Maiyan never imagined the kind of pain that could split a woman open and leave her fighting just to breathe. But one devastating moment changed her life, her heart, and everything she thought she knew about love.
Now she’s carrying memories that bruise her spirit — raw, heavy, and impossible to outrun. The hardest truth she’s learning is love might be real, but the healing after betrayal cuts deeper than heartbreak.
Still haunted by the past, Maiyan is trying to rebuild herself piece by piece after lies, cheating, and broken promises tore her apart. She’s lived the story too many women know — being loyal to the wrong man, staying too long, and giving her all only to be left empty.
But even after all that pain, her heart still dares to believe in second chances, true love, and the kind of Black love that chooses her back.
Standing at the crossroads of what was and what’s next, she feels everything shifting. Something has to change. Either love is finally ready to fight for her… or it’s about to walk away for the last time.
This time, Maiyan isn’t begging for love. She’s demanding it.
If you’re a fan of African American romance, healing after betrayal, and stories about strong women rediscovering self-worth, After You Been Cheated On 2 is a powerful journey of heartbreak, growth, and real love.
I feel like the book is unfinished. Caleb left to go with his sneaky ass aunt. Then it just jumped to Jason and his funeral. Fast forward 3 week later then the destination wedding and didn’t even mention him being there. Like boom after all that it’s just they happily ever after. No more Jana drama and no more Caleb. No update on Malcolm health. No nothing
This was a good series. It touched so many subjects. I just hate that the author didn't tell us what happened with Caleb since the orders was only temporary.
Who among us could stand up to ALL those hits. I should be a law against that much adversity. Glad it’s a standalone no way I could take another disaster. It seemed there were some loose ends.
I waited so long for part 2, but it was worth it. This is the first time I heard about this author. Ms. Icee, you have a winner! The story was drama, humor, and educational. Congratulations!!!
While I love the story line. It’s like the author forgot about Caleb. The aunt is awarded temp custody and he leaves and that’s it. How is the final custody not written in the story. When Caleb is a major part of the story line…this leaves the book in limbo.
