Threads of Silver

Rate this book
The Moon Goddess weaves all destinies, but even she cannot control what the heart chooses.

Raised within the royal palace of Solrith, Lyra has always known her an orphan among nobles, a quiet shadow beside Prince Lucan, the man she can never have. When her blood touches the sacred Moonstone during the fate-testing ceremony, a pillar of silver light splits the sky, and everything changes.

The mark that appears on her skin is no accident. It was written by the Goddess herself, a design set in motion long before Lyra’s first breath. Her awakening power stirs an ancient bloodline and a prophecy the kingdoms swore to bury. Caught between a love she has always known and a pull she cannot explain, Lyra must decide where her heart and her loyalty truly belong before destiny claims them all.

Because the Goddess never weaves without purpose, and some threads were meant to burn.

Perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas, Carissa Broadbent, and Danielle L. Jensen, Threads of Silver is a slow-burn wolf shifter romantasy filled with forbidden love, ancient magic, and a heroine powerful enough to challenge the will of the divine.

Threads of Silver was a pleasant, easy romantasy read for me, and I think it’s a book that will really work for the right reader.

Lyra was an enjoyable main character to follow, and I liked stepping into a world shaped by prophecy, ancient magic, and the influence of the Moon Goddess. The world building is solid and it’s a really interesting world full of different wolf shifting packs. The story moves along at a steady pace and kept me engaged, making it an easy book to sink into.

This is also a very spicy romantasy, and readers who enjoy explicit romance and bold chemistry will definitely want to take note of that. The book doesn’t shy away from heat, and I can absolutely see this being a big draw for many readers.

Overall, this was an enjoyable read, even if it didn’t end up being a personal favorite. If you love romantasy with high spice, wolf shifters, mystical elements, and a fated feel, this is one I think is very worth checking out.

This book was unputdownable. I loved the short chapters and fast pace. The FMC was fierce and I loved seeing her grow into a bad ass. The overall plot had me completely enthralled that I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. And the ending left me needing book two now!

I want to start with, this book has a trope that I do NOT read, but is still a 5 star banger, all day!!
Nora's writing is beautiful, emotional, gripping, powerful, empowering, well thought out, perfectly executed...just all of the positive attributes a writer can have. Mostly, she has TALENT.
You feel the emotions of the MC's and have such a great time getting to know them and learning about the politics (which are easy to follow). There is the perfect amount of action and sweet moments. I'm very glad I read it. I won't be going further because of that trope, but I will definitely be recommending, and keeping my eyes out for Nora's future books!!
Thank you, so much, Nora for my gifted copy!!!

Threads of Silver is about a misunderstood wolf shifter FMC who grows up feeling like a weak outcast in the pack. She is smaller and different from the others yet feels like she was always meant for something more. She catches the heart of the prince in line to rule the pack yet his father disproves. Hoping to match the prince's markings for his fated mate, the FMC ends up realizing she truly is not like the others and find herself with a choice to make among other secrets. The read is fast paced, slow burn and spicy!

Wow...talk about a book that keeps you guessing. I could not turn the pages quick enough. The FMC Lyra has always been considered less than the other wolves in her kingdom. She doesn't know why, but maybe her questions will be answered. I absolutely enjoyed this story and cant wait for book 2.

Did someone say TWO alphas fighting fate?!

If you're looking for:

🐺 Wolf shifters
🌙 Fated mates
🔮 Prophecy / ancient magic
🖤 Omega FMC
👑 Prince MMC
😈 Alpha energy
👀 Love triangle / why choose
🌶️🌶️🌶️ 🌶️Spice

You're in the right place!

Threads of Silver (Book one in The Silver Storm Series by Nora Vale) is a wolf shifter romantasy with tons of spice🌶️

Lyra is an omega orphan who has never been able to shift before. Teased for looking completely different than anyone in her kingdom, she is only close with two people: Mirium her supportive adoptive sister and Lucan the prince of Solrith… aka the boy she's completely head over hills for.

Now that Lyra is 21, she is faced with the moonstone ceremony, a ceremony that reveals your fated mate. When it is her turn, something strange, ancient, and powerful foretold in prophecy happens that throws the kingdom into a frenzy.

Lyras destiny is on the horizon and she is torn with choosing between TWO Alphas.

Lyra’s character growth is chef’s kiss🔥

Lucan brings that sweet, loyal, golden-retriever energy and I love him!

BUT Coal 🥵 has that hot dominant alpha mentality that makes you feral!

The multi-POV is well written and the story progression is easy to follow. I also loved that the chapters were not a million pages long and the ending was done in a way that leaves you wondering what will happen next!

I can't wait for book 2!

Thank you Nora Vale for my ARC, Threads of Silver is in my top 10 books for the year, I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Fated mates, ancient prophecy, wolf shifters, what’s not to love? I was hooked from page one! Lyra a Lunebryn wolf, touched by the moon goddess, powerful enough to unravel kingdoms, twin brands of fate, Coals sun to Lucans moon. When Lyra mates both Lucan and Coal make sure you have a towel under you🥵🥵🥵 Very excited to continue this series!

“Love is the sharpest weapon I have ever forged”

The low shall rise to meet the heir,
And with their bond, kingdoms beware.
The moons bright blessing turns to bane,
As silver threads unwind the chain.
Blood of white shall light the sky.
A mark unbidden, twice denied.
From broken thrones the shadows spread,
Until the weaver cuts the thread

I absolutely LOVE rooting for an underdog and that is exactly what this Romantasy read provided. The FMC was an outcast/"omega"/orphan thought to have no powers and this story shows her journey into discovering herself. The short chapters makes it a quick and easy read and very engaging from the start. It is a dual POV which normally I am on the fence about but with the short chapter sizes it makes it very easy to follow and gives a great perspective from all sides of the story as it unfolds. The ending (in true romantasy fashion) ends with an edge of your seat cliff hanger that makes you begging for more. I can't wait to see what's next for their story and am REALLY hoping for a novella to elaborate on the before story of Lyra and Lycan 😍🤞 Definitely worth the read!

This book was enticing from the beginning. In fact, I read it in 24 hrs. I couldn’t put it down. The plot was fast paced and kept me intrigued. The characters were likable. I found myself rooting for each of their personal character growths. I was so torn between Coal and Lucan. All I will say to not spoil it is I love her decision! I loved Lyra’s character growth and how she gained self confidence. I enjoyed the character and plot development thru the dual POV. The ending left me wanting more now. I need book 2 immediately. This book is perfect for anyone who enjoys slow burn romance, fated mates, wolf shifters and dark magic.

Threads of Silver (Book One in The Silver Storm Series) is a captivating wolf-shifter romantasy that completely pulled me in—I finished it in one sitting.

The story follows Lyra, an orphan raised among nobles, who has always loved the prince from the shadows. But a long-buried prophecy—one the king has desperately tried to prevent—begins to unravel. No matter how tightly he clings to control, Lyra’s true identity cannot stay hidden. It was written by the Goddess herself.

Packed with action, shocking revelations, and a tension-filled romance, this story builds to a deliciously brutal cliffhanger that will leave you desperate for Book Two.

Just finished Threads Of Silver by Nora Vale and I’m still thinking about it 😫😫. This is such an easy, addictive romantasy read. Wolf shifters, fated mates, prophecy, and TWO alphas 😳 like, how do you even choose?? You've got the sweet, loyal prince energy and then the intense, broody alpha who just changes everything 👀 (team coal btw🤭) I loved watching Lyra grow into herself and realize she's way more than everyone thought. The short chapters and dual POV made it so easy to fly through, and honestly, the ending has me needing book two right now!! If you love slow burn romance, alpha tension, and a strong FMC stepping into her power 😍😍 you NEED this on your TBR RIGHT NOW!!

*Disappointing Ending*

4.5 Star

Spoiler alert

I truly wanted to love Threads of Silver. Unfortunately there were 2 things that kept me from that:

1-It truly is a slow burn. I like to read very spicy Romantasy. I felt there was very little scenes like that except during the last chapters.

2-I am not into multiple partners like MFM. Although I like spice and even BDSM, I am not into multiple partnerships. I like the relationships vanilla, just male/female. Simply my preference when reading.
3-I was unaware it was part of The Silver Storm Series. I thought it was stand aline, which proved disappointing at the end.

However, overall it’s a great fantasy novel. I loved the female character Lyra and one of the MCs, Coal. If you’re into fantasy fiction, intriguing plot and a little spice, you would love this book. Since it’s a series, I am hoping that the other books will end up having much more spicy scenes and that Nora decides to give Lyra just one true mate.

This was an ARC copy gifted to me by the author. Thank you Nora for putting your trust in me.
