Pucking Forever #2

Lucky Puckers

Rate this book
One betrayal. One eviction. My only option is my stepbrother’s place. He’s sin with a smirk, and I hate him for it. His NHL roommates are trouble I’m not allowed to touch.

I need the couch.
I need self-control more.

Jason Walman. Left wing for the Milwaukee Fury and certified pain in my ass. He answers the door shirtless and lays down the if it wears a Fury jersey, it doesn’t touch me.

Cute. I’m terrible with rules.

Zayne Bishop, the new goalie. Ice-blue stare, scarred brow, quiet command. His hand settles on my hip, a silent claim, and his slow smile says he plans to keep me.

Brodie Quinn, defenseman. Six-five, inked, dimples that ruin me. He flirts like it’s cardio and kisses me like winning is the only thing he’s ever learned.

Jason keeps inserting himself. Says he’s protecting the room. The season. Me.
I don’t buy it.
Not when his jaw ticks every time I smile at Zayne.
Not when his fists clench when Brodie touches my arm.
Not when the air sparks if I step too close.

I came for a couch. I landed in a scandal waiting to happen. Three men who feel like trouble in different flavors. One wrong move and the city eats me alive. One right one and I burn the rulebook.

Filthy Puckers is a high-heat hockey reverse harem romance. MFMM, why-choose, and sinfully soft underneath the grit. No cliffhangers. No cheating. HEA guaranteed. Standalone.

Mila Wilde writes steamy books for women who want it all, heat, heart, and more than one man who worships the ground they walk on.

Her heroines are soft when they want to be, savage when they need to be, and never have to settle for less than everything.

If you’re looking for slow burns that explode, threesomes that turn into foursomes, and men who actually communicate (and still know how to ruin you in the best way)… you’re in the right place.

Mila writes like the door’s locked and no one’s watching. Come join the chaos. It’s hot in here.

Okay, everyone knows I love hockey romance, but this one blew me away. Whewwwwww!!! I mean, who wouldn't want three hot, rich hockey players all worshiping you?? I absolutely devoured this book.

Sylvie knows all about struggle, and at 26 years old, she only has one person to call when chaos finds her yet again - her stepbrother, Jason Walman, Left Wing for the Milwaukee Fury. What she doesn't know is that all of Jason's rooms are already occupied by Brodie and Zayne, who also play for the Fury.

Now, buckle up for a wild ride! Holy mackerel! We get to be a part of the journey that brings them all together as one big happy family. Mila Wilde does a fantastic job with character development. Getting to know each of them helps you see how they can actually be a happy family of four.

The love scenes are SUPER spicy and very well done. Can't wait for my next Mila Wilde read!

I had the amazing opportunity for an ARC copy of this book to review.

Three men. Three rules. She broke every rule and took them with her.

When Sylvie gets kicked out and shows up on her estranged stepbrother Jason’s doorstep, she’s hit with three rules: don’t touch anyone in a Fury jersey, don’t make noise, and don’t cause trouble. Jason, left wing for the Milwaukee Fury, is all clipped warnings and simmering tension. His teammates, Zayne, the quiet goalie with sharp eyes, and Brodie, the inked defenseman who flirts like it’s his job, are completely off-limits. But lines blur fast when chemistry refuses to behave.

Zayne’s the steady one, all calm presence and unspoken depth. Brodie’s the heart-on-his-sleeve type, full of warmth and chaos. Jason’s the boundary she never meant to test but can’t seem to avoid. What starts as tension turns into something layered, something real, and holding onto it might cost them more than they planned.

Sylvie’s not looking for love. She’s looking for a place to land that won’t collapse under her. But what she finds is a bond that holds, even when everything else shakes. It’s messy, intense, and full of the kind of intimacy that doesn’t ask her to be anything less than whole.

Jason learns how to care without control. Zayne finds stability in connection. Brodie stays loyal but grows deeper. Sylvie, once guarded and on her own, lets herself be seen, held, and chosen. What starts with survival turns into a partnership built on trust, communication, and something stronger than rules.

A steamy, hockey reverse harem, stepbrother, forbidden, roommates to lovers romance exploring love, healing, identity, trust, forgiveness, emotional safety, chosen family, and growth. It’s about rebuilding from trauma, finding safety in chaos, and redefining love without limits or shame. Just one woman, three fiercely loyal men, and the freedom to break every rule to build something real. ‍

The Elevator Pitch: A sinfully steamy reverse harem hockey romance where one rule-breaking woman turns a house full of off-limits men into something unforgettable. Packed with emotional tension, forbidden attraction, and protective love in every flavor, it hits hard and loves harder. Come for the chaos, stay for the heat, and fall for a love that refuses to follow the rules.

Read it in a day didn't want to put it down.
Our fmc is a bad bitch and I love the bratty mouth she has no holds.
The 3 mmc pair very nicely together all very different but work well together.
The Story is well written very easy to read with both light and heavy topics that flow with nothing seeming forced.
The spice is there but isn't smut but I don't mind it just feels just right.

Sylvie wouldn’t argue that things had been going great necessarily, but at least they had been going well enough that she wasn’t quite feeling like the family screw up her mother has always insisted she is. There’s something about being strong armed by your step-brother’s doorman, after being sent to voicemail, after making yourself homeless by dumping your boyfriend all before the sun rises that makes you questions things a bit more though.

Jason is the last person Sylvie wants to lean on, and she’s not ignorant to the fact that he sees her as little more than an annoyance to manage, but she needs to lean on someone for just a minute even if it comes with a lecture, and he’s her option.

Two weeks tops, that’s the mantra that’s going to get her through this with her sanity intact. Or at least she thought it was going to, but that was before she met Jason’s roommates, now she might need something a bit more fortifying if she wants to make it out of this temporary situation in one piece.

This narrative is fast paced and an enjoyable read; it is a complete standalone, but does exist in an interconnected world. I was surprised by how felt relatively low stakes, even though it did contain a fair amount of drama (anticipated familial and otherwise).

Sylvie is a strong character, and the other leads are interesting enough that the narrative feels relatively balanced.

Even though this narrative does move fairly quick, there were some sections where the pacing felt a bit rushed. Especially towards the end.

Jason’s apology to Sylvie was a bit under performed and glossed over in my opinion, but I don’t know that there was really time for a more elaborate grovel, and at least she held out for an actual apology and conversation.

This does conclude with a happily ever after and two epilogues, so the characters are throughly settled by the time you’re done reading.

Overall, a cute, lower stakes, easily digestible read.

Sylvie is used to hard knocks, so when she walks in on her boyfriend with someone else, it's just another hit she has to take. The worst part is having to turn to her step-brother, Jason, for somewhere to crash until she can sort out new accommodation. Jason, the perfect son, according to her mother, has butted heads with her since their teens, but there has always been an undercurrent to them as well. The only thing, Jason is now sharing his place with two of his teammates, is there room for one more?

Zayne is surprised when he finds out who Jason's step-sister is, someone he has thought about for the last couple of years. Brodie takes one look at Sylvie and is hooked immediately. The attraction is felt immediately between the three of them, but Sylvie wants more; she wants Jason to acknowledge and accept what is going on between them, too.

The four of them have to deal with the reality of their relationship and how others perceive it. Not only on the poly level, but also how the stigma of step-siblings colours people's attitudes. Can their love hold when others try to tear it asunder? But when reality bites, it makes you look at what you have and what is important in your life, and makes you see things clearly and what you are willing to fight for.

Mila Wilde – Lucky Puckers
Rating – 5 Stars

Who is this author that came out of nowhere for me and keeps me on my toes chapter by chapter for each book I read?
From the synopsis you can sort of imagine what is waiting but once it actually hits, it REALLY hit and hits HARD and you will be loving each word and turn those pages fast than ever.
The characters are just wonderful and so authentic.
Connection between them is undeniable and so emotionally charged I felt it in my bones and at some parts it I had to remind myself to breathe.

Some aspects of the storyline sure did resembled Dirty Puckers but that’s fine.
Sylvie is one lucky girl where she has her step-brother Jason trying to fight his feelings for her that both had since childhood, Zayne her one-night stand from a few years ago that was the best sex (so far) she ever had, and then we have Brodie the charismatic and easy going guy who always has a way to make her smile.

As said lucky, lucky girl 😉

I really enjoyed reading this and loving the tension loaded parts the most.
And truly loved how it all played out, it could not have been written any better.

Mindfulness.

A very steamy and funny read, but also one that tackles some heavy topics.

We have an RH with:
– Three MMCs, one of them her stepbrother. They are great friends and teammates with very different personalities, which strengthens both their friendship and their bond with the FMC.
– A wonderful FMC who is a complete hurricane — a force of nature and a fighter. She knows what she wants and, unlike with her feelings, she isn’t afraid to ask for it.

The writing style felt a bit different from what I’m used to. It’s more direct — instead of using many words to explain what’s happening, the author goes straight to the point.
I found it refreshing and very clear.

When it comes to the steamy moments, though, the author really takes her time, allowing us to feel the intensity and the connection between the characters.
It’s a beautifully fast-burn.

The plot delivers strong emotional intensity, combined with a touch of realism through the challenges they face while fighting for their relationship — both against the world and within themselves.
They all carry emotional baggage, which adds even more depth to the story.

And that ending? Simply excellent. What a beautiful HEA.

🌶🌶🌶🌶

Sylvie walks in on her boyfriend cheating and doesn't react with emotion; instead, she just packs up and leaves. With nowhere to go, she goes to her step-brother Jason's apartment. He happens to be an NHL hockey player. He is not excited to see her, but what she doesn't know is that he has loved her and wanted nothing but to protect her. He lets her stay there with him and his two teammates, but he loves rules, and his number one is, "She is off-limits." That's where a story of attraction, love, and battles between hearts and bodies begins.

I loved how strong-willed Sylvie was, but she had been beaten down by her mom's (and Jason's) words for so long that she was not confident in her life choices. Brodie and Zayne were both great at making her feel welcome and wanted in their own ways. Jason was trying to fight the internal battle of loving someone but never crossing a line. Together, they each matched one another's energy and built a great foundation for a shared love.

Each character overcame their own hurdles throughout the story, but I wished I could have seen more growth from her mother and stepfather. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a feisty FMC with a lot of heat and three MMCs who would burn the earth to save their lady.

4.25 stars. This story is quadruple POV, well written and edited, and a fast-paced, emotionally charged, sports, reverse harem, contemporary romance between Sylvie, the female bartender lead left homeless when she finds her boyfriend cheating, and Jason, the male professional hockey player lead and her stepbrother who she’s had a crush on for years, plus his house and team mates, Zayne, who Sylvie had a hook up with two years ago, and Brodie, who presents as a jokester. I empathised with the different emotional pain each character brought to the story and appreciated the way that the others encouraged healing and wholeness, even as they struggled with individual burdens. I enjoyed Sylvie’s enthusiasm for life. I enjoyed Jason’s care and protectiveness, even when he expressed it poorly. I enjoyed Zayne’s calm steadiness and Brodie’s playfulness. I enjoyed the steamy intimate scenes, and the genuine sharing that all males were willing/eager to engage in (though this was a sword cross free adventure). I enjoyed the resolution the characters settled into, and the way they found for themselves.

Loved it. This was only the second book I have read by this author and I was thoroughly impressed and hooked by the story and characters.
The characters seemed to develop naturally and were engaging although I did find it hard to warm up to Sylvie and Jason initially.
There was plenty of steamy and emotional scenes that spiced things up that kept me turning pages. This romance or love story between 4 people - Sylvie, Brodie, Zayne and Jason does depict the obstacles and hang-ups that they face both individually and as a group, but with devotion and perseverance they help each other and find themselves a relationship and family dynamic outside of convention - I found that I couldn't not root for them and a satisfying HEA outcome.
I would definitely recommend and look forward to reading the other title in this 2 book series.

I really liked the story. I liked the characters. Zayne and Brodie were my favorite. I could understand where Jason was coming from but he does redeem himself

Her mom can definitely go F off and I feel bad for the FMC and having to deal with her toxic mother.

The story was full of spice and oh man they sure did love to pleasure her and worship her 🥵 they had a lot of hot moments and honestly I don’t blame her for wanting all 3

Honestly the only reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the condoms. I appreciate how much care the author put into making sure they were having safe sex but it was distracting to me. Every time they were about to have sex they put it on and then tied it off or took it off. So it was a lot of times condoms were mentioned. Apparently for reading, it’s just not my thing and that’s okay 🤷‍♀️.

So what if you want three book boyfriends at the same time, don't let anybody yuck your yum...

This why-choose hockey romance was absolutely delicious! I loved everything about it. It's fun and sexy and I was hooked from beginning to end. The spice was spicing.

Mila Wilde did not disappoint in the least, the way things played out between the characters was fantastic. I loved the multiple POVs and each character's inner monologues.

Sylvie is such a great FMC, I loved her sarcasm the most.
Jason is her step-brother who has it is bad for Sylvie forever. He's a grumpy total type A personality.
Brodie is our golden retriever and super sweet total flirt.
And then we have Zayne whom she had a one-night-stand with. He's the stoic calm one.

Together they make the perfect found family dynamic.

Tropes:

MFMM
High heat
Step-brother
Forbidden
Hockey
Protective

I LOVE this book!! Mila Wilde writes with passion, joy, and love! Sylvie covered her heart and hurt with chaos: always a smart mouth, never a dull moment, and never let anyone see how much she felt. Jason, Brodie, and Zayne are just as vulnerable in their own ways, but they hide behind rules, humor, or calmness. I loved getting to know them: their personalities, their stories, their strengths and weaknesses, and most of all how protective they were of each other!

I’m a huge fan of RH: and this one was special! There’s lots of drama, suspense, and intensely emotional! Hockey gods, step brother, mental illness covered with sensitivity, and plenty of intimacy full of care! Sylvie broke my heart, but her men are so perfect for her that I’d read their story again! Loved it! Amazing plot, very spicy, and the epilogues left me feeling happy!!.

I have read and reviewed several books by Mila Wilde and feel as though I’m always writing the same things. I point out how much I like her writing style, how invested I become in the characters, how those characters grow and evolve over the length of the book and are multi-faceted. And how the love story is always well balanced within the larger story, and the relationships feel natural and deep. “Lucky Puckers” is no different. This is yet another well written tale of a woman and the three men she finds herself involved with. Sylvie has been knocked down but is in no way out. And Jason, Zayne and Brodie are just the ones to show her what life can be like with three adoring men all committed to her. Fantasy? Yup. The very best kind.

Phew **fans herself** One cheating Ex-boyfriend and losing her home leaves Sylvie with no choice but to ask for help from her Hockey player - Jason. Only they don't exactly have a great relationship mainly because of his love of rules and how she likes to break them all. The biggest one being don't sleep with his Hockey playing roommates - Zayne & Brodie. Easily said than done. Which kicked off plenty of hot as hell steamy scenarios between all of them including Jason. Things made it more difficult for them by how their relationship will be perceived by everyone including their families. A major factor for Jason much more than the other two guys.

This was much more than a steamy read because each man brought on all of the feels. Making it a better read for me I thought. The epilogues were a great touch too. Loved It.

Lucky Puckers was such a fun surprise—my first hockey romance, and definitely not my last. This is a full-length MFMM ménage with plenty of spice, drama, and emotional depth. Each MMC brings something unique to the relationship, and together they complement the FMC in a way that feels balanced, supportive, and genuinely heartwarming.

The characters grow both individually and as a unit, facing challenges and learning to trust one another along the way. Their dynamic is sexy, sweet, and full of authentic connection, all leading to a deeply satisfying HEA.

A steamy, high-heat romance with heart—this one absolutely delivers.

Mila does it again with this spicy taboo hockey reverse-harem read. The last place Silvie wants to go is her stepbrothers but with no one else around it's the only option. Shes just looking to stay for a couple of weeks to search for her own place after leaving her cheating crazy ex. Not knowing he has roommates and one of them ends up being a one night stand from two years ago that she never forgot about. Between the feelings Jason and Sylvie have always surpressed for each other, the night with Zayne, and the almost instant attraction to Brodie, Sylvie has no idea what to do. Jason's rules are no, no, no, but Brodie and Zayne have other ideas. This fast paced read will have you turning pages.

Oh, Honey! Where are my hockey hunks and how can I get my hands on them? Beyond the inferno between these bodies that will melt even the thickest, toughest, spikiest ice, is the soul-deep connection that stands unshakable in the face and in spite of the hardest, meanest, most hurtful forces, and comes out all the stronger for it. If fully-loaded mashed potatoes are stick-to-your-ribs fare, then this book (really, this series) is stick-to-your-soul and so much more comforting, from the inside out. Let all the chaos roll and hold on, ‘cuz this hurricane is coming…..and you will never be the same after.

Hockey romance (reverse harem).
Sylvie is a young bartender who has just caught her boyfriend in bed with another woman. She decides to flee their apartment and seek refuge with her controlling stepbrother. There, she meets Zayne and Brodie, her roommates and teammates on their hockey team. Zayne is also someone with whom she had a passionate night she can't forget. As they all share the same apartment, tensions rise between them, and hidden secrets come to light.
Will Sylvie find a beautiful romance with these men, or will their families and the press tear them apart….

Sooooooooo......I had other books to read first. But......I just wanted a little peek. Like just a glimpse.

Next thing I know I am barreling my way through the chapters like I am on a deadline. The other books are pouting and calling out but...do I listen...no. Am I distressed over my choices? Again, no. Regrets? Hard no. Would I do it again? YES.

There is a portion where I had to take a time-out because I couldn't deal; when I forced my way through it, I was relieved.

I loved these humans and their story.

The last person she wants to call is Jason her step brother, but he is the only one that she can. What she does not expect is Zayne and Brodie to be there, or that Zayne is the same guy that she had a one not stand with. Jason's rules are simple if it wears a jersey it is off limits, she does not like to follow the rules very much. When the guys finally get him to admit how he feels about her all bets are off.

This is about Sylvie, Jason, Zayne, and Brodie. I liked that when they get together it felt natural. Sylvie is a strong character that won’t allow anyone to walk all over her. With an ex that can’t let go and some family drama, the ending felt well-earned. They were able to grow past some of their faults and found happiness together. Sometimes the strongest family we have, is the one we choose. Overall, a good story.

I have been on such a hockey kick lately and this book was everything!! Sylvie needs a place to crash after seeing her bf with two other girls. She knows the only one she can call is Jason. He’s her stepbrother that’s all rules and hates her chaos. He tells her no touching of his roommates with a few other rules. However, Brodie loves to push rules and Zayne was already a one night stand a few years ago. This is such a great why choose plus stepbrother hockey romance. You honestly can’t go wrong reading this book!

I’m officially a big fan of this author and plan to read more of her works. Absolutely loved the angst in this one. It portrayed forbidden love and guilt so perfectly. I also enjoyed that the main characters didn’t make excuses for the toxic family members and chose themselves. I loved how Jason is portrayed, while he doesn’t always say the right things, his actions in taking care of the fmc shows how in love he is.

Hockey, RH, stepbrother, roommates, and more...
I loved Sylvie's story. The plot was captivating and I loved the main characters.
We got drama, some humor, lots of feels, tension, and spice.
Sylvie was strong and sassy.
Jason, Zayne, and Brodie. I liked each of them. They complimented each other and fit the FMC just right.
I loved how their relationship developed. It seemed to happen naturally and the chemistry was perfect.

She's off limits, they're always around tempting her and testing her self-control. Sylvie needed a couch to crash on. Jason needed her out of his hair. Zayne wanted to keep her and Brodie had to win like always. Mila had me on the edge of the couch not wanting this drama to end. These boys are definitely three Lucky Puckers.

This is being said with the most respect as hockey romance is a thing I can't get enough of. Blows my mind this one. The story is of a girl who is evicted and can't get a place to stay but at her stepbrothers place. What she doesn't know is that the rooms he has extra are in use already. By his teammates and fellow hockey players. Now just sit down, relax and enjoy the story really. Couldn't put it down.
