I just finished The Unmaking Tide and I’m still sitting here a little breathless. I couldn’t put this book down! My sons said this is their favorite book of all time.
What struck us most was the emotional depth of the characters. They felt layered and real in a way that made us care about them immediately. Their vulnerabilities, their stubbornness, their quiet moments of courage- every bit of it felt honest. By the time we reached the middle of the book, we were dreading the ending, not because we expected to be disappointed, but because we didn’t want to let these people go.
What we appreciated most was something quieter: the way the book reflects on the cost of change- how we grow, what we lose, and what we salvage from the wreckage. It reminded us that unmaking isn’t always destruction; sometimes it’s clearing space for something truer.
If you’re looking for a story that balances the tension, heartbreak and hope, this is absolutely worth reading!
