Twenty-one-year-old law student student Charlotte Holloway isn’t the type of girl to lust after things she can’t have. But when she starts working for the sexy and mysterious Noah Cutler, Charlotte can’t help but dream about the gorgeous billionaire, even though she knows it’s just a fantasy. Men like Noah – gorgeous, dark, and driven-- usually aren’t interested in women like her.
Noah Cutler is a man who doesn’t take no for an answer. His drive to go after exactly what he wants has made him one of the most powerful men in the city. And while he could have his pick of any woman, his sights are set on Charlotte. And he won’t stop until he’s taken control of every inch of her deliciously curvy body…
*An alpha billionaire romance, perfect for fans of Cassie Cross and J.S. Scott*
Hmmm... still don't know much about Noah other than he might have killed someone.. but highly unlikely I'm thinking. I'm glad this is series is on Kindle Unlimited though because at .99 a pop this would be an expensive series for such short books.. Author needs to bundle these for sure.
Nothing really happens in this one, except that Charlotte meet Noah and Worthington at the police station, Noah throws a hissy fit and we learn a tiny bit about Noah's past.
And there's some steamy sex in the limo.
My issue is that there's not enough here to criticize, except that what was written had missing words and typos. Sloppy.
I enjoyed this because there was some mystery long with a hope to be romance beginning between law student Charlotte and Noah(tall dark handsome mysterious). It will be interesting to see how this series plays out.
When I read the blurb to this book I was intrigued and yeah it happened again I did not notice the page number – and please all fellow readers do me a favor – CHECK THE PAGENUMBERS – if you have the chance before you purchase a book. I did not do that and imagine my surprise this is not a book – no if you ask me it is not even a novella or a short story – if I am being nice I might say it’s a chapter of a book.
What bugs me the most is that the plot is interesting – but could I recommend it ? Well I would have to give you a very separated opinion which makes it very hard to give a rating. If you have kindle unlimited I would say GO for it – because it is good BUT the author keeps squeezing the last out of it and the more the “chapters” (so far its at NO 24) continue the more it feels like she is dragging it out- so I am not sure where we are going.
BUT if you are a normal reader buying book by book – I will say something I never said before …. Even though this book is good – STAY AWAY FROM buying it – sorry – but so far 24 “books” in – you would have paid more than 80 $ for around 1200 pages that would equal around 4 normal books … meaning you paid more than 20$ for one ebook …. And when was the last time you did that ? To support my opinion I opened the main kindle books page on amazon and searched randomly for the most expensive eBook there it was “The silent Corner” by Dean Koontz for 17$ and it has 466 pages (while I was calculating with 300) and I would never buy that kindle book because the hardcover of that book listed right beside it was CHEAPER than the eBook which is also something I can never understand as printing a physical book – with all side costs - should make a book more expensive than an electronical file. But that is an ongoing story for another time. But lets face the facts a random ebook of average page count costs less than 10 $ and in most cases even less than 5$.
The story is good yes but it is not THAT good that I could encourage a purchase with this pricing structure. Especially with no end in sight this feels like one of those collection / construction sets you can buy where you receive parts each week for a few bucks and you think “its not that much” but once you finish the collection (and you have no idea when that might be) you realize that you paid like 500$ for something that you needed to put together on your own while others bought the finished product for less than half …But naturally at first that “half” sounded like a lot and it seemed so much cheaper to spend only those tiny amounts ….
Even with as good as that story is I refuse to support this new system of chapter books that seems to be getting more and more popular by only reviewing this book based on its story. Everything about a book matters and the price is a big part of a book. So without “kindle unlimited” I can not recommend this book.
This is getting good more mystery in this one we still don’t really know much about Noah apart from he is tall dark and handsome. Really getting into them now. I am just glad I have these on KU as this series could get a little bit expensive and they are very very short. But I am enjoying the storyline yes they may be short but they do leave you wanting more.
So far I'm not a fan of the H, he acts like a disrespectful jerk. Now we're cuing in the whole dom/sub trope into the series. I don't mind that as long as it's done right and I don't enjoy men treating women like they're nothing but meat bags to walk all over. Guess we'll see how our H does, but I don't have high hopes for him so far.
Everyone, if you want authors to stop writing 'serials that only have two or three chapters at a time' STOP buying them!!!
These books have a lot of potential. I wish there were more POVs from Noah. Sorry if this is a spoiler, but the story kinda reads like a B-list 50 shades of grey. I actually have not read those books, but from the description from my friends, I get the sense the What He Wants series follows a similar line...handsome billionaire, innocent, young woman. Etc. but I still enjoy these books. I'll keep reading.
Love the series, I think Hannah Ford makes these stories too short, but they are interesting and keep you wanting to read more. This is the first time I started reading Hannah Ford’s stories, but I will only buy them through Amazon Unlimited because they are short stories and I refuse to pay for approx. 33 pages. I love the characters of Charlotte Halloway and Noah Cutter. There is intrigue, mystery, and the storyline is really developing. I cannot wait to read book 3.
Ok now Charlotte and Noah can't get enough of each other. But Charlotte now knows a little bit more info of the the case she is working on. Things are not looking good for Noah. So what happens next? So far the book ends with cliff hangers. Keeps us as readers wanting more.
Storyline progresses slowly but surely, can't make a verdict yet. Seems like there is few books written in 25 page increments, don't understand why the author did not combine the whole story into one book? On to the next one, let's see what happens at the Club.
As I expected, the drama did pick up in the second book. This is a great erotic series so far, and I only see it getting better. The heroine Charlotte seem like a smart girl, I wonder if she will be the one to solve the murder case? I am also curious as to how she will react to being in a particular type of club.
My choice of one star is too much, but I want other readers to be aware. Do not go further, find a different series that is complete. This is totally about $ it's cruel and unkind to string something out this long and they're really not even that good, I mean , please give it a break already.
Very steamy and story makes me curious about the end!
Charlotte finds out she is going to work for Noah but still gets involved with him and she finds out what kind of stuff he is into, going to a bdsm club with him even though she is afraid he might be a murderer!
I liked this book series there is so much going on did he or didn't he murder them girls! Charlotte is addictive to Noah that's for sure she is willing to do everything in her power to save him! But from what? Bring on the next book!
I enjoyed the second installment of this series, it is making me ask more questions and making me want to continue reading the series. I am not sure how much I am going to like Noah or if he is just going to irritate me... we shall see...
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Charlotte has more on here plate than your normal law school student. Can she trust her friend Josh another law school student. What about her roommate Julia ? Then there is Noah and her trust issues with him. Hot Hot sex !
Rushed and not interesting enough to read the next part. Had no real connection to the characters because there simply wasn't enough to go on. Very disappointed
