Zhu Zhixi has lived a life of excitement and wonder for 26 years, from Africa to Antarctica, from backpacker to volunteer, always on the move.
But one day he woke up to find a life countdown in his palm- 60 days 0 hours 0 minutes 0 secnds]
I can only live for sixty days???
A few days later, he was forced to go on a blind date. His match was a boring archaeology professor, a beautiful but expressionless Alpha, colder than a snowman.
Zhu Zhixi "I'm a beta, marrying me is equivalent to sterilization."
Not just sterilization, I'm practically a half-buried corpse at this point, anyone would be a good match, just pack me up and send me to the widower's camp with a widow mark. And who wants to marry an alpha anyway?
Their pheromones are all over the place, and during the susceptible period, they can't even control their lower halves...
Wait, why did the countdown stop?
Zhu Zhixi "Wait a minute, sterilization actually has its advantages.."
He grabbed the snowman's hand tightly, and the countdown stopped again-
The reason this is such a good series is due to Zhu Zhixi and Fu Rangyi’s abundance of healthy communication. Even though their beginning is slightly rocky, they always express their intentions and never leave the other in the dark (except a couple times— and with the best of intentions). The looming tragedy of Zhu Zhixi’s death countdown keeps the plot interesting enough to keep going, and the couple moments as the main characters progress from a fake marriage of convenience to a real romance with trust and support adds the sweetness necessary to not be completely devastating.
“No, that wasn’t enough. He even wanted to be a failing in Fu Rangyi’s meritocratic life, a drop of coffee on his pristine white coat, a misplaced image in his thesis, an uncorrectable modeling error, a shard of porcelain he personally unearthed but could never be restored into any ancient artifact. He wanted to be an existence that would make Fu Rangyi frown slightly when he thought of him, an unforgettable presence.” -Zhu Zhixi’s inner monologue
"it wasn't the refrigerator that kept the snowman alive after all, it was fu rangyi's love"
there's always something about fake marriage tropes and axb pairing that just hits different! at first I thought it's gonna be a cliche story about a beta who would manifest as an omega after being tgt with an alpha but boy was I wrong. it's heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time, both emotions caused by the romantic aspect and the supernatural aspect of the story.
definitely one of a kind! you're getting a 4.5 stars from me

Aún si me tomó 12 días leerlo, jajaja.
