So I went into this sorta blind I signed up for the arc obviously because I didn’t know much about the author or the first two books and damn what a ride!
So Allen works at a sex shop and a bunch of hockey players come in and start making a mess and he meets a shy hockey guy named Jake who’s instantly enamoured with Allen so he agrees to go to a hockey game and he meets Jake’s best friend Riley and also sits next to Riley’s rival Kingston it seems like a messy situation but it works
Jake absolutely transforms Allen into a relationship guy I mean Jake is like a giant golden retriever how could you resist
Then you have Kingston and Riley’s rivalry which also turns into steamy time when Kingston kisses Riley but they don’t know what they want relationship wise so they talk to Jake and Allen and when it comes to Kingston and Riley’s first time oh they get Jake to talk them threw it while they are doing it while Allen sits and watches
So when Kingston and Riley officially become boyfriends they have an idea to become one giant poly relationship with the 4 of them and somehow it works
All 4 of them help each other with what they need
While Jake doesn’t like change or not knowing where his people are because of his autism of course it’s perfectly normal that all 4 live in Jake’s penthouse
Or when Jake doesn’t like loud noises so him and Kingston go on their first date together at potential property together and have a picnic while Allan and Riley go to karaoke
I think what I like the most besides the very spicy spice is how they all fit together
No one is ever left alone because someone is there for each of them with the cuddles and everything else
The story is sweet but it’s spicy AF! The scene after Jake gets the GM job and the epilogue with Riley and Jake phewwww!

I am completely, utterly obsessed. Found family dynamics are my absolute weakness, especially when you get a bunch of beautifully bruised souls who have these extra little needs that someone else doesn't just tolerate, but actively loves them for. It is the ultimate story of love and acceptance, and Kai Jennex is officially a new author on my permanent must-read list. The absolute banter in this book is second to none, but it is the structural setup that completely hooked me. I loved how the narrative splits the focus initially, tracking the quiet, intense beginning of Jake and Allen’s relationship on one side, while letting us watch Riley and Kingston’s volatile, oil-and-water friction explode on the other, before finally colliding them all together. This is absolutely not your traditional, messy love triangle; it is a full, glorious, all-to-all quad where group loyalty and mutual affection are completely absolute. Watching Riley and Jake’s bond evolve from an incredibly tight childhood friendship into a full romantic entanglement alongside Allen and Kingston was just magnificent.

Honestly, do not ask me to pick a favourite character because they each possess such wonderfully distinct, massive personalities. Allen is a total force of nature with his brilliant brashness and zero-fear attitude, and I adored the way Jake just pushed right into his life and held on so tight that Allen never stood a chance of getting away. He desperately needed that. Jake is easily my biggest soft spot; he felt that undeniable pull toward Allen instantly and refused to let go, making him lovable in every single way possible. Then you look at Kingston, who so clearly needed Riley to love him unconditionally. He viewed himself as completely unworthy of anyone, making the rest of the gang exactly the healing balm his soul required. And Riley? He was so delightfully mixed up in his own head, having loved Jake since childhood but entirely missing the signs, hiding a mountain of anxiety and self-doubt beneath his golden retriever exterior. The standout moment for me has to be when Kingston gets thoroughly frustrated with Riley’s panic over taking the next sexual step, and literally drags him over to Jake and Allen’s place for a bit of co-coaching. It is incredibly hot, yes, but also deeply moving to see how they selflessly help each other.

The physical and emotional chemistry is incredibly intense. I loved that Allen, though the smallest of the four, often takes the lead in their group dynamic, subverting typical expectations for the larger athletes in the group. It is a refreshing and compelling dynamic, especially seeing how the characters balance their different personalities when they are all together. The interactions between the four of them are filled with high-energy tension and deep connection. While I did wonder if Riley and Jake might have worked out if they had sorted their feelings as teenagers, it is obvious they all met at the exact right moment. Allen’s uncanny ability to read everyone’s feelings without them saying a word out loud provided some genuine laugh-out-loud moments.

I was genuinely gutted when it ended; I could have happily read another three hundred pages exploring their four-way domestic dynamic, purely because I wasn't ready to leave the gang behind. Jennex’s writing style is snappy with absolutely zero tedious monologuing, keeping me thoroughly engaged. It is written in third-person POV, which I occasionally struggle with, but it didn't detract from the story at all.

If you are a fan of high-heat romance that moves away from predictable formulas, this is the exact brand of emotional, chaotic joy you need. It is tailor-made for readers who want stories laced with genuine healing, fierce protectiveness, and a found-family unit that feels entirely earned. It is a highly recommended read.

In exchange for an honest review i got to read the ARC Version Bonus Game by Kai Jennex.

Is it ok to say right out from the get go this book had me hooked? And I will be here for the long run becuse i want to read all of the characters stories!

Allan is a 30 year old man that Hate Christmas and Hockey with a passion, he works at a sex store and just struggle with finding love that really lasts, until one evening when the local hockey team comes litterly bursting into the store and one things after another he meets the eyes of the man Jake everything suddenly changes when the man that does not really say much and does not know how to express himself falls for Allan he is pretty much seduced on the spot to give his phone number away to the mysterious hockey player that absolutely want him to join his next hockey game with his best friend Riley along side them.

Allan is an autistic man that sometimes struggle with words have strict habits to keep himself together, he is passionate about playing hockey even tho he arent allowed by his dad to play pro becuse of an accident that almost made him too hurt to get on the ice again, Allan does not like that his dad makes the choices for him so he gives the man an ultimatum be my boyfriend but also need to stand up to his dad and fight for himself and Allan will be his.

This is a love story about a man on the spectrum that finds love in an unusually man that is outspoken and knows what he want from the get go and arent scared to speak up if something feels wrong and a best friend that always is there for him no matter what and about hockey cant forget that! Highly recommended story that i think everyone should read!

Bonus Game had my laughing, swooning and fanning myself 🔥🥵

This was my first poly dynamic story and it did NOT disappoint! These boys were absolutely amazing for one another 😍 I loved how well they complimented each other and the individual relationships they formed was perfection (and so very hot!!)

Jake absolutely stole my heart 🥹 Kai did such a beautiful job with the Autism rep in this story 🥰 Allen completed him and made him feel so safe. It felt like they were made for each other ❤️ I could relate to Jake in many ways and the way Allen SAW Jake was so heartwarming.

The power dynamic between Riley and Kingston brought the tension and the heat 🔥 When that tension broke, it felt like it blew the story wide open and the love just started to flow 🥰

The love in all forms was my absolute favourite part and had me craving a beautiful dynamic like theirs in my own life 💕

Kai Jennex is a fabulous writer and I'm now a huge fan! I cannot wait for the next book in the series 😍  So very grateful to have recieved an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This is a happy book! This is a very hot book! And, this book has epic swoon! This is my first book by the author and i am definitely going back to read the first two. The poly relationship building is brilliantly done, there are a tonnne of first times, sexual awakening, deep feelings and a lot A LOT, of practising and handholding - it’s all very very hot. Also the charter development and definition is so so good, i loved all 4 of them - and while their roles are quite instinctive and structured they are definitely not set in stone and there is a lot of experimentation both physically and emotionally and yet this is not a high angst book. There is also the rivals to lovers and friends to lovers and while that shouldn’t work it does… brilliantly

Highly recommend reading this one!

Arc read this and loved it Jake is beautiful and it’s love at first sight when he meets Allen and Riley and Kingston I do love a good enemies to lovers trope shame it took Riley so long to sort out his sexuality from first few chapters you can tell he’s in love with Jake and already falling for Allen to then add Kingston to the mix it’s all so sweet sexy and beautiful one tiny complaint not enough four together sex scenes but that’s just because I have filthy mind lol it’s well written great autism and adhd rep and four MMCs so easy to love so worth a read

I was lucky to get picked for an ARC and this is my first book review so hopefully I get this right. Sadly, I was initially disappointed during the first several chapters when the story felt rushed with the whole insta-love between Jake and Allen. Without giving too much away, It slowed down and got better but still wasn’t what I have come to expect from Jennex. As long as you don’t go into the book expecting another “Back In the Game” level story, you’ll be fine. It was still well written and plenty of laughs. All in all not a bad one, just not as great a read as Back in the Game or even Game Set Match, which both had more depth to the story. I’m not sure if there was pressure to keep the book to a number of pages/chapters? I feel like this book could have been better if it was given more pages to flesh it out. We just didn’t get the character backgrounds like we did in the first book. Hopefully book 4 will be closer to the fantasticness (yes I know that’s not a legitimate word) that was book 1.
Oh and plenty of spice so don’t you worry about missing out on the hotness level 😜.

Well, who doesn’t love a bratty twink, a bossy bottom making 3 guys speechless?!? NOT ME!!!! I’m here for it! This is going straight onto my top fav reads of the year. And top favs EVER for poly romances.

I loved how Jake was so sure of what he wanted. He dove straight in, head first, balls to the wall, ready to woo the most beautiful man he’d ever seen. Not in the forcible way, always making sure that Allen was comfortable where things were and asking for permission, but completely fearless and ready to pursue. He almost has this insta-love of thinking with Allen but it was done in such a sweet and tender way that I barely noticed it and just kept on enjoying their banter and how they reacted towards one another. All Jake’s inner “soon to be husband” thoughts had me swooning and giggling, which isn’t a trope that usually brings that out of me. I was about to bring out a marriage proposal counter.

Allen is just sassy as sassafras. He’s clever, assertive, bratty, challenging, protective, sarcastic and frank, but kind, understanding and patient. Beautiful inside and out. Exactly what Jake needs. He’s able to understand Jake, read him and see what’s behind his curtain to his real thoughts.

I was wondering why Jake wasn’t jealous of Riley and how he found such comfort in his scent, calling it intoxicating. Then it was mentioned how poly is included and I couldn’t stop my excitement! I usually like to go into ARCs blind but this was such a great surprise!

I loved how welcoming Jake’s family was and that within 5 mins of meeting Allen, grandchildren were already mentioned! LOL! Grandma Valero is a hoot and a half. It was saddening that Jake never felt his dad approved of anything he did, treats him with kid gloves. I kinda see where his dad is coming from. Who wants to see their only child get seriously injured, potentially fatally, but he still doesn’t allow Jake to make his own decisions. Like he doesn’t respect him enough. There’s really no excuse for that. Riley, you whole heartedly love. He’s just a great person. His and Jake’s protective side and need to care coupled with Kingston’s own need to guard was so endearing. Kingston is surprisingly tender and insightful w/c you don’t expect.

When they all started to bond together, I kept thinking Allen is like Mama Bear, or a really great babysitter which is hilarious. Riley adds this well roundedness and Kingston is the cherry on top. He has this dark romance vibe to him and let’s be honest, who wouldn’t love that!

I always say I appreciate when authors write the intimate scenes full out, the build up, the expressions, the explosion, the plateau then the aftershocks of comedown. In stories like this, I think it adds to the bond that we feel. Jake’s being on the spectrum and the poly relationship they all have is explained so fully and in a sensitive way so we get it. Being poly doesn’t mean you love the others in percentages that equal 100. Like 1 is 50%, the others 30% and 20%. You love each of them 100%, just in different ways. It’s equal and all encompassing. No one is left out or loved less or favored. No competition. Just…love.

This book kept me completely engrossed the entire time! Smiling, giggling, sighing, swooning, all of it! I can’t remember ANY part where I felt bored, down, uninvested or uninterested. It hooked me in right from the start. These four match each other perfectly and build each other up better in every way. Hockey mm romances, specifically dark ones always capture my attention, but this did not need that to make me fall. I fell for the mains, all 4 of them. They’re all adorable and perfect in their own ways, a perfect balance.I liked every single character, even the dad in a weird way. I was never NOT having fun. I’m just…..I really love this book. Plain and simple. (I’m sorry I ever doubted it, just thinking it’s another hockey book) Just read it and I know you’ll love it too…. 6 stars!!!!! 9 for the inches! 10 for the number of times!!!! lol Rizz him with the tism!

(I rarely write reviews so this isn’t going to be very eloquent or properly organized at all. Basically just a stream of consciousness but the last paragraph is really why I felt compelled to write one at all)

3.5 stars (last paragraph has my reason that dropped this rating from 4.5 stars)

There were so many aspects that I really enjoyed about this book. The pacing worked really well with the first almost half being the build up (if you could call it build up with the instalove aspect) of Jake and Allen’s relationship, the next quarter being build up for Kingston and Riley’s relationship was a little longer to get though because of the rivals to lovers, and then finally to them figuring out how they all fit together in the last quarter. The sex scenes were great and the dynamics were really nice.

It took me a while to enjoy Kingston because he was more on the asshole side of grumpy but after a while, he definitely grew on me. His addition to the quad helped it not be just sickly sweet and added more playfulness. I’m glad the slight miscommunication (as in, lack of actual communication) between him and Riley didn’t last for long and that the other couple was there to pull them out of their heads enough to get really started.

Riley wasn’t the most consistent character to me but not in a bad way. He was very playful but also so anxious/shy at times. It felt like he was wearing a mask at the beginning and when that fell away, it uncovered how nervous he is about basically everything. He really was the only person standing in his way at the beginning of their relationship. Again, he got with the program pretty quick so it wasn’t very frustrating. Him being Jake’s best friend was very sweet and I liked how he didn’t have the usual freakout many best friends to lovers have where he thinks he shouldn’t pursue anything at the risk of ruining their friendship because he knew no matter what that they would continue being best friends.

Jake is essentially perfect. They tell him so many times but it is true. His autism isn’t seen as negative or hard to love. If anything, they talk about how much his autism shapes his personality and helps him be a better partner. I’m glad his relationship with his dad wasn’t the main main focus of the book and although it was the conflict, it seemed like it was solved in the absolute best way possible… which leads me to Allen lol

Allen was my favorite in the dynamic. If there was anyone who could have tamed and loved these three hockey players, it’s him. I, much like Jake, was obsessed with him from the start. Pretty/kinky twinks in panties just… yeah… I don’t need to elaborate. He didn’t add unnecessary drama while he worked to figure out how to make Jake and the others happy. He knew what they needed when they couldn’t express it and he stood up for Jake in a way that Riley wouldn’t be able to. I did enjoy that he didn’t really have anything to “give up” in order to make his deal with Jake’s dad but it was still a huge commitment to make in order for everyone to get to a compromise that was satisfactory.

Finally the thing I TRULY disliked about this book: the 3rd person POV. I don’t really like 3rd person in general but it REALLY worked against this book because there are 4 people. There were times where I couldn’t remember whose chapter it was I was reading and it almost made me give up on this book multiple times. At the halfway point I just decided to give up on knowing who it was and that made the rest of the book more enjoyable. Because it’s in 3rd person, there weren’t any strong personality differences in the narration so you only saw their personalities in the dialogue and observations. This book would have been a 4.5 stars for me if it was in first person. Idk definitely just personal preference but that’s why you are reading this review anyways!! Overall, great book. Very fun. Low stakes.

Let me start by saying that I absolutely love Jake and Allen. They deserve every good thing life has to offer.

Now, I have to admit something... I went into this book completely forgetting that it was a poly romance. Shame on me! I probably should have known better because I distinctly remember the previous book mentioning that there would be poly relationships in this series. So, I ended up going into this one much blinder than I expected, and it also happened to be my very first poly romance read.

I want to go on record and say that this was the perfect introduction to the genre for me. As someone who falls on the ace spectrum, I've always had my own reservations about poly relationships in romance. This book completely eased those concerns and gave me such a healthy, beautiful representation that I couldn't help but fall in love with it. Like seriously, I had to message my best friend who also read it that I was nervous but enjoying it.

Jake and Allen are the heart of the story from the beginning, and I loved getting to spend more time with them as an established couple before Riley and Kingston entered the picture. Kai did such an incredible job writing Jake's autism. It never felt like it defined him, but rather shaped the way he experienced the world, communicated, and built relationships. It felt authentic and was woven so naturally into his character. It was also so beautiful to see how everyone loved on him and how he returned that love.

Once Riley and Kingston joined them, the dynamic between all four of them was incredible. Even though they were in one relationship, each connection still felt unique and individual. Every relationship was given room to grow without taking away from the group as a whole, and I absolutely loved that.

One of my favorite things about this book was that there was no unnecessary relationship drama. No ridiculous misunderstandings or any third-act breakups. No needless angst between the four of them. Instead, we got healthy communication, trust, patience, and so much love. Watching them learn about each other and build their relationship together was genuinely refreshing.

And when the spice finally arrived... it spiced.

I also loved how funny this book was. The humor balanced the emotional moments perfectly, and there were so many different tropes blended together seamlessly. You get friends-to-lovers, strangers-to-lovers, enemies-to-lovers, bi awakening, self-discovery, and found family all wrapped into one story, yet somehow it never felt overwhelming. It literally put the book all together with a beautiful bow.

There was one point where I genuinely felt like I was watching a porno being directed, and I mean that as the highest compliment possible. If you've read the book, you know exactly the scene I'm talking about. I was laughing and kicking my feet reading it.

I'm continually amazed by the stories Kai creates. Every book reminds me why they're one of my favorite authors. Even though this is a hockey series, I love that hockey isn't always the central focus. Each book brings something different. This one leaned much more into character growth, relationships, self-discovery, and a beautiful bi awakening, with hockey serving as the backdrop instead of the entire plot.

I loved absolutely everything about this book, and now that we're three books into the series, I cannot wait to see where Kai takes us next.

It’s hard to say something about “Bonus Game” because it’s so wonderfully sweet and emotional that I fear no words will do it justice. I adore Jake, and how everyone around accepts him for who he is. Even Allen, who’s really grumpy when he meets him, realises that Jake is not an asshole, just someone who’s really literal and knows what he wants, and goes after it. I adore that Jake was like: I like Allen, I want Allen, I’m gonna have Allen! We love a man on a mission. I loved that he knew about his diagnosis and still had a plan to marry Allen before Allen even accepted dating. Jake clearly focuses on the important things here!

Allen is cute. He’s so grumpy when we first meet him, but he’s great with communication (he’s also older), and he helps Jake and the other boys explore a lot of things about themselves. He’s not afraid of doing different things or talk about sex/sexuality. Allen is like the glue that makes everyone come together and realise who they are. I loved how sassy and bossy he was, he also knew exactly how to handle Jake and not give in every time Jake wanted something.

While Jake and Allen have a whirlwind romance, Riley and Kingston are more of a slow burn. They both deny the attraction they have for each other, and let those feelings simmer. Jake and Allen are not idiots, but Riley and Kingston sure are. Idiots because they clearly feel things, yet keep thinking they are straight. Allen and Jake are amazing, and they help the couple with their issues. Kingston is not used to make friends, while Riley was always Jake’s best friend, and he might have feelings for him. I loved that there was no jealousy, it was fun seeing men just accepting their feelings (some after a lot of struggles and spiralling).

“Bonus Game” is just very positive and the epitome of “love is love”. It’s a feel-good book where you just want everyone to be happy, because they all deserve happiness. Jake deserves to be surrounded by people who love him; Allen deserves to find someone who’s obsessed with him; Riley deserves to be seen, and Kingston deserves to be loved.

Jake and Allen are the starting point of this relationship, and that says a lot about the book itself. Jake is so wonderfully straightforward, while Allen hides behind sarcasm and insists he's "un-wooable." Jake, of course, chooses to put that to the test. Let's just say Allen's backbone needs some strengthening.

Allen's character arc was my favourite. Seeing him go from resenting everything hockey represented to slowly finding joy in it again was such a satisfying full-circle moment. It wasn't just about falling in love with Jake, it was about reclaiming something he'd lost years before.

Although he was my favourite character arc, I genuinely think Kingston ended up being my favourite character in the book. Watching him go from someone who struggled to trust others to someone who slowly let himself be cared for was incredibly rewarding. Just wrap him in a blanket and protect him at all costs.

One of my favourite things about this book was the domesticity. Whether it was Jake cleaning Allen's apartment, the four of them sharing breakfasts, spending evenings together, or simply existing in the same space, every relationship felt lived in. The romance wasn't built on grand declarations but on all the little moments that make people feel like home, and their determination to make it work and be willing to really work for it.

I also really appreciated that this book didn't fall into the usual third-act breakup trap. Instead of manufacturing conflict for the sake of it, the story lets the characters communicate, work through their feelings, and focus on building their relationships. It was so refreshing to watch the final part of the book be about growing together rather than tearing everyone apart just to put them back together again.

Overall: found family, hockey, healthy communication, and four characters who genuinely wanted the best for each other, this was exactly the kind of romance I love reading.

Healing through unconditional love & acceptance

This was my first book by Kai and I loved it.

This was such a beautiful and unique way for a poly relationship to fall info place. This book is filled with found family vibes.

I love the split focus in the beginning. We had this super sweet relationship coming together between Jake and Allen. While we watched this absolute train wreck between two hockey players Riley and Kingston. These two are constantly at each other's throats. The biawakening in thus story was absolutely fantastic.

Riley and Jake have been best friends since they were kids. Their friendship is so beautiful and watching them come together was incredibly special. They have been there for each other through everything...including first times and it never felt weird. It was just more confirmation that this quad was perfect together.

The spice in this book is incredible. Each scene is unique and adds to the story. Two couples on entirely different journeys but that ultimately fall together in perfect harmony. The way the emotions came through in each new experience was perfect.

I loved each of the characters. Jake is this super sweet guy but when he knew what he wanted he grabbed on and refused to let go. Allen is this brilliant guy who keeps himself at a distance but stood absolutely zero chance against Jake. He absolutely needed Jake to force his way through those walks. Riley was all mixed up. He loved Jake for so long but missed all the signs. He is a golden retriever filled with anxiety and self doubt. Kingston saw himself as unworthy and needed to be loved unconditionally. Together they were able to break down all the walls and fill in all the cracks with unconditional love and acceptance.

I will definitely need to read Kia's back log and whatever comes next.

I was honored to ARC read Bonus Game by Kai Jennex and it was everything I hoped it would be.

It's been a long time since a book made me genuinely smile as I read it, and not only did Bonus Game do that, but it also had me giggling and squealing as these four guys fell for one another.

This story was light hearted and fun, with just enough emotional depth to pull at the heart strings. One of the best MM hockey romances I've read in a while.

Okay, so first of all if you love MM hockey romances but haven’t started this series yet, you absolutely need to! I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of this one until ARC calls came out for Bonus Game.

Bonus Game is the third book in the series, but I think could also be read as a standalone (however the first two books were fantastic, so definitely worth reading too!). Whereas the first two books dealt with pretty serious themes, including grief, trauma and past abuse, Bonus Game is much less angsty. In this this book we get to see the gradual development of two separate romances between Jake (an autistic beer league hockey player and heir to his father’s company) and Allen (an adorable twink dom), and then Riley (Jake’s best friend and a hockey player) and Sloan (Riley’s teammate and rival). The two couples then gradually become one as they acknowledge their feelings for each other and enter into a perfectly balanced poly romance.

I’ve read many MM+ stories, but this was such a unique take. I loved how the two separate couples became well established first, before embracing a poly relationship. The romantic development was so natural and sweet.

Absolutely loved every page of Bonus Game! The only thing I missed was not getting to see more of the awesome characters from the first two books, but I’m sure they will come back as the series continues. Can’t wait to read book 4!

You ever been jealous of characters in a book before? Well now I have! Oh these four men have something so beautiful together. First Allen and Jake, who are just the best together. Jake latches onto Allen like a baby duck and I was here for I, and so was Allen even though he’s super grumpy about it. Their coupling opens the door for Riley and Kingston, two rival hockey players on the same team. And again, once Kingston gets over the fact that someone/someone’s could actually care deeply for him their relationship together is so sweet. With each pairing each couple heals and complements the other. But the real magic is everyone coming together and poor Allen is stuck with three hockey players who complete each other perfectly and make amazing boyfriends for all of them.
I loved how each man had something unique to bring to the relationship, and how they were all there for each other no matter what, it all came about so organically and easily for them without a second thought. It was a beautiful thing to watch. Also Allen taking charge of everything was great! I loved it, he told those massive men what was what and how things were going to go. I hope for more glimpses from this relationship in upcoming books since they are so special and unique in a sports romance.

Oh my goodness, Bonus Game is an absolute masterpiece! I received an ARC from Kai Jennex, and I’m completely obsessed. This MMMM romance follows Allen, Jake, Riley, and Kingston as they navigate life, feelings, love, commitment, vulnerability, friendships and how they fit with one another.
The group dynamic is incredible. Allen is the ultimate anchor, literally the safe dock keeping these men from drowning. The autism and ADHD representation is fantastically well-done. Watching childhood best friends Jake and Riley realize their feelings alongside Kingston and Riley’s hilarious enemies to lovers bickering was pure perfection. Nothing was handed over freely, they had to work hard for their happy ending. The Communication!!!
Did I mention communication? It is elite! They actually talk, work together, and reassure one another's overthinking minds. I loved that there were no assumptions. They all knew where they fit. Combine that with emotional depth, supportive parents, the funniest marriage proposal ever, and top notch intimacy that is utterly scorching and this is a flawless 5 star read!

These four were everything!!!! 


Starting of this story you have Jake falling literally into Allens life haha, he didnt PLAN to meet a guy by crushing a display of panties but hey sometimes you gotta do things with a bang haha.


Allen and Jakes love is so cute, sweet and pure, with Jakes autism everything is straight forward and literal in their love story. And as a love girl, Jake i see you wanting to marry your man right away haha.


Then the other half of our beautiful foursome Riles and Kingston, our sexy rivals to lovers hockey duo! Watching the tension slowly build and then explode 🥵, i loved watching these two not only connect sexually but the way two sweet slightly hurt boys fall in love was so good!


Polycules can be so hard to write sometimes where it feels natural and organic, and as a poly person i was kicking my feet and giggling at how beautiful their communication was and then setting boundaries!!!

This was a really fun book. I've never read an MM x MM book before and it was really good!! As I was reading, I kept wondering how the 2 relationships were going to work. It was like a combination between a slow and fast burn with all 4 men getting out of their comfort zones.

Jake and Allen are so perfect for eachother. Jake brings out the lighthearted and less pessimistic side of Allen whereas Allen brings out the more comfortable and confident side of Jake. Their love is a one-sided, love at first sight that blooms into a beautiful relationship.

Kingston and Riley absolutely hate eachother...... until they don't. They consider themselves rivals on the ice even though they are on the same team which I thought was really funny. This double bi-awakening couple was so fun to read about and their dynamic is about equivalent to an old bickering couple.

The way these two relationships work together definitely flowed really well......not effortlessly, but.... inevitable.

I’ve read poly before but this was great and kinda different like usually everyone gets together in one go ( I also love this haha), but here each couple kinda starts MM and then it develops in to MMMM but still true to each other if that makes any sense and I Loved this take

Loved The friendship with Riley and Allen haha it was so much fun, the tension and safe place between Jake and Riley, and of the s*xual tension/hate between Riley and Sloan, the awakening 10/10, the found family!! couldn’t put it down

I need the next book!! can’t wait !!

One of my most anticipated reads of this year!! Firstly, this book immediately grabs your attention just from the first meetup alone. i think i already fell in love in Jake and Allen from the first second. Jake's character is exactly the type of characters i love for in books, oblivious and yearning! the tension and soft moments were UGHHH EVERYTHINGGGG!! and we all love ice hockey men yup we do. definitely did not dissapoint and ofc we cant forget Kingston and Riley lets be real nobody was shocked but GADDAM THE SEXUAL TENSION is what ive wished for and more. such an honor to be an arc reader of this book however i was and still am a bit 50/50 about reading poly but this was done in the best way!

Jake and Allen are relationship goals. Riley and Kingston are relationship goals. Jake, Allen. Riley, AND Kingston are so far beyond goals it's insane!
The love each couple have and the love both couples share with each other is perfection!
A lot of poly books, they only work as a group but these characters all work so well with each other individually that the group dynamic is other worldly!
The way they care for and protect each other makes you fall in love with each of them!
Allen is a perfect anchor for the other 3.
The autism and ADHD rep was done so respectfully and beautifully.
The spice was...hot! Chef's kiss! Oof!!!

This is really two stories that becomes one. Allen works in an adult toy shop when Jake and his fellow hockey buddies stumble in, knock over an underwear display and abandon Jake to fix it. Jake is immediately bowled over by Allen, asks him out, gives him a ride home and pesters him into a relationship. Jake pursues Allen avidly and lovingly until Allen can't say no. All the while, in the background, bf Riley and Sloan are doing their own hate/love thing. I loved Allen's snark and tinyness and loved Jake's gigantic, caring smothering. And then the poly relationship begins. I received a copy of this and this is my voluntary opinion.

I want to say that I liked the writing, the characterization, and the development of the four characters.

Allen works at an adult store, where he meets Jake, a shy hockey player who is instantly drawn to him.

Then there are Riley and Kingston, two other players, whose rivalry turns into a relationship when they kiss.

The four of them form the polycule.

I'd really like to read the previous two, since I think they're connected even though each one has its own couple.

ARC review. I purposefully avoided any spoilers from book because I wanted to be surprised and it was not at ALL what I expected. Totally not your usual hockey trope.

This is my first MMMM romance, and I’m not going to lie, it took a minute to get used to! The characters are engaging however and all very likable which is so helpful. The 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ is hotter than hot and the 4 MCs truly make you believe polyamory can work.

I really want to read the rest of the books in this series!

This book feels rushed at the beginning, but fortunately, it calms down as the story progresses.

The characters have their own place in the story, and you soon start to feel more for them.

I have no words. This is a stunning story of four guys, with hockey and romance combined. I didn’t focus on the plot even though it was there but I was so invested in the relationship and character development. Kingston, Jake, Allen and Riley just made sense. There was so much chemistry between them and the intimacy was well written.

This is my first by this author and now I have to go read the rest of this series. This is a interconnected stand alone but it was a great story. It a poly MMMM romance, it was great watching the 4 characters grow and build there relationships. It's spicy and a fast read. Highly recommend.
