The author lived from 1830-1903. As I listened to the stories he shared I was struck by this time and again: the faithfulness of God is from generation to generation. Full stop.
And that we do well to avail ourselves of the profound privilege of meeting with Him in prayer regularly. In all things.
Plus, Henry (the author) fought for the union during the civil war, so no creepy confederacy vibes :’) which made his testimonies that much more compelling to me!
