The Boston Underworld #1

Crimson Night Sins

Rate this book
Men like him don’t rescue. They claim.

Vincenzo
Power is the only language I trust. I learned it behind bars, paid for it in blood, and perfected it in the shadows once I clawed my way free. For years, I built an empire no one could touch—brick by ruthless brick—while obsessing over the one thing I was never meant to have. Sometimes I caught myself tracing her name in my mind over and over, like it’s the only way to keep her close. But she is the weakness I couldn’t outrun.
So…I gave in.
I wear the mask for her. Not to hide, but to remind her I am everywhere. Watching. Waiting. Nowhere to hide.

Amanda
I didn’t survive this world to belong to anyone. I fight for every inch. When the walls finally close in and I’m suffocating under the weight of everything I’ve built, a masked man pulls me from the dark. I don’t know if he saved me…or chained me to his side. The mask hides his face, but I feel him in every breath, every glance, every shadow that moves with me. He sees me—fully.
And that terrifies me more than the danger ever could.
But the underworld doesn’t care about something as fragile as a heart. If we want each other, everything is on the table. His freedom, my empire, the fragile lies keeping us alive, all fractured.
Because wanting him won’t just cost me everything. It will destroy us both — and we choose it anyway.

Crimson Night Sins is a standalone dark mafia romance set in a Boston underworld where power doesn’t disappear—it just changes hands. No cheating. No cliffhangers. Guaranteed HEA. Morally grey, obsessive, and not suitable for everyone.

I was lucky enough to get an arc of this and it was a great read. The way Mandy and Enzo made their way back to each other was everything. All the little ups and downs made the end perfect.

ARC REVIEW

First and foremost, thank you, Alexa Michaels, for another arc from the series!! The first Novella was great and was an absolutely amazing start for this introduction of the series, especially of Vincenzo and Amanda. The one thing I enjoyed about this one was the constant shifting from the present to the past, and also the fact that we really got to see their love form from the past, but then die, and then be replenished in the present. I enjoy such a great forced to marriage or arranged marriage, and this one did not disappoint. I think for me also, which was great, was the action of this book on the criminal side but also on the like the lawyer side. I will absolutely recommend this book and the series to anybody.

I received an ARC of this book from the author.

If you like dark, morally grey yet compelling Mafia reads, then this book is for you!

At the start, I found it very difficult to like Amanda but when she finally found herself, she became a force to be reckoned with. Enzo? well he was just a teddy bear wrapped in a wolf's clothing 🤣 Loved him!

The storyline is complex and fast paced, with flashbacks to reinforce the past relationship between Amanda and Enzo.

All in all, a great read and looking forward to the next book by Alexa!

Vincenzo “Enzo” and Amanda were never a soft kind of love. They were the kind that consumes you whole when you’re young—the kind that feels eternal because it’s too intense to imagine ever ending. Reckless. Addictive. The type of connection that brands itself into your soul before you’re even old enough to understand the damage it can do. And when betrayal ripped them apart, it didn’t just break their relationship—it destroyed them both in completely different ways.

Enzo lost his freedom when Amanda’s ruthless father sent him to prison, but the years behind bars never killed what he felt for her. If anything, they sharpened it into something darker, more dangerous, and impossibly obsessive. He never stopped loving his Mandy. Never stopped waiting for her. Never stopped watching from afar, carrying the ghost of their past like a wound that refused to close.

Meanwhile, Amanda spent those same years rebuilding herself from the ashes. She transformed into someone coldly competent and untouchable on the surface—a brilliant, ambitious lawyer clawing desperately for the approval of the emotionally barren father who has controlled every corner of her life. From the outside, she looks successful, polished, and perfectly put together. But underneath? She’s exhausted. Hollowed out. Starving for love she will never receive from the one man whose validation still has the power to destroy her.

And then there’s Steven. The fiancé.

If there has ever been a proposal designed more for appearances than passion, this was it. Their relationship felt transactional from the beginning, rushed and strangely empty, like Amanda was trying to force herself into the version of happiness everyone expected from her. Steven struts through the story with all the charm of a self-important peacock—more concerned with status and image than truly seeing the woman beside him. Every interaction with him feels emotionally suffocating, which only makes Enzo’s presence loom even larger in the background.

Because Enzo sees her.

He sees the cracks Amanda hides from everyone else. The exhaustion in her eyes. The loneliness she buries beneath sharp words and relentless ambition. He sees how hard she’s fighting to hold herself together while slowly unraveling inside. And while Amanda refuses to admit she’s drowning, Enzo waits in the shadows like a man prepared to burn the world down before he lets her fall.

That’s what makes this story so utterly addictive: Enzo himself.

He is obsessive in the most intoxicating way possible. Possessive. Calculating. Violently protective. The man radiates pure alpha energy, and every scene he’s in carries this dangerous undercurrent that makes it impossible to look away. But what elevates him beyond the typical dark romance hero is the aching vulnerability beneath all that control. His love for Amanda never feels shallow or performative. It feels tragic. Endless. Almost feral in its intensity.

This isn’t a man chasing ownership. It’s a man clinging to the only person who has ever truly mattered to him.

And those years of longing? You feel every single one of them.

The slow burn of Enzo waiting in the dark before finally stepping back into Amanda’s life is excruciating in the best possible way. There’s something almost haunting about his patience, about the way he studies her from a distance, learning who she’s become while still loving the girl she used to be. It’s toxic. It’s messy. It’s deeply unhealthy at times. And yet the emotional weight behind it makes it impossible not to root for them.

Amanda is equally compelling because she never loses herself completely to the romance. She’s intelligent, stubborn, brutally blunt, and fiercely independent even when she’s emotionally collapsing. She fights Enzo constantly. Challenges him. Pushes back against his control at every turn. And that tension between them is electric. Every interaction crackles with unresolved pain, chemistry, and years of suppressed longing.

The obsession, the stalking, the masks, the dark tension simmering beneath every encounter—it all creates this intoxicating atmosphere of danger and desire without losing sight of the emotional heart of the story. Because underneath all the suspense and intensity is a devastating love story about two broken people trying to find their way back to each other after years of pain, betrayal, and emotional ruin.

And the flashbacks? Absolutely heartbreaking.

Seeing Enzo and Amanda as teenagers makes the present timeline hurt so much more. You don’t just hear about their love—you feel it. Their innocence. Their passion. Their downfall. The story forces you to mourn the years they lost, the people they could have become if the world hadn’t torn them apart. So when their reunion finally erupts onto the page, it feels explosive and deeply earned. Not just passionate, but emotional in a way that hits hard.

Because this isn’t simply about rekindling old feelings.

It’s about healing old wounds. It’s about Amanda finally stepping out from beneath her father’s shadow and reclaiming herself. It’s about Enzo learning that love cannot survive on obsession alone. And it’s about two people who were shattered by the past trying to rebuild something stronger from the wreckage.

Dark, emotionally charged, suspenseful, and dripping with tension, this story delivers everything a dark second-chance romance should. The angst is relentless, the chemistry is scorching, and the devotion is so intense it borders on madness. If you love romances with morally gray heroes, dangerous obsession, explosive reunions, and a man who would destroy anyone foolish enough to hurt the woman he loves, this book will consume you completely.

Vincenzo (Enzo) and Amanda were once the kind of teenage love that feels immortal—reckless, consuming, inseparable. Until betrayal tore them apart and Enzo landed in prison, courtesy of her ruthless father. But prison bars never dulled his obsession. He never stopped loving his Mandy. Never stopped waiting. And never stopped watching. While Enzo was serving time, Amanda rebuilt herself into someone formidable—a sharp, ambitious lawyer determined to earn the approval of the cold, impossible man who controls her world. On paper, she’s thriving. She’s even engaged to Steven… though that proposal felt more strategic than swoon-worthy. They’d barely been together a few months, and honestly? Steven felt more like a self-important peacock than a devoted fiancé. The romance is questionable at best. And then there’s Enzo. Lurking. Calculating. Patient. He sees what no one else does. How Amanda is cracking under the pressure, how she’s starving herself emotionally trying to win affection she’ll never get. She’s all sharp edges and stubborn pride, refusing to admit she’s unraveling. But Enzo? He’s ready to catch her before she hits the ground. What makes this story so addictive is Enzo himself. Yes, he’s obsessive. Yes, he’s possessive. The man is pure alpha energy. Powerful, commanding, and absolutely unhinged when it comes to protecting what’s his. But he’s not hollow dominance. There’s vulnerability beneath the control, a quiet, aching devotion that makes his years of pining feel epic rather than excessive. Watching him bide his time in the shadows before finally stepping in to reclaim her was dark, but deliciously romantic. Amanda is intelligent, blunt, and fiercely independent, even when she’s spiraling. She doesn’t make it easy for Enzo, and that push and pull between them was electric. The tension crackles. The chemistry burns. The mask, the stalking, the dark undercurrent of obsession, it all amplifies the thrill without overshadowing the emotional core. And that history. The flashbacks to their younger selves make everything sharper, more painful. You feel the time they lost. You feel the betrayal. So, when their reunion finally explodes onto the page, it’s powerful and hard-earned. It’s not just about reclaiming love, it’s about healing, growth, and Amanda stepping fully into her own power. Dark, suspenseful, and packed with action, this story delivers angst, spice, and obsessive devotion in spades. If you love second-chance romance with a dangerous edge and a hero who would burn the world down for his girl, this one will have you glued to the pages.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book, so thank you to Alexa Michaels for trusting me with a copy.

I went into this thinking I was getting dark mafia romance with heat.. which, yes, absolutely. But I wasn’t expecting how layered the story would be. There’s honestly a story within the story, and as things slowly unravel, everything starts to make sense. Nothing felt random. When something clicked into place, it stayed there.

I didn’t love Amanda at first. She felt cold and distant, and I’ll admit she frustrated me. But the more you learn about her, the more you realize that’s her shield. She’s not icy for no reason, she’s protecting herself. Once that shifted for me, I appreciated her so much more.

Vincenzo… listen. I know some readers will call him a walking red flag. I just don’t agree. He’s intense, yes. Protective to a fault? Probably. But after losing eight years of his life and rebuilding himself from nothing, the man knows exactly what he wants. And what he wants is her. His love isn’t soft and sweet.. it’s consuming, deliberate, and sometimes brutal. But it never feels meaningless.

The wedding day scene..and the tongue.. if you know, you know. I won’t spoil it, but that moment says everything about who he is. And the olive oil scene? I will never look at olive oil the same way again.

What I appreciated most is that the emotional intensity matched the physical tension. Miscommunications don’t drag forever. Conversations actually happen. When truths come out, they stick. And that courtroom moment had me holding my breath.

There’s also a subtle shift in who the real “monster” of the story is. Without giving anything away, someone you might be ready to blame isn’t the villain after all.

And as someone who speaks fluent Italian, I genuinely loved seeing Italian words and phrases woven into the story. They felt natural and added culture instead of feeling forced.

Overall, this was dark, emotional, intense, and layered in a way I didn’t expect. I’m really grateful to Alexa Michaels for the ARC. This one definitely left me wanting more!

ARC Review, thx Alexa Michaels

It's a dark mafia romance/second-chance love story packed with suspense, angst, and smut.
Amanda, aka Mandy, the daughter of a lawyer, and Vincenzo, aka Enzo, the son of a capo in the Boston underworld, have known each other since childhood, loved each other since school, and were cruelly separated when Vincenzo was imprisoned for many years.
After eight years, Enzo stalks Mandy and does everything he can to win her back. He kidnaps her and forces her to marry him. Naturally, things spiral out of control, and a rollercoaster of emotions ensues, along with several obstacles to overcome.
As a reader, you empathize with the protagonists, especially Enzo, who has been badly wronged. I really like this second-chance love storyline, just a bit too long. Almost 500 pages.
I wanted to shake Mandy a few times because I can't understand how an intelligent lawyer could let her father treat her like that and make a fool of her. Her father "sold" her twice to shady characters, and she just accepts it?
What's good is how Enzo and Mandy find their way back to each other. You can empathize, sympathize with them, and share in their joy.
Bonus points for Enzo being a cat dad.
The side characters are also lovingly portrayed. One of these side characters will be the focus of the next book. However, I must confess that I have a problem with protagonists having permanent disfigurements, especially facial ones. We'll see about that.
In any case, this book is highly recommended.

When I read the novella before this Silent Night Sins (Nicole & Cristiano’a book) I could not wait for Vincenzo & Amanda and it certainly did not disappoint 👏🏼

Vincenzo is definitely the definition of a man who yearns because even when he was behind bars this man plotted until he could call Amanda his once again. Our pair do have a past- they knew each other while teenagers and you could definitely say they were each others first loves, that was until Vincenzo was sent to prison and for a while these two remained in contact but all of a sudden the letters stopped and Amanda could no longer visit.

As such life went on and Amanda became a lawyer with the hopes of pleasing her father but it was never enough. She was dating a man of high status, of course which her father approved of, for less than a few months when he popped the question and she said yes. But on that very night she started receiving messages from an unknown number not to agree to the marriage. But of course the marriage does not go ahead, well there is a marriage but Amanda’s suitor is none other than Vincenzo who waits patiently in the spot her groom should be🤭.

Overall I absolutely loved these book. It was clear that even though Amanda and Vincenzo spent some time apart their spark did not fade. They were both just as possessive as each other might I add🤭

I cannot wait for our next couple which was teased throughout this book. Thank you to the author who provided this e-arc for my honest thoughts 💭

We meet Amanda briefly in the novella Silent Night Sins about Nicole & Cristiano, siblings to Amanda & Vincenzo.

Mandy & Enzo were childhood sweethearts, torn apart after Enzo was sent to prison. Mandy is left to grow up with an impossible father. She is stubborn, independent, & a people pleaser, and inside she’s torn apart by Enzo’s leaving.

Enzo is still in love with her; he’s been out of prison for two years since the start of the book, and he’s built up an empire of his own. His goal is to take down Amanda’s father, the man who put him in prison.

Amanda is a junior partner at a law firm; she’s working herself into an early grave and not taking care of herself. She’s agreed to marry a boring English fiancé that her father approves of. She’s resigned herself to a life of pleasing others.

Vincenzo comes into her life as a masked stalker, feeding her, giving her vitamin shots, and eventually showing up at the altar as an alternative fiancé. All the good gray flags are being raised.

Five-star read, enjoyed the story.

“Crimson Night Sins” is the first book in “The Boston Underworld Series.” This is a standalone dark mafia romance set in a Boston underworld where power doesn’t disappear - it just changes hands. The story had me hooked from the start. Being a Mafia Romance story, it is dark in places, violent at times, passionate in places, full of secrets, loyalties tested and let’s not forget the heat between them. You will fall in love with Vincenzo and Amanda, hoping that everything with work out for them and if they have a future together.

“The purr of a bike rippled through the air. As if summoned by my resolve, a figment of darkness shot down the street, hopped the curb, and stopped at the base of the steps. The black bike growled in greeting.
I smiled in return.”

There is never a dull moment - you will be hooked! I know I was - just love these two! A thoroughly enjoyable read from page to page, one chapter to the next - at times you are metaphorical “on the edge of your chair” wondering what will happen next. Cannot wait for the next book in the series! Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊

A dark, addictive second-chance mafia romance I absolutely loved. Vincenzo (Vinny) and Amanda (Mandy) were school sweethearts with big dreams and a bright future, until her father’s betrayal sent Vincenzo to prison at eighteen and shattered their dreams. Yet time, distance, and secrets never extinguished their love; they only made it deeper, darker, and more consuming, turning into obsession with Vinny. When the past collides with the present, they are still the boy and girl who were once crazy for each other, and Vincenzo is there to catch Amanda before she falls, and when everything she worked so hard for crumbles. Ruthless to everyone else, he is protective, patient, and willing to sacrifice anything for her happiness. The tension, spice, and obsessive devotion are off the charts, and the mask and stalking elements heighten the thrill, making every page sizzling. This was an easy five-star read for me, and I can’t wait for the next book! A huge thank you to Alexa for the ARC. She’s so kind, and I’m grateful for the chance to read and review this story. Highly Recommended!!!

Crimson Night Sins by Alexa Michaels is a dark mafia romance packed with suspense and danger. Amanda and Vincenzo’s tragic story will leave you breathless, especially when Vincenzo’s touch-her-and-die energy kicks in to prove he’ll burn the world down to keep her safe.

Amanda’s smart, stubborn, and wonderfully blunt. Vincenzo’s the ultimate obsessive and possessive alpha. Watching him pining from afar until he finally stepped in to claim her was romance goals. But she doesn't make it easy for him, which made the chase even better. Their tragic history intensifies every moment of their well-earned and powerful reunion.

My one critique is the novel’s length. While the deep character building is appreciated, the pacing feels sluggish at times. A few surgical edits would have tightened the storyline to better match its intensity.

Title: Crimson Night Sins
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

I know I’m late to the game and it took me awhile to start this book. I’m so sorry for that but once I started it I couldnt completely stop reading. The fact I’m all over this book is hilarious but more than that I felt what our main FMC was feeling. Trying to be the best for the approval but never getting it and trying harder to get it. Working yourself to the bone and not taking care of yourself I know how she feels. But this man! Our MMC! Was absolutely everything she needed and so much more. Their love stood the test of time and fight! And man did they fight for each other. It was so beautifully written! Each one in their own special way was written into place perfectly. The plot was thick and nice I couldn’t have asked anything different from the author. I absolutely can’t wait to see the next story in this line. I don’t want to give too much away because it’s definitely a book you need to read.

Crimson Night Sins delivers everything I love about forbidden mafia romance — high stakes, simmering tension, and a love story that feels both dangerous and irresistible. Alexa Michaels creates a gritty Boston underworld atmosphere that pulls you in from the first page.

The chemistry between the leads is electric, especially with the forbidden element raising the emotional intensity. The hero is powerful and commanding, but layered with just enough vulnerability to make him compelling rather than one-dimensional. The heroine brings strength and emotional depth, which makes their connection feel balanced and meaningful.

The pacing keeps the suspense tight while still allowing the romance to unfold in a way that feels earned. If you enjoy mafia romance, forbidden love, morally gray heroes, and passionate, high-tension relationships, this one absolutely delivers.

After reading Nicole and Cristiano’s story, I was really looking forward to Amanda and Lorenzo’s. Mandy and Enzo share a complicated history, this is very much a second-chance, dark romance, although I did not realise that unlike the first instalment, this was a full-length novel (my fault).

The story itself is not bad and is generally well written, but it felt overly drawn out. The back and forth after the wedding becomes repetitive: Enzo is present one moment and disappears the next, while Mandy swings between admitting her feelings and trying to return to her old life, even when she is clearly in danger. They are both so stubborn, clinging on to the past, and avoid actually communicating, which makes the conflict feel frustratingly circular and unnecessarily prolonged.

Overall, I did enjoy their story and was happy with the ending, but I found myself skimming large sections just to get there.

Oh my what a book! Absolutely amazing. Vincenzo and Amanda were so right for each other and that history. Kept me spell bound i didn't want to put it down.

After a tragic past that kept them apart, Vincenzo watches lawyer Amanda from afar until she is promised to someone in marriage.

Amanda i loved. She was stubborn, bratty, super smart and blunt. Not willing to play games with Enzo. But Enzo wanted her back and no wasn't an answer he was willing to take. Possessive, touch her and die, totally alpha dominant Enzo adored his girl Amanda. Not through everything they each save each other.

Suspense, danger, drama and a brilliant romance that i couldn't help being drawn into. Beautiful written with an easy read style, brilliant characters and a plot that makes me excited for the next book to come. Brilliant work Alexa!!

- Second chance, of sorts
- Forbidden love
- Childhood friends to lovers
- Morally grey MMC
- He is obs3ss3d with her
- Touch her at your own peril

The one thing that I consistently love about Alexa's books are the characters. Enzo is so obs3ss3d with Amanda. Like he would do anything to be with her, including sneaking into her apartment, sending her texts from an anonymous number, etc.

Amanda's life is not going exactly as she expected. Her boring boyfriend doesn't do anything for her, but other than a anonymous chat with someone who does crank her engine, she doesn't feel the need to make any changes.

That is until her secret admirer steps up his game.... I loved the energy and spice in this book so much! Another winner from Alexa!

Thank you to Alexa Michaels for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Okay but LISTEN. This one had me stressed in the best way.

The forbidden aspect? Actually forbidden. Not just “we probably shouldn’t” — but this could ruin everything levels of tension. And you feel that in every single interaction.

The chemistry is immediate, but it’s not rushed. It builds. It simmers. And every time they’re in the same room, you just know something is about to explode.

I loved that the mafia backdrop wasn’t just aesthetic — it mattered. The danger felt real. The stakes weren’t just emotional, they were external too, which made the romance hit even harder. Loyalty vs. desire is one of my favorite dynamics, and this delivered.

And the payoff?? Worth it. The buildup didn’t collapse at the end. It escalated. When everything finally comes to a head, it feels earned and intense and satisfying.

This is a 5 ⭐ for me because:

The tension never dipped

The chemistry felt dangerous

The emotional beats actually landed

And I was still thinking about it after I finished

Dark. Addictive. Slightly stressful. Exactly what I want in a mafia romance.

If you love forbidden dynamics, morally gray loyalty, and romance that feels risky instead of safe — you need this one.

so good

This book was an absolute wild ride in the best way! It was dark, angsty, emotional and the MMC was absolutely delicious! Enzo and Amanda have history that is just heartbreaking honestly, and I love that we get some of that backstory mixed in with their current story.

There’s some serious baddies doing everything they can to keep these two apart, but Enzo is a man who knows what he wants and will stop at nothing to get his girl. This book was an absolute banger of a read! Betrayal and secrets, mafia men, arranged marriage, and a FMC stuck in the middle of it all. But that ending…I loved every part of it! Can’t wait for the next one!

Once again Alexa has done it! When a book ropes you in and leaves you wanting more!?! I absolutely could not put this down. At the beginning Amanda seemed very stubborn but she learned to grow and not jump to conclusions as time went by. She learned to listen first. Enzo her childhood crush… coming in (after being imprisoned by her father years before) literally steals her from her wedding, where she was going to marry the British Lord her father had sold her to only to marry her himself. A lot of old pent up tension and learning to trust again. The tattoo scene was my favorite! I can’t wait to read about Gabriella and Liam next!

Mandy and Enzo were so good together in this story. Having grown up together only to lose touch because Enzo goes to prison. Mandy is a lawyer and agrees such a great person. But her father seeks her? How are you a lawyer and this happens? I didn’t get that part…but okay. Enzo gets out of prison eight years later and decides he’s going to Mandy his. So he kidnaps her and forces her to marry him. But I loved the push and pull between them, and the way they were able to repair the time lost. These two are genuinely meant for one another. All that spice proves it lol. But this is dark and twisted. An excellent story.

Enzo and Amanda have the perfect spark and connection of true love… they could have been mates on how intense this book was. The morally grey Enzo was just the perfect mix of a bad A$$ dark yet delicious and full of love MMC. I devoured this book and looking forward to the next one in the series Liam was so intriguing that I know his story is going to be epic.
The amount of twists and turns in this book kept me at the edge of my seat. This is the kind of book that you don’t want to put down even when you really have to then you stay thinking about the characters all day till you are able to come back to read. The anticipation of what’s coming next was intense. I loved every minute of it.

I’m usually not one for a mafia romance , but this one ? Very good ! From the start you see how strong and independent the FMC is , at times her being so independent got frustrating only because the MMC wants to love and protect her . In his own obsessive way .

You could tell as you read , they definitely had some great chemistry going on . It was a perfect mix of obsession , love and devotion. The MMC has a hard , serious man to everyone else , but to the FMC and that just made me all giddy.

If you’re a dark romance girl , who likes Mafia romance or want to try something new I totally recommend this book !

⭐️4.5/5 | 🌶️2/5

This book surprised me in the best way.

Something I really appreciated was how the flashbacks were woven throughout the story. They added so much depth and meaning without pulling me out of the present timeline. Watching their love unfold from past to present created such a strong emotional connection—and if you’ve seen my reviews before, you know that connection is everything for me.

I went in expecting a dark mafia romance with some heat… and yes, it absolutely delivered that. But what I didn’t expect was how layered the story would be.

🖤 Reading mood: intense, obsessed, slightly unhinged, and emotionally invested

I love a second chance romance, forbidden love as Vincenzo and Amanda's story is amazing. Torn apart by her overprotective father and brought together by fate again. Enzo and Mandy have to fight for everything they want, but first her has to change her mind, her heart was shattered before, can she let him into her heart again? A captivating story, roller-coaster story of very emotion betrayal, love, hate, secrets and lies comes full circle for them. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Please check all CW and TW before diving into this one. Ok first of all I empathized with Amanda in this one. She wanted to make her father proud of her. Loved that she wasn't they mafia princess type but a woman that has a career. I absolutely hated her father. My jaw was on the floor as we get to know more and more about what Amanda has to deal with. Then there is Vincenzo, I get his motivation! I loved the way he felt about Amanda their chemistry was off the charts.

I absolutely love this book. The book isn't short. The author took the time to build the characters and the storyline. The MMC is a stalker who takes care of the MFC. Instead of being weirded out....it's kinda sweet in it's own way. You'll understand what I mean if you've read the book. It's great to see a strong MMC who is vulnerable at the same time. The MFC was a good match for him. Their love story kept me reading. It was difficult to put down. Definitely recommend giving this book a try.

After reading silent night sins I was really looking forward to hear Mandy's and Enzo's story.
Unfortunately this wasn't my cup of the tea. The setting was alright, backstory and characters solid but it just didn't "click" with me. The seesawing of emotions, time jumps to past etc just made it feel a bit lukewarm.
So 3,5 stars from me but I'm sure someone else will love this story and the little (and big) things in it.

I'm dying for these characters and how much Enzo has been longing for her. I melted for how much he was willing to wait for her and how he was willing to learn her all over again as adults, because he knew he would love her forever. For Mandy, she needed a little more time to remember thier love, but Enzo is willing to protect her, keep her, and give her as much space as he can, but they are drawn together like magnets.
The karma that comes out in this book is pure fire! Loved it!.
