Wall Street Journal bestselling author David Horsager frequently hears executives lament that their hands are more than full trying to balance the barrage of tasks they face on a daily basis. While he never set out to be a productivity expert, Horsager realized that over the years he has developed and adopted dozens of extraordinarily practical time- and energy-saving techniques that could help today's leader. The key objective is to become so effective in the little things that you have enough time for more meaningful interactions.
In The Daily Edge, you'll learn strategies such as identifying the key Difference-Making Actions on which to focus your efforts. Perhaps it is time to set a personal or even company-wide “power hour,” during which you do not attend meetings, answer the phone, or reply to emails, creating the time and space to really focus and get things done. The thirty-five high-impact ideas Horsager introduces in succinct, quick-read chapters are easily implemented and powerful on their own. Taken together, they form a solid wave of efficacy that enables you to get more done, keep your energy up, and make sure that you're able to honor all your relationships, both personal and professional.

I read this because I got it for free. You shouldn't. Nothing new, general time management things inspired by GTD and many other better books. No soul in the book, just random collection of ideas which go from useful "Plan tomorrow today" to ridiculous "do everything faster", "use hotkeys" and "clean up space on your computer". Two stars only because most ideas aren't wrong.
I won this from Goodreads. I give this 5 stars because I struggle with a lot to take to take care of and not enough time or energy to do it all. He says create a list with the top 5 things for the day and then do them and then you can be more flexible about the rest of the day. This is a very goo time management book and it says that life is really about relationships.
This was my fastest read; in under an hour. The book is along the lines of David Allen's GTD. It has 33 short chapters that advice/tips on how to improve your day-to-day routine to get more out of your time. It is most likely that most folks would already be practicing some of the tips. Even so, many of us will find some useful tips. At least, I did :)

Pretty basic stuff if you've already spent much time looking into productivity. Not terrible, just not special either. Plus half the pages are either blank or just a single quote, so if this had been the physical version it'd be both wasting paper and space on a shelf.
As the saying goes, "there's nothing new under the sun", so don't expect this book to be filled to the brim with undiscovered tips. However it is a good mix of new twists on things that may be familiar concepts and reminders of things we know we should be doing but aren't.
It's an interesting, short and helpful book with partly useful information. There are not so many absolutely incredible tips. But some of them are new to me. Some of them are a good reminder. The book is easy to read and good organised. I'd even read it again after a little while. Just as a reminder for all those hints.
This book included good productivity advice, but nothing original. Some of the advice given also was too complex to actually be helpful. I wouldn't actually complete all of those steps. If I did, the steps would take longer than the task that needed to be completed.
The book offers a few good suggestions on how to manage time and tasks more effectively , but on the whole, nothing significantly new or innovative. A very quick read! I finished it in under 2 hours.
I'll give this a 5 stars just because it is very easy to read and its not time consuming. It is also a good book to reread for a good reminder how to be productive. It is also good for baby steps.
