At 35, Jill is still waiting for the elusive man of her dreams to come into her life. With a failed relationship behind her, she decides not to spend Thanksgiving with her family in order to avoid the usual endless questions of when she is going to get herself a man and settle down like her sisters. Predictably her mother is hurt and disappointed, so Jill tells a lie, saying she is going to spend Thanksgiving with a guy she has recently met. It is one lie that turns into reality because Jill meets a man on the plane - and not only is he a handsome airline pilot, he is also single! Romance blossoms. The two enjoying skiing and spending time together, and Jill finds out that Derek is an old fashioned kind of guy who enjoys spanking - an activity she quickly learns to enjoy too. After a whirlwind courtship, Derek proposes marriage. Jill accepts, and things go well until the appearance of psychotic stalker Penny Haslip, a woman who is out to wreck Jill's new found happiness. But all's well that ends well, and Jill really is flying high with a wonderful future ahead.
