What can go wrong with a covert internet search? More than anyone expects in the Pagan Souls clubhouse.
Shadow is a man who enjoys spending his time in the shadows. When he isn’t there, usually helping out his club or one of their friends, he gladly spends his time with his club family. For him, they’re his only family. His rescue from the streets as a teenager by the former club president, Rage, and the current president, Wrath, who was Rage’s son, formed that unbreakable bond. They gave him the stability he needed after losing his parents, and his older brothers abandoned him.
Cambria is a woman who sometimes lurks in the shadows on the internet. She does so to fulfill her second job, uncovering hidden information to help her friend Brae gather evidence to prosecute those who deserve it. It’s due to Brae that Cambria delves back into the online world. Months ago, she vetted the club that Brae is now a part of. But there’s one member she hasn’t been able to find much on. She decides to try again.
Cambria has no idea how her world is about to turn upside down. The last thing a woman with a secret wants is for that secret to be exposed. However, that’s precisely what happens. And she blames Shadow for it. When he discovers what Cambria is hiding, he feels remorse and insists not only on protecting her but also on finding a way to hide her again.
Except that Cambria’s secret is one that, once revealed, brings her to the attention of dangerous people. The last ones she wants finding her. As Shadow and his club work to hide Cambria away and repair what has been exposed, these two computer experts find themselves falling for each other.
However, they must take drastic steps to conceal her identity and eliminate the danger threatening her. It’s all driven by the reason she went into hiding fourteen years ago. Her past has a monster that most people can’t claim to have. Will her past be enough to turn Shadow away? Or will it not matter to this alpha biker and his club? After all, the Pagans are no strangers to drama, danger, and instantly falling in love.
All they have to do is create a new identity, take care of some fanatics, have her “pass away”, and find a way to eliminate for good the nightmare from her past. It’s all in the day’s work for the Pagan Souls of Oconee.
When Shadow meets Twilight, there’s no stopping the beautiful night they create. Or the strength they bring to their club.
An avid reader with a passion for romances that finally got the chance to write one of her own. The rest is history. Not what anyone thought for someone who has been a nurse and in healthcare management for years.
I sit writing as my two fur babies, my pugs Kujo and Khaos, impatiently wait for me to get done so they can lay on me as their human sofa!
My children are finally considered to be adults, so it's me, the hubby and the dogs.
I'm a iced tea drinking fiend who has insomnia, more ideas than I know what to do with, and a need to write them down.
Not too bad for a girl from rural Ohio in the foothills of Appalachia that grew up in a town of about 4000 people.
A great story about two hackers. They are definitely meant for each other. The spice is high. I could do without the bunny drama as I think it makes the ladies look insecure, but overall I enjoyed it.
It was good but it dragged on and on at the beginning. Also there’s some huge plot holes.
I did enjoy it but I won’t be reading it again. The beginning really drags on and on. It’s nearly 30% before they even meet, so before that we get an itinerary of their days. Boring. As they’re both computer hackers there’s a lot of descriptions about how they are researching and it’s really boring. Then when they finally meet it takes them to nearly 42% before they get together so there’s more details of computer searches. 🥱🥱🥱 There’s also some HUGE plot holes.
Cambria is best friends with Brae who is married to Loki, yet they never see each other. 🙄Cambria is Brae’s hacker for finding evidence for the cases that she prosecutes. For some bizarre reason Rage (Who is married to Brae’s mother Betty.) decides that Shadow should investigate Cambria as he thinks she’s a threat. To be honest the author just stuck this plot in there so Shadow would investigate her. When Shadow uncovers some horrific things that happened to Cambria it puts her life at risk. Shadow feels so guilty that he goes with Ryder to bring Cambria back to the compound for her safety.
Shadow really wants Cambria as his but doesn’t want to ‘rush’ her, so it’s weeks before they get together. It gets a bit annoying as they both are falling in love with each other but NOTHING HAPPENS, so Cambria is convinced that he doesn’t like her. 🥱
Of course the baddies soon realise where Cambria (HOW? It’s never explained.) and Cambria has to have a whole new identity. Yeah because the baddies wouldn’t realise it’s still her!!! 😡😡😡
Though parts are really good, there are parts that don’t make any sense. There’s also a part with Wrath’s old lady and the bunny fire, and I’m sorry but that’s HORRIFIC!!!
Not my favourite, but it passed some time with insomnia.
Since reading Wrath's Lunatic, I've been wanting more of the Pagan Souls of Oconee!
This book follows Shadow, the clubs computer whiz. He embodies his name and prefers to be in the shadows watching- it's rare the club brothers see him out and about. He also loves a good mystery to solve. The most recent one being the friend of Rage's daughter Brae- no one but Brae knows who this elusive Cam is, and Rage wants to know. Shadow also loves tracking a good hacker who is helping Brae with her work.
He recruits Shadow to figure out this mystery- but in doing so he exposes Cam and her past that she would rather keep buried. He morphs from a hacker to protector when he volunteers to help Cambria with the predicament she finds herself in. Of course the trouble brewing cause them to seek help from other clubs.
Sparks fly between the two and Shadow discovers his Twilight who is able to bring him out of the shadows.
It was also an enjoyment to get more of the bunny bonfire (yes people have problems with it but seriously with someone like Lunatic in the club it's going to get a little crazy). I can't wait for the next instalment for the Pagans!
Shadow embodies his name, preferring to not be out in the light, watching. He utilizes his computer skills for the club and can't resist a mystery. Cambria comes to his attention on the dark web and he has to scratch the itch of fascination. In doing so, she gets doxxed and her past is revealed. Horrified, Shadow immediately wants to jump in and help her. Once he meets her face to face, he knows he has found his one. Now to get her to give him a chance. Cambria lives a quiet life, having had enough turmoil in her teenage years to last two lifetimes. She loves using her computer skills to make a living. Noticing a tail during her activities on the dark web, she gets nervous. Once she is doxxed, her friend calls in the Pagan Souls to protect her and she meets Shadow. Now she has to fight her attraction to a man that probably only sees her as an obligation. This was another banger from CSJ! Shadow is a man who embodies still waters run deep. He is a sweetheart and Cambria deserves to have a man like him and a club family to surround her. What a joy to read!
Shadows name fit him perfectly. That's where he spent most of his life until an online hacker caught his attention. Several things go down that reveal the secret hacker that causes a lot of drama and chaos. Shadow feels awful about these secrets being revealed and vows to make things right and, in doing so, discovers his Twilight. Cambria has been in hiding for years, and the secrets that were revealed put her life in danger. With help from the club and outside friends, they're able to eliminate the threats and allow Cambria to stay safe. Shadow never thought he'd find his HEA until his Twilight appeared and helped him see outside of his shadows. This is another great read and addition to this chapter.
I am such a fan of Mrs. St. James and she never disappoints. First thank you Ciara for not making this a technology forward book. I could understand it, Lol! Shadow was a great hero! Was so happy when he took responsibility for the mistake he made. Oh let me say, loved Twilight and her real name was beautiful. So let me see how to say this without being vulgar! HOT hot! Ciara knows how to deliver the spice in her MC books. Overall this was a great book. Truly love Shadow and Twilight and can’t wait til the next one comes out next year! Two snaps to you Ciara
I honestly don't know what's happened to this author!! I've loved these books since book 1 but recently they have been bad! This one is the worse IMo, the absolute drivel of dialogue between the main characters, I was cringing so badly I had to take breaks!!! It's as if another author has taken over, theres no heart anymore. I don't feel the same way about the characters, the stories are boring and the dialogue is just so cringeworthy!! I'm feeling really sad about this turn of events. Maybe all these new series' have diluted the quality. Definitely thinking quality over quantity is a good motto to have!!
book two in the Pagan Souls of Oconee MC series. shadow is a brother form the club. while looking around the wedding he discovers cambria. she has been hiding and with shadow looking they found her. now they send her to the pagans mc to help. finally he meets who’s behind in the screen. one look and he’s gone. she’s been hiding for a moster and now they have found her. she needs all the help she can get. i love how this men fall and they fall hard. he makes it impossible not to like. she finds out he’s the missing part she never need she needed. great add on to this series.
I'm hooked on Ciara's books and Shadow is no slouch. Shadow, a loner and a hacker becomes obsessed with Cambria, who's also a computer wizard, after the former pres, Rage asks him to find out who she is. After stumbling upon her on the dark web, and after spilling her secrets, he morphs from creeper to bodyguard, and they have to navigate their sparks flying everywhere amidst the danger of finding out who's discovered her past and wants her dead! This book has it all - Suspense, Lotsa steamy scenes and a HEA!
Well, beautiful, really but what can I say I loved this book. Shadow and Cambria are the newest couple of Pagan souls their story rocks from beginning to end. We also get to visit with our favorite Lunatic and the fellow brothers. This book has it all action, intrigue, sexy time and finally laughter. This is what makes it beautiful, you get it all. Ciara you have out done yourself again. Five stars but should be ten must read. I highly recommend my fellow readers check this one out. Again, Peace out.
This is Shadow and Cambria’s story. Cambria’s father was a serial killer and she testified against him. She was put in protective custody and had to change her name. She is a computer architect. She makes her living that way but also surfs the dark web to help her friend but criminals behind bars by finding evidence for her. Shadow is also a computer person for his MC. Cambria tripped a flag he had which started the whole ball rolling. Many things happened before they got their HEA but what a ride.
This book took me by surprise. It was so unexpected & good. I was hooked from the beginning & didn’t want to put it down.
Let’s start with Cambria aka “Cam” or better known as Twilight. She is the perfect Old Lady for Shadow. Her back story is so heartbreaking & sad. I love how Shadow fell instantly in love with Cambria just off a photo. He knew without fulling grasping & acknowledging that was going to be his Future Old lady. They’re absolutely perfect for each other.
Ciara St. James has given us another amazing book to escape into. I loved Shadow and Cambria together. They are a sexy, romantic and intelligent couple. As soon as I started to read I was so drawn in I couldn't put the book down until I reached the happily ever after ending. Read this book, in fact, do yourself a favor and read all of her books! They are all great!
Ciara St James has the ability to make you feel like her characters are family & Shadow’s Twilight is a great example of it! From the first page I was drawn into Shadow’s world & knew immediately that Cambria was the one for him!! The twists & turns kept me riveted to each page & I love how the ending went. A very definite add to my growing Ciara collection and one that will always be on my “comfort food” book list!!
I felt for Cambria in this one. She was just trying to look out for her friend and in doing so her whole life imploded, a life she has once already had to rebuild. And while this seemed awful at first, it turned out it was the best thing to happen to her. She ended up meeting her other half in Shadow, found a place to fit in with the Pagan's and their allies and had that old threat taken care of in a final way. All in all, things are looking up for her by the end of the book
Was left still confused by the outing of Journi/Cambria story. Didn't really make sense to me. And the Mora story which started so prominently died to nearly nothing. Sex scenes were a bit overdone in relation to the rest. I read a lot of this author so guess maybe getting redundant.
My goodness the stories from Ciara they’re mind bending. I love that they’re full of love and extended family, but I love the action and danger that comes too. This held my attention from start to finish.
Love this book and it's series and would recommend it to anyone who loves to read about MC life and their families and friends 🧡 and Ciara St James IS AN AMAZING WRITER ❤️
Shadow really wants an old lady for himself. He is a computer whiz. He accidentally made a boo, but was not his fault. He goes to correct his mistake, end up falling for her, Cambria is also a computer whiz. I absolutely recommend this story, you will love it.
This was really an experience into the hackers and how they operate. The fear that Cam experienced and felt both before and later was compelling. The end was another well down and ready for the next one.
I have said it before and I will say it again, Ms Ciara is so talented and such a great storyteller! I am just happy knowing that her village is vast and deep! I have a feeling I am going to be reading her books for a long time to come😍
The crazies come out of the wood work looking for Cambria. Her and Shadow meet in an unexpected way. There's danger, plenty of heat, and a HEA. Can't wait for next book.
