The Bonheur Connection (Book 27)

Rate this book
A rediscovered masterpiece. A lethal legacy. A manipulated blockchain.

At the exclusive opening of an art exhibition, Doctor Genevieve Lenard notices something amiss with a masterpiece hailed as the rediscovery of the decade. Her life partner and the team’s art expert, Colin, confirms her suspicion, yet the documentation is flawless. Caught between indisputable proof of authenticity and her own piercing perception, Genevieve faces a cognitive dissonance that is more than just a puzzle to her neurodivergent mind—it is a source of profound distress.

What initially appears to be a simple case of confirming provenance quickly morphs into a high-tech nightmare. Navigating the uber-rich of Europe and digital subterfuge, Genevieve and her team walk a razor-thin line between truth and trust as they face an adversary who wields technology like a weapon, manipulating markets and evidence from the shadows.

With the line between authentic and fake blurring by the second, Genevieve must stop a hacker who threatens to shatter wealth across the globe and plunge the world economy into chaos—before the truth becomes impossible to prove.

“The more we learn about... everyone involved in this intricate plan, the more it looks like he wants to use forgeries to destroy those who destroyed him because of a forgery.”

Genevieve Leonard and her group are again involved in a crime that might cause financial ruin on a grand scale. And this time it's something Dr. Leonard notices that starts the whole investigation.

A cache of "newly discovered paintings" some of which Phillip Roussous' company insures turn out to not be what they are believed to be. And the forger also has mega skills with computers so others are called in to support the investigation.

I read this in one day it was that compelling. Every time I read one of Estelle Ryan 's books I learn something - not only about an artist but like this time about high level computer programming. This is a great addition to a fantastic series. Highly Recommended 5/5

Another utterly brilliant episode

Genevieve and her "family" become embroiled in a major criminal conspiracy, almost by accident, that could lead to devastating damage to the whole world's economy.

With all the usual charm, wit and humour Estelle is known for, this is another wonderful visit with these much loved characters 😎

I absolutely loved The Bonheur Connection! After following Genevieve Lenard through so many adventures, it’s terrific to see this book bring back the intricate detail and layered storytelling that made the earlier novels so captivating. The balance between character development, art, and mystery is richer and more immersive than in the last few books. Estelle Ryan continues to deliver a clever, heartfelt story that reminds me why I fell in love with this series in the first place. I couldn’t put it down and can’t wait for the next one!

I'm already at chapter 10 and giving up

So far, I am so bored that I'm not sure I'm going to finish the book. I've given her past books sterling reviews, however I cannot say the same for this one. I feel that is tedious and not worth my time or energy. Maybe she was tired when she wrote it or maybe I just don't get it but I am totally bored.

the Bonheur Connection

As always Estelle Ryan pulls me in and doesn’t want to let me go on about my day, or night. Sleep can be so overrated when Genevieve is out and about. Love Genevieve and her quirky family. They are varied in talents and united by love and respect for each other. Together they make up a big boisterous family. Bad guys beware.
