Alright, Book 7. You knew this train was already barreling down the tracks. Towerbound’s world and the real districts finally collide, and everything gets louder.
Here’s what I can tell you without handing out spoilers like
The Prosperous Guild? Still here. Still irritating. Still convinced they can buy their way to relevance.
Wild mana fluctuations are hammering every region, twisting rules nobody thought could bend. It’s the kind of instability that makes a dystopia feel a little too honest.
And through all that, the Scrap Rats are doing exactly what everyone expects—Scrap Ratty things. Schemes, potions, risky brilliance, victories that look accidental but aren’t. Ren keeps acting like he’s just navigating a Gamelit adventure, but everyone around him is starting to notice he’s running out of excuses for how often he pulls off miracles.
All of it happening inside the Mega Patch, where the population keeps growing, the culture keeps evolving, and time travel rumors spread faster than food lines. People whisper that the Tower isn’t just bleeding mana into the world—it’s bleeding history, too.
Ren’s influence keeps expanding whether he wants it to or not, and the districts are beginning to realize that the biggest wildcard in their collapsing dystopia is a man who still brews potions like he’s in a game.

Did the wrong version get published?
I love the series and have been eagerly awaiting this installment. It is one of the few serials that I am able to easily immerse into and one of the very few that do not repeatedly jerk me out of immersion with constant spelling, grammatical and formatting errors--until this volume. Why, oh why, was this copy (full of editor commenting--including changes that resulted in even more grammatical errors) the one that got published? If it was a mistake then it is yet another example of the importance of that one final check before pushing the green button and of Amazon's stupidity in making it so difficult/expensive for writers to make post production updates. If this was a decision to include the editorial notes in support of the author's Patreon alpha and beta readers then I maintain that it was a poor one made at the expense of paying readers who want to enjoy a finished work uninterupted by someone else's pat on the back.

It's fantastic!
This is such a great series. I'm sad that there's only one more book left in it. If you like the previous books in the series, you're going to love this. If you didn't, you're not going to like this. If you haven't read any of the previous books and you're just starting here, you're going to be confused but probably entertained, but you'll be very confused. A lot of payoff. A lot of plot progression payoff. It's very well done. I can't really tell you any more than that without ruining the plot for you. I'll be sad that this series is over, but it's been such a great read. I apologize for any explain errors. I'm writing this review with voice to text. I hope it's been somewhat helpful to you

Still an enjoyable read but having 20 odd points of view results in a very scattershot and disjointed story with some POV's being only one paragraph long and then we never hear from them again.
Unfortunatley this has gone from a fun regression story while it was in the Towerbound game to a mediocre apocalypse story now its in the real world after the merge. There are very few LITRpg game elements in it now and with the next book being the final one I dont see how much of the game elements which were so fun from the Towerbound game world can be reintroduced.
Also why is it called Ebon Tower when the tower is in maybe 2 pages of the book?

What a BOOK!!! AMAZING!!!! 🤯🤯🤯
A really enjoy singing Ren and is "Rats" growing I thought the book was going to be a bit different perspective and all but worked out to better really really nicely enjoy the book I couldn't put it done was listening it to to it until 2:00 a.m. and then got some sleep woke up at 6 just to listen to the rest of it absolutely love the book will continue to read the last one absolutely love the story five stars one of my top five series 5 Starts 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Well done
It's only taken seven books to get to the big fight they've been foreshadowing and I'm glad there were books of back story and background characters that we grew to love or hate. It made following this past book so much easier. One critique is that the same format/style was used to describe battles between monsters and humans or any confrontation really. I found it lacking in description capabilities but maybe I was just hoping for more. I am still looking forward to the next book because I absolutely want to know what happens. I'm invested now.

sloppy and overuse of AI
The dialogue is very rough. Seems like a lot of AI usage because the conversations don’t feel natural. It’s like a cross between the power rangers and old school Batman. Everyone has to say something for every comment and then when they fight the text if so full of onomatopoeias and visceral descriptions of the same monster dying over and over in the same way. A beat. It’s annoying. I mean who says “a beat” this much to signify a pause. Repetitive AI, that’s who. Or what, I should say.

Towerbound is just getting better
I know people complain but i like how you get other perspectives throughout the book it lets you know there is an actual story with charaters who engage your heart and mind.
This is a great book in the series and it sets you to wanting more, i am really anticipating the next book and also sad that the story eill be ending. I have loved this series from the start and aboslutly wish for yhe cheese to continue into the future.

combat
A lot of combat. Monster waves.
The prose has grown a bit…florid? A lot of declarative sentences.
Each as a separate paragraph.
It stops being a narrative.
And becomes a disjunct news story.
I’d prefer things flowed a bit better, with paragraphs that are more than one sentence. More nuanced and connected, and better able to sustain narrative pace.
But I’ll keep reading.
Because it’s still fun.

The bad reviews are dead wrong
I'm not sure what book the low star reviewers read, but it definitely wasn't this one. Ren is in every chapter. Other characters are fleshed out more. The monsters attack the wall. Finally the other districts wake up. Lots of action! This book is my favorite one. The other voices learn the mega patch is no ones piggy bank. I LOVE the thud thud song! Laugh out loud brilliance.

love it
Another great chapter. Many different viewpoints but each one moved the overarching story forward. It not the biggest strengths of this series is how it makes each individual character unique and real. I’m almost sad that the next book is the last but can’t wait to see how everything is wrapped up. Overall a fantastic chapter in the story!

Ummm
So I like the series but how is this the second to last book. I just don't see how the series can wrap up in the next book, so I'm mysteriously looking forward to it. My only complaint is about time in this book sometimes it important and exact, and other it's vague and annoying; just be consistent about time.

Cannot believe how good this series is
What I really love about this series is the story keeps moving forward. Many good series end up repeating themselves, while this one’s progress is smooth

Brilliant as always
Fabulous pace and plot. Some great character progression. I’m loving the more political angle.
My only frustration is the book felt too short!
