As a dedicated E.R. nurse at Wyoming Mercy Medical, there isn’t much Daphne hasn’t seen: sickness, broken bones, and hunting accidents. But when a little boy is admitted one dark night after barely surviving a vicious animal attack, Daphne’s world is suddenly turned upside down. Whatever did this to him is a monster – a vicious creature threatening not just her town but the very fabric of morality, humanity itself…it is evil.
And as Daphne holds the hand of the boy she and the doctors couldn’t save, she sees a brief mental image of black fur and white fangs. Little does she know, she is playing right into the hands of fate -- even more so when she finds herself irresistibly drawn to a man with raven-black hair, one of the strange, rough men who have invited themselves to her town.
The blood moon prophecy unfolds.
The power of the blood moon will turn Damon's people mad, as the prophecy foretells. During its rise and fall his men must fight the urge to shift, the desire to turn wolf, the need to kill, but when one of the men goes crazy, escapes, and terrorizes Timber Springs, Damon must stop him at all costs.
But the rogue wolf isn’t after the people of Timber Springs. He only wants Daphne. He must be stopped, but no one knows how…
This is the second book in two days that I wouldn't have finished if I hadn't been reading it for a challenge. It was not good.
There was no character development. The whole Blood Moon things was poorly explained. I felt no chemistry between the characters. The heroine was a May Sue that all the men seemed to want. And OMFG the TSTL stunts she pulled darned near drove me to distraction! The editing was a mess. The sex scenes went on forever and weren't very good.
Every once in a while a phrase would turn just right and dazzle me, but they were few and far between. All-in-all, I have little praise for the book.
"Show, don't tell" is a lesson this author should take to heart. Content editing should be improved to correct malapropisms and other errors.. But the writing is lyrical and the story engaging.
This was the first book I've read by Ms. Ryan, but it won't be the last!!! Another different, yet awesome take on wolves and shifting :) The story-line is totally different than any I've read before, which keeps the reader engaged and the pages turning! ... Hot, sexy scenes with well developed characters, some you'll love and others you'll hate ;) Plenty of suspense with twists and turns that will keep you glued to your seat wanting more! ... I can't wait to get my hands on the next book by this new talented author :)
This book had so much potential, what happened? Nothing is clearly explained. I didn't feel the chemistry between the hero and the heroine, it is just non existent. They "love" each other but.... WHY?
Again, this book had LOADS of potential but the author did not achieve it. I'm sad to say I forced myself to get to the "end". I'm not very sure I'll continue on to the next books.
I enjoyed this book. The only downfall was that it was part of a series. I fell in like with the main characters and wanted to see how the story progressed, but at times, the heroine was getting on my nerves for being a little bit simple. The intimate scenes were my favorite though. Nice read.
Of all the shifter books I've read, I've never had a twist like this involving the moon in this sense. Looking forward to how this story plays out in the next book.
I really liked this book. I know how hard the dynamic of liking someone who has an attraction that you can't return. I find it never works out, especially if they don't let it go knowing your not interested. I liked that Damon seems like he has layers. I look forward to reading more.
this book was captivating from the very first page and didn't let up until the end. I loved the characters and the scenes. It held my interest all the way through. It was like watching a very good movie. For those who enjoy the supernatural it is a must read.
I got this book free in exchange for an honest review. I liked this book but not loved. It seemed kind of rushed and wasn't as developed as it could have been. The plot was good and the characters were likable but just not enough background on them. Overall a good story.
loved this read, yes it needs some editing help but still a great read. Shifters, suspense and plenty of action all the way through. reccomended for ages 14 and up
