Enter Here: An Anthology of Portals

Breaking into publishing can feel like knocking on a closed door or being turned away from a barred gate. Enter Here is an anthology of speculative fiction from marginalized voices. With this collection, we want to open the doors--to marvel, to dazzle, to terrify, to unlock.

These thirteen short stories of science fiction, horror, and fantasy span the range from cozy to grimdark, each responding to the theme: A door opens. Enter Here invites you to step through these doorways... if you dare.

My favs:

Good Girls of the salt—mermaids, death, boundaries crossed. An entertaining read

Somewhere in the Nowhere—a lighthouse, a microscope. Had me thinking.

Of Cedar and Sea—a story of the Fisherwoman. I enjoyed the setting and the lore

13 really fascinating stories by a lot of new-to-me authors. Excellent mix of sweet/happy to horror pieces. Particularly loved “The Eagles are Nesting at Pheasant Run”, “The Library of the Lost”, “To Immortalize Love” and “The God of the Leftmost Door. Bought this via a Kickstarter and I’m glad I did.

A fantastic smattering of stories. Well edited, just a couple of errors, but nothing keeping me from enjoying it.

My favorite stories had to be that of Nobody and that of the Library of the Lost, but all of them are pretty good. I don't think I disliked any story in the whole anthology.
