An epic forbidden sapphic romance from Amazon Bestselling author A. Goswami (Author of sapphic bestsellers like Fated To Love You, Your Mom Will Do, A Girl Can Dream and In A World Of Our Own)All I wanted was a break from my small-town life, not to be stuck in a truck for days with the woman who broke my heart.
Four years ago, U.S. Marshal Katherine Shaw was my protector, my crush, and the star of every fantasy I was too young to admit. Then I kissed her… and she disappeared without a word.
Now the men who kidnapped me are finally going to trial, and guess who’s been assigned to escort me to Los Angeles?
The same gorgeous, infuriating, ten-years-older federal agent who left me behind.
Kathy is all sharp edges and iron control, but I see the way her gaze lingers. The way her hands flex when I get too close. The way “stay professional” is losing the battle against “pull Ayla closer.”
The road trip is supposed to keep me safe from the mafia.
Instead, it’s locking me in a truck, a motel room, a too-quiet town… with the one woman I swore I’d never trust again.
I want answers. She wants distance.
And somewhere between Willow Creek and L.A., wanting her becomes the most dangerous thing of all.

I am your friendly neighborhood Sapphic romance writer, who has a knack for writing steamy romances, that also work as comfort reads. I know, a conundrum! But once you give my books a shot, you'll know what I mean! I live in London, a few streets away from where Sherlock Holmes used to live, so... if I you find me taking too long to publish my next book, I am probably off with Mr. Holmes on an adventure.
Unfortunately I could not enjoy this book as there were many signs it was written with a heavy use of AI. Some of the indications: There were multiple passages that were repetitive of the exact same concept, worded slightly differently. Character names would change, and different characters were referred to by the same name. On doing some research, this author has been suspected of AI for all of their books which were released in rapid succession. It shows. DNF
I typically read the stereotypical sapphic romances and don’t really read a lot with this theme, which is odd because I love this theme or genre. I’m excited to read the next one to see what happens. The 🌶️ is 🤌🏼
I love everything by this author. It's laugh out loud funny, heartfelt, and relatable. The characters are amazing. Can't wait to read all of her books.
So can confirm that this is AI written or at least heavily assisted. Repetitive words and language used and descriptions that don’t flow correctly. On top of that it definitely didn’t get any kind of proofread. I’m disappointed because I got a couple of books from this author before I knew it was AI because the concept was interesting. Then when I found out I just wanted to see how it differed and how obvious it would be.. the answer is very obvious. The majority of the book is just lusting. I don’t think they put enough emphasis on the road trip in the description. Im sure there are some people who really enjoy this and that’s fine but if you’re anti AI and have trouble reading poor writing you should skip it. 0/10 would not recommend for the AI.
The plot of this novella is actually really good, and no, the sex is not the plot. It’s about a U.S. Marshal transporting a woman in witness protection across state lines so she can testify against a sex trafficker. Yes, her boyfriend gave her to him, which is truly trash behavior. The Marshal and the FMC already have history, so we’re dropped straight into the mess. Naturally, it ends on a cliffhanger, so book two is now on my TBR whether I like it or not. (I like it lol)
Update: found out it is an AI written book, and most of this authors stuff is. Will not be reading the second book. Keeping the rating as my official rating for the plot, however it would be less if I was basing it purely off of the fact it is AI.
Kind of read like a fanfiction that got published and there were some inconsistencies, small grammatical errors, and basic writing.
This book reads like it was written by AI or someone who failed their English classes. I should have guessed by the way the title was phrased but if this was in front of an editor I will be surprised.
I loved this! The first books ends in a cliff hanger tho, so have the second one ready to go!!! I want to start it tonight but it’s 10:40 LOL. Definitely recommend!!
