Left in charge of his three baby bugs, Spiderus wears himself out trying to be the perfect parent. Miss Spider and Holley show him, however, that the only secret to good parenting is giving your little ones lots of love.
David Kirk is the creator of children's books that follow the character Miss Spider. Before writing books, he made colorful toys that were sold in hand-painted boxes. He was urged to write children's books when his toys caught the interest of a book packager. It wasn't difficult to figure out what he would use as characters in his stories: his daughter, Violet, had a liking for bugs. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_K...

A great little read for an introduction in to children's chapter books. The message is really to be the best parent that you can be and your kiddos will be fine. It's really cute and I loved the message :)
Miss Spider books are very nice to read and the illustrations are always colorful and creative. Although this particular 'story' was written more for the adult reading to their child than for the child themselves. So that was a little disappointing...(Thus for the three star rating instead of our usual four or five for Miss Spider.) My 2 year old Granddaughter did stay with the story until the end but you could tell she was only 'into' it due to the illustrations.
Spiderus, Miss Spider's neighbor, has to watch his triplets while his wife goes away. He thinks it's very simple and easy. But throughout the story the three babies are into mischief, cries, and are just plain handfuls as any child is. He's unsure about being a Daddy and wonders if he is doing things 'right'. So he gets advice from Miss Spider and Holley.
