Sin of the Season: A Miguel and Caleb Christmas
Sin of the Season is a short Christmas novella following stepbrothers Caleb and Miguel from the Halloween novella Trick of the Flesh.
I didn't think Christmas in Tahoe would come with snow, lights... and Miguel in a Santa hat.
He says we came here to relax.
I think we came here so he could ruin me on every flat surface of this damn cabin.
Between the fireplace, the couch and the bed in the loft, I'm pretty sure I'm not making it out of this trip without needing physical therapy and maybe an exorcism.

All I wanted for us was a quiet cabin in the snow.
What I got was my pretty boy in flannel pajama pants and that look in his eye that makes me forget how to breathe.
He's my favorite gift.
My favorite sin.
And this Christmas I plan on unwrapping him slow... then fast all night long.
Because the season's all about giving.
And Caleb? He's about to get everything.

Just when I thought I couldn't love these two any more than I already do...
Izzy really tugged at my heart with this holiday Caleb and Miggy short. I think these two might be my favorite ever MM Dark Romance couple. I find myself caring about them both, so deeply, as if they were my friends in real life. I want them together, I want them both happy. I'm rooting for them, always, and I find myself telling them both 'Who cares if your step brothers? There's no blood relation! Live, love and be happy with each other!' These characters jump off the page for me and really come to life.
I so enjoyed sharing in on their quiet, steamy holiday. I really liked the way Miguel brought the thrill of the first book along with them, and gave honor to their first time together in doing so. I loved his attention to detail in the planning, and how he did it all with Caleb's joy and comfort in mind and at heart. If you're like me and enjoy your Holiday novellas to have...

Before I slip off to enjoy some holiday cheer of my own, and by that I just mean a glass of egg nog, it's time to write my favorite part of the review, the rating(s)! Our talented author went above and beyond in making sure we were given a story made up of equal parts plot and spice. Neither overpowered the other, and when it was steamy, it left me panting. I could not get enough of Caleb and Miggy together, fogging up my glasses and raising the temperature of the room, and for that I'm awarding SotS a burning 5 outta 5 🌶️'s. As well as an overall 5 outta 5 ⭐'s.

Whew. This was SPICY! I was so excited to get back to Caleb and Miggy! If you haven’t already then go read Trick of the Flesh- a Halloween novella before reading this one!
Caleb & Miguel have easily become one of my favorite couples. The banter between the two of them is so addicting and infectious. I was cheesing the entire time reading. I love love love the mental health representation in these novellas and the way they love each other. This was the truly perfect novella for the Christmas season.
This may be a novella but there is a continuing plot which isn’t heavy in this but still super relevant. You want spice?! Sin of the Season has it. Top notch smut. I was giggling and kicking my feet and literally weeping from between my legs 😝😅 step brothers in a cabin all alone for the holidays? Yeaaaaaa it’s a fucking GRAND time!
I am so excited for the future of Caleb and Miguel and can’t wait to see what’s next.

This was the perfect little Christmas Snack lol
Omg I love Caleb and Miguel so much!!! I'm so happy Izzy decided to give us this short Christmas novella.
We get to see more of Caleb and Miguel's relationship and how it's developed since Halloween. We get to see how much Caleb desires Miguel. He's not the same shy little boy who's afraid to ask for what he wants!
We get to see a softer Miguel, the domestic side, the loving side, and it melts your heart!! But we also still get the dominant big brother who loves to tease his brat!

Another shot of Miguel and Caleb, this time a festive one, and I demolished it faster than you can say “Sin of the Season”. This time the boys get the chance to get away together on their own, and have some X-rated fun.
I absolutely cannot get enough of these two. The way Miguel just knows what’s Caleb’s thinking and reassures him plus helps him with his anxiety. The way he just takes care of him in whatever way he needs. All his sweet words… Urgh, I LOVE IT SO MUCH!
I also adored that Caleb’s a bit bolder in this one. He does bratty so well!
I am so in love with these two stepbros already after these two novellas. These small tasters have me wanting so much more! I cannot wait for their full novel, Disarm (out 27 Feb!).

Sin of the Season is the novella I didn’t know I needed. Caleb and Miguel alone in a snow-covered cabin, away from prying eyes, wrapped up in each other? Absolute perfection.
This installment feels intimate in the best way. It’s just them. No outside noise. No distractions. Just two men learning each other, loving each other, and finally getting the space to breathe together. Watching them exist in their own little world was everything.
The chemistry? Still off the charts. The tension? Delicious. The spice? Hot and beautifully written. But what really got me was the softness between them. Seeing Caleb more relaxed, more open, and watching Miguel continue to handle him with patience and care made my heart melt.
There’s something special about getting to witness them away from judgment and chaos. Their connection feels deeper here. More secure. More certain. And honestly, I just love them so much.
This novella is cute, intimate, steamy, and full of heart. The perfect continuation of their journey.

I cannot explain the way I love these characters. For those who don't know this is Miguel and Caleb's second book. I highly recommend Trick Of The Flesh before this one.
Izzy has once again written an amazing love story but also she has given us a peak into Caleb's mind again. I love Miggy, I want a Miggy for myself. Caleb however is a character that I greatly relate to. The way Izzy has lovingly written. him, he is a character that I think will always hold a special place in my heart.
I will always be grateful to Izzy for writing Caleb! Mental Health is important and Caleb is that character that makes some of us who have these same thoughts and feelings seen.

🖤 Anyways now time for the review. Izzy!!😭🥹 These boys are absolutely perfect, I’m obsessed with them. I loved seeing their relationship grow and blossom from what it was in TOTF. We get to see different sides of them, Caleb being more confident in who and what he wants, and we see Miguel’s softer more loving side. Caleb surprised me, he’s so much more vocal about what he wants/needs and Miguel is there to give him that and so much more every time. Miguel really went all out with making this the perfect Christmas and vacation Caleb could’ve asked for. Not only did he deliver in the Christmas vibes, but he also showered him with so much love and care. It was so sweet to read, some of those scenes had me tearing up cause I could feel the love they have for each other, and I can’t wait to see what else you have in store for these boys.

These boys make me want to cry in the best possible way!
I knew I would love this after having read Miguel and Caleb’s Halloween novella. This is just as good and just as profound in all the ways. Thank you Izzy for blessing us with the gift of Miggy & Caleb this Christmas! 🎄🎅 This book was everything I craved from & for Miggy & Caleb moving forward with their relationship. I liked how it pretty much just felt like a continuation of their last story & we were just along for the ride! I love how Miggy has really fallen into being more caring & loving (even though he hasn't said the "L" word yet) with Caleb & wants nothing more than his happiness. It would be absolutely amazing if we could get a Miggy & Caleb book for every holiday 😍 Then maybe they could finally express how much they love each other out loud in a Valentines book!!!!

I had the honor of beta reading this book and I still cannot get enough of Miggy and Caleb!!
We pick with these two step brothers at Christmas time for this novella, a cabin getaway and it’s Christmas, there is tinsel, there’s “Santa”, more of our favorite primal play, and more of Miguel loving Caleb exactly how he needs. I cannot get over how Izzy writes the dynamic of these two, alone and as a couple. There are perfection and deserve all the happy ever after.

I don’t think I’ll get over this couple. I just love them so much. The care, the love, the consent, the connection, it’s quite literally everything.
This was the perfect holiday novella after their Halloween novella. You see their relationship evolve into so much more in these 87 pages.
The spice was SPICING.

Miguel and Caleb manage to get away to a cabin on their own for Christmas. Their parents aren’t happy about them not sharing Christmas with them but the guys feel they needed to be together alone to explore more of their relationship…by that I mean lots of ‘fun’ 🤭

UGH. I am OBSESSED with Miguel and Caleb. These two have my whole heart. This little holiday novella was the perfect combination of spicy and feel good romance. It was such a beautiful little peak back into the relationship between these two and a lovely way to see the way in which their relationship has grown in the month and a half since Halloween. I cannot wait to read their full length book when it comes out!
