Threads of Silver was a pleasant, easy romantasy read for me, and I think it’s a book that will really work for the right reader.

Lyra was an enjoyable main character to follow, and I liked stepping into a world shaped by prophecy, ancient magic, and the influence of the Moon Goddess. The world building is solid and it’s a really interesting world full of different wolf shifting packs. The story moves along at a steady pace and kept me engaged, making it an easy book to sink into.

This is also a very spicy romantasy, and readers who enjoy explicit romance and bold chemistry will definitely want to take note of that. The book doesn’t shy away from heat, and I can absolutely see this being a big draw for many readers.

Overall, this was an enjoyable read, even if it didn’t end up being a personal favorite. If you love romantasy with high spice, wolf shifters, mystical elements, and a fated feel, this is one I think is very worth checking out.

This book was unputdownable. I loved the short chapters and fast pace. The FMC was fierce and I loved seeing her grow into a bad ass. The overall plot had me completely enthralled that I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. And the ending left me needing book two now!

I want to start with, this book has a trope that I do NOT read, but is still a 5 star banger, all day!!
Nora's writing is beautiful, emotional, gripping, powerful, empowering, well thought out, perfectly executed...just all of the positive attributes a writer can have. Mostly, she has TALENT.
You feel the emotions of the MC's and have such a great time getting to know them and learning about the politics (which are easy to follow). There is the perfect amount of action and sweet moments. I'm very glad I read it. I won't be going further because of that trope, but I will definitely be recommending, and keeping my eyes out for Nora's future books!!

The multi-POV is well written and the story progression is easy to follow. I also loved that the chapters were not a million pages long and the ending was done in a way that leaves you wondering what will happen next!

Give Me the Alphas, the Rebellion & ALL the Shifter Drama!

Okay, THIS is why I keep coming back to shifter romances. Give me complicated pack politics, a strong Luna finding her voice, alpha males with completely different personalities, family loyalty, rebellion, a little danger, and enough steam to make me say, “Well... go ahead then!” 😂

I really enjoyed this read!

One of my favorite parts of the story was Lyra’s growth. She has every reason to fall into a victim mentality after everything happening around her, but instead, we get to watch her begin taking back her power. She starts recognizing that she has choices, that her voice matters, and that she doesn’t have to simply accept the life other people have decided she should have. THAT is the kind of character development I love. I don't need my heroines to start off fearless. Give me a woman who discovers her strength along the way.

And then we have Lucan.

Sir. Rebellious Prince. I see you. 👀

I loved watching him stand firm in what he believes, even when doing so means challenging basically everything he was raised to believe and everything expected of him. There is something incredibly satisfying about a character realizing, “Yeah... my family has been doing this forever, but perhaps my family is WRONG.” 😂 Lucan isn't rebellious just for the sake of being difficult. His choices actually mean something, and I loved how his journey toward choosing for himself mirrors Lyra's journey toward doing the same.

And then...

COAL.

Coal, Coal, Coal.

What am I supposed to do with you already?! 😂

Because apparently one alpha wasn't enough to keep my attention occupied. Here comes Coal with that whole bad-boy Alpha King who can still be a fair ruler energy, and unfortunately for me, that is exactly the type of fictional nonsense that gets me every single time.

What I really appreciate, though, is that Lucan and Coal don't feel like carbon copies of each other. Their personalities, leadership styles, motivations, and relationships with Lyra are different. Yet somehow, the differences between all three characters create a balance that works. I am VERY interested in seeing how those dynamics develop because there is already enough tension brewing to keep me seated.

And yes, let's discuss King Roderick for approximately five seconds.

That man is an ASSHAT.

There. Discussion complete. 😂

Whatever consequences are headed his way, I will be sitting comfortably with my snacks waiting for delivery.

Another element I wasn't expecting to enjoy quite as much as I did was the underlying storyline involving Lyra's family. Their willingness to choose her, knowing there could be serious consequences if Roderick discovered their involvement, added another emotional layer to the story. Loyalty means something different when choosing someone could cost you everything.

Then those final chapters hit and suddenly I went from casually enjoying myself to:

YES, NORA!!!

I won't spoil it, but the ending definitely turned up the energy and gave me that delicious “Ohhhh, so THIS is where we're going?!” feeling that makes you immediately start thinking about the next book.

And of course, we cannot forget the Alpha/Luna steaminess.

Overall, this was a thoroughly enjoyable start to a shifter story that has plenty of room to grow. I loved the character dynamics, the themes of choice and empowerment, the family loyalty, the pack politics, and the fact that our main characters aren't simply accepting the roles other people assigned them.

Lyra is finding her power.
Lucan is questioning tradition.
Coal already has me suspiciously interested.
Roderick can kick rocks.

And apparently I'm coming back for Book Two. 😂

If you're a fan of shifter romance, Alpha/Luna dynamics, rebellious royals, complicated pack politics, family loyalty, strong female character growth, and some spicy paranormal romance, I'd definitely recommend adding this one to your TBR.

This book was so much better than I honestly Expected. I usually really dislike triangle romance tropes (especially with fated mates), however this one was extremely intriguing. I really dislike Lyra though, her being so naive at things makes me want to shove her from a cliff, but the character development is sound for the style of the book is. However, Coal and Lucen’s POVs are juicy, and I desperately want to know more about what Rodrick did, why he was so afraid of Lyra so much.

The way the story is of Lucen being an Heir to a kingdom, and Coal being a King of the other; is quite interesting. There seemed to be more history between Coal and Rodrick that I would’ve loved the author to touch on, but I’m hoping more in revealed in more writing. Also, where is her friend? I would’ve loved to know more about that kingdom as well.

Now for the spoilers so people can understand this review.
Lyra is a special breed of shifter wolf, that was bound and unable to shift while living under King Rodricks rule, once she was essentially kidnapped and given freedom her wolf emerged, and King Coal had to teach her the ways of a wolf.
All while a mated bond was hidden as this was the main premise of the book. A special bonding ceremony led to her having two bonds. One to in the sun which is one kingdom, and moon which is another kingdom.
After she is kidnapped it is revealed that her friend Lucen had been her bond all along, but she had a second one in Coal.
After she starts shifting and getting her freedom she realizes she actually needs both of them to bond her.
Previous lore says that this indecision will be the downfall of a kingdom, and that she has to choose on of the other. She chooses to do both. They finish the full mating spree, and it allows them to both claim here, in which they do.
After this a war is started and the book ends on a major cliff hanger.


Now for my thoughts on this.
First of; Where is the kingdom her friend is mated too? What is that kingdom about and does it continue to matter? I dont’ know but I wanted more detail on this.
The sex scenes are at the very end of the book, so if you’re looking for a mega spicy book, don’t expect much. Nudity, general talks of mating rituals and knots are located throughout, but the actual mating rituals are not crazy spice. I’d say it’s a 2 on spice level.
Rodrick has some serious hatred about a prophecy, why is this important for the story? I wish would’ve revealed more. Like some detail about how prophecies are super matter could’ve helped me believe the prophecy is real, and understand why his hated so bad. (But I guess that’s detail that could be in book two).
I love coal, but it’s clear they had to have interacted with Rodrick at some point.. So more backstory could’ve been had to be able to get me to believe he’s an alpha king. Like where did he come from?
Over all I loved this book, and even though I have questions and desires I ultimately would recommend this book to people.

I absolutely LOVE rooting for an underdog and that is exactly what this Romantasy read provided. The FMC was an outcast/"omega"/orphan thought to have no powers and this story shows her journey into discovering herself. The short chapters makes it a quick and easy read and very engaging from the start. It is a dual POV which normally I am on the fence about but with the short chapter sizes it makes it very easy to follow and gives a great perspective from all sides of the story as it unfolds. The ending (in true romantasy fashion) ends with an edge of your seat cliff hanger that makes you begging for more. I can't wait to see what's next for their story and am REALLY hoping for a novella to elaborate on the before story of Lyra and Lycan 😍🤞 Definitely worth the read!

This book was enticing from the beginning. In fact, I read it in 24 hrs. I couldn’t put it down. The plot was fast paced and kept me intrigued. The characters were likable. I found myself rooting for each of their personal character growths. I was so torn between Coal and Lucan. All I will say to not spoil it is I love her decision! I loved Lyra’s character growth and how she gained self confidence. I enjoyed the character and plot development thru the dual POV. The ending left me wanting more now. I need book 2 immediately. This book is perfect for anyone who enjoys slow burn romance, fated mates, wolf shifters and dark magic.

I love wolf shifter stories, but I was a little skeptical at the beginning of this one. The FMC comes off as a bit too timid, and I don't usually like that....but the setup for her growth and self-discovery is incredible!! Loved everything about this book!! Highly recommend!!
