Aaah, love. Some people will do anything for it. Some may go through elaborate lengths to prove to someone that they love them. In Part 1 of Drunk Weekend in Vegas, Asaad learnt exactly that. Realizing that she lost the man she loves, Asaad's ex took extreme measures to win him back...she puts him under a love spell. In Part 2 The Finale, we see if Asaad's spell can be broken because the true love of his life is not his ex, It's Janelle. The woman he accidentally got married to in Las Vegas. Time is running out, and something must be done to break Asaad free of what his ex has done to him. In this spell casting finale, we see what happens with Asaad, Janelle and Ahmad. Will Asaad and Janelle be able to find their way back to each other? Or will his sneaky ex win and have her way?
Once again, I really wish I could’ve seen the love story on page. I have no idea why Assad and Janelle fell in love because we never actually got the falling — just the aftermath. We got drama, plenty of it, and resolutions to said drama… but even that had ex and ex momma looking a little unhinged. Honestly, I would’ve liked to see more of her crazy instead of it being told to me.
Now the Haitian brothers? Oh, they need a spin off immediately. I can feel the story bubbling over there.
Ahmad and Eli… whew. Their situation needed way more development to justify the energy this book gave it.
Overall, it was okay. Not terrible, not amazing. Just 3 stars.
What an amazing ride this has been. As a fan of Candy Moore she has never disappointed and this is series was no different. Assad and Ahmad are true alpha men. I loved how they have matured and found their “person”. Samira was dealt a wicked hand in the end, but this is what happened when you do dirt and her momma was no better. Christopher is an entire mess and was happy that Assad handled him appropriately. I love how the brothers were 10 toes down for each other. If Candy decided to write another book about the other characters, I’m all in. Amazing job, Candy!!!!
I was so waiting on this book! And baby boy did she deliver! Ok girl momma was the true definition of delusional. She just refused to see the part she played in everything that took place. I was starting to feel like they couldn’t catch a break. I would love a book on the three brothers I was intrigued I can’t even lie.
As a Bajan American, what I appreciated most is how accurate the storyline is. The character development was unique and satisfying. The plot was thicker than cold cornmeal porridge! Overall, I love Candy Moore’s catalog and I hope she continues to integrate Caribbean culture in this gritty yet fun way.
Girl I was saying why she leave us hanging like that lol yes ma’am we need to know all that maybe it’s his lover that he was talking about and crazy one and two might try something else cause how you doing spells in the hospital proves how crazy you are I can’t wait to see what happens next
Candy Moore you give us a glimpse inside another culture every time you pen and I love it! This story was different from your normal weekend in Vegas! I would love to here from the three Haitians and even from the wild brothers that made all this happen. I feel like they would be funny! Keep pen pushing! 10/10 ⭐️
As a fellow trinidad 🇹🇹 who is a voracious reader I'm glad I was recommended to your book. It was a bit nostalgic to read about a lot of the things you see and here about growing up. I dont thinknwe need a part 3 they have been through too much f...her mother and Miguel lol
This was a wild, wild ride. I am so satisfied with the conclusion of this book. There was a ton of mess & drama at the end of part one; Samira, her momma, pissy Christopher, plus all of Ahmad’s mess.. I feel like we resolved all of those issues. Our MCs got their happy ending.. or beginning, depending on how you look at it. lol
This was a great series. Haven't been to Vegas yet, can't wait either. We about to do some crazy thang as well. But Kennedy's Brothers was the best. Samira had her mom to mess her up. Where was her Dad? Janelle fought to get her husband back. Eli did the best thing ever toward her hubby.
Can we get the 3 Haitian brother’s story?! lol just thought I’d ask lol. Anywho, this was a great read. I enjoyed these two books. I was nervous at first, but it all worked out.
This book was awesome! I would love to see Elizabeth, Henri and Janelle go at Miguel’s and Samiras mother and brothers! You know switch it up a bit and have her parents and the Haitians mom work her magic
This series had me from the beginning to the end! The accidental wedding, the witchcraft, the crazy exes, was awesome! Samira karma was crazy and her Mother is insane. Like foreal. I’m glad everything worked out for Janelle and Assad their love is crazy and I loved it
Loved the way Assad cared for Janelle. Also like how the story flowed so effortlessly. Yes I would most definitely like to read a part 3. Something tells me the the lover of Miguel and samirah mother gonna give them hell. Lol
Enjoyed this 2 part series from start to finish. Assad was a sweetheart and very funny when it came to Janelle. Ahmad was smart but never listened to his own advice. Cookie and Leshana were great friends . I love the friendship the girls had.
This book was great! I love the fact that Asaad and Janelle found their way back to each other after what Samira and her mom did to them and how Christopher almost killed Janelle thinking she was Asaad. I was a bit skeptical about Eli but she really did care for Ahmad so I was glad they worked out! Everyone found their love and are happy!!
What a good ending to such a wild ride…..it definitely got me wondering though is this really the end. Glad my girl J got her happily ever after, she deserved it!!
This was a perfect ending to Assad and Janelle! They were crazy and overcame a lot!!!! I would to get a book at his brother and his girl. He is crazy and funny af!
I absolutely adored this book! 🔥🔥 Candy Moore offers a fascinating look into a different culture with every novel, and I love that depth. Love always conquers all and it definitely did in this finale. Assad and Janelle definitely had to overcome the love spell in order to find their way back to each other. They were married by accident but were actually soul mates. Ahmad finally got his revenge and woman as well after overcoming so much. The story gave a unique spin on a Vegas weekend adventure, feeling fresh and exciting. I’d love to hear more from the Haitian characters and the wild brothers— their perspective sounds entertaining. Great read.
