While the book was great as far as the relationship between Beau and Rebekah, I felt it focused too much on Beau and the team and not enough on Rebekah. Apparently she was shot at close range at some point, survived but there is no indication as to where she was shot, why, how long her recovery, etc.

There is very little of her backstory - and being a security company of former Special Ops military, I would have assumed they would do at least a cursory background check of a new employee that would have access to ALL their files and cases (granted, after the fact but still...). There is a very brief mention of her sister's murder and her being shot but almost as an afterthought and quite a way in the book. At least the introduction of the team (and I loved the interactions) will help in future books.

I loved this the starting of a new series and this one is the boss man Beau Sinclair of Shadow Heights he's like a big grumpy teddy bear but so lovable and seeing Rebecca Simpson a newcomer it was she's mine at first sight. I loved this it was full with so much emotion, danger and fun to read.
I really love the tactical team they were fun and so full of love and protective of Rebecca it just melted my heart. I cant wait for more.

Take a trip to Shadow Heights you won't be disappointed. This new series from Hadley started out great with Beau. This grumpy/sunshine DD/LG story was wonderful and of course my girl had to add in some drama that you won't see coming. I am so proud of how far Hadley has come and I love that she is showing the world how beautiful a DD/LG relationship can be and I can't wait to see what she comes out with next.

Sweet but interesting

This is a lovely book with an intriguing start and a sweet ending.
Beau is a strong silent but lovely Daddy and just what is needed when thing escalate into scary for Rebecca. With the Special Ops team that is Beau's business comes so many 'big brothers' for Rebecca that she can finally start to relax after her traumatic past.
I also loved the really different and unexpected finish.

Story 3⭐️ Spice 0🌶️
This wasn’t necessarily bad, but it certainly wasn’t great. There was so much randomness that happened that seemed to serve zero purpose. There were also a lot of things that happened that would never happen in the real world. That really took me out of the story. For example, she gets a job at a security firm without a phone number, résumé or background check? That’s not even in the realm of plausibility.

I really enjoyed this story of Beau and Rebecca. It was a nice change of pace from what I usually read and I'm here for it! Rebecca needs help and she goes to where Beau works. Instant love and Beau is hooked, but he's going to have to save her first!

This was such a cute story although it keeps you on your toes until almost the end with a twist you never see coming! Beau and Rebekah are the sweetest. I also love Josh and Seth and hope their story is soon!

Really loved this one. It was intense Rebekah had such loss in her life but then she starts to work for Beau and he wants to be there for her. The way those two were together was perfect. Such a great read.A++
