As one of the world’s most powerful battlemages, I have known a life of battle.
But now, I have managed to find some peace. I have settled into a cozy farmstead left to me by a fallen friend, and my days are filled with fresh bread from the absent-minded, chaotic baker Lulu and late-night experiments with Eleya, the enigmatic high elven alchemist. For the first time in years, my staff, Ashmaker, is gathering dust.
But Aerenvale has secrets of its own. Ancient machinery churns beneath the mud, and hidden tunnels hint that our quiet village was once something far older. When those buried powers begin to wake, I must protect my newfound farmstead… and the women who make it home.
I enjoyed this book, just not nearly as much as the first one. Not as much happened, the magic seemed half- hearted, and while I like the sexy elves, the author overdid it here. Too much of the book focused on it.
Alternate universe, magic, OP MC, post-war readjustment, harem adult situations
Liam and his three elven ladies find happiness together in their sleepy Wood Elven village while unraveling hidden ancient history mysteries. Still think the new steward's obsession with generating income is less effective because he's ignoring the resurgence on necromancy in his main town. What matters riches when the undead and necromancers are determined to return to power. Excellent editing. Satisfying post-war slice of life. On to book 3!
A wonderful mystery, fantasy adventure and every day life smoothly blended into a great story!!! Mud elemental from Hades and Jack arse entitled punks try to bring the MC and his family down but fail miserably lol!!!
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was fun and engaging. The story and characters were incredibly interesting and entertaining. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. This book and series are definitely worth checking out.
