I read this book 20 years ago, just after my parents passed away. This book changed my life, changed the way I see the world.

I picked up this book because I read Dr Moody's "Life After Life." The premise of Dr Wambach's study is interesting and works well as a supplement to Dr Moody's studies. However, as I read through the book, I found that while her method (hypnosis) is efficient, her analysis is all over the place. The book was very painful to read, with too many "excerpts" from subjects that go and on and on. The author leaves little to no analysis, and when she does, it's so insubstantial and often besides the point of the topic. For example, she categorizes one finding, but then the examples she provides are too repetitive and sometimes not even fitting to the category. There is also a chapter titled "Adopted Children, Premature Births, Caesareans" but around 75% of the chapter is about twin births, cloning, and two to three whole paragraphs about COWS. This is a really badly written study. The only reason I gave it two stars is because I did find some of the accounts of the subjects rather fascinating. I managed to read about 80% of the book before calling it quits. I stopped when she won't stop talking about cows, for heaven's sake.

She did groups unlike most dr. that did ind. sessions. But all the info is still the same, 4,000 cases - Michael Newton did 7,000 They all say the same thing.

This book, honestly, in some ways was a total downer. I was surprised at how many people said they didn't want to be born or that their mothers were unhappy learning they were pregnant. But it was still more interesting evidence for reincarnation.

I had started this book on a positive note and it soon became clear that it was going to be another book full of repetition. The case studies of 750 people were documented for the writing of this book while they were under hypnosis, and spoke of the same things while in deep sleep. After about fifty pages or so, I tossed this book aside and vowed to start something better. Something of which would play a movie in my mind and be more interesting than this. I will not be keeping this book.
