A life has been taken.

I’ll take a life in return.

My rushed mating with Roarke was already fraught with tension, and the secrets he kept have put us all in danger, but I can’t deny any longer that there’s more than duty as Alphas between us.

They want to take our pack from us. They want to tear us apart. Roarke and I must find a way to stand together as Alpha Pair and face down the enemies who may be closer than we think.

I’ve embraced my fate but there will be those who wished I hadn’t.

I am a huge fan of following a couple through their journey together. I adore epilogues and having the opportunity to pick back up with Cathwulf and Roarke made me giddy.

Unfortunately this isn't a fluffy, fun HEA extension. There is drama, danger, and intrigue. Oh and a weeeeeeee bit of jealousy flares between Cathwulf and Roarke as a... slightly unstable member of the pack wedges between them.

This book is like an onion people, Ms. Stewart has created a million twists and turns with secrets that are peeled back layer by layer... and possibly evoking a few tears along the way. The suspense in Way of the Wolf: Retribution as Cathwulf seeks to bring justice to the one responsible for her father's death with grip you by the throat and refuse to let go.

Just as with Way of the Wolf: Ascension, the chemistry between Cathwulf and Roarke is delicious and damn near palpable.

I was definitely left with a few questions in the end and highly suspect that this isn't the last book for Cathwulf and Roarke.

If you are a fan of paranormal romance, check out Way of the Wolf: Retribution today, but keep in mind this is book two and you need to follow Cathwulf and Roarke from the beginning so start with Way of the Wolf: Ascension.

Great read

Another great read following the first book. Great storyline and well defined characters. Would recommend this author even though she is new to me. Looking forward to her other work/books

Retribution is a great follow-up for Cathwulf and Roarke. As our fated pair gets closer and starts to become the alpha couple they're meant to be, the danger ramps up. The story is full of action and betrayal, and as the title suggests, even a bit of Retribution. I wasn't quite sure about the connection between Cathwulf and a certain troubled member of the pack. Other than adding some jealousy between the couple, it just felt a little unnecessary. That aside, I enjoyed the story and its rich characters. I love the family dynamic of the pack, and Cathwulf and Roarke have great chemistry once she gets out of her own way. There are a couple of dangling carrots in the end that I'm hoping to learn more about. I don't know what's planned for this series, but I've fallen for this intriguing world the author has created, and I'm really hoping for more of it.

Couldn't wait for this second instalment in the series to come out and I wasn't disappointed! A fantastic read and brilliant end to the Cath and Roarke saga. The author kept me enthralled from beginning to end with massive plot twists and turns. Hints at the next book have left me excited to read more from this fantastic author. A must read!

Glad I stuck with it.

Book 2 was MUCH better than book 1! Glad I stuck with it. I’m assuming there will be a book 3 since there’s still a few unsolved mysteries/storylines? Hope it is good too.

Re-edit.. my spoiler tags are not working so removed spoiler from review.. also author update book 3 will be out this year!!!

Way better than the first book but FYI I’m assuming there will be another book my guess it will focus on Quillan and Oria, but there are still loose ends regarding Cat and Roarke.

This book starts off right where the last one left off. The good news, Cat finally realized she can be both a strong heroine leading R’s pack AND a mate at the same time... hooray! So she’s not as annoying and immature this time around. She expresses many regrets of how she’s acted denying her wolf self, and I’m so glad she realized that the alpha female role is exactly where she should be. The couple does the deed finally and with their more grown up outlooks... the book takes a more grown up feel.
I usually side with R most of the time because he’s usually more mature, but I felt for C several times with regards to R handling Brenna...I felt that is where her fight should have been and not some of the petty things.

This book sets things up for Quill and Oria, hopefully we’ll see more of Cat and Rourke also.

Way of the Wolf: Retribution.
The 2nd book in the series is a good read that gets into uncovering the
Causes behind the deaths of the protagonists parent/s.
Will they succeed in bringing justice and letting the world know of a mega plan is the next journey that we witness here. It's written well by the author, leading one event to the other and playing with the words to let the readers be drawn to it.
Definitely waiting for the next story in like I.e., Quillan and Oria's, whose story is nurturing into a great one already.

This second book in the series was much more character driven. It was still enjoyable but was a slower read. I thought some of the fight scenes were a bit over done and even with a good adrenaline rush went beyond belief. Our two main characters are growing into their new roles and each other. Some aspects of Wulver culture did tend to make me roll my eyes a bit. Several secondary characters were seen more and that was fun.

It was a 3-1/2*. A little slow in parts and some things were shadows of book 1.

Compared to the first book that held so much promise for a mind blowing series I felt really let down by the start of this book. It was overly emotional, dramatic, and ploddy.
Cathwolf seems to have done a full 180 on her feelings for Roarke and suddenly no longer questions anything. She’s needy and soppy and I found it all a massive drag. The book does pick up half way through and gets really intense and interesting but there is still moments of blah. It’s all personal opinion since I loathe mush 🤷‍♀️ if you like emotions then you’ll prob love this sequel
