until I received a Kindle for Christmas one year that my world completely flipped upside down. When looking for books I came across the Contemporary Romance genre and was sold and I haven't turned back since.

You can either find my head buried in my Kindle, listening to inspiring heart ripping music or typing away on the computer twisting and turning the lives of my characters while driving my readers crazy with anticipation.

I currently reside in beautiful Colorado Springs where the sun is always shining and there is a trail waiting to be hiked on every corner. I share a lovely and warm home with the love of my life and my five, four-legged children.

Wow. I am a glutton. This was one clusterfuck of a soap opera. It was just plain fucking ridiculous. There are no answers, no closure, just one open ended cliffy that I don't think will ever be written into book 3. Thank, fuck. (EDIT: author said there's a finale in the works. I'll read it for you, no worries;)

So, POV review it is...cuz any book with more than 6 POVs is destined to be so convoluted you need a score card ;)

Only noteworthy plot point:
The entire cast tried to solve their "issues" Reality TV style by living in the same house as they recorded their new albums and E Channel filmed it.

The cast:

Cole - (Yawn...another placeholder character) - The singer whose girlfriend gave Rook a BJ in the prologue of the first book is now the BF of Maisy for about 3 seconds. Turnabout's fair play, right? Except she doesn't actually fuck him...(*eye-roll*)...only Rook gets to sleep around, cuz she's a recent virgin and all.

Landon - (Grey's bro) - ended up with Quinn (who was fucking Grey in the first book). Landon is also a closet Dom...so the BDSM element was laughable. It was obviously added because BDSM is a popular theme in the romance genre. My fave scene, he's got Quinn tied up on the bed and takes a phone call. Yup, quite the Dom. The ending though...EMO M'FING BULLSHIT.

Grey - (all 'round douche) - who spent the first book lusting after Willow while fucking Quinn, still refuses to talk to Landon...(*eye-roll*). He also lost Willow to Cruz. I can't even muster up a fuck to give. He's the kind of guy who picks the "tragically damaged" girl to "save" her...fucking spare me.

Quinn - (Grey's ex and now GF to Landon...aka Yoko Ono) - she seems to be reduced to wallpaper/fucktoy this time around...until she DIES. So no HEAs and the author kills the only happy person off. Just...wow.

Willow - (who I still can't stand) - starts it off by still fucking Cruz (not Grey...after she pursued him into the destruction of his relationship with his then GF). She's also fucking anyone else who asks cuz monogamy isn't in her vocab. She also got laid the most...a little surprised she didn't get an STD since she was into bareback. She's a stupid, spoiled brat with a coke habit...so not feeling any love for her. Then she ODs (surprise)...yeah, still no love.

Cruz - (Mr. Lova-lova-man) - still a cardboard cut-out. Latin lover with a big dick who licks nacho cheese off his lovers. FFS. For real? At least he kept food out of the bedroom when he threesomed with Willow and his possible future GF.

Maelani - (the threesome chick) - a $2k a night escort that doesn't put out **(((o.O)))** Sign-me-the-fuck-up for that gig. No. Seriously. I look hot in velvet. Literally ;)

Maisy - (sweet, slow witted heroine) - starts off dating someone else, though not fucking him, cuz that'd be cheating...now, you know it's coming...(*eye-m'fing-roll*). What little she had going for her in the first novel tanked here. I didn't understand her appeal to Rook at all.

Rook - (Unabomber-twin) - He looked to be fast becoming the crazy relative in the attic you have to break down and have committed before they kill someone else in a delusional rage with a wiffle-ball bat. BTW - His reasoning for cheating on Maisy sucked balls...he's still a douche. And "edgy angel" - it was ok the first time around, but annoying as fuck this time. He's also responsible for the Reality TV bonanza that saves (sorta) this bunch of miscreants.

Kaid - (Does he ever get pussy?) -
everyone is fucking another character on the regular except for him. I'm not sure what that means and why that makes him my fave character :/

And as for Landon and Grey's mom...Seriously?? Jesus, the scene with Cruz and Grey, such a writing gaffe. It. Was. Cringeworthy.

Any HEA's?

Not a fucking one.

Everyone either ended up dead, in the hospital, or SOL with their significant other.

Best line...

“Hey, will you bend over for a second. There’s a stick up your ass that I want to beat you over the head with.”

Sums up my opinion of the book perfectly.

And seriously...get a fucking proofreader before you publish another book.

**SPOILER ALERT**

This was a hard book for me to write because I had to push past my rainbows and glitter and slip into a rather dark place, a place I don't go very often.

Rook is a tortured soul who was blessed with Maisy, something he never thought he would have and the moment when everything was good, it all came crashing down on top of him when his dad came to visit.

In Fame, we pick up a few months after the fact and the tortured soul Rook once was is now depleted. There is nothing left for him once he gave up Maisy. Some may think he is a cheating piece of crap but in reality, he didn't have an option. In order to save Maisy from his past, he had to do the worst thing possible to drive her away, and it worked.

Too bad for Maisy, she can't seem to function without the man, even though she hates every last piece of him. She wants nothing to do with him, but her broken heart, her broken soul keeps calling out to the soulful lead singer.

This book doesn't just focus on Maisy and Rook, nope, it also follows Willow's path of destruction, Grey's attempts of trying to move forward from his brother's betrayal, a new blossoming relationship for Quinn, Kaid's strength, and of course, the crude and crass humor of Cruz who by the way, has a little love interest.

Love triangles, drugs, deception and new beginnings all find their way into FAME.

*****THIS IS THE SECOND BOOK IN THE ADDICTION SERIES, YOU MUST READ TOXIC BEFORE READING FAME**********

I had the great pleasure of Beta reading FAME and all I can say is WoW!! Hold on to your tits ladies because it's one helluva ride!!

Hearts get broken.
Lies are uncovered.
Truths get exposed.
Trust is regained.
New characters are introduced.
And love finds it's way.

Meghan delivers so much MORE than I expected in FAME. I was lift feeling hopeful for some characters that things will pull through for them. And others well...my heart was left in my throat in little tiny pieces.

There is just so much that every single band member has to over come in FAME.

*Can Rook win Maisy back, or has he royally f*cked up and lost her forever?

*Can Maisy ever trust Rook again? Can she ever look at him and not get butterflies?

*Cruz...is still Cruz. Banging chicks, but he finds himself hung up on one girl. Is it love or lust?

*Willow is dealing with the rejection from Grey. Willow also learns that the rock star life isn't always as amazing as it seems.

*Grey struggles with feeling betrayed by Landon and Quinn. Will he ever forgive his brother and ex-girlfriend?

*And Kaid, level headed Kaid. He finds himself some what stuck in the middle of the shit storm. His loyalty is to his band members/sisters but he can also see other side of every situation. Kaid also finds himself falling for a certain lady, a lady that is fighting to keep things friendly between the two of them.

Ekkkk!!! I can't recommend this series enough! If you love hot rock stars, angst, crazy chemistry, sexual tension, sex scenes that make your lady gardens come alive, threesomes, and yes even heart break...PICK THIS BOOK UP WHEN IT RELEASE FEBRUARY 17th!!

Fame by Meghan Quinn
5 Stars

I am giving this book a 5 star rating but wish I could give it a 6. Just for the ending alone. This review will not be long and I will not give anything away. If you have read Meghan's books before you will know exactly why I say this. A review done by anyone will just not live up to reading it for yourself. Prepare. Yourself. For. Epic. Sh@t.

I stayed up until 2am reading this 2nd book and I literally yelled "No" out loud at the ending. Talk about being totally blindsided and gut punched. Nothing could have prepared me for the ending. I dont know what goes on in Meghan's pretty little head and where she comes up with the twists that she does but cudos Meghan, cudos. You did it again you evil woman. I thought I loved all the characters in the first book and I was wrong.....I adore them now. They are all f&cked up in their own way and definately put the "fun" in dysfunctional but somehow they fit together perfectly.

I want to write so badly about what transpires but I am going to stop typing and leave you with one last nugget of advice which is to go get this little gem and prepare yourself. I don't know how she will top this one.

I wanted more Rook and Maisey! Loved them together. Willow I just wanted to slap and say quit being stupid and get your life together. Loved how Grey and Landon became close again.

I really want to find out what happens next. Did she stop writing this series? Are we getting another book? This would have been 4 stars if the series would have continued, but not to have some kind of ending was horrible of this author. Really hate when this happens, at least write one last book and end it. Dont leave your fans hanging.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

Warning: This review may be a bit spoilery so read at your own risk.

When Meghan Quinn writes, I imagine that she sits there typing and twirling her imaginary mustache. And then when she finishes a book, she laughs. A very evil laugh. No, really. Have you read her books? Good lord, she loves to throw unexpected plot twists at her readers.

It's six months after the end of Toxic and things are not going well for guys of Shattered Souls. Rook has disappeared and Landon and Grey are not speaking. Cruz keeps trying to find Rook, but all of his attempts are coming up empty. They haven't been together in months and it doesn't look like things are getting better anytime soon.

Meanwhile the members of Twisted Perfection are coming off another successful tour. Maisy is dating someone else, but still isn't over Rook. Kaid is still acting as the glue holding the band together and Willow is enjoying her success, maybe a little too much. Although she is in a sex only relationship with Cruz, she is still harboring feelings for Grey, although she hasn't seen him in months. Then after a photo shoot, she hooks up with the photographer and he introduces her to cocaine. And it is all downhill from there. She somehow manages to hide the abuse from everyone, but they are all so wrapped up in their own dramas, hiding it is very easy. Willow definitely brought the drama in this book. She became such a bitch and I wanted to smack her upside the head so many times!

Despite being apart for most of the book, we still get a little bit of the Rook and Maisy love story. He intentionally hurt Maisy as a way to protect her and is Rook punishing himself for that. Grey eventually tracks him down and finds him in a terrible state. He brings Rook home and when Raisy are reunited, it is not all sunshine and rainbows. They have a lot to work through and starting over as friends is how they are going to do it. But even after everything you can still feel the love between the two of them. I can't wait until they are together again. I love them together.
“You’re beautiful, you’re smart, you’re independent, and you’re, hands down, the most amazingly gorgeous woman I’ve ever met. That day, the worst day of my life, there was a reason that all happened, and I’m going to make sure you know what went down, because I can’t live without you, Maisy. I just fucking can’t.”

With that, he leaned back in his chair as a lonely tear streamed down Maisy’s face. She could feel him starting to wear a hole in the wall she’d erected around her heart.
Eventually things start to calm down and it seems as though the bands are getting back on track. It looks like Kaid is finally going to get a lady friend for himself and Cruz is in a sort of real relationship (I stress the "sort of"). Maisy and Rook are on good terms and Grey and Landon have reconciled. But then BAM!! We not only get one plot twist, but TWO FREAKING PLOTS TWISTS. Two BOMBS that not only made me yell at my ereader, but also made me cry. I cried like a freaking baby.

And cue Meghan Quinn.....

Holy fucking cow shit!

Why do you have to do this to us Meghan? Huh? Whhhyyyyyy GOD-DAMMIT!

*woooosaarrrr* keep calm.....keep cool!

Phew sorry about that.....last last 15% was a major heartbreak! YET AGAIN!

Now I knew, from Meghan's writing in the past that she does one hell of a cliffhanger....she dangles something pretty and loving in front of you, within a hands reach of you getting it, then out of nowhere she rips it to god damn pieces....not only that she calves it up and chews the fucker out.....yeah, not a pretty picture, BUT I will give her her dew, she can write one hell of a bad-ass story!

There is devastation left in the wake of Rook's decision to push Maisy away.

Rook is a tortured soul....my god is he tortured and it broke me to see him so frail and distressed in this one....now I know, he was a complete toss-pot in Toxic and he deserves to feel somewhat ashamed of himself, but, yeah, he always manages to wrap you around his little pinky again ;)

"The one good thing in my life, the one piece of perfection I was able to hold on to for a short period of time is now going on without me, I'm a washed up has been, son to a drugged out father and a mother who sold her pussy like fucking drugs on street corners"

Now we all know how the last one finished....yeah, that broke my heart, Rook broke my heart, Landon broke my heart, and Grey god-dammit, broke my heart.....I was in bits after that ending, and I knew it wasn't going to be pretty or get any better in this one....god-dam knew it!

You've got to feel sorry for poor Maisy, not only her but Willow & Quinn too. These girls have been through a rough few months with the last tour then this happened.

Maisy taking a BIG HIT to her heart....talk about ripping her heart out and squeezing it in a fricking vice until it shatters everywhere.....

"He was a beautifully ugly vision of soul and heartache, a start contrast of heart and hatred, a passionate bastard with a talent that could eat her alive."

Can Maisy ever trust Rook again?

Willow and Cruz have a sort of arrangement no strings but he's feeling a little something, could it be love?

Kaid faces an attraction to red headed beauty that doesn't date musicians, can he keep his feelings in check for someone he knows he can't have?

This part of the story is about loss, love, forgiveness, and how to live with all of that.

Life likes to play jokes on us and never lets us get too comfortable, or too happy, before shaking things up again. We tend to learn the hard way to appreciate the good things in our lives, usually after losing them. There's a lot to be said for second chances

If you love hot rock stars, crazy chemistry, sexual tension, sex scenes that make your lady gardens come alive, and yes even heart break...then stop wasting time reading this, when you could be starting this rollercoaster of an adventure with book #1 Toxic

This book delves into the depths of all of their souls. Rook messed up with Maisy , he ruined her , Quinn is with Landon, Grey hates his brother for messing with his girlfriend , and Willow and Cruz are friends with benefits. Everything is messed up . Can they all over come what addictions they have to be whole again . I loved the story but I need more . I hated the way it ended . I need more . however it was still a great book .

This is the second book in the Addiction series, Toxic is the first book and also amazing ... read it first!! I couldn't put either of these books down and I can not wait to continue on this addictive journey!!!

Meghan Meghan Meghan ... what you did to my heart in this book is just not fair!! This book for me was an emotional rollercoaster, I was happy, I was sad, I was frustrated, and I was devastated. Lies and Truths will be discovered, Hearts get broken, Trust is found, and a life is lost. Prepare yourself for a book of epic proportions and hold on tight cause this book is a helluva page turner!!

After the ending of the tour in Toxic, Shattered Souls has dispersed, Twisted Perfection is climbing the charts, and Rook is nowhere to be found. There isn't a single band member who doesn't have an obstacle to overcome or a struggle to face in Fame. There are love triangles, drugs, lies, and so much more.

“You didn’t take your life that day, Rook, you took mine.”

"In one day, you tore me apart, shredded me into pieces,
and left me to pick it all up with no explanation, only an evasive note.”

Rook has closed himself off from everyone, disappeared and basically withered away without Maisy for the past six months. With Greys help he will finally pull his head out of his butt, but will it be to late? Will she even hear him out after he cheated on her?

Can Maisy ever trust Rook again? She is a shell of a person with out Rook, going through the motions of life and performing. She can't function without him, and she still loves him but is that enough?

Willow is trying to deal with Grey and the way that he rejected her. She is completely obsessed with her image how many followers she has and getting as much publicity as she can. Can she overlook the way that Grey treated her, the things that he said to her? She is faced with some choices in this book that will ultimately destroy her. The rock star life isn't all its cracked up to be.

Grey has closed himself off and refuses to talk to his brother. Even though he knows that he was
no longer in love with Quinn he is feeling seriously betrayed by Landon and is having a hard time getting past it all. With his mothers help Grey begins to see things a lot clearer but can he forgive his brother and move on?

Cruz, hot headed instigating, fun loving Cruz. He continues to remain true to himself, however he is hung up on one girl alone at the moment. Willow and Cruz have a sort of arrangement no strings but he's feeling a little something, could it be love?

Kaid the most down to earth out of them all is having to deal with Willow and Maisy and all of their issues. He spends so much time protecting and looking out for them that sometimes he just wants to think about himself but stepping into the big brother role for his two best friends/sisters leaves him no time to do that. Kaid faces an attraction to red headed beauty that doesn't date musicians, so as he continues to keep his band in check he fights his feelings for someone he knows he can't have.

This book gave us a nice glimpse into everyone's love interests, drama, and issues. We got to hear from every character along the way and watch as they struggled with their demons. This series is highly addictive but I would recommend that if you haven't started it you do so today because trust me you will not be disappointed.

WOW!!!!! Meghan Quinn completed shredded my heart once again!

Fame is book 2 in the Addiction series. Do not read Fame until you have read Toxic.

Toxic is where all the characters are introduced to us and we start to fall in love with them, but Fame is where we are absolutely ADDICTED to each of the characters. Shit goes into a tail spin at the end of Toxic and lets just say it never gets any easier for our hearts in Fame. I did fall even harder for each and every character in Fame, well for the exception of the hot ass mess Willow. She’s a train wreck and if I could have bitch slapped her, I totally would have.

I fell even more in love with Landon and Quinn! They are the cutest couple ever… but will their love last with Grey hanging in the sidelines? Will Grey ever allow Landon and Quinn to truly be happy? Moving onto Rook and Maisy. Rook is an absolute mess after leaving Maisy and shattering her heart. Will he ever be able to pick up the pieces to his life and get back to who he once was? Will Maisy ever forgive Rook or will she move on with her life after the love of her life ruined her? These are all questions that were burning in my mind when I finished Toxic and as scared as I was going into Fame, in true Meghan Quinn fashion…. She mind fucked me!

Let me just say you will fall in love with this series just as I have! I love every single person, even the wild and sexy Cruz! These rock bands Shattered Souls and Twisted Perfection look out for each other and care for each other, it’s never a competition between the bands. They might be a hot mess behind closed doors, but they always put on a fabulous performance! They just need to figure out how to close their legs and keep the peen in their pants, but without that, The Addicion Series would have been no fun! It’s just fun to see how wild they can get. Get ready to go on the ride of a lifetime in true Meghan Quinn fashion with a heart shattering beating… I’m already counting down until the next and final installment is released in this series. I CANNOT WAIT to see how each and everyone of these characters will end up. Will they each have their happily ever after or will they forever be broken? Hands down 5 stars all the way! Especially that ending... Holy shit will you flip your shit when you get to it.

This is book 2 in Meghan Quinn's Addicted Series. This continues with the messed up lives of Shattered Souls and Twisted Perfection and the more I read this series, the more appropriate those bands' names appear to be! You must read Toxic before reading this book.

After falling in love with these characters from both bands in the first book, I am head over heels now! I love that Meghan has these books involving all of the members of both bands. This book has it all: broken hearts, loads of guilt, anger, resentment and self-esteem issues, just to name a few.

My heart broke for Rook and Maisy, and I just wanted to shake her and tell her that he had such good reasons for doing something so stupid to hurt her so deeply.

"I thought you overdosed, that it was all to much for you to handle, your dad and all. I thought you took your life." Pain richocheted through Rook's body, knowing exactly what she was going to say next. "You didn't take your life that day, Rook, you took mine."

And it was hard to see how they both still loved each other, but were so broken, they couldn't be together.

It was difficult for her to take her eyes off of him. He was a beautifully ugly vision of soul and heartache, a stark contrast of heart and hatred, a passionate bastard with a talent that could eat her alive, and hell if, at that moment, she didn't start falling for him all over again.

And well, Grey too, he needed a good smack to open his eyes to what actually was reality with Quinn. And don't get me started on Willow! Watching her spiral out of control and treating everyone like garbage really angered me!

We meet a couple of new characters that play into the mix. And hell, the ending really threw me for a loop. I said WTF and had to re-read what I had just read. OMG, I was so blind-sided and it just killed me to see that I hadn't read that wrong. The ending leaves us with another cliff-hanger. And I cannot get my hands on the next book in this series to see how these tortured people will survive everything, including that shocker of an ending!

I received this copy in exchange for my honest review.

Do not read this book if you haven’t read Toxic first. I highly recommend having this book readily available after you finish Toxic. You are not left with a cliffhanger, but dying to know where the book leaves off seeing where this one will lead you. Let me just start off by saying holy cow!! I have never finished a book and been in such an emotional cluster that I didn’t know what to say or to think. The only thing I could say was OMG, you have to read this! I was heartbroken, sad, mad, starting to feel some relief from some stressful situations. I was totally thrown for a loop.

Do you ever feel like you are able to finally get some normalcy in your life only to have it come crashing down? Fame will definitely show how this can happen in more ways than one. Shattered Souls have been on their own paths for months. The only person, who is nowhere to be found, is the infamous Rook Tyler. Twisted Perfection has just finished their second tour, but now with Shattered Souls this time. Maisy continues to battle with the loss
of Rook.

Is fame the only way to work things out? By joining forces again, both bands will have to try and work out their differences. There will be love, drugs, and even death. Let’s just say that one thing is for sure, I never saw any of this coming. A happy ending is not what you will get at the end of this story. I am going to refer to my previous set of emotions: heartbroken, sad, and mad. I wanted to cry, scream, and scoff. I just didn’t know where to start. I was absolutely speechless. There were no words to explain what I felt at the end of this book. I can't wait for the next book. I'm praying it will be the calm after the storm. Thank you Meghan Quinn for an awesome read and leaving me speechless. That was a rare occasion.

EEEK! I don't know if I can wait for more. This one was so much more emotional than Toxic was. I have to know what happens to these characters!!!!!

*****FULL REVIEW*****
If you haven't read Toxic, some info could be considered a spoiler

WOW...just wow!!First, I didn't think the drama between these two bands and within each band could get more intense than it was before, but I was so wrong.

My heart broke for Rook and Maisey. I miss "Raisey" :( The pain they are both going through months after what Rook did. Toxic's ending practically ripped my heart out of my chest. Rook so desperately wants forgiveness and is willing to do anything to get it. Maisey is so destroyed that she is just going through the motions now. These two just about killed me. Talk about a roller coaster.

On top of that drama, we have Grey and Landon that need to work through their issues after the Quinn breakup. Willow is suffering from the blow to her self-esteem and confidence that Grey so graciously gave her and she's not dealing in the best way.

Landon is in his happy place aside from the rift between him and Grey. I was glad to get more Kaid POV. We really didn't get any in Toxic and Kaid is probably the most well adjusted of them all. His big brother position with Maisey and Willow has him so responsible that he's the most sane person in the bunch. I really like him. I'm kind of hoping he might get a little wild in the next book. He deserves it.

So much is going on in here that it was like my very own word soap opera. I will warn you, to have some tissues handy and be ready for an intense drama. After what happens in FAME, I'm going to have to really get in the zone before I read the next in this series. It's bound to be even more intense.

ABSOLUTELY amazing read, in my opinion.

Most books give you a series and each book follows a couple but not Meghan she gives you all the characters pov's in each and every book! There is so much going on you won't be able to put it down!

Rook & Maisy they are my favorites so lets start there. Rook crushed Maisy but he has his very valid reasons for hurting her now he has lost her forever. Maisy just can't get over the vision of what Rook did to her she's existing but not living. Rook finally pulls himself out of the gutter and is determined to win Maisy back but it's a hard road and one he's not sure if he can endure. Maisy knows Rook is the only one for her but can she get past the hurt? Slowly these two embark on a journey back to each other.
Cruz is crass and loves to stir the pot with anyone he can. He is all about an easy lay but when a Hawaiian beauty enters his world he is starting to think he wants more than just sex. Cruz isn't one for finesse when it comes to words and he just might have run off what could have been the love of his life.
Grey he has a lot of soul searching to do and a lot of forgiveness to dish out. It takes awhile for him to come around but he finally does. As for his love life well he has his heart set on a damaged beauty that is on a downward spiral, Willow. Holy moly it's tough reading about Willow because she is on the road that will most certainly lead her to her final days. Willow does hit bottom and Grey is there to help her pick up the pieces but we will have to wait and see what the future holds for them.
Landon & Quinn are in a blissful bubble and yes that bubble pops so grab your tissues it's a heart breaker.
Everyone is still a mess but some are on the right road. Can't wait for more!
Oh the sex scenes- hot, juicy & steamy!

Book 2 of the Addiction series. I am certain that book 1 needs to be read before this one, as the same people and storylines continue on.

After book 1, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Talk about going to hell in a handbasket!

First off, this book is almost non-stop sex. I would say storyline vs. sex is 50/50 - so definitely erotica.

This book takes you to very dark places with multiple characters. I felt as though all hope was lost, and it left me depressed!

The ending is a whopper right to the gut!

No matter how sexy and bad-boy troubled Rook is, I still wanted to continuously punch him in the face! Maisy - just NO!

Willow - seriously?! She definitely needs a few smacks and hair-pulling (though I suspect she'd like it!).

Landon - his bedroom choices left me confused. I dunno, just seemed completely opposite of how he was portrayed before.

Cruz - still the same sarcastic a-hole with only one thing on his mind.

Kaid - poor guy! I want to hug him and stroke his hair like a little puppy.

I don't felt like any growth occurred for the characters at all from book 1 to book 2. If anything, they went more juvenile and destructive. I can see the crazy lifestyle they live causing issues, but not for ALL of them.

I am unsure if the author plans on a book 3, but I would really want to see something different planned before I committed to that much reading time again.

I would really rate this book a 3, but for the emotional sucker punch that occurred at the end. That was the saving grace for me for this book.

We were left with one heck of a cliffhanger when Toxic ended and this book picks up 6 months afterwards. All seven of our nearest and dearest friends have done a lot of changing in their lives to get where they are in this book. Rook is missing after breaking up with Maisey and his band is literally freaking out trying to find him and fearing the worst but in actuality Rook is doing the best possible thing for himself in the situation he is in. Quinn has made her decision as to which brother is the best for her and she is eating right and taking care of herself. Cruz found someone that seems kind of sketchy but he literally can't stop thinking about her and he questions why he only gets to see her on Sundays and at night. Kaid is interested in someone too which seems to have everyone excited. Willow has gone off the rails and Maisey and Kaid are worried she is in way over her head. Rook and Maisey come to an understanding in regards to their past / present / and future. All of this soul searching is brought about by forced cohabitation by the bands label and it is almost a Real World/ Kardashian reality show with 24/7 cameras and no privacy. Again Meghan leaves us with a huge cliffy but it is NOT in regards to Rook and Maisy. Can't wait for book 3 and of course this is 5 stars :)

I don't even know what to say about this book. I think I sat there staring at my kindle with my mouth hanging open just mind completely blown. I was not prepared for that at all! Holy f*ck I need therapy after that! Ms Quinn you are one mean lady! I know one rock star that you may want to avoid dark allies from, just saying.

I really enjoyed this book.,heartbreaking ending and all, however I was more into the side stories then Rook and Maid's at times. I just felt that was dragged out a little long, and I got why that needed to happen but it was hard not seeing the whole again. As cheesy as it may sound, they complete each other.

A side from some wise cracking hilarious moments throughout the story, this book was one big dark cloud of awkward moments, depression, angst, and tension so thick you could cut it with a knife! And just when you think it might just be OK to sleep with the lights off.... BAM!! Side swipt into to blackness again. I need the next book like yesteday, it just hurts mommy. I highly recommend this series for those looking for a visit to the heartbreak hotel.

You cannot read Fame without reading Toxic. After all when relationships are “toxic”, how will fame affect your future?
Fame picks up where Toxic left off. The crap hit the fan! The tour was over and suddenly everyone scattered, running from their lives, their feelings and their demons.
This book dug deep into all of the characters and how their growing popularity was hitting them. Some were changing for the better, but some for the worse.
Death, drugs, and deception can change anyone especially when it is intertwined with lust, love and…fame.
The on again/off again between Maisy & Rook took a back seat for me in this book as I was drawn to the secondary characters. I love Grey and how can you not giggle at everything that comes out of Cruz’s mouth.
I also need to know more about Kaid. He seems to still have his head on straight for now.
My poor Landon…sigh my goodness I need to hug that poor boy. He made my heart break.

Shattered Souls & Twisted Perfection sums up these two groups so well. They are twisted and shattered and I cannot wait to hear more from them!

You did it again Meghan Quinn you left me hanging! I loved "Fame" Addiction Series book 2. It is full of angst, troubles, dark times, drugs and all the bad that can come from "Fame". You must read Toxic (book 1) before you read this book!

Fame has all the same characters that Toxic does and a few more new people were added, some that I hope show up in book 3. I thought there would be more of Rook & Maisy (lead characters in Toxic) and you will read more of their story but, it doesn't focus on them. Instead you will read more of the other band mates Willow, Grey, Landon, Quinn, Kaid.

I certainly hope the way this book ended that there will be another book in this series! There were some twists and turns that I never saw coming and some these twists and turns were very emotional. I can't tell you more because I don't do spoilers.

I hope that book 3 comes out soon because it is going to be so hard waiting to see what happens next.

Oh boy! This is currently the second series I've read of this authors. And I just find that every time I read one of her books I love her writing even more. She always finds a way to add her own style of humor to her stories. Fame was no exception. I had to opportunity to read Toxic right before reading this and I was so happy about that. Toxic has a epic cliffhanger and for that reason, besides falling in love with the characters I was glad I could continue on with this. Rook is the sexy, broken rockstar you can't help but love. There were a few times I wanted to reach into my kindle and shake him along with a few of his friends. I thought Maisy was awesome and kick ass. But I have to say my favorite person from Fame has to be Cruz. He is funny, sexy and all around amazing.

There are some very sexy moments in this book too. No spoilers here but let's just say the hot tub..wooo. Amazing book. I can't wait for the next one.

We come into this part of their story with everything in turmoil. The guys in Shattered Souls have all gone their own way each having issues they need to deal with but aren't really doing so. Twisted Perfection have hit it big and are coming off another tour without the guys. They too are struggling with challenges of their own. My heart was breaking for Maisy and Rook with how things has gone in the previous book and how they were each suffering the fallout of that last moment. This part of the story is about loss, love, forgiveness, and how to live with all of that. Meghan plucked my emotions like a guitar often going from tears to a smile. I love all the characters she has created in this rockstar world and can't wait to read the next book in the series to see what happens next.

I give Fame 5 hearts!

Part 2

‘One giant pool of musician incest’, is spot on...these dysfunctional individuals co-existed in a landmine of drama, debauchery, drugs and alcohol, not necessarily in that order.

Nary a mature, responsible person amongst them. The only one with redeeming qualities, Landon, had his HEA ripped away...très tragique❗️

Maisy - without a backbone, where was her sense of self-preservation❓ Her conviction to remain indifferent, lasted until he resurfaced. Rook exposed her insecurities and inflicted pain, yet he did not demonstrate sufficient remorse to be forgiven.

I thought Cole was insightful, Maisy was needy and weak.

Rook - get over your trust issues, grow up and behave with a semblance of maturity. Stop being boorish.

Abrupt ending - storylines upended.
