Innkeeper's Second Chance

Rate this book
He’s the grumpy CEO who came to buy my small-town inn… and ended up falling for the sunshine who refused to sell.

The Sea Glass Inn is my family’s legacy—my last chance at a fresh start.
Then Elias Price shows up with a contract, a cold stare, and zero patience.
We clash instantly… and sparks fly just as fast.

When a coastal storm traps us together in one room, one bed, no power, everything between us shifts.
The grumpy CEO becomes protective. Intense. Impossible to ignore.
And the chemistry? Off-the-charts, toe-curling, can’t-look-away electric.

He’s the man I should stay away from.
I’m the woman he was never supposed to want.

But as tension turns into something deeper and secrets rise to the surface, I have to
protect the inn that means everything to me…
or take a second chance on the man who could steal my heart with a single kiss.

A grumpy/sunshine, enemies-to-lovers, forced-proximity, one-bed, small-town romance filled with heart, heat, and a swoon-worthy slow burn.

Innkeeper's Second Chance is a Grumpy/Sunshine, Opposites-Attract, Forced Proximity, Healing & Redemption Arc, CEO romance that blends slow-burn passion, emotional depth, and soul-healing heat.

Perfect for readers who crave steam with heart, small-town charm, and second chances that feel earned.

I would like to thank Riley Remos for a digital copy of this book for my honest review.

3,5 ⭐ - a small town inn romance? Sign me up! We follow Harper, the owner of a struggling small inn - every little thing that needs fixing in the inn? Harper does it all.

Now add a grumpy CEO in the mix, Elias. He needs to convince Harper to sign a contract for his company. What he didn't expect to happen is to fall for the charming inn owner.

This is a cute fast paced romance novel, sometimes too fast for my liking, almost rushed. The main characters annoyed me a few times with their decisions throughout the book.

I did an ARC read of this small-town, grumpy-CEO romance—some of my favorite tropes—but the story felt like too many details were squeezed into a very short book. The plot wasn’t bad and the MMC definitely brought the grumpiness, but the chemistry leaned toward insta-love, especially on his side. The FMC struggled with everything in and around the inn but she had some grit to her and never quit. The MMC really redeemed himself when he was caught in a omission of truth...
Would I read it again? Unfortunately, no. It wasn’t one of my favorites, and I don’t enjoy feeling like I’m struggling through a book.
That said, the MMC’s character development was well written, the chemistry was palpable when it hit, and I appreciated that the story stayed focused on the two main characters.

I inhaled this book in one day and I was not disappointed. Elias went to the inn in regards of buying it and turning a profit. What he didn't bank on was falling in love with Harper the owner of the inn. Their chemistry had me turning pages just to see what was next. I had no idea what to expect but that ending took the cake. This was my first book from Riley and it won't be the last.
