I'm Noah Fearly, a former child star with a serious adrenaline addiction and a thorough disregard for my own mortality.
But you might know me by my ClikByte name. Maybe you even follow me? You and ninety-seven million others.
NoFear.
It's not just my name; it's my whole identity. Edgy, daring, dangerous stunts executed anonymously and uploaded to my channel for my followers to view.
But the day my brother nearly died changed everything. I was forced to sign a contract that went against my gut, and now I'm dealing with the consequences of being the newest member of Olympus—a team of ClikByters who live, eat, sleep, and breathe social media content. A team known for hordes of female followers, unhealthy parasocial relationships with fans, and a significant allergy to shirts.
Tattooed, pierced, and rocking every delicious, bad-boy image possible, Olympus has remained in the top spot on ClikByte since the app was created.
The last thing they want or need is a girl messing with their brand.
Look, no one is more surprised than I am that I had to DNF this. As a Tate fan, I have devoured all of her books, but for some reason that I cannot fathom, this book and I were not vibing.
So, here's the thing. I've said this before, and I feel it bears repeating, I think that relationship dynamics should be listed in the front matter of a book. The vague details approach feels like a money grab. People like what they like and don't like what they don't like. But, if they do not know what's in a book, they are forced to either get it and read it and hope for the best, or search everywhere for spoilers. Some people don't care about relationship dynamics, and that is great for them! So, an author putting the relationship situation at the front of the book shouldn't bother them one way or another--fantastic, win/win!
I say all of that, because I'm not too sure where this book is going, but there is a heavy implication (to me) that there will be MM happening within the harem. Listen, I love MM books; I just don't love MM in my RH books. I will extend this to say that I would not be into, nor would I like, MF in my RH books either. For example, if the FMC has a harem member that is female, I would not want that female to hook up with one of the other male harem members. I don't like any of that, or any variation of that--it feels like cheating to me. So, a simple little relationship dynamic heads up at the beginning of the book would really be helpful and appreciated.
Aside from that, I found myself struggling to really get into the story. When I read the novella prequel Oblivion, I was hooked. So, imagine my surprise when 6 chapters into NoFear I found myself skimming the pages!! SKIMMING.THE.PAGES! I've never done that with a James book! Needless to say, it did not get any better for me, and I finally threw in the towel.
I am a mood reader, so it's possible that I'm just not in the mood for this book at the moment. It's possible I pick it up in a month and love it (let's hope so since I have like several copies already on preorder). However, as usual, I'm in the minority when it comes to how I feel about things, so don't base your reading of the book on me; seriously, you'll probably totally love it, like everyone else--but for me, this one is a no (for now).
Title: NoFear Author: Tate James Series: ClikByte Book 1
What to expect: *Hidden identity *Extreme stunt influencers *Why choose relationship
Written very well, just not for me. I fear I may be too old for this authors books at this point. The characters are so young and into such extreme activities, all while live streaming every part of their life. It just gives me the creeps thinking of millions of people watching me do anything.
The book ends on a major cliff hanger, and includes several graphic scenes and one death of a side character. Contains no spicy scenes between the FMC and any of the MMC’s.
Safety: One of the MMC’s has an on again, off again girl friend. She gives him a BJ on page, he is picturing a different girl during the act.
Thank you to Edelweiss, the author, and Bloom Books for the opportunity to read and review this title.

Noah Fearly, AKA NoFear on the popular social media platform ClikByte, was forced to sign a contract with the biggest team on the platform when a stunt went wrong and left her at risk for major legal problems. Now she finds herself stuck in a content house with 7 guys, cameras recording their every move, and a major competition looming over their heads. But the biggest challenge of all? Hiding the fact that Noah Fearly is actually a girl and not the little guy they all think she is. She’s a girl with a long history on the platform that could come back to damage her reputation, and her newfound team’s.
I can already tell you, this series is going to make its way into my favorite series of all time list. Immediately hooked from the prequel, and absolutely obsessed the second I started NoFear. I know I’m horrible for begging for book 2 when book 1 isn’t actually released yet but alas… here I am…🤭
This book was seriously addicting. I read the first 80% in a single sitting, and absolutely would have finished it if I hadn’t decided to be responsible and told myself I couldn’t go to work on only 4 hours of sleep. Do yourself a favor and pick up this series immediately.
Noah was easily one of my favorite FMCs in a long time. I’m always here for the girl pretending to be a guy trope, and I LIVE for the tough adrenaline junkie with a soft side she shows those she cares about. She fit in so perfectly with the Team Olympus group and I loved watching her build bonds with each of the guys.
There are seven guys living with her in the Team Olympus house: - Ace Hart, the team leader - Xavier Stone, Noah’s ex-celebrity crush (not that she’d ever let him know) - Zeth ‘Z’ Briggs, the son of a rockstar - Torin Mura, the incredible artist - Park Minho, the former kpop idol - August Gamble, the trickshot marksman - Skye Smith, the golden retriever adrenaline junkie All of the guys were a blast - even if I wanted to whack Xavier now and then. They were all extremely welcoming to Noah and made every effort to make her (him to them) feel safe and included in their found family. Without a doubt though, Skye secured his spot as number one this book. He’s such a great friend and roommate to Noah, I adore this man.
Tate wasn’t kidding when she mentioned a kpop element to this book. As a STAY, it was so much fun to find all the little Stray Kids references. The scenarios that take place while filming content for their ClikBytes felt very SKZ CODE-esque which was so much fun and the group dynamic is also very kpop coded. Between the fan service and the casual affection, I was having such a great time.
I was lucky enough to recieve this ARC from Edelweiss. All thoughts are my own. 🩷
I honestly wasn’t prepared for how quickly this book pulled me in because a group of tattooed influencers living their best shirtless lives was not something I expected to care about this much… and yet I absolutely did. This feels like a new direction for Tate and I really enjoyed the shift. It’s a slower build than her usual chaos but the tension simmers the entire time and keeps you turning pages. The ClikByte world is dramatic, flashy and a little over the top but leaning into that energy made the story ridiculously fun to read.
Noah thrives on bad decisions and adrenaline and I loved how unpredictable she was. Seeing her forced into the Olympus contract set the tone straight away. There are a lot of Olympus boys to meet and while some grabbed my attention immediately, others still have some convincing to do. Watching their resistance to Noah shaking up their image added such a good layer of conflict though. And that ending?? Completely unfair. I closed this book already desperate for the next one.
Tate James like you’ve never seen her before! Creatively inspired, addictively page turning, devilishly clever, and (gasp!) deliriously slow burning, No Fear is like nothing I’ve read before…and epically alluring. It’s playful, it’s fun, yet the stakes are still high and the suspense is thick. This series is going to be a WILD ride, and I can’t wait for more!
4.5 ⭐️ What a journey this book took me on and that cliffhanger?! I loved this premise and these characters after reading Oblivion so I was really excited to finally get into a novel and it did not disappoint. August cannot come sooner because I fear I need more of Team Olympus.
Thank you to Bloom for sending me and advanced reader copy!

I am one of the biggest Tate James fans and will read anything she writes, but I will admit that this book had some things I loved and some things I didn't love.
This is the first book in the ClikByte series which follows our main character Noah after she gets blackmailed into joining a content creator team that is participating in a social media competition, but the thing is, it's an all men team, so she has to pretend to be man. She has a huge following already as NoFear, but she has always worn a helmet cloaking her identity.
First of all I absolutely love this cast of characters and while there are like 8 main characters we are following, I felt like this was a great introduction into them and I loved learning each of these creators niches. I also love that at the beginning we know this is going to be a why choose romance and that as the reader we have no idea who is going to be in this why choose group in the end.
I also love the "She's the man"/"twelfth night" vibes of this story. I love that so many of these main characters are Queer and it adds an interesting element to these men finding themselves attracted to Noah.
This book almost felt like a whole book prequel. There are just so many characters to get to know, and this whole new world of content creation for so many different niches and I feel like the actual story didn't start until the final 25% of this book. This book does end on a cliffhanger so beware of that.
I did read "Oblivion" before jumping into this one. "Oblivion" is book 0.5 in this series so it is the actual prequel novella. The events in this novella aren't really addressed in this book until the very end for reasons that I don't want to give away. It's somewhat confusing because if you haven't read this 0.5 Novella I don't think it would make a huge difference, but it was weird knowing something that most of the characters didn't. It was very weird and I'm not sure I enjoyed this aspect. It either should have been included in this book or not at all, but making it it's own story was very weird and it will give readers very different experiences when picking up this series.
There is very minimal spice in this book. Which I honestly felt fit for this specific story and didn't mind there being basically no spice, but if someone who normally reads Tate James' why choose books picks this up expecting typical Tate James, they may be surprised by that if they didn't know before picking it up, so I felt like it's important to mention.
My biggest problem with this book is in the editing. I'm not someone who usually notices things like this, but it happened so many times it started to stick out even to me. There were moments that were repetitive that had me flipping back cause I had felt I read something before, and when I would flip back I had. There is a moment where Noah explains something to the reader in their internal monologue, and then a chapter or two later Noah explains the exact same thing again in their internal monologue. That type of situation happened multiple times while I was reading this and it really stuck out to me. Now this is an advanced copy that I received so it is very possible it was a version before some edits, but as someone who reads a lot of ARCs this is the first instance I have personally had of feeling like there was a significant amount of editing that still needed to be done. I have a finished copy preordered and I'll be interested to see if that is still an issue when I do a re-read of the finished copy before reading book 2
Overall I loved this and I'm exciting to see where it goes, but it did feel very much like an introduction rather than a book 1.
let me preface this by saying i absolutely devoured the madison kate & hades books - they were my personality trait for sooo long - so i was ready to have a silly goofy time here. And this Was fun and entertaining in typical tate james fashion, i Did fly through these pages, but i just had so many issues with this.
the whole idea of having a girl join an influencer group of guys who have no idea that she’s actually a woman for the 7 weeks that this book takes place in while living together in the same household and spending every waking moment together is just so unbelievable like there’s no way?? like it all works out because she wears baggy clothing and has a naturally deep voice?? i don’t think i can suspend my disbelief that much. what pushed me to keep reading was so that i could finally get to the part where the guys find out about her secret, but even that… anyways.
also SEVEN MEN??? IM Supposed to follow and keep up with and CARE ABOUT SEVEN MEN?? i think that we could’ve brought it down to 4 of these guys and it would’ve been just fine.
however if there’s one thing that tate james knows how to do, based on the mk & hades series, it’s write some slowburn tension romance that stretches out over the course of a series. this whole book builds up noah’s relationship with the other guys, whether platonic or romantic, and leaves you dying for more interactions btwn them. like i wanted more from minnie x noah plsss he was my favorite for sure.
and god the writing. if i took a shot every time a character asked another how they’re doing, whats wrong, something’s on your mind what is it, etc god id die of alcohol poisoning. please find other ways to further your plot and character development other than this lazy method. i feel like she did the same thing in the other^ book series but it is so boring stop it.
i truly did enjoy the concept of being social media influencers and being in the public eye and fan service and everything. the scene where they were doing a public fan event when she and xavier had to sit together and were made to wear the same bracelets was fun and i wish we got to see more stuff like that. as someone that was a 1d stan and super in the online fandom i felt a bit nostalgic at those scenes.
the ending was also typical tate james fashion, a sudden scary thing happens and then boom cliffhanger. i will be seated for the next one don’t doubt it but i just wanted to have a silly time and kick my feet in the air but nope
I had such a good time with this book. How could I not when we've got an adrenaline junkie FMC, 7 MMCs, secrets upon secrets and a big social media competition?
Noah Feeley is a gal with secrets. So many secrets! One of her biggest secrets is that she is NoFear, a huge account on the social media platform ClickByte. NoFear has gained millions of followers by pulling all sorts of crazy stunts and her anonymity is what's kept her out of jail. I know in this review I have already mentioned secrets a bunch of times, but seriously Noah's keeping so many secrets I don't know how she is functioning.
The Click Games (a competition on ClickByte where the winners are the team with the most clicks) are coming up and the people behind Team Olympus have discovered some of her secrets and have blackmailed her into joining the team. Slight problem, the guys on the team have no idea she's a lady and she has to live with them for the duration of the Games.
Everyone in Team Olympus also has a huge ClickByte following. They all put out different kinds of contents and are known for their thirst traps. Of course they also have a crazy fanbase too. Noah has to somehow join in pretending to be one of the guys. That's a bit tricky when all the guys are gorgeous.
There was so much going on in this book, I'm glad I'm not Noah because I would have been STRESSED. The secret identity is just the tip of the iceberg with her.
This wasn't as spicy as a typical Tate James book, but with so many dudes involved I think it's safe to say that NoFear was just setting things up nicely for the rest of the series and I love a slow-burn.
Noah develops so many connections good and bad with the guys on the team and I honestly don't know who my fave is, I love them all.
I did struggle a bit to believe that none of the guys worked out that she was actually a woman at first sight, but this is fiction and I can go along with pretty much anything.
I flew through NoFear and I can't wait for book two. I need to know what happens next!
If you like a badass FMC, multi-POVs, RH, slow burn, suspense and banter NoFear is worth the read.
Thank you Tate James and team for sending me an arc for a fair and honest review.
I’ll be honest, if you told me I’d be this invested in a bunch of tattooed influencers who seem to have a literal allergy to shirts, I’d have said you were dreaming. But here we are. Tate James has taken a bit of a turn with this one, and I am absolutely into it.
I actually caught Tate at an event recently where she mentioned this series would be a much slower burn and a bit of a departure from her usual stuff, and she wasn’t wrong. It’s a fresh, slightly chaotic pivot that still has that high-stakes edge we’ve come to expect. Noah is a total wildcard, a former child star with a serious adrenaline addiction and basically zero regard for her own safety. Watching her get forced into a contract with "Olympus" was such a mood; the "all is fair in love and war" energy is thick enough to cut with a knife.
I will say, my feelings on the Olympus boys are a bit of a mixed bag at this stage. There are a lot of them to keep track of, and I definitely found myself vibing with some more than others. With a cast that big, it’s always going to be a bit of a juggle to see who actually stands out, but the tension of them not wanting a girl "messing with their brand" kept me hooked regardless.
You definitely need to be prepared to suspend your reality a bit. The ClikByte world is shiny, over-the-top, and a little bit wild, but I didn't mind one bit. It felt creative and edgy, and in true Tate James fashion, that cliffhanger is an absolute doozy. I finished this one in a total state of needing book two yesterday. If you’re a fan of her writing but want something that feels a bit more modern and creative, this is a cracking start to a new series.
Big thanks to the author for the opportunity to read this ARC!
OMG what a book! NoFear has been the perfect start to the ClikByte series. I read this book in under 24hrs I could not put it down.
NoFear is the username for one of the top streamers on the ClikByte social media platform and is hiding a secret from the world. Thrown into the ClikByte games with Team Olympus, Noah tries to navigate living with the rest of the team who are 7 gorgeous men who are literal thirst traps and hiding the secret that if it got out it could ruin everything for Noah and her family.
As things progress with the games and Olympus, everyday is becoming more of a struggle. When something happens in the games, it throws even more intrigue to the mix.
Tate James has created an inviting world full of adrenaline, social media, thirst traps and secrets, I am completely hooked. I am now counting down till August when the second book comes out.
There is a prequel short story called Oblivion which I also read before and I think it gives you the perfect start and understanding to NoFear. I would highly recommend reading it first.
The tropes of this book are:
🩷 Secret identity/hidden gender 🤳 Found Family 🩵 Forced Proximity 🩷 Social Media 🤳 Murder Mystery 🩵 Why Choose 🩷 Popularity contest 🤳 Cliffhanger 🩵 K-Pop Elements
If you love forced proximity with 7 gorgeous men who love to take their tops off, adrenaline junkies, why choose, banter and a great cliffhanger, this is the book for you! Run out and preorder now!
I absolutely did not see that coming. I know Tate James is the QUEEN of cliffhangers, but this one might be the most brutal yet ,in the best I need book two immediately kind of way.
Noah, aka NoFear, is an absolute stunner. Her strength, fearlessness, and selflessness are incredible. I wish I was her.
I read Oblivion (the prequel novella) first, which gave me some helpful insight going in. I already didn’t like Rich there, but now? I fully despise him. He’s reached “he who shall not be named” status for me. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted a character written off so badly.
I have a love-hate relationship with the guys in the house. Skye is my clear favorite. He’s a “guys girl,” and I adore him for it. The rest of them seriously need to step it up and get on his level.
This story really embodies all is fair in love and war vibe, except Noah’s biggest war is with herself and her ability to let people in while trying to protect the person she loves most.
Overall, I’m so excited to see how the “Clik Games” unfold and where all these tangled relationships lead.
Personally, I’m rooting for Rich to be written off, Noah to get her HEA, and for Ace to prove he really is the “daddy” energy we’re all hoping for.
I devoured NoFear by Tate James, and now I’m officially obsessed 😭🔥. Think of this as She’s the Man meets the Disney movie Motocrossed meets multiple hot men, adrenaline-fueled chaos, and total bad-boy energy. Noah Fearly is a former child star who only has to hide her identity once she’s pulled into Olympus, the ultimate squad of tattooed, pierced, content kings, all while performing insane stunts for ninety-seven million ClikByte followers.
Being part of Olympus is wild, chaotic, and absolutely addicting. And yes… the men. Each one is so distinct, so hot, so feral… Minho, I see you 😩💥.
The audiobook narrators did a chef’s kiss job, making every stunt, laugh, and swoon hit even harder. And that ending? Tate James truly knows how to leave you hanging on a cliffhanger that ruins your life in the best way possible. I need book two yesterday.
If you’re into secret identities, reckless stunts, multiple addictive bad boys, and a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat while swooning, NoFear is your next obsession. Honestly, I’m jealous of anyone reading this for the first time; you’re in for one wild ride 🔥🔥.
First of all, I need to know how Tate comes up with these ideas. What is going through her brilliant mind that puts these themes together? Whatever it is, keep it up!
This is such a unique take on “why choose,” and I am absolutely here for it. Especially after reading Oblivion and knowing exactly what she doesn’t know. Gosh, I have no words.
Noah Fearly is an adrenaline junkie who films her parkour stunts and posts them anonymously to her massive following. When she’s blackmailed into joining an all-male stunt team and forced to pretend to be “one of the guys,” she knows her secret will come out eventually and ruin everything. What she doesn’t expect is forming real connections with the seven men while trying to keep up the charade.
Torin and Skye are my favorites! I seriously cannot wait to see where their story goes from here. And that ending? I will require months of therapy. 🫠
I trust Tate with my life at this point. I could be in the most awful reading slump and I’d pick up a Tate book and absolutely devour it. I, unsurprisingly, ate this up! The premise had me all kinds of nostalgic about a girlie falling in love while pretending to be a boy (helloooo She’s the man!) And the fact that it’s a group of social media stars in a content house was honestly super fun. It felt fresh and new to me and I’m loving all of the guys. And I’m obsessed with the way the relationships are developing without any of the guys knowing she’s a girl. Also the bestie dynamic between Noah and Skye is so cute! The way I continue to hurt myself by reading unfinished tate series is honestly confounding. I’m actually dying for the next book 😭 but I will do my best to be patient.
Tropes- Secret Girl (disguised as a boy) Secret identity Forced proximity Slow-burn Why choose Murder Mystery Found Family
"Surely I could survive one night without accidentally revealing my vagina, right?"
Thank you to Tate for this ARC for my honest review! Amazing! Think "She's the man", but they're social media stars and she has 7 hot roommates she has to keep her secret from. The tension that is built up is 🔥! Throw in a murder mystery, some blackmail, and this absolutely hooked me! We also get Tate's signature cliffhanger that has me BEGGING for the next book immediately 😬🤭! I do recommend reading the novella prequel, to get a little context of the back story, but it is not absolutely necessary. I enjoyed this so much and recommend to it all my friends!
I swear, every time I pick up a Tate book I ask myself why I do this to myself! Waiting for Book 2 is going to be absolute torture because that cliffhanger was hanging just like Noah… but wow, this book is SO good. I loved it.
I ended up reading the entire thing in one day because I was completely hooked. The character dynamics were top tier and I loved every single character. I was obsessed with every interaction. I also loved that the plot was unique to anything I’ve read before which is always refreshing.
I like going into books blind, so I won’t spoil anything for anyone who prefers the same, but just know this one completely pulled me in.
Another Tate series I’m officially obsessed with and will 100% be adding to my shelves! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
6 STARS!!! I stayed up until 5 am reading this-I’ve loved every book by Tate but I am absolutely obsessed with this new world and characters she has created. I’m going to need her to change her mind and give us at least 8 books with these characters 😂
One of my favorite tropes is definitely “FMC has to hide her identity by pretending to be a boy” and I adored Noah so much. But also, Skye High? Please, can I find a bestie like him??? And the other guys on team Olympus *drool* I cannot wait to see the relationships continue to develop over this series…
The ending definitely has me feral for the next book!
Noah Fearly, handle NoFear might be one of my favorite FMCs.
NoFear book one in the ClikByte series follows Noah, an anonymous adrenaline junkie with a large social media platform who finds herself in a legal pickle that requires her to pose as a boy for a social media game with a big brother element.
Noah finds herself as part of a 8 member, all male, team. Living together. Making content together. All in the name of clicks… but, it soon starts to twist and turn bringing to paper the nasty and scary side to social media and contracts. Oh, and the tension is next level…
So, what happens when people stop being polite and start being real…
I will read any Tate James and this book did not disappoint, so I will continue to read her books. My only complaint (which is it a real complaint) was I wished there was a bit more spice in this book....I know the next one will have it but damn the build up in this story was so so good, I am not a patient person I needed just a little more. Noah is such a badass, and seeing her find such strong feeling with people that she is suppose to hate was so so *chef's kiss*. Thanks to Bloom Books for the ARC!
SO GOOD!! I was not sure what to expect going into this, but it was wild. Danger, crazy adrenaline junkies, secrets, murder. It was wild! And then BAM that ending. I know what to expect from Tate James so I was prepared but OH MY GOSH! My theories:
Absolutely loved this! At first I was unsure how to keep track of all the incredibly attractive men living with Noah, but they are so well-written that it was totally fine once I got into it. I love the way Tate writes about men to make it feel like they’re your best friends and you just want to keep hanging out with them forever — like a mix of “found family” friendship vibes and romantic tension. I also really enjoyed the slow burn of this book — there is so much unfinished business, and i’ll be counting the days until Book 2 is published! 5 STARS.
I was lucky to get one of the PR boxes for this book of Tate‘s website and immediately devoured this Book. If you are a fan of teach James and have read her before you are gonna be so happy.
Noah and the boys are witty, bold but with the right amount of caring. There were moments but I genuinely laughed out loud for this and a couple of choice insults that I think I will work into my every day. I thought I could wait until the next book came out but I cannot. I desperately want it now.
NoFear by Tate James gave me “She’s the Man” vibes, but unfortunately, it didn’t hold my interest. Tate James does cliffhangers so beautifully, but I struggled to connect with the majority of the book and basically skimmed from about chapter 14. I’m so much of a mood reader though so I’m sure I’ll be one of the few (if there are any others at all!) who didn’t enjoy it. I will likely try to come back and re-read it at another time to see if my opinion is different then.
loved it not as much as dear reader or shadow grove world but excited to read more about these characters and find out how Noah adventures from here. Knew the cliff hanger was coming but it definetly still got me. Love Tate's writing and how easily it is to envision everything 😍
I devoured this book! It was honestly so good and there are so many things to love about it. That cliffhanger sucked but I'm excited to see how the events from the novella play into book 2 now.
