Kathryn Moon is a country mouse who started dictating stories to her mother at an early age. The fascination with building new worlds and discovering the lives of the characters who grew in her head never faltered, and she graduated college with a fiction writing degree. She loves writing women were are strong in their vulnerability, romances that are as affectionate as they are challenging, and worlds that a reader sinks into and never wants to leave. When her hands aren't busy typing they're probably knitting sweaters or crimping pie crust in Ohio. She definitely believes in magic.

Please be mindful of the trigger warnings as this book deals with some heavy themes that may not be suitable for everyone.
Let’s come to the book that solidified Omegaverse as one of my favourite romance subgenres. Also that cover hello??? My girl, Lola is absolutely gorgeous in every way omgg💖💖
Frankly, this was a reread for me and it still hit just as hard the second time around.
Truth be told, I actually wanted to read Lola and the Millionaires first, but I’m someone who likes following a reading order, so I started with Baby and the Late Night Howlers. While that was a decent read for me, it immediately made me curious about Lola and what happened to her after the events of the first book.
Characters:-
Lola Barnes is a beta who has experienced significant trauma and abuse in her search for love and acceptance from an alpha. As a result, she is deeply wary of alphas and struggles with anxiety, insecurity and trust throughout the book.
What drew me to Lola’s story was the opportunity to read about a beta navigating a world where omegas are often the centre of attention. Even with everything stacked against her, Lola refuses to let her circumstances define her. She is creative, hardworking and independent, carving out a successful career for herself while trying to heal from her past.
Watching her slowly find her footing again was one of my favourite parts of the book.
The MMCs felt much stronger and more distinct in this book. Each member of the pack had a unique personality and role within the group, and it never felt like they blended together.
Leo was easily my favourite. As a fellow beta, he understands Lola in a way that the others initially cannot. His patience, empathy and determination to make her feel safe made every scene with him incredibly heartwarming.
Rake was another standout for me. Reading about a male omega was such a refreshing change and his combination of sass, sweetness and dramatic energy made him impossible not to love.
The alphas, Matthieu, Caleb, Cyrus and Wes, all brought something different to the table. Despite their differences, they function beautifully as a pack and create an environment that feels warm, supportive and genuinely loving.
Honestly, this might be one of my favourite packs I’ve ever read about. There was something incredibly comforting about watching them care for Lola without expecting anything from her in return.
Pack Dynamics:-
One of Kathryn Moon’s greatest strengths is writing relationships that feel layered and believable.
Some of the pack members already have established relationships before Lola enters the picture and I appreciated that those dynamics remained important throughout the story. Nobody’s connection felt diminished by Lola’s arrival.
The love, trust and respect between every member of the pack made them feel like a true family rather than a collection of romantic interests.
Emotional Aspect:-
This book deals with some difficult themes, but what stayed with me most was Lola’s resilience.
Despite everything she has suffered, she keeps moving forward. She stumbles, she struggles and she has moments of doubt, but she never stops trying to build a better life for herself.
The book also explores the insecurities of the MMCs, reminding us that they are not perfect either. Seeing them work through their own fears and vulnerabilities made their connection with Lola feel even more meaningful.
The healing journey throughout this book was beautifully done and easily my favourite aspect of the story.
Final Thoughts:-
Although the book ends on a cliffhanger, it never felt incomplete. Instead, it felt like the first half of a larger story that was carefully building toward something bigger.
For me, Lola and the Millionaires stands out because it is so much more than a reverse harem omegaverse romance. Beneath the spice and pack dynamics is a story about healing, acceptance, found family and learning that you deserve to be loved after surviving the unimaginable. The story continues in the second book of the series where we see how Lola deals with the demons of her past coming back to haunt her and how she protects the people she loves.
And if this wasn’t enough to convince you to give this book a chance, well, the spice is hot as sin and artfully done. Take my word for it. 😮💨
Thank you to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books for sending me this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
This book was basically “The Devil Wears Prada In The Omegaverse”, and I was here for it. Very enthusiastic 4 stars.
Unlike so many of books in the Omegaverse (where 3-5 characters are usually locked in a room “knotting” one another, and that’s the entire book), this one actually had a fairly involved plot, which is why I ended up liking it so much. I’m all for spice, but my personal preference is that there’s an element of real life to it, too—the more, the better. This book delivered.
The main character Lola experienced some significant trauma (prior to this book) which plays a big part in her storyline, but we also see a lot of clear and obvious growth that feels pretty realistic. She was also very aware that her trauma was beginning to become everyone else’s problem, and at one point even says, “I need to find a therapist,” which led me to give the book an extra half-star right then and there.
As for the writing: most of the characters are well-developed, and the ones who weren’t seem poised to be bigger players in Lola’s Book Two. There were extended periods of inner turmoil/insecurity that Lola went through, but nothing so extreme that it made me dislike Lola or the writing. I saw a few reviews ripping Lola to shreds for a bad decision she made (in a previous book) that directly led to the traumatic experiences she encountered (also in a previous book), but she’s also very self-aware that she’d done a stupid, desperate thing and took responsibility for that choice, which I liked.
The story prominently featured two betas, and I personally enjoyed this, as it gave a different vibe than when it’s just pure alphas or omegas all the time. I know that many people who love this type of world might not like it—or like the fact that there’s a male omega, plus a female beta who cannot physically “knot” with the alphas, but I thought it was done well and made the storyline focus on deeper connections instead of just the connections formed by primal sex.
Lola and the Millionaires is one of my go-to comfort reads and something so unique within the Omegaverse. In a genre that is often very spice heavy and forward, Lola's story is largely plot driven and feels very real as she grows and heals from trauma in her past. As a result of this trauma, her relationships take time (again, something that is commonly rushed in this genre) and you can see real connections grow between her and the pack.
The author does a fantastic job of giving each of our MMC's differing personalities, ensuring the all fell unique which is quite the accomplishment since there are six of them (a beta, an omega, and four alphas). The introductions to the men and their personalities never felt rushed, and getting to know each of them is paced out well as Lola becomes more confident in her place among them. They're all incredibly respectful of Lola and each other. My favorite, though, will always be sweet and calm Leo. Lola may be our focus, but the story wouldn't have come together without him.
Overall this books is the perfect blend of sweet, comfort, angst and spice. The specific trauma that led to Lola's anxiety and PTSD are quite heavy so it's worth a checking the content warnings. Book one ends on a bit of a cliffhanger with plenty of story left to tell. Whether you're new or well versed in OV, this is a great book and I would highly, highly recommend it.

Earlier this month, I read the rerelease of Baby and the Late Night Howlers, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, so I was excited to see the second installment, Lola and the Millionaires: Part One, was on NetGalley. I devoured this in one day! I adore Lola and felt for her so deeply as she tried to find peace after a traumatic experience. Her development as a character felt pretty realistic: slow, nonlinear, and difficult to do without community. She was messy and felt so human trying to figure out how to live her life despite the insecurities and trauma poisoning her. The love interests introduced do their best to aid her in getting help, heal, and show her that she is worthy of love simply because she exists. It was interesting reading about a nontraditional pack as well. I always appreciate authors stepping out of binaries and exploring different kinds of love. Overall, Lola and the Millionaires: Part One was the start of an emotional yet sexy story about a woman trying to find joy and love in life again after losing it, and I look forward to continuing her story in part two. Also give the artist a round of applause for the stunning new cover! Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!
“...he hurried up the wide slatted stairs toward an enormous, sensually detailed oil painting of a fallen angel with glossy black wings and exquisite tanned skin. The angel reminded me of Rake. It probably reminded them all of Rake.”
Geez, I thought I loved Baby and the Late Night Howlers and then Lola comes along and gives them a run for their money! I'm absolutely not ashamed to say I devoured it in an entire sitting and might do a reread soon.
After reading the first book, I was absolutely desperate for my poor girl Lola to have a happy ending. She has been through the ringer as a former Alpha chaser after she had some really terrible things happen to her. She is still working through that trauma when she meets Leo in a bar and runs off without getting his name. It's complete coincidence that she runs into him again and realizes her boss and her boss's boss are packed up with him, along with a few other men.
I really enjoyed watching Lola slowly work through her trauma and slowly get more comfortable around Leo, Rake and their pack. All the men were so patient with her. I also thought each character was very well written with distinct personalities, although I am hoping we learn more about them in the next book. Lola's chemistry with the pack was really natural and slowly she was more comfortable fitting in with them.
Plus, ending part 1 there?? I NEED more! I am already counting down the days until book 2.
Thank you to Kathryn Moon, Sourcebooks Bloom Books and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book. I am leaving this review voluntarily. '
If you want to read a great omegaverse with equal part plot and spice, this is the book for you.
I recently got hooked on the omegaverse genre, and this series came highly recommended.
The reviews are spot on and I devoured it very quickly. If this is a genre you love or are curious about, definitely dive right in. It’s an absolute gem.
Up front: this book contains lots of spice, including pack dynamics, that is intimately described. It is tastefully done and LGBTQ+ friendly.
It was such a fun, romantic, and quick-paced read. I found it was equal parts interesting plot and great spice, and I devoured it in one weekend. Please check your TWs; one is central to the plot.
I found this to be a cross between Devil Wears Prada and Pretty Woman, amidst an omegaverse; with alphas, betas, omegas and pack dynamics.
I loved the descriptions of the fashion and beauty world, the scenes, and the action. There was a nice twist and an ending that left me clamouring for more!
I was cheering for each main character; they’re each unique and easy to fall in love with.
This story is addictive and well written. I will definitely read book 2 and more from this author.
Story 4.5 ⭐️ (rounded to 5) 🌶️ 4

Thank you to NetGalley for giving me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This might have actually become one of my favorite books that I read this month, maybe even this year.
Haven't read the first book in this series, so didn't really know what to expect, but I was completely surprised and so so in love with every single one of the characters. Watching Lola's relationship with Leo and than Rake and slowly trusting the others was so perfect. Every single scene with Lola, Leo and Rake was perfect, but that one were they dance together left me speechless!!! I quickly started to love Matthieu and Caleb and Cyrus and I adored every single thing about them... how sweet and careful Matthieu is with Lola, how Caleb was so freaking nervous with her at the beginning and that all developed into that scene during Rake's heat that was the most insane spicy scene I ever read and I loved every single second of reading it. Wes is definitely the quietest between them and I can't wait to read more about him
That ending left me wanting so much more and I can't wait for book two!
I am so beyond obsessed with Lola and the Millionaires. And the fact that Lola is now getting traditionally published! As she should! This is now my fourth time reading this book ever since its self-published release in 2020 and each time I fall more in love with these characters. To read something four times (in so many years) and to not get bored and to even find different things to love about the characters …. That is a testament to Kathryn Moon.
I will always recommend omegaverse stories to literally everyone and this book is at the top of that list.
If you like: - why choose - queer-centered and queer-normative stories - a little bit of suspense - protective and bossy but also gentle and understanding characters - healing from trauma - badass women - smut and spice (obviously) - men begging - “who hurt you?” - EMPHASIS ON CONSENT AND RESPECT AND CHOICE
Then you’re going to love this. 💕
Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced electronic reader’s copy in exchange for a fair, but honest review. 💕
I first read the indie published version of Lola & the Millionaires back in April 2026, and was so happy to receive an advanced copy of this traditionally published version to dive back into. Lola & the Millionaires was my first omegaverse novel and it has sparked a deep obsession of the genre in me that has allowed me to explore other authors who write for it.
That said, Lola & the Millionaires (and Kathryn Moon in general) are exquisitely superior in so many regards. Her stories are rich in setting with complex characters and well written passages that portray a multitude of emotions and situations that leave your chest tight and your eyes burning.
Plus, no one writes omegaverse and monster smut like Kathryn Moon.
Lola & the Millionaires is the perfect story for anyone wishing for introduction to the omegaverse, or even someone looking for a complex story of love, healing, and acceptance.
Thank you to the author, Bloom Books, and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Holy wow! This was such a spicy read—I definitely needed to go touch some grass afterward. The relationships were such a fun time to read, and I also listened to the audiobook alongside the physical book, which made the experience even more immersive. The omegaverse elements introduced me to a whole new world of bonding and mating dynamics, and I found that aspect really interesting.
This book was incredibly sensual, steamy, and well written. I also appreciated how open it was in its portrayal of nontraditional relationships. Beyond the romance, I liked that Lola's character explored mental health, particularly her experiences with panic attacks, and it was heartwarming to see everyone looking out for her.
Indy, on the other hand... absolutely terrifying. Every time they appeared, my heart was racing. Overall, this was such an entertaining read. I flew through it in one sitting and can't wait to pick up Part 2!
** Thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Bloom Books for providing this ARC for review. **
I absolutely adored this one! I wasn’t sure how this was going to go since I was okay with book 1, but didn’t love it. I’m thrilled to report that I was hooked from the very beginning. I stayed up all night reading it!Lola’s relationships in this story were well thought out and I felt their deep care for her. I loved the way their story progressed, and the ratio of plot to spice in this one was just right for me. Kathryn Moon really nailed it with this installment. Can’t wait to read the next one!
♥️Omegaverse ♥️Why Choose ♥️Age Gap ♥️Billionaire ♥️Found Family
One of the best omegaverse books I’ve read! It is a longer read, but every page was worth it. This isn’t your typical omegaverse story. The FMC isn’t an omega, she’s a beta struggling with a traumatic past and learning to see her own worth in a world that places so much value on being an omega. I loved watching her journey, and I absolutely loved every one of the guys. I was completely invested in their story and I can’t wait for part two!
If you are an omegaverse lover then I highly recommend!
Thank you to NetGalley, Bloom Books, and the author for a copy of this book.
I love this book so much, I flew through it in a day. I love the non-traditional pack structures in this series, it was so nice to get a story from a beta's PoV, it felt very fresh. I was so curious about Lola while reading Baby's story, Lola had an absolutely terrible time with Buzz and Indy. I am so so happy she found a pack to love and take care of her. I can't wait to read Part 2!
Lola is basically the gateway drug to diving into the Omegaverse. It was one of the very first Omegaverse books I read and it's such an incredible book. Lola's character has had horrible experiences with alphas and the way that the pack rallies around her and offers her support through so many different personalities is one of my favourite things about why choose Omegaverse. I received an early copy of the rerelease but read the original years ago.
