Hirohiko Araki ( 荒木飛呂彦) is a Japanese manga artist. He left school before graduation from Miyagi University of Education.

He enjoys the baseball manga Kyojin No Hoshii (Star of the Giants); the video games Mario Kart and Bomberman; and likes Prince and other African-American singers, as well as jazz, rock, and rap.

He is a recipient the Tezuka Award for manga.

I love this crew of idiots. It’s been a bit since we got a real solid crew. SBR was just Johnny and Gyro (which was great) and Jojolion was mostly just Gappy with a revolving door of random side characters and the story pretending that Yasuho was more important than she was. JoJoLands takes us back to that classic Stardust Crusaders, Golden Wind vibe where our JoJo is just a member of a crew of complete idiots. And they’re all so much fun. Charming Man hasn’t done much for me yet but I can see him growing on me. Dragona has quickly become one of my favorite JoJo characters

Le voy a poner 5 estrellas a todo lo relacionado con JoJo y me la pela. Siento que Araki con JoJolands está haciendo un trabajo impecable. En este volumen los villanos son demasiado interesantes y te deja con tensión hasta el último momento. Además que la historia no te hace pasar ni un momento de aburrimiento. No me sobra nada absolutamente. Amo a los protagonistas, lo vuelvo a decir. Quiero seguir leyendo.

Creo que las balas de Glory Days van escuchando la canción a ralentí mientras se mueven.
Pedazo tomo; que funciona muy bien tanto para introducir en condiciones a dos antagonistas bastante interesantes, tener escenas de acción cargadas de tensión y, a la vez, evolucionar muy dinámicamente las relaciones entre nuestros gang principal

La pelea de este volumen me pareció especialmente ingeniosa. Se nota una gran consciencia en el uso de los poderes de los Stands, lo que permite anticipar cómo podrían desarrollarse los enfrentamientos. Eso me encantó, porque cada vez siento más inmersión en el mundo de Jojos.

La historia avanza lo justo y necesario para seguir desarrollando el conflicto de las mafias en Hawai. Sin embargo, me habría gustado recibir un poco más de información para profundizar en la trama general. Aun así, queda claro que el objetivo principal de este volumen era generar tensión entre los usuarios de Stand, y eso se logra con creces. La dinámica entre Lulu y Bobby Jean, por ejemplo, transmite muy bien esa sensación constante de peligro y de no saber cómo lograrán salir adelante.

Lo que más destaco de The JOJOLands, sin duda, es la dinámica grupal. Es algo que extrañaba de las entregas anteriores, ya que tanto en Steel Ball Run como en Jojolion era una dinámica de dúos. Volver a ver un equipo funcionando como tal le da ese toque mágico que tenían las entregas anteriores.

Yeah, so this one is my least favourite so far. Yes, there was a lot of action and I thought someone from the protagonist group wasn't gonna make it, but I think I just don't like Lulu and Bobby Jean. Even though Lulus Stand is actually pretty lethal.
