⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A beautifully written PNR slow burn I couldn’t put down or shut up about

‘Moon Torn Hearts’ hooked me way faster than I expected. It’s a true paranormal slow burn that’s rich atmosphere with tension simmering under the surface and characters who feel like they could walk off the page.
Remi is such a great and easily relatable character, with her anxious, sharp witt and trying so hard to find her footing in a place that feels both comforting and unsettling at the same time. Lucas is… well… Lucas! Brooding, intense, infuriating (in all the best ways) and hiding more under the surface than he lets anyone see. And little Phoebe? Awww.. she totally steals every scene she’s in, the kind of character you instantly want to protect. All the characters draw you into their histories and stories!
What really impressed me was how beautifully the author writes. The talent is amazing and there are little hints woven into the story that you only catch if you’re paying attention. (Hint hint)
Nothing feels wasted and every detail matters, which makes the world feel alive and mysterious.
It’s one of those books where you can adore certain characters while wanting to scream at others… sometimes at the same character in the same chapter. And that just shows how well they’re written.

The romance is definitely a slow burn, the kind that keeps you waiting, watching and picking up on every tiny shift between the characters.
And knowing there’s a second book coming? I’m absolutely ready for it.
If you love atmospheric paranormal romance with emotional depth, great character detail and tension you can chew on, this one is so worth reading.

I got this book as an arc !! But honestly I liked it! It was a bit different than what I usually read but it was pretty good. I liked how the author described the characters and really gets you into the book. I am a visual reader and I could picture the characters in my head. Overall 4.5 stars ❤️

In this slow-burn story, family secrets create a tense atmosphere as Remi, who has been kept unaware of key truths, begins to experience an awakening connection with Lucas. Despite their efforts to stay low and avoid the looming evil, the bond between them proves undeniable. Meanwhile, Melinda, driven by a thirst for power, seeks to dominate everyone around her, even if it means draining the strength of those close to her. The story unfolds as they navigate hidden truths, emerging relationships, and the threat posed by Melinda's ambition. The cliffhanger left me needing book 2 desperately needing to know what happens next..

Okay.. let me collect my thoughts after this one..
This book isn’t officially released yet and I already need book 2. I struggled to put this book down. 2am came around and I decided I should sleep. Immediately finished when I woke up. The story line? Amazing. The characters? Yes please. Perfect amount of anger for keeping her in the dark. Love for the plot. Worrisome for the characters..
if you love werewolves, I 10000% recommend this book… just make sure you clear your schedule before you begin

This book was beautiful inside and out. Very good character development, world building was amazing, and every step of the way I felt like I was right there with Remi, as she was doing everything she could to help. I feel that I resonate the most with Remi, and feel for her as she went through a lot. I am definitely invested and can't wait for book 2!

This book was so beautifully written, the characters were so relatable, they captured my heart almost instantly.

The story was so well thought out, the intrigue and mystery had me staying up reading on through the night eager to find out what happens next. The cliffhanger at the end has me dying for the next book. I can't wait to read about Remi and Lucas in the next one!

I just finished reading Moon Torn Hearts, and it was one of the best books I’ve ever read! It’s New Adult Contemporary Fantasy, but reads like the Young Adult Fantasy books I grew up with. It’s so good, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes fantasy!

Moon Torn Hearts had me hooked from page one. Remi is such a deeply relatable character — everything she goes through, every fear, every moment of anxiety — it all felt so real and so human. The way she was lied to basically her whole life had my emotions everywhere. Yet even when she doesn’t see her own strength, you can absolutely feel it growing with every chapter. Watching her journey unfold was honestly beautiful. 💛

Lucas is the perfect brooding, secretive male lead, and I loved how he and Remi were drawn toward each other, no matter how many people (including her mom…and Lucas himself 🙄) tried to keep them apart. Their pull is undeniable and so well written. ⚡️💙

And little Phoebe… my heart. 🥺 She is absolutely adorable, and when you get to that part of the book involving her mom, Melinda (also the villain of the story), you’re going to want to throw hands. I was furious and heartbroken with how little Phoebe and Lucas meant to their mom. 😡👊

I don’t want to give any spoilers, but this story blends paranormal elements, emotion, and character growth so beautifully. It’s absolutely a must-read, and I am already counting down the days until the next book. I cannot wait!!! 🙌📚💫

Huge thank you to C. Warner-Thompson for such a captivating, heartfelt story. 💖

Moon Torn Hearts by C. Warner Thompson

This is everything a paranormal romance book needs to be, whilst being enjoyable for a more mature audience(Book one could be YA with a hint of New Adult moving forward). There's mystery, friendship, family and angst.

I've been lucky to read a few books by this author but stepping out of their comfort zone they have absolutely smashed it. It's giving twilight era realness, with a hint of the unexpected.

We follow Remi, struggling with panic attacks and anxiety from a traumatic experience can she settle into her new life. A well rounded character full of sass and kindness my favorite kind of FMC.

Lucas on the other hand.....Well let just say we should all know my type of fictional men by now and he is absolutely one of them

Big shout out to C.Warner Thompson for letting me be a ARC reader again.

Received this as an ARC.
I am reviewing this book as an independent person with no incentive other than wanting to find new Author a books I love!!

First and for most I Loved this book, it was definitely a slow burn, with the promise of what is to come, in book two. the two main characters definitely have spark, and you can cut it with a knife, it does have trauma and triggers in it, so beware!!
It is a good book for a young adult who is just starting out in the romance world, and I would definitely recommend this book for any and all my friends!!!
I loved the story line, the magic, the angst, and the promise of more to come!

Thank you to the author and Book Sirens for this ARC. 3.5 ⭐️

While very well written, unfortunately this book just didn't grab me the way I hoped. It was marked as paranormal fantasy, there was barely more than slight peaks and hints of anything paranormal until more than 50% into the book. I shared the FMC (Remi's) frustration of not knowing what the heck was going on! That was most likely done to draw out the suspense, but it was more frustrating for me than anything. The first half of the book seemed to drag a bit, and then there were a lot of discoveries and explanations in the last half, which ended in an abrupt cliff hanger leading in to book 2.

This book was intriguing. It was filled with lots of surprises. I experienced several episodes of anxiety, anger, frustration, good feeling moments, and a lot of “what was that?”. I hit the cliffhanger and couldn’t believe there wasn’t more story. I thought something was wrong with my Kindle when the page wouldn’t turn, but it was the ending of the book. The next book needs to be in my hands right now. How can I wait to see what happens to Remi and Lucas? You will enjoy reading this book. Loved it!

Absolutely loved this book. The writing was amazing. The world building was exquisite. I loved the characters. They were so relatable and easy to follow. And the story itself was wonderful. The twists and turns and the emotions. It was a book that you don’t put down until you’re finished. It was that good. I got the opportunity to read this as an arc and I an so glad that I was chosen to do so.

A NA, slow burn, paranormal romance. I got hooked into it way quicker than expected and loved it.
Well written characters, detailed plot line & the most DRAMATIC ending!! The relationships between characters were developed thoroughly and there are so many little hints throughout to keep you guessing!
I can't wait to read the second installment, like yesterday!

💜💜ARC Review 💜💜

So...what the hell happened to this girl!? Was my first thought, when I started this book. Then that thought took a complete sideline as I went on and I was just buzzing with anticipation throughout, especially when we met Lucus 🥵

I love Remi, I think after everything she's been through she's still such a fierce and sassy character, and with Lucus she seems to become her best self. I liked their dynamic of banter, sass and chemistry, it was electric.

This gives you a slight twilight vibe but it's better, because it's all about the tribes and their heritage and wolves! (I was always team Jacob😅)

I honestly loved this book so much!
But that cliffhanger was mean.

Highly recommend, top Indie Author here!!
