Foster Kavanaugh is a former Navy SEAL with sexy good looks and playful sense of humor. Since returning home from serving his country women have been lining up to be with him. He works hard and plays even harder. He’s running his own security firm but his sexy employee Noelle Davis is like no woman he’s ever met. Noelle has a stalker and bossy Foster decides he is the perfect one to protect her. As the danger escalates, so does the desire between them which reaches its fevered pitch on which the author delivers so fabulously on.
This is a great read. The main characters, Foster and Noelle, are very good for each other. Their continued verbal sniping is a cover for the sexual attention that they have for each other. The humor in the story adds to the character development and leads you to want more.
The story is simple but fun, interesting and refreshingly enjoyable. Foster is such a deliciously tough hero on the outside and a softie on the inside and he just totally won me over with his sweet and tender nature that comes out to play when Noelle needs it the most. He’s a hard shell to crack, but from his POV I totally got the why's of it.
I loved the romance part of the book. The dynamic between Foster and Noelle was fantastic. The suspense part of the story was more on the low-intensity side. The romance is the more dominant part of the story, but I still liked the suspense angle. On the whole, this was just a really solid book that was enjoyable cover-to-cover.

Damn, but this story was sweet. This may have been the first time I tried something from R.C. Boldt, but it definitely won't be the last (looking forward to

chica!). This book had a certain charm to it. It was heartwarming and a bit sappy. It was funny with plenty of snark, witty banter, and traces of self-mockery. It was also sexy as hell!!

An enjoyable romance read.
Noelle was working at Foster’s security firm. He was an ex navy seal with ptsd issues, she was trying to escape from her horrible ex boyfriend.
Their banter was witty and they had a great chemistry and connection but emotions of love were slender.
Foster’s avoidance of commitment became slightly exhausting.
Although the story was predictable and with a few dragging moments, it was very well written.

I must confess that I began this book with partly formed opinion about the hero. I read all 4 “Teach me” books and the hero was one of the side characters.
Besides myannoying comments in the spoiler the hero was a good man with honorable job who deeply cared for his friends. He had PTSD, which was his major issue not letting people near his heart.
Drama toward the end: H pushed h away.
What I loved:
H’s dog. He was sooo adorable!
What I liked:
Many funny moments. Beautifully written feelings/chemistry between the MCs
What I didn’t like:
H’s sister was über disturbing! IMO! She bought her friend (h) sexy clothing the day h’s house was vandalized and she was at H’s home, because H’s sister wanted h to seduce H. *Did I miss smth?!* Her house was vandalized but she was supposed to seduce a man?!
The writing was fabulous!
I will give next book a try and I hope to get a less manwhorish H…

I delight in fiery workplace romances and OUT OF LOVE, an infectiously charming frenemies dramedy featuring growly ex-Navy SEAL Foster Kavanaugh and his sassy office manager Noelle Davis is PURE PERFECTION!! This passionate, playful and deeply stirring love story hit me hard in the funny bone AND in the feels!!
While just as engaging as the other tasty confection I read by the wickedly talented RC Boldt, the uproariously funny CLAM JAM, this book is slightly angstier in tone. I love the author’s versatility--she can write lol funny and poignant tearjerker scenes with equal aplomb and her witty inner dialogue is among the most hysterical I have ever read!!
The chemistry between this adorable duo is OFF THE CHARTS hot!!! Noelle and Foster just sizzle together and I could not get enough of their verbal sparring, witty banter and combustible sparks! The two have "romantically off limits” written all over them. Besides the fact that Kavanaugh is her boss, which means workplace fraternization is a strict no-no, these two are not, I repeat NOT, in the market for love. But the libido wants what the libido wants and it's so much fun seeing them try to cover their red hot lust for each other behind their jabs, insults and razor sharp barbs!
Their combative relationship takes a decidedly more serious turn when a dangerous ex from Noelle’s past rears his ugly head and threatens to destroy the brand new life she has worked very hard to forge in Fernandina Beach. The last thing she wants is to drag her infuriatingly sexy boss into her sordid mess but there is no way this take-charge ex Special Ops hero is gonna let the sultry blond spitfire fend for herself! Nope he will gladly jump into the fray to keep her safe at all costs! But who is gonna keep he safe from HIM--an emotionally closed off man who doesn't do commitments but still cannot manage to keep his hands off Noelle's gorgeous curves or resist her sweet temptation!!
Well, love is a battlefield with this tempestuous duo and it's only a matter of time before they raise the white flag and surrender their hearts!
There is nothing more alluring to me than a strong, commanding military man, and sighhhh…Foster Kavanaugh sure has it GOING ON!. Between his gorgeously ripped bod, rugged good looks and intimidating attitude, I am not ashamed in the least to say that he makes my princess parts tingle!! But there is so much more to him than has glorious physique and potent sex appeal! Beneath his macho bluster and grouchy boss from hell persona, there is so much depth and soul to him.
As a former Navy SEAL who has found a new way to serve his country by running a private security consulting firm, he employs mostly former military personnel to get the job done. He still suffers some psychological scars from his time in service but his wonderfully intuitive service dog Harley and his close knit inner circle of military veterans are a lifeline to him. But despite his enormous support system, he feels unworthy of love and prefers his no-strings attached love ‘em and leave ‘em lifestyle! In fact, he has a “three times a charm” rule:
"I don’t go any further than three “dates.” I keep it simple because I’m not that guy—the one who’s going to put a ring on it and wait for you at the end of the aisle."
But Noelle sees through his broody, hard as nails persona to the sweet, chivalrous man he keeps locked up tight and if there was anyone who could beach his iron defenses it’s her. Before long he finds himself wishing for the impossible. Too further complicate matters, the woman he secretly covets is just as gun-shy as him and has barricades around her wounded, vulnerable heart too. No matter how utterly delicious her 24/7 self-appointed protector is, the last thing she wants is to be his latest conquest.
"If I didn’t have all this damn “baggage” that, more now than ever before, would let me unpack and discard it once and for all, I would likely have been interested in Foster. Because, geez Louise… He’s delicious. But he’s a manwhore. I don’t want to simply be another notch on the man’s bedpost. I deserve better. My vajayjay, however, is a slut, and she wants Foster. Baaaaad."
But perhaps the prickly lady doth protest too much? After years in the trenches, scoping out his enemies, he has a good read on people and sees through her act too. His heart recognizes the scared, vulnerable woman behind the flippant comments and fiercely independent persona. The woman who makes him feel ALIVE again, rouses his every protective instinct, and who aches for his comforting touch as much as he aches for hers.
GAH! I just relished the push-pull and simmering sexual tension between Noelle and Foster! Their funny, fiery interactions are laced with so much genuine feeling and tender emotion that my heart was in my throat one moment and soaring with joy the next! I was not only entertained by this captivating romance but also deeply touched by the journey into emotional healing and romantic discovery they embarked on together. There is a fierce and powerful sense of rightness between them, a soul-deep connection that begins to whittle away at all the logical reasons why they are all wrong for each other!
"I can’t lie. I think about her. I think about Noelle Davis and what it would be like if I were that guy. If I were good enough for her. If I didn’t have a past haunting me."
Now if only these two impossibly headstrong people will get over their hang-ups and take a leap of faith!
I thought there was a nice balance of steamy interludes, heart-tugging romance, cute banter and exciting peril weaved throughout. As a former Navy wife, RC Boldt has unique insight into the military life and her sensitive depiction of the challenges former service men and women face as they transition back to civilian life was very commendable! I love the brotherly bond between Fos and his fellow Veterans, and found his gutwrenching grief over his fallen comrade Hensley, and the haunting memories of what he had to do and bear witness to during his deployment to be so raw and palpable it brought tears to my eyes.
On a lighter note, I FLOOOVED Harley, Foster's fiercely loyal service dog to pieces! Sweetest, most affectionate dog ever!! And the banter with the supporting players was a true highlight! The good natured ribbing with Foster, Doc, Kane, et al, and the brother-sister bickering between Fos and Laney, with their long suffering Momma K who was forced to play referee was also a riot!!! And last but certainly not least, the Karaoke nights with the gang were FANFREAKINGTASTIC!!
In closing, OUT OF LOVE was a hands down VICTORY in my book. There was never a dull moment that's for sure!! I laughed, cried, swooned and just plain loved the hell out of every hot, sexy, sigh-worthy moment in this feel-good romance!!! And squeee… I can’t wait to find out which uber-hunky ex Special Op is gonna be featured in RC Boldt’s highly anticipated follow-up novel, OUT OF THE ASHES!

Take one ex-SEAL with PTSD and commitment issues, throw in a girl who's being stalked by her ex and simultaneously secretly pining for said SEAL - and what do you get? This book. Full of angst, longing looks, and steamy passion. I've said it before - and it still rings true - I'm a big, fat sucker for anything SEAL-related. I realize the series will most likely focus on that circle of ex-military heroes, all from different branches, but I loved all of them equally. I believe the others in their security team have their own series, and I'll be looking into that. Hendy's book is next, and with him having to heal from being a POW in the Middle East, I'm buckling up my big-girl pants in preparation for a hurtin'.

"But how do you move on from someone that has your heart and won't give it back?"
I have found a new funny series that is in the military genre that I will happily and easily recommend to anyone that wants to laugh while reading about serious situations. RC has a way of putting you at ease while writing a deep storyline by adding in humor and having a "theme" with each book -- I love her quirky style of writing. I read Out of Love after I read Out of the Ashes, so some of the angst was quelled a bit because I knew what was going to sorta happen, but I seriously cannot wait for more in this series. Now that I am all caught up, I will be reading and pimping this series as each one comes out. My new favorite Military themed books, for sure!
With lighthearted fanfare, Noelle and Foster's love story comes with some deep and disturbing side effects....mainly a CrAzY past coming back to haunt her. I loved how protective Foster was over Noelle, but I loved seeing them fight something they thought was NOT supposed to happen. Again, with humor and sass, we got a love story that made me laugh out loud and smile throughout most of the entire book. I didn't want to put this book down and had a great time the entire time I was reading it. But in addition to all that, I got the much loved anxiety pangs. I love when a book makes my adrenaline go and my stomach get the butterflies.
"If only my heart could hurry up and get on board with this, too."
I honestly loved seeing Noelle and Foster both fight this undeniable pull between them though. It's like they were adamant that it wasn't going to happen, but then they they got caught up in the feelings causing them to be mentally slapped again. They were confused about right and wrong, good and bad, but their heart only knew one path while their mind was trying to take another path. I loved watching them maneuver this love. I love this series!!

With lighthearted fanfare, Noelle and Foster's love story comes with some deep and disturbing side effects....mainly a CrAzY past coming back to haunt her. I loved how protective Foster was over Noelle, but I loved seeing them fight something they thought was NOT supposed to happen. Again, with humor and sass, we got a love story that made me laugh out loud and smile throughout most of the entire book. I didn't want to put this book down and had a great time the entire time I was reading it. But in addition to all that, I got the much loved anxiety pangs. I love when a book makes my adrenaline go and my stomach get the butterflies.
"If only my heart could hurry up and get on board with this, too."
I honestly loved seeing Noelle and Foster both fight this undeniable pull between them though. It's like they were adamant that it wasn't going to happen, but then they they got caught up in the feelings causing them to be mentally slapped again. They were confused about right and wrong, good and bad, but their heart only knew one path while their mind was trying to take another path. I loved watching them maneuver this love. I love this series!!

What a sexy treat! Boldt’s cunning wit made me laugh out loud. But it was her superb writing skills that pulled me into Foster and Noelle’s story and didn’t let me go until the very last page. Thoroughly enjoyed my first book by Ms. Boldt!

Sexy and fun, yet angsty and dramatic, this is a story of two people with sizzling chemistry, and no interest in love, fighting against the inevitable. With great banter and some serious sexy time, it's a really heartfelt love story and I really enjoyed it.
This is my first book by R.C. Boldt and though it’s a standalone, it is linked in with Boldt’s Teach Me series, focussing on the same group of characters who all work and socialise with each other, and the couples from that series all feature in this book. If you’ve read Hard To Handle, this book is the story of heroine, Laney’s, brother, Foster.
Foster Kavanagh is an ex- Navy SEAL who runs his own security consulting firm. Noelle Davis is his office manager and there is a banter-filled love-hate thing going on between them. On the surface, they bicker and tease all day every day, but underneath there is a sizzling attraction that is begging to be let loose.
We learn from hints dropped in this book that Foster and Noelle’s chemistry has been simmering for a while now – a background tease in the Teach Me books – and when Noelle’s past catches up with her, putting her in very real and terrifying danger, it’s Foster that jumps in to protect her, putting the two of them on an inevitable path as everything between them begins to change.
Foster has been through hell while serving overseas. He is suffering PTSD from all that he did and saw in Iraq so he keeps his emotions to himself, not getting involved with the women he sleeps with and avoiding love at all costs. Noelle has been hurt badly in love, and she’s on a self-imposed hiatus from men, but Foster could be the man who breaks that. Except that he’s her boss which complicates everything. With all of that stacked against them, they’re not in for an easy time, but the chemistry between them cannot be denied and as they put the bantering aside and open up to each other, their barriers start to fall.
I enjoyed the progression of the relationship between Foster and Noelle. It’s a case of one step forward, two steps back, but it builds the anticipation as the UST becomes more and more intense. And all of that chemistry translates effortlessly into the bedroom and the sexy time is absolutely sizzling!
We get lots of detail of their time together as they fall and fall hard – fighting it all the way – and though there are issues holding them both back, those moments where they let their tenderness and vulnerabilities show were really beautiful.
I really loved Noelle. Her strength was amazing and I loved that she was brave enough to open her heart to Foster after all that she had been through, yet she still stood up for herself and what she needed and didn’t let anybody walk all over her. And Foster is a wonderfully complex character. His feelings for Noelle are intense (and entertainingly possessive) but are complicated by the traumas of his past which leads to all sorts of issues for them. The drama is realistic and handled well (though I did think that Foster’s inner monologue got a bit repetitive at times), but it adds a nice intensity to the story.
I really enjoyed meeting the extended group of characters. They are all very close and I love the camaraderie and banter between the boys.
And their constant teasing about the state of play between Foster and Noelle is hilarious!
From what I can gather, all of the side characters are from the Teach Me series. There’s a number of them, and I did get a bit lost trying to remember who was with who and how they all tied together, but they were background characters and it didn’t impact on Foster and Noelle’s story - this book can easily be read on its own. (But on a side note – I am curious to go back and read the stories of this intriguing bunch). There are hints of more stories to come and I’m curious to see who gets the next book and whether we get answers to a potentially twisty storyline that threads throughout the book.
I enjoyed this story. It’s a really great mix of sweet, sexy, dramatic, funny and romantic with a chemistry-filled romance and lots of great banter, flirting and teasing. I wasn’t invested in the story as I probably would have been had I read the earlier books and experienced more of the build up, but this was still a great read that left me with a smile on my face.

What do you get when you cross a fiercely independent, snarky office manager with a former military turned government security expert? Oh just the awesomeness that is RC Boldt's Out of Love.
This novel was fantastic! It can be considered both an office and military romance as the story incorporates both aspects nicely. In addition, the actual mystery was great and the fabulous extended cast of characters, combustible chemistry between the hero/heroine and sexual banter all combined into the perfect icing on the cake.
One word that best describes Foster Kavanaugh (btw how amazing is that name?!) is SOLID. He is 1000% solid, dependable and protective and despite having a brusque and smartass personality, has a heart of gold. His no-nonsense, somewhat cold attitude hides the warm and beating heart of a wounded warrior who is still trying to find his footing after coming home from tours of duty overseas. Add to that a heroine, Noelle Davis, who is snarky as heck and gives as good as she gets and you have a winning combination.
This was my first RC Boldt novel but it definitely won't be my last. I look forward to reading more from her in the future. ~ Ratula, 4 Stars

Out of Love was a cute friends to lovers romance novel. The author does a good job with the friendship between Noelle and Foster. The beginning of the book was mostly focused in the friendship aspect. At times, it seemed that they weren't going to break free from being friends and coworkers. Both were afraid to share their true feelings. I understand that neither wanted to hurt the other but it was becoming a but taxing on the reader.
Foster , Noelle and the other characters, used their humour and quick wit to keep the book interesting and the story moving. I could see these characters easily portrayed in the real world.
As cute as the characters were, the storyline wasn't anything new. I was hoping for some new twist to this drama suspense romance novel. It was uneventful but I was longing for more from this aspect of the book.

R.C. Boldt is an author who loves to have characters pop up throughout her books, and this has resulted in me wanting to read all her work. In truth, I would have read them all anyway – I love her writing and stories, they ensure I want more – but the fact characters pop up regularly helped to direct me towards which Boldt book I would read next.
After reading and enjoying Too Good at Goodbyes, I was left curious about Foster Kavanaugh. Thus, Out of Love became my next R.C. Boldt read. Although I adored this one, a part of me wishes I’d read the Teach Me series first. There are so many characters in this one I was curious about, and I wish I’d read their stories first. Not that it took away from this one, I simply would have liked to read things in order. Of course, it just means as soon as I’ve finished reading Out of the Ashes I’m going to go and read the Teach Me series.
Despite my desire to have read the Teach Me series to know more about the side characters, Out of Love was a wonderful read. It is not my favourite R.C. Boldt read – there were elements in this one I would have liked to see developed a bit more – but it contains the usual Boldt goodness. I was grinning and laughing at many points, I was hit with all the feels, and had to devour this one. It pulls you right in, keeping you hooked throughout.
Add in the fact there are side characters whose stories have yet to be told, and I know the Out of… series is going to be another addictive series from R.C. Boldt.

You know how sometimes when you finish a book you just want to wrap all the characters in a fierce group hug?

Just me? (Liars!)
But seriously though. I want to squish Foster and Noelle so hard. This book started off with some emotional punches that gave the book a little bit of a heavier feel than I was expecting - but it worked. It sucked me right in and kept my heart on edge. Fans of the Teach Me series are in for a real treat and may feel this one a little deeper than someone new to the series. However, I do think it works as a standalone. And don’t get me wrong, it’s not a heavy book – it’s light and funny and full of swoons. Just heavier than I expected.
I freaking ADORED both Foster and Noelle. They took turns edging each other out for who was my favorite. They're both so strong and kind and funny. Both so heartbreakingly damaged. I loved everything about who they were when they were together - the nature of their relationship and how it evolved. I feel like Ms. Boldt has a knack for perfectly executing the magic in ordinary activities and recognizing that sometimes those moments are the most romantic of all.
I also feel like both Foster and Noelle were pretty fantastic in their own right. I loved the scenes we got highlighting their friendships, and the support system that surrounds them. I feel like they both did a lot of growing over the course of this book, and it was handled eloquently in an almost inspiring way. These are strong characters - strong of heart, strong of spirit, and strong of body. It was impossible not to cheer them on or to, say, fall crazy in love with them and want to wrap them up in a fierce group hug.
I loved it. If you're new to Ms. Boldt's writing, I don't think you'll be disappointed. If you've been along for the ride since the Teach Me series, I think you're in for a major treat. And if you're me -- you're just warming up your grabby hands for what Ms. Boldt has in store for us next. ~ Shelly, 5 Stars

Noelle has escaped her past and now has a job that affords her some security. Well, lots of security. She works for former SEALS in their Security Company. That doesn't insure she is secure though, no she is definitely in danger from the boss man.
Foster is the former SEAL now sexy boss. He has been a total man-whore and the only thing he fears is commitment. But his curvy new employee has him reconsidering his ways.
While Noelle and Foster both have pasts that make them want to avoid a relationship, they can't deny their attraction even to themselves. When Noelle is put in danger, Foster and his boys jump in to make sure she is safe.
That's what love is all about. It's all a game of risk.

Out of Love is the newest book by RC Boldt. Like other books by this author it contains a great leading couple and a group of friends and family as secondary characters. Out of Love tells the story of Foster Kavanaugh, who we’ve met briefly in ‘the Teach Me series’ by the same author. This book can be read as a standalone, but I’m glad I have some background information since I read the other series not so long ago.
Foster Kavanaugh is a former SEAL who now owns his own security firm. On his payroll are all former military guys who share his believes and ethics. Foster has seen a lot throughout his military years, things that can alter a man for good. Since he doesn’t do love and commitment, Foster spends his nights with hookups when he feels the need. But lately Foster can’t stop thinking about a certain woman, his office manager Noelle. He knows he’s no good for her (or so he believes) but he can’t stay away.
Noelle Davis has started over. After her last boyfriend turned out to be a sociopath she moved away with the help of the few friends she had left. She enjoys working for Foster and the banter between them, but Noelle starts to see Foster as more, more than just her boss. And that is something she doesn’t want since she knows all about his way with the ladies and don’t forget.. He’s her boss.. But when her past catches up with Noelle, Foster is the first one she calls.
Foster and Noelle spend a lot of time together: they work closely to each other at the office and in the out of the office they share the same friends. When Noelle started working for Foster, he quickly found out she isn’t easily insulted and isn’t afraid of calling him out. And that’s how they fill their days; with friendly insults, funny banter and hard work. Foster and Noelle are attracted to each other, but don’t act on it.
All changes when a ghost from Noelle past comes knocking on her door. Foster’s protective side takes over and Noelle doesn’t even get the chance to say no. Slowly, Foster and Noelle begin a ‘relationship’, but especially Foster has a hard time wrapping his head around the idea he is what Noelle needs. This is a romance book so of course the couple sees the light and ends up together.
While Out of Love starts as a funny, easy read, it becomes more serious when Noelle’s past catches up with her. I was a bit upset with her for not telling Foster sooner what was going on; she knows she can trust him and security is his livelihood… Foster was a bit frustrating as well, it takes him a long time before he can admit he loves Noelle and that he deserves love, despite his past. At the moment, Out of Love is a standalone book, but the author has left some story lines open. I hope they will result in future books.
I’ve enjoyed reading Out of Love, I give the story of Noelle and Foster 4 stars.

I was a bit upset with her for not telling Foster sooner what was going on; she knows she can trust him and security is his livelihood… Foster was a bit frustrating as well, it takes him a long time before he can admit he loves Noelle and that he deserves love, despite his past. At the moment, Out of Love is a standalone book, but the author has left some story lines open. I hope they will result in future books.
“Hey,” I whisper softly. “I love you.” “For real?” she whispers in return. “For real.” The brightness of her smile does something to me and I don’t think there’s anything I wouldn’t do to ensure that smile stays in place.”

OK! Where has RC been all my life? Here is my list of why I need to know this:
1. The main female led moved from Destin – (that’s where I live)
2. Reference to Tim Tebow … yes
3. A Belgian Malinois service dog and the mention of an organization in southeastern FL that provides these beauties to Veterans … absolutely.
4. Respect for the military and the life changing events that mold their paths … darn right.
I could go on forever as to why I absolutely loved this book but if I did you would have probably a five page review. And why else am I gushing .. this is my first read by RC. Of course I have already downloaded the series that Out of Love is connected to intertwining characters so GO ME!

Foster is the owner of TriShield Protection in Fernandina Beach. Noelle is his assistant who is off limits. Now I know what you are thinking .. boss and secretary forbidden fling .. blah blah blah .. NOPE. This is a fantastic written storyline that has much more depth then that. This is a group of former military men taking their brotherhood into civilian life along with the images in the sand that still run through their head on constant repeat continuing to give back to their country.
Miller Vaughn, Roman Doc Watts, Langley Lee Ford, Kane Windam – I instantly fell head over heels hard for these men and the lone woman – My heart also plummeted around the storyline of Hendy. Im telling you 6 percent into the story you will be completely submerged into this book. The secondary characters are just as good as Foster and Noelle – Ty Dennison, Laney and Zach, Mac and Raine, Momma K … Harley – I feel like I don’t have enough words or the correct words to write a review that gives you just a glimmer of this remarkable group.
There are a multitude of storylines written into Out of Love. Most important and the center of this book is the darkness of PTSD and abuse. Foster is fighting dreams and images at night while Noelle is hiding from a man who dulled her sparkle. The banter between the friends is comical, kind, and shows the love each of these men and the women have for each other. The brilliance in RC’s writing comes from shining a light onto two issues taken too lightly in our society. Its light hearted but pointed. It carries depth and weight but opens your heart. It shows the vulnerability in both situations and how it destroys the strength in a once tough individual.
If I could I would read this one over and over and then again and another time until the pages were tattered and torn. IM MORE THAN A FAN. Not only is the book marvelous but RC includes links, phone numbers and resources to get help or get yourself or someone you know out of an abusive relationship as well as those with PTSD – you are not alone – reach out – if you know someone with PTSD extend your hand. Do not allow our men and women who fought for us to lose themselves. If you have ever known anyone who fights these demons you will understand .. I certainly do. In fact as I write this Im wearing my “22 A Day” hoodie.
I know I didn’t say much about the events in the story but you all that know me know that I usually don’t. I look at the characters, the writing, the way the story flows – and let me tell you this one is flawless. This is a MUST READ. Im off to begin Wildest Dream (Teach Me Book 1) ..
By the way we also get a taste of Clam Jam coming in 2017. Its on my list … Im waiting. PLUS .. yes I stalked her page .. Out of the Ashes is next plus 3 additional “Out of” books … bring them on!

I have to admit I never expected to be prejudiced towards a book, but to say I was skeptical when I started Out of Love by RC Boldt is putting it lightly. I was sure I had the book pegged from the beginning. We are all familiar with the classic set-up with the over-the-top alpha military hero who needs to save his woman (before she even is his), baby this and baby that. Well, it turns out, I was meant to be taught the lesson of “don’t judge a book by its blurb”, cause this book took my prejudice and expectations and threw them out the window. Despite the fact that this is a military romance with an alpha, this book is everything but that classic set-up.
Out of Love stars Foster Kavanaugh, who is a former Navy SEAL, has started a security-consulting firm along with a few other veterans. He is an alpha male, but so much more than that. He is very conflicted based on his past actions, and it worried that these actions will stop him from getting what he wants. The person he wants is his office manager Noelle Davis. She is beautiful, sassy, and in trouble…
As stated earlier, this book is very different, in the best possible way, from the standard military romance. It is great to witness a hero, who despite his exterior, is not a cocky SOB, but as someone lives with some of the same doubts as the rest of us. Noelle is the girl, we all dream of being. Her strength is her best quality, she might be in trouble but she doesn’t want to be treated differently for it. I really loved her, but the showstopper really was Foster. I love books with dual POVs since it provides insights in both characters, and what we saw inside Foster’s showed a man who is strong, funny and a little self-deprecating, but with a soft side.
This book was so well written, I did not want to put it down. The storyline is somewhat predictable, but that is the way with romance, but the underlying plotline is so intriguing, I cannot wait to see where this story will go, so I can say with certainty that RC Boldt just made a new fan with this book.
However, I have to admit, I was a little confused some times, there were several side characters and I had a tough time keeping track of them all, which is a real shame. But I expect we will meet in future books, which hopefully will help clear up my confusion. But this is not enough to not give this the 5 star rating it deserves.

Foster Kavanaugh doesn’t believe he is worthy of love. Constant nightmares from his time as a Navy Seal prevent him from believing he can be what any woman needs.
Even if his office manager Noelle is sexy and beautiful; he just can’t let himself fall for her.
Noelle is done with men. She has moved to a new town and found a new job she loves. She needs to leave her past behind.
Unfortunately her past has caught up to her and the only man able to save her is her gorgeous as hell boss. No matter how handsome he is, he is off limits.
When Noelle’s past pushes her and Foster closer together, their brewing feelings explode. Life is too short to not try to feel love, even if they both get hurt in the end.
This was a great story. I loved the banter between Noelle and Foster. I also loved the connection between them; it sure made for some steamy love scenes!
I definitely recommend this book to read. I really hope there is another one to follow as there are still some unanswered questions regarding one of Foster’s friends.

Out of Love is the story of two people who believe that they are meant to be alone, even though they feel the connection.
The development of the characters is spot on; she included a touch of humor that had me giggling and at times laughing. The banter that existed between Noelle and Foster is one that would be found within the military (Foster is prior military). I thoroughly enjoyed crawling into the lives of the characters.
I am looking forward to reading additional books in the “Out of….” Series.

The book is about Noel, who works for Foster. Foster is a former military veteran full of trauma and brokenness, and Noel was hurt by a relationship she had to escape from.
The book was good, I won't lie about that, but I think it lacked a bit of depth. They didn't talk much about Foster's trauma in the book, only briefly, and they gave Noel a little glimpse of it as well.
From a romantic perspective, the book was excellent, it was sexy, you could see that they loved each other.

This book was so goooooood. I had a book hangover the rest of the day...
Foster Kavanaugh, ex-marine runs a security firm (thats shouts Alpha right there) and Noelle works for him. He is a manwhore, in his own words, but is insanely attracted to his office manager. Forbidden!!!
Noelle has secrets which she hides under a tough, sassy cover. When her past finally catches up to her, Foster is there to support and keep her safe.
The attraction was always there, they take time owning up to their passion but when they do give in, its Hot!! My favorite bit about this book was their inner monologue. Oh absolutely hilarious. I mean they are literally screwed keeping their attraction hidden from the other and almost everyone around them knows but them.
The whole crew was superbly funny, Foster tried to keep up his macho image, but was basically a putty in Noelle's hands. Loved it!!!

I liked this book and I really, really like this author. I liked both main characters and enjoyed the free flow of the book. This book deserves a better review but I'm running out of time to add. Check this book out and check out Clam Jam by the same author. Very sweet

From beginning to end I couldn't put this book down and simply devour it in a few short hours. I love the writting style that RC uses, she just keeps you drawed in and making you want more and more.
Foster and Noelle have chemistry from the start and the secondary characters I'm hoping we get books for them too. I love all the teist, turns and surprises this book had and at the end I was wanting so much more.
This was my first book by RC but will not be my last.

Out of Love is a bit of a slow burn romance. It is loaded with fun, flirty, sexy and some really funny banter. But that is not all it is. I really enjoyed that this was also a swoony ROMANTIC story!
