Noah “Blaze” Larson is strong and capable. He never needs help from anyone, especially not when it comes to his bar, the Viper. He’s also never been injured like this before. He still blames himself for the bullet that struck him in the shoulder, but he knows he must move forward. That means asking for help for once. But he can’t ask her…not Elsie Barnes, Prez’s little sister and the one woman he aches for every night.
Elsie Barnes has been in love with Blaze for years. Too bad he thinks of her as his best friend’s little sister. When the opportunity arises for her to help him out and get a little closer to the aloof older man, she jumps at it. She’ll make him see her as an alluring woman no matter what.
Blaze and Elsie are about to surprise everyone in the Silver Snakes MC with the heat they generate. What will happen to the MC when one of the members falls for Prez’s little sister?
This was a simple yet effective read—quick, engaging, and easy to get into.
I really enjoyed both Blaze and Elsie as characters. Their dynamic, especially with the long-standing feelings and the “best friend’s little sister” trope, worked well and made their connection compelling from the start. There’s a clear sense of history between them, and that underlying tension definitely adds to the appeal.
That being said, I couldn’t help but wish for more. The story moves quite fast, and while the foundation of their relationship is there, a lot of the emotional build-up seems to happen off-page. Because of that, some moments felt a bit rushed, and I would have loved to see their chemistry explored in greater depth.
I understand that this is a shorter format, and within that, it does what it sets out to do. Still, I couldn’t shake the feeling that with more time and development, this could have been an even stronger and more immersive story.
In the end, a satisfying and entertaining read—just one that left me wanting a little extra.
Harper Michaels is back at it again! I have absolutely loved reading about the men in the Silver Snake MC and couldn’t wait to read Blaze and Elsie’s story. Elsie has been a crucial part in getting all the other ladies settled in the MC life. Blaze is the bartender and enforcer and lives up to his role. The tension between these two is amazing and definitely made this story worth the wait. As usual the author does an amazing job of giving plot and smut in less than 100 pages.
Thank you so much to Harper and nisha’s book s and coffee for the copy of this book! All thoughts and opinions are my own💜💜
Exciting and full of danger, this story was quite the read and I enjoyed it immensely. Blaze and Elsie have been tip toeing around each other and their feelings. When it could no longer be contained, this story was absolutely entertaining. The plot was interesting and kept me wanting to know more. I loved their chemistry and while Elise wasn't afraid to go for what she wants, Blaze was more hesitant to do so. It was definitely one that I enjoyed reading.
Silver Snakes is back with Blazes story. Its wild, dangerous and completely off the charts with hilarious bypasses. Blaze is in the mc, Elsie is his best friends sister. This girl is a strong sassy spitfire of a women. She has been in love with Blaze forever. And Blaze is TSTL and doesn't even recognize whats right in front of him. I loved everything between these two and was so excited when they both put everything aside and got together.
I cant wait to see Nitro next and how his story works out.
I receive this as an ARC. This is the fourth book in the Silver Snakes MC series. This one featuring Blaze. I loved Blaze and Elsie’s story. These books are very quick reads. The good thing about these books are the fact that they are a quick read, no having to deal with a lot of drama to get to the HEA, the bad thing is they aren’t long enough. I’d love to see more of the characters stories. I’m enjoying this series and hope to read the next book when it’s available.
I just loved Elsie and Blaze’s story!! Elsie’s brother is MC of the Silver Snakes and Blaze is his bestfriend. Elsie’s sass had me laughing! Elsie has been in love with Blaze for a long time and Blaze has been in love with Elsie, but he doesn’t want to say anything because he doesn’t want to ruin his friendship with Elsie’s brother because they are the only family he has. Blaze and Elise are so perfect for each other and their chemistry is chefs kiss. I jut love this series they are the perfect novellas.
Overall I enjoyed the characters and developing story. However I wished there was more. Plotlines needed to be longer and the chemistry flushed out. While I understand the yearning took place off page over the course of several years. I just wished more, while I loved Elise and Blaze, this seemed a bit disjointed and rushed....I know it's a novella lol but still.
As always I look forward to Harper's next installation in this series. And I can not wait to see what is next to come.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I have loved the spitfire that is Elsie for such a long time now. She is all sass and fun and always makes me laugh. She is also a solid friend, good sister and apparently glutton for punishment because she has been in love with Blaze forever. Blaze is a moron 🤣. The amount of times I yelled at him while reading this short story is crazy and my anger at his stupidity is probably only matched by his own. If there was ever a character I wanted to shake. But alas, Blaze eventually pulls his head out of his rear and stops making our wonderful Elsie sad. It's a good thing I'm never written as a fictional best friend because I would light some of these mcs up!
Elsie is the sister of Silver the President of the MC and Blaze is his best friend. That makes the fact that he is in love with Elsie more than a little awkward. When circumstances push them together neither of them can resist any longer.
This book is an amazing short read. I loved both Elsie and Blaze and their chemistry is off the charts. Harper never fails to impress.
I love these quick, spicy, forever love reads! Harper is hands down one of my favs and I love everything about this book! And the continuation of the series!
