Knot My Alpha #3

Defiantly Claimed

One omega who refuses to be claimed. One alpha willing to wait forever. And a bond that proves safety is found in trust, not walls.

Micah has sworn he'll never be claimed. After watching his family destroyed by bonds, he knows the claiming bites are cages. No matter how attractive the security guard is, Micah's freedom matters more.

Sully sees through Micah's walls. The brilliant omega treating kindness like a threat? He's scared, not cold. And Sully has all the patience in the world to prove not all alphas are monsters.

But Micah doesn't want patience. He wants Sully—just not the bond. He'll offer sex, anything physical. Just never his throat. Never permanence.

Sully refuses. He wants all of Micah or nothing. A real relationship, not just heat and hormones. If that means waiting while Micah learns bonds can be partnerships? Sully will wait as long as it takes.

Then Micah's heat hits, and he makes a terrifying he asks Sully to help him through it. No claiming. Just three days of Sully proving he can be trusted not to bite—even when Micah is begging.

What Micah expects is an alpha who loses control. What he gets is something far more an alpha who keeps every promise.

And now Micah has to decide if the scariest thing isn't being claimed—it's choosing not to be.

A high-heat omegaverse romance about choosing to be claimed. Featuring creative trust solutions, a patient alpha, and a bond that's earned, not forced.

The title of this book makes no sense because it sounds like an alpha claiming an omega against their will, but this book tells a story that is the complete opposite. The alpha waits until the omega asks for the claim with a clear head, which is after they've been dating by a while and have spent a heat together (I'm assuming that they actually have sex during heat because they were already having sex regularly). They even said they were in love before they bonded, and while it was still a little fast, I liked that they'd actually gotten to know each other and dated for a bit before becoming claimed mates. This book has no contradictions within itself, and while some of the writing is a bit repetitive, it's a good story overall.

I liked the book just fine. The ending was just kind of abrupt. And spending one heat together and then bonding right away for something that felt like a bone deep fear is hard to believe.

Also we don't get to see if Micah actually works on being a teacher....

What we have from the book is great, but it feels like we got half a book.... So just two stars.
