Season three of leaving the rat race for a life
A continuing attempt at early retirement in Bulgaria
A darkly funny, feel good memoir, a true adventure ride through mistranslations, bad decisions, accidental damage, absurd loss and personal growth, all stubbornly endured in a desirable new location with heroic levels of optimism… and opiates.
Proof that sometimes the only way forward is through the mud… Preferably on two wheels.

Graham is a compulsive traveller, with a compelling manner of brutal honesty of integrity. His books are authentic experiences from his 37 years of diaries, kept as he's meandered around the planet from foot to bicycle, to motorbike to four wheels.

Travel on his mind, bikes in his blood and little in his wallet, Graham's low budget journeys of humour and honesty have inspired many to hit the road in search of their dreams. A solo traveller at heart, his observations take his readers with him to Mongolia, Iraq, the Arctic Circle and many other distant destinations.

With a life time of travel anecdotes and hard earned wisdom, Graham's view of the planet is unique and contagious.

Graham is the author of eight books, which are all available as audiobooks. Twice nominated as 'most inspiring adventurer' by Adventure Bike TV. He was a resident co-host on Adventure Rider Radio RAW for five years with Sam Manicom and Grant Johnson of Horizons Unlimited. He has written articles for various publications worldwide.

This might be the fastest I've ever read a book - another page turner by Graham! His books are so easy to read, so entertaining and honest and this one is no different. Buckle up for another installment of Graham's life in Bulgaria! I'm already looking forward to the next book...

What an absolute find. If you’re into travel books written around motorcycles, and real life views and experiences, then you’ll love this book. In a sea of mediocre musings from people whose anecdotes and jokes are forced and unfunny, this writer stands out as real and relatable. The only thing I would say is this is book 3 in a series, so definitely get it, but I’d totally recommend starting with Near Varna which is the first book in the series. They’re just brilliant and absolutely best in class for anyone who likes motorcycles and adventures. Think Ted Simon and Elspeth Beard and he’s in that category. If you don’t know who they are then you have a fantastic life experience awaiting you, so get all their books. No thanks needed, my pleasure.

Great read, I’ve just finished Graham Field’s latest book and very enjoyable it was too, I’ve read all of his books over recent years and enjoyed every one of them. I’ve purchased many motorcycle travel related books over the years but I enjoy Graham’s style of writing more than most, I find his quirky (hope that’s the right word 😀) straightforward story telling very engaging which is great for me personally as I have a short concentration span and I’m usually not the quickest of readers but with his books I can almost binge read them, which is nice. Already looking forward to his next book. Cheers. Keith.

If you enjoyed Graham's earlier books (I've read them all!) then you'll love this one too. There are plenty of books about overland motorcycle travels (I've read most of them...), which tell you about the journey but not much about the personal experience of the author. Graham's books stand out because of their brutal honesty about how he felt at the time - which he recorded in his diary when it was fresh in his mind. The writing is not perfect but its written from the heart. I can't wait for the next one!

Very enjoyable read. If you have read Graham's travel books, give his Near Varna books a try. Same humor, clever word play, fun stories.
