Arc Review

All the things I wish you'd do is and masterfully written tale of girlhood, friendship, love, daddy issues, overwhelming emotions, relationships, and the way it feels to be a teenage girl. Yet again, Sab has absolutely blown me away with a masterpiece of a book. Her characters and relationships are so perfectly created that you feel like you know them personally. Molly Pearson is a 13 year old girl, and yet even at 16, I see myself in her more than I'd like to admit. I, too, have cried in a bookstore over being jealous of a 9 year old and her dad. I, too, feel every emotion overwhelmingly so. That's also the tell if a perfect character one were anybody can see parts of themselves in the character. No matter how different they are. That's an art Sab has absolutely mastered in each and every one of her characters and stories. Another highlight of the book for me was the relationships. Obviously, Molly and Logans' relationship was one of my favorite parts of the book. I had a wonderful time seeing them navigate falling more in love and the effects of both their personal struggles on their relationship. Molly's relationship within the student council, Logans' friends, and her family. We're so beautifully created. I wish I had half of the talent Sab does. My favourite relationships in the book, though, were the ones between Molly and her mom, an excellent portrayal of what's it like to navigate your parents' strained feelings towards eachother well managing your own feelings about the situation. Natalies and her friendship were also one of my favourites. After all, haven't all of us found a best friend in a girl we once that was mean. As well as Molly's relationship with Zack, they both just want the absolute best for Logan, and I love the underrated anxious little sister and calming older brother dynamic they have. Most of all, though, it was the relationship between Molly and herself that made the story truly shine. She struggled with navigating first love, a strained relationship with her father, moving, her identity as a filipino, feeling like she didn't quite belong among Logans' friends, and most of all how overwhelming everything feels at 13. The characters, setting, relationships, emotions, plot, relatablilty as well as Sabs touch of making you cry within the first 50 pages are what made this book one of my favourites. I'd recommend this book to literally everyone ever, especially the 13 year old crying to Taylor Swift and drinking her Matcha.

I enjoyed diving back into this series! Seeing these characters again was so fun, and the writing is super easy for me to read. I just fly through it! I loved seeing inside Molly's head and diving into her internal conflicts. Much like the first book allowed me to gain perspective into an unknown experience for me through Logan's OCD, I was very interested in seeing Molly navigate her parent's divorce. I also loved seeing Molly's relationships with all the characters develop, and enjoyed the new characters introduced int this book as well!

I will warn though, this book contains a lot of discussion about sexual topics. Those it is very surface level, it is quite frequent and leads to many moments leading to second hand embarrassment. This was what caused me to take off a star, but I was glad to see the detailed content guide on the author's instagram page.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and am looking forward to seeing the series continue!

All the things I wish you’d do is for the teenage girls struggling to understand themselves. It’s able to capture girl hood, of the struggles we face at a young age. Middle school is a time where we start to learn of the world and how confusing it can be. All the things I wish you’d do is a read that can reassure girls that they are not alone in the world and that the way they feel is not to be ashamed of.

Molly and Logan!! My two babies!!

I surprisingly resonated a lot with this book and made me think back about my younger self going through my parents divorce. I loved getting to know Molly more and her sense of confidence and her drive that sets her higher among all the others in her school. Seeing Logan again was very comforting because I relate to him a LOT as someone with ocd, and even in this book I found myself crying when he’d go through his struggles and Molly would help him.

The only thing I wish was changed or altered from this book was that it was fleshed out more- there were many scenes I wish was more expanded or further clarified on like Molly’s dad and the whole Heather situation.

Pure Gold. 6/5 stars if I could. I loved attiwyd more than attics, which isn't to say book 1 is bad, but book 2 just did it for me. Attiwyd handles themes like girlhood, friendships, first loves among others, and it's easy to feel 13 again when reading. I loved it, highly recommend

Overall this book was so adorable and Molly is so amazing, and super relatable. Sab is such an amazing writer and I can't wait for the rest of this series ( specifically 5) but I love this whole friend group and can't wait to get their books.

Molly my sweet child I love her so much. When I first heard about the Sab and the series she was writing I thought that Natalie would be my favorite but so far Molly has been favorite across both books. The relationship between Logan and Molly was so natural and quirky it just felt so real!
The dynamic between Molly and her friends is something very special and I simply cannot wait to read to coming books in the series!

such an incredible book as per usual from sab ay, and i think it’s very telling that a story of a 13 year old is relatable even at 21. The teenage experience is captured super well, including the mix of intense emotions experienced by then. It was very touching seeing the characters explore themselves and their relationships with others. We see Molly’s perspective shift on her relationships with her dad, her mom, and Logan in real time (at times i felt like I wanted to go in the story and help her myself LMAOOOO)— the plotline with her dad actually had me screaming at my kindle btw.

I will say, I saw reviews commenting on the amount of sex mentions but I have to disagree. Sex is a foreign but frequently mentioned concept for teenagers, and especially a stressful topic for Molly and Logan. The new terms are a lot to take in so I do see why it would repeat in Molly’s mind. I much prefer the discussion in this way rather than them doing it. After all, they’re 13 years old (a VERY fundamental age btw) and they have a lot to think about in terms of how they love and how they perceive themselves. It’s very difficult to pull off writing about it in a good way for teenage characters and sab ay excels at it.

Just like the first book, this one has me way more excited for the other books UGH I love this group so so so much <333 I would gladly buy this and listen to the audiobook at a future time.

i'm gonna start a rumor that sab ay is secretly two teenagers in a trench coat because HOW! can she always make me feel like i'm reading my exact thoughts on these pages?

i may not be thirteen anymore like when i read the first book, but this next installment is somehow so much more relatable than the next. ay crafts such natural character voices that carry and develop throughout both novels perfectly. molly and logan have both become such loveable & memorable characters to me (not to mention, they're unbearably cute now), & i can tell that they will make the same impressions on all the readers to come.

i don't usually read coming-of-age, but this feels like the perfect encapsulation of what the genre should be. ay is able to perfectly articulate the tribulations of a teenage girl in love, while simultaneously tackling, in such a reflective & natural way, parental separation. i can foresee, on the fateful and very overdue day that sab ay becomes famous, these books helping so many other kids my age, just in the ways they helped me.

ARC review

It was okay!! I loved seeing Molly's perspective on things as well as her growing relationship with Logan (they are so sweet together AAA). Also, Pip, Nat, and Cal were funny and cool as always. I really liked the Filipino culture sprinkled in throughout the story, and the very straightforward references to other media. Although not as relatable as AtTICS, I still really liked it and I think it will be relatable to the girls out there who are in situations similar to Molly's.

However, I do have to agree with one of the other reviewers that there was maybe a little too much talk about sex, and while I do fully understand that the characters are 13 years old and horny/figuring stuff out, maybe some things could have been toned down a bit I think. Also, some readers may not catch on to some of the pop culture references. There was also a fair amount of tiny typos (like missing commas or periods/misspellings) but Sab herself told me that it hasn't been edited yet, so I will keep that in mind.

I can't wait to read about the others' stories and struggles and messy lives--Sab truly does an amazing job at capturing the teenage experience! <3

The absolute PERFECT second book in the ‘All the Things’ series. I adore Molly Pearson with my entire heart. This book made me laugh and cry and was impossible to put down. Never have I read a more perfect look into the mind of a middle school girl.
