Too much inner dialogue, not enough person-to-person conversations.
I can find myself getting into this series if only Logan can get out of her damn head.
Bentley has potential of a being a book boyfriend if only I knew some more about him.

This is another one of those silly stripper h stories where the h doesn’t strip. She’s on stage in boy shorts and a cami because she’s so special.🙄 she also doesn’t do private dances, not like other dancers.🙄
Her dance moves gave me major second hand embarrassment too lol🫢. I didnt know if she’s dancing erotically or doing yoga.
“Pushing my legs together and laying them flat behind me, I push up into a plank position before spinning into a back bend and slowly kicking myself over.
Grabbing the pole directly in front of me, I grip the smooth metal and climb about two feet with my hands before wrapping one leg around it and doing a half spin, my other leg stretched out to the side giving everyone in the audience a perfect view of my inner thigh.”
“Lowering myself into a split, I look in his direction as seductively as I can muster before twisting my body back around and pushing up into a handstand, my legs still completely spread apart.”

You and I, Forever is the final installment of the You and I Series. If I could choose one book from this series I loved the most, it would be You and I, Forever. There is love, anger, jealousy, sadness and sex. Everything we generally look for in a book. I fell in love with Bentley even more than I thought possible. Finally, we get to see ALL of Bentley, which includes the secrets he always held so closely. Anna has been through so much in her life and now with Bentley, it’s a whole new roller coaster ride as we’ve seen since the beginning of their relationship. Will love finally conquer all for these two? Will they finally get a happily ever after? Will Anna and Bentley be able to overcome all the insecurities they face as a couple? This series just gets better and better. Seeing these two characters grow within themselves and with each other is such a beautiful journey, I enjoyed every single second of it. Bentley is a good man and we see more of the amazing man that he is.

2/10/15 - Fantastic! Two strong and passionate main characters who were afraid of commitment, but seemed to find something so powerful and endearing in each other. So looking forward to continuing their story in the next installment to this trilogy...
3/4/15 – This one gets off the blocks running and it doesn’t let up with the drama, intrigue, and intimacy until the final page is turned. Two people so in control of their lives while both are dealing with ramifications in the past with career ending injuries. Bentley is rich, gorgeous, and smart. He’s the owner of several exclusive nightclubs that cater to the rich and famous. Anna/Logan is an exotic dancer in one of his nightclubs that is also a hard-working college student. She’s basically always done her own thing. When these two meet, however, their chemistry and attraction is off-the-charts. Can two strong and confident individuals let down their guard enough to let another see them for who they really are? Bentley, though, wants Logan any way he can have her. He’s not willing to stand by and let someone else come between them. He wines and dines her with meaningful gifts in order to show her that he’s more than capable of making her happy.
Wow! Both Logan and Bentley (not too crazy about a gorgeous guy with a name like that, though) were amazing! When they are together intimately it’s scorching and just plain HOT!!! Way to write those sex scenes Ms. Toppen!!! They were just so erotically charged with heat and intensity! As their relationship deepens, however, Logan does seem to let Bentley in more and more each time they are together. The book does end in a cliffhanger, and it’s a shame that I have to wait until April to see how their relationship evolves some more. It’s such a great story, though, I’m willing to wait it out. Ms. Toppen pulls the reader into the story with two explosive characters and their seductive lives. Both Logan and Bentley were totally likable as they learn how much that they are willing to sacrifice to find love. I’m sure that there will be much more drama, and I’m hoping that there are some juicy secrets as well, when the other two parts of this trilogy are released. I had no idea what I was going to encounter within this book because I had never read a Melissa Toppen book before, but I was definitely entertained and enjoyed every word of it. This is one thrilling read!

Fantastic!!!
I received an Arc for an Honest review.
What a fantastic continuation to Logan/Anna and Bentley's story.
What i love about this book the most is Logan, her character she is so strong and
independent i am just in love with her, she takes no sh%t and stands her ground,
she tells it like it is and doesn't let Bentley or anyone else stop her from what it is she believes
is right. sure she has insecurities but what female doesn't.
Trust becomes an issue for them both as some secrets are revealed and Bentley doesn't take
it well when he finds out some things that Anna felt he didn't need to know.
And as for Anna well she see's an opportunity to find out just what it is that Bentley
feels the need to hide about his past.
All in all these two love hard but will People interfering and throwing lies their way put an end to
relationship?
their both so afraid of one leaving the other that their
mistakes along the way cause them both to get hurt.
The sex is still Hot and Bentley still has a way with words he makes me all warm inside.
I swooned, I smiled, and i cried it was a perfect continuation of Logan and Bentley

4 Stars Very good!!! Some Slight SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!!!!
This is the first book I have read by this author and I liked it a lot! I loved Dax and Lo and together they were pretty hot. I really didn't like them each being with other people in those particular 2 scenes, albeit they were not graphic, but ehhhh...... that's not my cup of tea:( I was however glad once they got back together, it was just them:) The latter half when she finally got her head in the game and found what she found at his place, again, just not my cup of tea either! I get it but I hate that it left me wondering if she hadn't gone theree even though we do get his thoughts but still, ehhhhh didn't like it but that's just my own personal reading preferences??? Also he didn't wait that long either after he professes his love to be in that predicament either, ya, that didn't sit right with me either but not knowing this author's style, I guess it all stunned me monetarily and although I didn't like it, I get it was pertinent to who they each were too!

I have never read this author before so was pleased to dive in!
So, this book starts at a wedding, Lauren (Lo) is a bridesmaid and Dax is a guest…who just happen to be Lo’s new boss at the club, Allure, where she works.
Then…BANG…OMFG..so so HOT…’I may only get you once, but I promise you are going to feel me for days’!!! FAN ME, FAN ME…actually don’t worry about the fan, fetch me some new undies!!! That was it, the moment I knew that I was going to flove this book!!
The story then goes on, they try to stick to their self-imposed rules, trying to protect their broken hearts…secrets of their pasts are revealed..and they aren’t pleasant…betrayal stings. Can these 2 damaged souls heal each other?
This book was fabulous, told in dual POV and the writing was superb. A must read!

I got the privilege to beta read this book and let me tell you .... this book had me smitten from page one up until the end.
The trailer is what caught my eye first and I just couldn't wait to get my hands on it.
This is book 1 of 3 and the story begins for Anna Blake (Logan) and Bentley Reed.
Anna is an exotic dancer at an exclusive club, which happens to be owned by none other than Bentley Reed, a famous soccer player, turned business mogul. Anna has never met Bentley until one night when she was up on stage she caught the eye of a man and she instantly felt hook ups but that's it, that's all they are.
Bentley will do whatever he can to get this beautiful creature to accept to go out with him and Anna makes him an offer to sleep with him for one night and one night only. Bentley agrees but after that one night of hot, passionate sex -- neither one can seem to forget the other.
Bentley continues to try and convince Anna that he's serious about her and her only. Anna isn't easily persuaded and she will continue giving Bentley a hard time because she's afraid to fall for a man, a man like him -- so powerful, rich and gorgeous.
The pull these two had towards each other was so intense and the chemistry was off the charts!
I can't wait to continue reading this beautiful love story that has developed between Anna and Bentley. I'm sure more obstacles will come between them, but they will find a way to overcome them, or will they!!

I will read the sequel. (Spoilers ahead)
I've seen this book advertised on social media, so I jumped at the chance to read it. (There are mention of things that could be considered spoilers in this review.)
I will admit that I almost DNF-d it about 3 times.
Certain things annoyed me: in one scene the heroine puts her jeans on, then two minutes later she's literally getting plowed against the wall BUT HER JEANS NEVER CAME OFF. I checked. Several times. They just kinda poofed to the floor because that's where she picked em up from a page later.
That bugged me.
Second, it's garters. Garters. Not guarders, that's not even a thing. Garter as in garter belt.
Lastly, the entire scenario is a walking cliche- billionaire falls for girl (who's name was Anna).
Billionaire is borderline stalker/psycho, which the heroine (again ANNA) admits is creepy (wait for it) but shrugs it off because hey, billionaire! (To be fair, I've never been in that situation where the stalker was a billionaire so maybe I'd do the same. Doubt it but okay.)
Billionaire has never felt this way before (didn't see that one coming- deadpan voice).
Those all annoyed me.
So why the 4 star?
Because I couldn't put it down. I wanted to know what happened, and even though the heroine and hero were wishy washy as hell at times, I read through. I enjoyed the secondary characters, the back story, and even the plot itself, even if it was a bit predictable at times.
Overall, a good story, and I'd like to read the sequel.

You and I Together is the second book in the You and I series. You need to read You and I Alone before reading this.
I definitely loved reading more of Bentley and Anna’s relationship. I felt like I got more of a first hand look into their relationship and I got more of the feels in this book. Unfortunately for Anna, she doesn’t know everything about Bentley and so it was a bumpy ride for their relationship. Will they be able to truly open their hearts and really let each other in?
I FLOVED this second book in the series and thoroughly enjoyed Bentley. He is freaking awesome, sexy and so very charming. He may have been a man whore in the past, but Anna has changed him for the better. I cannot even express how much I love Bentley, he really does go from giving the player persona in the first book to loving boyfriend in You and I Together. Caution: You will want to take pole dancing lessons upon completion of these books. lol. It’s just that hot!

4.5* This has a great storyline and characters that keep your interest. I loved that it had heat but the story wasn't overrun with sex; which allows more time for character development. And while this book didn't have a lot of drama, I have a feeling book 2 will deliver some!
Logan (Anna) is strong, independent, confident and doesn't do relationships. So she knows better than to start something with Bentley when her attraction to him is greater than anything she's ever felt and she just met him.
Bentley is a hot, sexy , successful man who always gets what and who he wants as long as there is no relationship involved. So when Logan tells him no he finds a challenge. But is he up for the challenge or will he have to change his game mid-play?
When feeling arise will they run or try and make a go?

This book is a great, solid beginning of the You and I trilogy and I can’t wait to read the next part of Anna and Bentley’s love story. I wouldn’t say that it ends with a cliffhanger, but their story isn’t over yet. I loved Anna and Bentley. Anna is passionate, loving, smart and hardworking. She has been through some difficult periods in her life, but she never gives up. Bentley is an extremely rich and determined man. He wants Anna and will not give up until she gives him a chance. There is something about her that makes her different from any other woman he has ever met. He only wants to spend more time with her. Bentley is still a little mysterious and I can’t wait to get to know him better in the next book.

Yep. Loved it!
Let me start with the smut. Not because it’s most important, but because it was out of this world. Holy hotness, batman. I think my Kindle has scorch marks. It’s funny to have met and chatted with an author who seems so…. You know.. normal. And then see inside what is clearly her dirty, dirty mind. It makes me like her more. So, yeah. Hot.“Oh don’t give me that innocent girl routine. I know you Anna Blake. You are a bad girl wrapped in a pretty package.”
However, as much as I love smut, I do not love it at the price of good character development or plot. Fortunately I didn’t have to choose here. The plot isn’t Earth-shattering, but it also wasn’t cookie cutter. I loved that the protagonist is a stripper. She’s actually an unapologetic stripper and I dig that. She isn’t slutty (not that there’s anything wrong with that) but she likes sex and doesn’t feel ashamed of that. Good for her.I only need him once. Just once. One taste, one feeling, just one time.
Our protagonist is pretty rich. I mean, he doesn’t own a country or anything, but he’s a successful businessman. Now if Melissa followed the Standard Romance Novel Template, he’d also be an asshole. I kept waiting for it. Nope. Not so much. I mean, he’s all kinds of alpha male. Delish! But he’s actually just a guy who’s really into a girl. And the girl is pretty into him, but maybe a little freaked out about it, too.“I can still taste you on my lips.”
What really drew me through this novel was just watching their relationship unfold. It felt natural and real to me. (You know, except where natural and real involves impossibly beautiful people. It is still fantasy, ya know?) The ending took me by surprise in both good and bad ways.
I liked it, it fit the book, but it is also a cliffhanger and DAMN IT I want the next book like yesterday. Write faster, Melissa! All in all, discovering Melissa’s writing was just as fun and easy-to-like as Melissa herself made for a very good day. You should make You and I Alone part of a very good day for you, too.“You are my kryptonite Logan. My fucking kryptonite.”
Smut Factor: 5 stars- Had to wake my husband at 2am to quench my “need.”
Character likability: 5 stars- He’s my book boyfriend and I want to BE her.
Storytelling: 4 stars- Totally bought it.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I thought Melissa's first two books were amazing but she out did herself with this one. You and I, Forever took me on an emotional roller coaster, and as heart breaking as some of the book was, it was wonderful.
The book picks up right after the end of the second one and Anna and Bentley are making their relationship work and things are going really well until Anna finds out there is something wrong with Patty. Anna devotes her time to Patty and Bentley is so supportive and caring and kind. It made my heart swell to see how he treated both women.
When things are getting bad for Patty and and Anna have a moment and it was an ugly cry moment if I ever had one.
"You inspired me. You gave me an outlet and as such taught me how fight my way back. I say, swallowing hard.
"No dear you inspired me." She smiles weakly. "Now go I need to rest." She says yawning again. I love you Anna." "Love you too."
Patty and Bentley also share a very sweet moment, quietly observed by Anna.
"...I want her to not just believe in happily ever after. I want her to get her happily ever after. After all, she gave me mine."
Anna and Bentley go away after she obtains closure from Patty, and her family, losses. While they are gone they get married in a private ceremony on the beach. They are joined, the perfect couple in the perfect ceremony.
"I once said Bentley is my dance. And he is. He is the only thing in this world that makes me feel the way that dance does and he is the only thing that not only centers me but frees me."
When they come back to Chicago things are going really well for them until Andrea calls Anna in crisis and she goes to help but then gets taken by Aaron and he ends up crashing her car and putting her in the hospital. While they are there they find out that Anna is pregnant and has been since her previous hospital visit when she injured her knee.
Bentley summed things up perfectly for Anna though.
"Sometimes life has a way of giving you exactly what you need. Even when you least expect it."
After Anna is released from the hospital their lives are settled and happy. They spend the holidays with Bentley's family, and finally tell his mom they are married and expecting. Every one is elated for them.
At the end Bentley takes Ann to see their home and he carries her over the threshold into their new life together. They very special and deserved HEA.
"Because we are human. We are flawed and full of imperfections. But that doesn't mean we can't find happiness. It doesn't mean we can't find the kind of love they talk about in fairy tales."

I love Melissa Toppen's writing, so this is painful for me. This is a story I would have loved a few years ago but as I've gotten older, my tastes have changed and I am not as easily impressed by books. My main problem is that I never connected with the characters. I feel like I know nothing about them other than being told a few sad events from their pasts. I needed more depth, more emotion, more angst, more something.
Bentley was a bit of a stalker although it was played off as being sweet, which didn't sit right with me. Anna told him that she didn't want to be with him or sleep with him but he just kept pushing. He didn't cross the line into forceful territory, but he was certainly headed that way. He seemed to know everything about Anna but both she and the reader knew nothing about him. It's not enough to tell me the hero is sex on legs, has a sad past, and owns the club Anna dances at. It was never explained why Bentley was so fascinated with her other than the fact she told him no, which doesn't exactly make him all that endearing. He starts off a rich playboy but morphs into a lovestruck man, which made his character very inconsistent. I was glad Anna stood her ground and told him to get lost, but she unfortunately quickly caved to his good looks, charm, and stalking. I wanted to love Bentley, I really did. He had the potential to be a book boyfriend but I was never made to care about him. Overall, I didn't feel anything at all about their relationship or the OM/OW drama that occurred at the end. In fact, I was thinking thank God because I had gotten pretty bored. At this point, I am undecided whether I will be continuing the series.

The only problem is he is too perfect for her which is a problem, since she doesn’t do relationships. After a night of hooking up, she thinks she can just leave and be done, boy was she wrong. This book was so so good!!! I loved Lo and Dax and their relationship was fun to read!! Great job!!

I have mixed feelings about this book. Nothing against the plot itself, I got what I came for it that department. It's the little things that got to me.
The characters
I liked the main heroine Anna/Logan. Anna doesn't do relationships. She has casual arrangements and has fun, but the moment it stops working for her, or if the partner starts wanting more - she's out. It's not often for the female in books to behave in such a typical way reserved for the male character, but it worked here.
But man, the constant name switching between Anna and Logan was a little confusing and a lot annoying. I mean, stick to one name.
Then there was Bentley Reed. It's like he decided to change personalities halfway through the story, going from an arrogant rich dick to a sweet boy next door. I don't have anything against either of those personalities, I just prefer for the characters to stick to one (like with the names) to avoid the confusion.
The relationship
I was actually reading with a constant frown on my face, thinking that it all was too easy and waiting for the second shoe to drop. Then the time was coming for the characters to have their conflict (you know there's always one by the end of the book) before they would come together again. But I must say, it was pretty inconsequential. I expected something more dramatic for their 'fight', but it was pretty laid back. I didn't even had time to realize that they had a fight, because they got back together so quickly.
So, all of those things I wrote, I'm not saying that it's all bad. It's just somethings that did not work for me. All in all, You and I, alone was pretty nice. Still thinking about whether or not to read the second book.

Taming Lo where do i begin? Flipping Fantastic that's where, It's a dual pov which i absolutely love, and a spin off from the You And I series.
Dax is a friend of Bentley's from college and has moved to Chicago to work at Allure.
He's a ladies man, doesn't do relationships. he likes his life just the way it is.
Lo is one of the dancers at Allure she's sexy and confident and comfortable with the way she lives.
she Doesn't ever sleep with the same man twice and keeps as far away from any man that tries to tame her.
Neither one of them is looking for or wants love.
When Lo and Dax run into each other again at Anna and Bentley's second wedding the sparks fly.
these two have some serious chemistry. but they do not give into their feelings, or do they?
I loved how strong Lo is, she is a bit wild but what's not to love about that.
When she reveals what happened to her to make her the way she is I was heart broken,
i felt for her and hoped she could let go of all that had happened in her past.
Dax is just oh so hot, he has the perfect balance of Hot and sweet with it not being to much.
Their sex was off the charts it's pretty clear there will be no problems in the bedroom.
Another thing i loved was the dual pov getting to see inside the mind and heart of both Dax and Lo.
and having more of Anna and Bentley was fantastic, just when i started to miss them they come back
and give me a little more of a glimpse into their lives.
Melissa did an exceptional job giving us Lo's story i had always wondered about her and i'm very
pleased with the outcome. I look forward to reading what's next from her.

and having more of Anna and Bentley was fantastic, just when i started to miss them they come back
and give me a little more of a glimpse into their lives.
Melissa did an exceptional job giving us Lo's story i had always wondered about her and i'm very
pleased with the outcome. I look forward to reading what's next from her.

Bentley and Anna are reconciled. They realize their love is a once in a life time thing. Anna knows Bentley will be there for her no matter what. It's a good thing too 'cause it's about to get intense. Everything is changing. It seems like once Anna deals with a hot situation, they keep coming. She will learn just how strong she is, and more importantly, she'll find out just how strong the bond between her and Bentley is.
Bentley's life is changing too. He's got so much business he's dealing with. The problem is, he just wants to be with Anna. He wants to make her life better. He knows eventually she'll open up completely for him. He just has to be patient. Will they survive all the changes?
This book is part of a series, but each one can stand alone and be wonderful too. Bentley and Anna's story is one of love, acceptance and strength. I adore this series. Passionate, intense and ever-changing, you can't help but love the characters. The writing is solid. The characters very realistic. However, get the tissues, cause you'll need them for this one. It tugged at my heart throughout and made me see just how deeply one person can love another. I was swept away on the first page and gently, but firmly returned to Earth when it ended. I can understand the motivation for each character. It's not always easy to accept the motivation though. I'm certain you will want this heartwarming, loving and beautiful book in your library. Get the entire series, you'll love them all.

Wow, I don't know how to even start, but I have to say that this was such a beautifully written series. You and I Forever, the conclusion to the series was just marvelous and I'm sadden that we will not have more of Bentley and Anna, but I"m so happy that it finished with such a bang!
Bentley and Anna go through so much in this whole series, so many ups and downs and mistrust involved, but in this last book we had quite some tearful moments and I got a little teary eyed at a certain part in this book because it brought back sad memories for me of something that happened to my family similar to what Anna went through in this part of the book.
Bentley was hurting to see the love of his life suffer but he never left her and stood by her side and made sure he was there for her regardless if she wanted him there or not. Anna knew that Bentley was really in it for the long haul after witnessing how much he cared for her and everything he was doing for her, going out of his way and making sure she was happy.
We not only get sadness in this book, we also get happy times and I can't ask for a better ending to a story like the one we got in the You and I series.
Melissa, you have done such an exceptional job with this series and I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next!!

We all have something in our past that scars us and makes us who we are today. Something that we carry with us, intentionally or unintentionally, everyday and shapes the choices we make. Lo had rules for this exact reason, but when Dax walks into her life she begins to question all of them. She has never had a man make her question her resolve. This really throws Lo through a loop.

Let me first say, when I saw the book trailer, I knew I HAD to read this. But then, I read the synopsis and I was like, omg... I need to know more. Melissa was gracious enough to give me an ARC and I squeeled like a little school girl getting her first crush! I was so excited to read this book, it's not even funny. (Well, kinda). lol
I'm not going to tell you what the story is about becuz it's redundant when you've already read the synopsis. I WILL tell you that this book had me seriously addicted from the get go. I loved Anna's character and strong willed personality. She's all about the fun and no commitment becuz of her lifestyle. Then comes in Bentley with his sexy self, commanding attention from Anna. I couldn't get enough of these two. I wanted to see where the story was going, would there be some hot sex involved? Well, Melissa surely Did. Not. Hold. Out. The sex was hot, hot, hot!! It was told in a way that was making me beg for more. I want more!
These two really did capture my attention and I loved every single moment. This is book 1 of 3 and I can't wait for the next installment. It was a story that really got me out of my book funk! I highly recommend you read this.

I was so looking forward to the continuation of Bentley and Anna's story, and Melissa did not disappoint at all!!
Anna, I must say is one of my favorite female characters. I love her independent dont take any crap attitude. But as it came to light in the story sometimes these traits cause issues.
Trust issues, played a huge role in this one. Anna choosing to hide things from Bentley only seemed to come back and bite her in the end. Can the two work passed their issues or have the mistakes that have been made cause to much of a barrier between the two?
Also Bentley choosing to hide things from his past from Anna seem to only cause more problems. Will he learn to open up and let Anna in?
I was completely sucked into this one right from the start! The amount of drama and angst also the hot chemistry between Bentley and Anna was amazing! I love the characters and I still think everyone needs a Bently in their life!! I can not wait for the next book to see where it all goes. Will Bentley and Anna get their happily ever after?? I would definitely recommend this to everyone, Melissa's writing is amazing and she has a way of drawing you in!! So excited for more!

Amazing!! Melissa knocked this one right out of the park!!

I loved how this story was written yes there is sex hot sex but it was the story itself that captured

And once Anna realizes her feelings for him will it be to late?
