Everyone needs glitter at the end of the world
How can this series have got better?! But it did!
Love the banter and Paris's character is great.
I couldn't put this down and laughed as so many points.

I thought I loved book one but book two had me in a chokehold!! I read this in a day - couldn’t put it down!! Paris is such a fun FMC and I loved how different she was than other FMCs I have read. And let’s not forget Mr. Hot Guy MMC! Gosh I loved these two and I loved this book!

Let's start this off with the honest truth.
I avoided this book because in my ridiculous head I thought this was going to be zombie smut and it was not. So let's clear the air there.

I really enjoyed this book. It has a great way of connecting you to the characters. A fun and detailed enough story so you can see it in your head. The characters are solidly built and described and if this was a movie I would pay to see it.
The romance is cute but not cheesy and doesn't over take the story.
It's not an overly told, beat to death zombie story.
A well written story that follows a young girl as she incidentally meets another survivor who tries to use her fire escape and fails. A story of survival, loss and building a future - with some hiccups.
I highly recommend this book!

2.5 stars. A little insta lovey (the first 8 days are covered in a paragraph or two then they're both fighting feelings, despite him getting over his dead ex). We don't see their feelings develop at all before they're there. It was especially jarring with the MMC because he's telling us about his fiancee who died at the start of things a year ago, and then he's kissing the FMC wanting to sleep with her. The issue was that we only saw his POV very few times in the story, so we went from:
1) not trusting her, to
2) wanting to sleep with her, being totally captivated by her, to
3) idk if I can trust her enough to invite her to my home/compound, immediately to:
4) Either you're coming with me or I'm staying with you forever.
All of these came out of nowhere because the changes behind those thoughts weren't built up enough.
There's also a huge time jump 3/4 of the way through, and a quick rescue after that. It all felt a little surface level at that point.
Aside from that, the book was good. The spice was good, the setup interesting. The FMC was a nice change of pace in character. The MMC was a little of anything the author needed at the moment, but he was also attentive and sweet so I'll accept it. 😅
Ends on an HFN, but it's a zombie romance, it kind of has to.

CHARACTERS- 10/10
Characters are great. Banter great.
ATMOSPHERE/SETTING- 10/10
The setting was described beautifully and the whole vibe was great.
WRITING STYLE- 10/10
Love the writing style, not super wordy but very easy to get through.
PLOT- 9/10
Plot is great, my only complaint is that there’s a certain part where there is a time skip that I think should’ve been written fully.
INTRIGUE- 10/10
100% wanted to know what happened. Found it hard to put down.
LOGIC/RELATIONSHIPS- 8/10
Much like the first book in this series, I felt the characters moved a little bit too fast, which took away some of the believability for me.

I would’ve preferred this book to be more drawn out and for the love story to be a little more slow burn, just so it could feel a bit more realistic. But altogether I really enjoyed it anyways and I’d love to grab a physical copy for my shelf.

I REALLY enjoyed this one! Set the same as Glass Rose, just a year-ish later. Casual mentions of characters from the previous book, but you aren't left completely confused if you didn't read it.
Paris is a sweetheart and I loved her character. She's practical and yet where's glitter make up. Just because the world went to s**t doesn't mean you have to look like it. She's resourceful and her comebacks to Knox were making me laugh so much.
It was a nice dynamic twist with Knox being injured when they meet and she's the one to take care of him. I liked that we heard about enough of Knox's background to be fairly satisfying. Not opposed to more, but definitely made understanding him easier.

I received this as an ARC. I read the previous book in this duet, Glass Rose. This is set in the same universe and we do see familiar characters. This was better than book one and I loved that one. Paris is amazing and I love her glitter and quirkiness. Telly and Bino agreed! Pair her with ‘hot guy’ and it gets more interesting from there.

I loved the first book in this series and I was really looking forward to this book releasing! I know that this book was going to focus on new characters but set in the same world as the first book! After reading, I can say that I really enjoyed this book! I felt like it had a bit of a different vibe to the first book, but then it all connected to the first book and made sense! The plot only took me a few sittings to read because I didn’t want to put it down! There was a lot of romance in the plot and I loved the way it developed! The characters helped and looked after each other! The romance allowed for some very steamy scenes between the main characters too! There was also some action and suspense in the plot, but not a lot of scenes with zombies in them! I do wish there had been more zombies in the book, but there was enough going on in the plot to keep it interesting! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Paris was the main female character, and she was alone in the zombie ridden world and had survived in her penthouse by herself! I loved Paris and she wanted some normality with her glitter eyeshadow and talking to her appliances as if they would answer back! Paris was hiding a big secret that changed everything and she was a strong character! Knox was the main male character and love interest of Paris! I found Knox to be such an intriguing character and I wanted to know more about him! Knox was protective of Paris and he wanted her to be safe! Knox also cared a lot about Paris and he didn't make fun of her for talking to appliances! I liked him a lot and he had also experienced a loss that changed him! The majority of this book was written from Paris’s point of view, but some chapters were written from Knox’s point of view! I was hoping that this book was going to be written this way because the first book was written from dual point of view, but the synopsis does gives the impression that it might only have been written from Paris’s point of view! I loved that it was written from both characters point of views because it helped me connect more with Paris and Knox and see their feelings for each other develop! It allowed for a lot more things to happen in the plot as well, which helped as the characters didn’t do everything together and they both were going through their own situations! I now can’t wait to read the next book in this series! I obviously know nothing about it nothing has been revealed yet, but I can’t wait to learn all about it and read it once it releases! I also love the cover for this book and how well it matches the cover for the first book! It suits the feel of the book and it would draw me to the book if I hadn't already read the first book!

TOO CUTE!! I adored the heroine!!
Went into this blind and I couldn't have picked a better gem. GLITTER ROSE was better than the first book that just reeked of insta-love. While this had a nice attraction going on, the characters were VERY likeable.
You can't hate on a beautiful, awkward heroine who is self-sufficient and oh, so alone in the apocalypse. I liked how PARIS talks to herself and gives names to inanimate objects. I can see why or how KNOX fell so easily for her. In a fucked up world where hope's lost, PARIS was the embodiment of it. There was life within her despite the bleak existence.
For once, the damsel saves the white knight and I fucking loved it! I wouldn't have minded this to be a longer novel, I felt sad when I reached the end. I want moreee!!
OVERALL this is a nice and cute zombie apocalypse romance to binge on. It doesn't have a complicated plot, has a good, lovey-dovey romance going on with characters that grow on you and a beautiful cover to appreciate.

What really hooked me, though, is how the story balances survival with identity. The main character doesn’t just fight to stay alive—she fights to stay herself in a world that’s constantly trying to strip people down to their most desperate instincts. There’s something weirdly empowering about watching someone refuse to lose their shine, even when everything around them is rotting.

Didn’t think you could beat book 1 but here we are!
Received this ARC immediately after Glass Rose and finally got to reading it. I didn’t think I could like another couple more than Sofia and Gavin but Knox and Paris were so cute. Their banter was everything to me! I only wish this book was longer I could’ve read about these two for 200 more pages 🥹🩷

Outside of this couple having a lot more banter, this felt much too similar to the previous book.
Unfortunately Minji’s side plot stood out to me more than anything else and it barely had any real development. Also everything we learned or that was hinted at in the previous book wasn’t followed up on which was disappointing.

Great zombie apocalypse romance!
I really enjoyed this book, good plot apocalypse vibe and spicy romance. If it had been longer I would have loved it more but tge author seems to be writing more books so I'll get my fix. I started the series with this book but now I definitely want to go back to the first. I'm an obsessed claire kent fan and I recommend this book!

This was much different than the first book but I loved every bit of it just as much! I love love our fmc! I love her personality and funk lol. The mmc is perfect too! I can't wait to read the next book in the series!!

I love a princess in the apocalypse type story. Especially when the MMC doesn't want her to change.
That's what this story serves and I enjoyed it. The only thing that really brought down my rating was some of the dialogue. Some the dialogue felt a bit cheesy/clunky and she lost me when she had 'sassy' dialogue. But the moments between Paris and Knox were so sweet. I liked this story more than the first in this series. I am glad I picked it up and look forward to more from this author.

Quick question: What happens when a woman who's spent 400+ days talking to her telescope meets a guy who falls off her fire escape? (Spoiler: it's not boring.)
This isn't your typical "we met cute at the coffee shop" romance. It's more like "we met when you fell off my building and I had to stitch your head back together." The stakes are life and death, and yes, there are definitely some very steamy moments.
Heads up: This book has stranger-to-lovers, morally complicated family members, some genuinely intense scenes, and a heroine who will absolutely gut someone if they threaten her man. Also, there may be tears. Happy ones, but still.
Bottom line: It's a fast-paced love story set in the zombie apocalypse, with extra glitter.

Quick question: What happens when a woman who's spent 400+ days talking to her telescope meets a guy who falls off her fire escape? (Spoiler: it's not boring.)
This isn't your typical "we met cute at the coffee shop" romance. It's more like "we met when you fell off my building and I had to stitch your head back together." The stakes are life and death, and yes, there are definitely some very steamy moments.
Heads up: This book has stranger-to-lovers, morally complicated family members, some genuinely intense scenes, and a heroine who will absolutely gut someone if they threaten her man. Also, there may be tears. Happy ones, but still.
Bottom line: It's a fast-paced love story set in the zombie apocalypse, with extra glitter.

I loved this story, although I haven't read the previous story, I was able to enjoy this as a StandAlone story.
I am enjoying the Apocalyptic Genre at the moment, and this was a fun twist on the Heroine/Hero's of the normal plots.
The world has become infested with Zombies and our Hero needs help. The Heroine provides this as she is not visible to the flesh hungry zombies, and from there the story evolves on. Romance in the Apocalypse always is a good read for me and this doesn't disappoint. Romance, horror, past history, gore and heat.
Was a fun read and pretty quick for me to get through, with an unusual twist, so I can not complain.
