Another great book from Beth williamson.

Brett is the brooding (self conscious and introvert maybe) brother who has a hankering for old love Alex (bright, smart and lovely) the town doctor. When fortune shines it's smile on Brett he decides to look up Alex and try to re kindle the fire from years ago. Alex , understandably, is put out, and successfully convinces herself that she wants nothing to do with Brett however emotions take over and pretty soon Brett and Alex are hitting it off in a big hot way, the reason for their previous break up is logically explained leaving our couple to happily fall in love.

King Dawson is a bully, what he wants he gets...he has eyes for Alex and for Bretts good fortune, and here the deviousness starts. Dawson is evil personified and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Fortunately things do not go Dawsons way but only after he has managed to reek havoc with everyones lives in one way or another.

i really enjoyed this story in which Brett overcomes his "strong silent type" emotions and learns to accept the love and generosity of his family. We are introduced to gunslinger Kincaid, possibly the only person other than Alex to really understand Brett and there's more of Noah, Nicky and Tylers adopted son from The Bounty. A great read for those lovin' a hot hot western romance.

Brett is the quiet strong type. But as a Malloy sibling he in known as different, reserved and a man apart from the rest of them. He lost Alexandra 12 years earlier. He is hoping now that he has a place of his own that he can claim her. He has never forgotten her.

Alex is the town doctor. The love of her life Brett is back and injured. She must treat him and not show that he still affects her. She has never forgiven him for leaving her 12 years ago after giving her heart and body to him. As far as she is concerned he is not anything to her any more.

King Dawson a rancher wants to claim Alex as his also. Alex has repeately told him no. Brett will try to protect what he thinks is his.

The story of this Malloy is the 6th in the series and good.

This was a sweet story. The hero is the quiet one, and the heroine is the local doc. They have history from way back and the local big landowner is a complete nutcase.

The writing wasn't so good for this one for me. It was a bit he-said-she-said-they-rutted, so I'm rating it a 3 stars, although the story was pretty nice, just not the strongest of the series, and no where near my favorite Beth Williamson/Emma Lang.

Brett finds love

The Malloy family stick together and help each other no matter what. Brett Malloy is the quiet brother, speaking little, but listened to carefully when he does decide to speak. After falling out with his brother Trevor in the previous book, he rides home and in a poker game, wins a ranch from a dying man.
Alexandra is the town doctor, once the love of Brett's life. Now he decides to win her back, but a rancher named King Dawson has other ideas. Can Brett forget his pride and reach out to Trevor for help? Plus of course the Malloy family.
I liked Brett's character in this series, deep and quiet. In this story it doesn't show as much, but I must say the Malloy family are addictive and I enjoy the stories best when they come together as the dialogue sparkles.
A new character Kincaid, briefly introduced in the previous story has a much bigger part to play and I wouldn't care to get he will be appearing in his own story one day.
It is better to read the stories in sequence in order to get an overview (and indeed liking) for the Malloy characters.

Quiet Brett Malloy's always felt a little overwhelmed by his big, loving family. So when he wins an old neighbor's ranch in a poker game, he keeps that to himself until the man dies. Taking on his own spread spurs him to seize the chance to truly settle down, including considering marriage. That brings him down memory lane, to the one woman who's ever held his heart, the town doctor, Alexandra Brighton.

Unfortunately, Brett kind of broke Alexandra's heart years ago. And if that wasn't enough of a barrier to overcome, she's also got another suitor--a wealthy, persistent rancher who won't take no for an answer. Fortunately at the heart of it, Brett's a Malloy, and love and family will win the day ;)

Lovely addition to the Malloy Family series, and can't wait for more!

Brett Malloy has his own ranch now and its just his. But it needs a lot of work, with the help from Kincaid and kid named Mason, and of course his family, they start to work to make a home. While working Brett gets injured and is rushed to Alexandra Brighton, the one woman he wants to be his wife.
Its going to take a little more than wooing Alexandra, because she won't let Brett back into life and heart so easily after he broke her heart all those years ago.
As danger lurks near, they become closer again. Someone else thinks he has claim on Alex and no one else can her have. They have to fight for their lives, love and home.

The Tribute was another great book by Beth Williamson. I love reading her books. They are always filled with adventure, action, love, passion, humor, family, friendship, and of course hot sexy cowboys. I can't wait to read the rest.
