Most people don't start a new job expecting to fall in love, but sometimes feelings bloom when you least expect them. Gina has packed up her life and moved away to chase her dream of performing. She thinks drama belongs onstage, but she is about to learn that performers can be just as dramatic behind the scenes. Joining a cast of seasoned theme park entertainers, Gina quickly goes from outsider to part of their tight-knit family. But it does not take long for the cracks to show. Rumors swirl, loyalties shift, friendships fracture, and Gina finds herself caught in the middle; she is pulled in different directions as she tries to prove herself, protect her heart, and turn this new place into a home. In a world where every smile is part of the show, Gina must figure out who she can trust, and who might be hiding a little too well behind their character.
Showtime: A Workplace Novella is a fun, engaging quick read that I easily finished in one sitting. From the start, the pacing pulled me in, and it had that just one more chapter feel that makes a novella especially satisfying.
The workplace setting paired with a performance-focused backdrop made the story especially enjoyable and relatable. Having spent a lot of time on stage myself, I really appreciated how accurately the story captured the energy, pressure, and unique dynamics that come with performing while also navigating everyday work and relationships. It’s an entertaining novella that delivers just the right amount of romance and charm in a short format.
This is the second book I’ve read by this author, and I’m now following her on Amazon so I don’t miss future releases.
