Pretending to date Whitetail Falls' hottest firefighter was never part of my morning plan.
When Lieutenant Logan Price bursts into my café in a panic, I expect him to order his usual coffee. Instead, he asks me to pose as his girlfriend.
Me. The girl who's never been anyone's first choice.
It's just for show, of course. A few days of hand-holding, meaningful glances, and playing the happy couple before things return to normal. I tell myself I can handle it.
But when Logan suggests we "practice" a kiss to look convincing? That's when everything combusts. One kiss shouldn't change everything. One touch shouldn't make me forget this is all pretend.
So, how did I let myself fall for a man who only asked me to pretend?
The Handsome Firefighter is a short, sweet, and steamy small-town instalove romance with a happy-ever-after. It can be read as a standalone or together with the rest of the books in the Whitetail Fire Station series.
Sometimes love shows up disguised as a bad idea—and The Handsome Firefighter proves that pretending can be the first step to something achingly real.
Savannah never thought she’d be anyone’s first choice, so when Lieutenant Logan Price—the hottest firefighter in Whitetail Falls—bursts into her café and asks her to be his fake girlfriend, her world tilts. It’s supposed to be harmless. A few hand-holds. Some convincing smiles. Nothing more than a temporary escape from his past. Easy, right?
Except nothing about Logan feels temporary.
What starts as a quick lie to dodge an ex quickly turns into stolen moments, quiet conversations, and a “practice” kiss that ignites far more than either of them is ready for. Logan didn’t walk into the Enchanted Bean expecting to find the woman who would change his life—and Savannah certainly didn’t expect to fall for a man who only meant to pretend.
The beauty of this story is in the slow burn. Watching Savannah step into her worth while Logan realizes that what he’s been searching for has been right in front of him all along is incredibly satisfying. Their connection grows naturally, fueled by chemistry, tenderness, and the kind of emotional safety that sneaks up on you when you least expect it.
This book delivers all the cozy small-town vibes, swoony firefighter energy, and heartfelt romance you could want. It’s warm, sweet, and deeply relatable—especially for anyone who’s ever felt like the second choice, only to discover they were the right one all along.
If you love fake dating that turns real, gentle emotional growth, and couples who are clearly meant for each other, The Handsome Firefighter is a must-read. What begins as a simple favor becomes the real deal—and honestly, that makes the happily ever after even sweeter.

Savannah is the sweetest girl (literally!) who works in the bakery, and in a moment of selfish weakness, Logan asks her to fake pretend be his girlfriend. I thought this was pretty selfish because, Logan, if you live in a small town and later break up, that's gonna have repercussions, don't you think? Savannah agrees to play along because she's the sweetest, and kind and helpful, and thinks that this is her only chance to be with someone like Logan. But don't worry, Logan redeems himself!
This is a short story but filled with so so much chemistry, I mean, just because they're firefighters doesn't mean they have to literally be on fire?! There is great banter, and a lot of realistic emotions like fear and insecurity. I have been reading a few of the books from this series (I missed out a few and will have to go back and read them!) and enjoyed them all. I am a huge fan of the author's!! And also, how are all of her book covers so hot? :D
I am completely captivated by Summer Rose's writing style! The wonderfully crafted short reads are perfect for immersing yourself in the characters and their compelling narratives; I find myself completely drawn in, and the engaging interactions between the main characters in each book are a real highlight. I especially appreciate how seamlessly these individual stories connect and enrich the overall Whitetail Falls: Fire Station series, making it a truly satisfying and enjoyable reading experience; the world-building and character development are truly exceptional, leaving me eagerly anticipating the next installment.

Logan notices his ex across the street and tries to get away before she sees him. He enters the Enchanted Bean and notices Savannah. Panicking, he asks her to be his fake girlfriend. When she agrees, they start to come up with a plan to make it look like they are together. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, attraction ignites. Join Logan and Savannah as they maneuver the fake dating. Will they continue with the fake dating or let it develop into a serious relationship? This was a sweet and steamy story of Instalove. Highly recommend. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Well I absolutely loved. Love all these characters and each storyline so much. Lieutenant Logan Price, Firefighter, was the ultimate bachelor in Whitetail Falls. All the single ladies in town wanted him except for his ex fiancé Chloe. He saw her on the street as he was heading to get coffees. Once he got inside he spotted Savannah who bakes, etc. at the Enchanted Bean. He asked her to help him out with his Chloe issue by being his fake date. He decided he needed to walk around with her while showing they were an item. Word spread quickly and… 😊😊😊😊😊💜💜💜💜💜🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Logan sees his ex and finds out she is engaged. He ends up at the bakery and tells Savannah all this. He decides to ask Savannah to be his fake girlfriend and walk around town with him.
Savannah agrees but she really likes Logan and the pretending is feeling real to her. She even opens up to Logan about her life and he does the same.
Will Logan realize that Savannah is the one for him and there is nothing fake about this?.

Logan never knew what he was going to end up getting when he walked into the coffee shop asking Savannah to pretend to be his gf. The way these two came together over just pretending to be together and as they spend that time together it starts being something much more. I loved everything about this story how these two slowly grow into something so much more than they thought it would be. These two were so made for one another. The chemistry was off the charts. This is a must read!!!

Savannah owns a bakery, and Logan is a Lieutenant at the Whitetail Falls fire station. I love how the author brought them together and how their fake relationship turned real. This is a quick read, but it isn't missing a thing. From the sweet and steamy story to them getting their happily ever after, I loved every twist along their journey of love. The Handsome Firefighter is book six in the Whitetail Falls: Fire Station series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
His ex is heading for him waving her ringed hand. In panic he ducks into the store and asks the baker to pretend to be his girlfriend. From the first practice kiss it’s not pretend anymore. The firehouse crew is brave, loyal and funny. The townsfolk totally invested and the love developing is heartwarming. Great ending!
Turn the fan on because Logan is a HOT and SEXY firefighter and Savannah is one lucky woman who gets to play a fake girlfriend. I found this romance book to be a SPICY page turner that I LOVED reading from cover to the HEA ending.

Glad he finally faced the fact that he didn’t want a fake relationship that he wanted the real thing. The relationship did go pretty fast, but in the end they were made for each other.
The handsome fighter was Logan and Savannah’s story. It was a great slow burn. Love the characters. I received an early copy. And voluntarily leaving this review.
