Have Yourself a Knotty Little Christmas: A cozy spicy monster romance holiday short story

Rate this book
At the Christmas Calamity, in the snow they snuck out,
The dryad and the selkie found the greenhouse.

The short story of Vian, the dryad woodworker, and Anya, the selkie CPA, and the events that followed their mistletoe kiss, as spotted by Silvia in All the Creatures Were Stirring.

Have Yourself a Knotty Little Christmas is a silly little low-stakes, high-heat, quick-burn short story with lots of spice and very little else! It takes place during the timeline of All the Creatures Were Stirring and is intended to be a sweet, cozy little short to enrich this universe of characters! You don't need to read All the Creatures Were Stirring or Summon D for Demon before reading this, but you'll enjoy it more if you do!

Dove Soleil

Dove Soleil writes cozy, low stakes, high heat monster romance, paranormal romance, romantasy, and sci-fi romance with occasional feelings, lots of levity, and big ol'... happily ever afters!
She really likes to write witty banter, red hot spice, and edge it with just enough angst and emotion.
Things you'll find in Dove's books: lots of consent, realistic bodies, silliness, queer rep, neurodivergent and mental health rep, lots of spice.
Things you won't find in Dove's books: washboard abs, really deep plot/worldbuilding, absolutely soul-crushing angst*.

*Okay, she can't promise that. Dove loves angst. But if you want angst, you're best to check out Evita Wren's work, as Dove Soleil is a pen name of contemporary romance author Evita Wren.

I am KNOT going to ever get over this book!
I haven't read many books with dryads...however I cannot imagine any of them coming close to this one.
The way this author so effortlessly creates these characters... then adds all these little details...it's literal perfection!
I mean these two their attraction there's no denying it... their chemistry is so primal...with that touch of magic that this little bog creates!
The way this author not only manages to
encapsulate what these characters are experiencing but also how it is impacting all of the things around them is so incredible.
All the little details that had such a huge impact on the development of not only the characters but the story itself.
And then just that raw and primal chemistry between these two...my heavens...of course a tree would have a knot...and I ain't mad about it!
The way that this author manages to write
some of the hottest scenes I've ever read but also
some of the most sweet and tender is a true art form!
If you love monster romance... this author is a
must read!

Shorty Smutty Holiday Goodness

"Have Yourself a Knotty Little Christmas" by Dove Soleil is a cute and cozy little holiday smut featuring Vian, the shy Dryad, and Anya, the alluring Selkie. I am loving these extras in the 'Summon D'verse.' Soleil does an amazing job adding so much interesting depth of character, even in such a quick read. Can't wait to read more from Dove Soleil in the future!

This quick 35 page is a spin off of All the Creatures Were Stirring and baby they were!!!

Not gonna lie I wish this was longer because I feel like Vian and Anya could be SO SO much!

I did however love love this short story even if it was in fact short...

All it took was 1 line in another book to spark this and here's to hoping there's a new years special.

Sweet and spicy

Loved this little novella! Such a sweet story between a shy, quiet dryad and a not afraid to put herself out there selkie. The spice was spicing and who knew getting it on in a greenhouse could be so fun!
This is set in the same world as Summon D for Demon, which I absolutely loved!
