I was asked to be an ARC reader for this writer’s first book, and I’m SO glad. I never read books this fast! It was hard to put down. I’ll DEFINITELY be reading the second book!

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest ARC review. This book was a mafia romance where the FMC was a former foster child who unexpectedly finds her father, who happens to be the head of the Italian mafia. She immediately becomes a part of a close-knit Italian family and gains three older brothers. She is also in a new relationship with a man who she is starting to fall in love with, who she doesn't realize is the head of the Russian bratva. This author puts real care into fleshing out the FMC's new family and friends.
Hopefully some of these characters will get their own stories in the future. There is intrigue and secrets revealed leading to a gripping cliffhanger for part two of the duet. This debut novel is well written, emotional and full of tension. I'm looking forward to the next book!

I absolutely devoured this book and can't wait for more. From the moment I started reading i couldn't put it down. Maksims soft only for her vibe absolutely melted me and I am firmly in his corner cheering him on. Felicity is such a great character that you just want to have everything and more. Also the side characters are everything and I am so excited to see what comes next ❤

I'm absolutely in love with the book. Something a little different from the usual mafia books( in storyline), each chapter keeps you on your toes and is unexpected. I love and have been looking for books like this for a while, with action and mystery. Maybe for this genre I'm missing a little more mafia action and hot moments between the characters. Can't wait to book two!

Here’s to all the girlies who read books on those pay to chapters apps about all the lost mafia princess. I enjoyed the fact that Felicity only had three brothers because I feel like anymore than that it’s starts to get a bit overwhelming. I seriously hope they get their own books, along with Shelly, Antony and Niko. Thank you to T.M Raine for the arc and congratulations on your debut book.
This book was well written and fast paced, but it didn’t feel rushed and I liked that. Felicity (20) is someone who has had a rough go at life and she has walls, but once she lets them down it’s beautiful. We got to see the start of her relationships with her family, but this part mainly focused on her and Maksim, so I hope in the next one we’ll see them more formed. Maksim (?) basically becomes obsessed with her as soon as he lays on eyes on her. I love how he wasn’t pushy, but gave her the space and patience when she needed it. I kind of feel obsessed with him😆 Anyways, as far as debut books go this was really good in my opinion. I can’t not wait until the second one comes out and I really hope it’s released soon!

The first in a duet for this new author, features Felicity who's had a traumatic past and a difficult adolescence since the loss of her mum. Just as the future is looking brighter she has a chance meeting with Russian mafia boss Maksim, the alpha male with touch her and die vibes and they form an instant connection. As their relationship begins Felicity is swung another curveball with the revelation of a long lost father and a rag tag crew of brothers. All is not as it seems though as more secrets become unearthed.
I enjoyed the first look into this author's writing style with portraying the MFC's trauma and what insecurities this has caused. It has low level spice, new friendships and blood ties with high expectations that could ruin everything. The book ends on a cliffhanger making you wonder what will Felicity choose and the question of how will she remain safe.

I enjoyed getting to know the characters. I've never wanted to shake the Mafia so much in my time reading. I instantly wanted to take the FMC and protect her.

Where to start? Must read! This book had wanting more from the very beginning. It keeps you guessing as to what will happen next. I loved this. I can’t wait for the next one to continue their story. Very well written. I couldn’t put it down. I can’t stop thinking about it. I need more.

Ok wow! I'm totally hooked. I demolished this book so fast. I am hurting for Maksim, I really hope he can get Felicity back. I have a funny feeling Elena is behind a few things that have happened to Felicity. I absolutely loved the twists that were thrown in through the story. I am waiting on tender hooks for the next one! When this book is out everyone its a must read!!! Don't wait too long to snap it up.

Incredible, but that cliffhanger…
Felicity has survived on her own for as long as she can remember, carving out a life with nothing but grit and determination. All she wants now is a taste of stability—but fate clearly has other plans.
Enter Maksim: intense, obsessed, and dangerously devoted. He wants to protect her, take care of her, and still respects her need for independence… even as his feelings start blurring the line between devotion and possession. Their dynamic crackles, and the story barrels forward with twist after twist—I tore through the pages.
This book completely hooked me, and I genuinely couldn’t put it down. The cliffhanger at the end hurts in the best way, and I’m already dying for book two.
So why 4 stars instead of 5?
That cliffhanger + zero info on the next release date. If the wait ends up being long, I know I’ll forget details after reading other books in the meantime—and needing a full reread isn’t my favorite. If the the book 2 drops quickly, I’ll happily bump this to five stars.

So why 4 stars instead of 5?
That cliffhanger + zero info on the next release date. If the wait ends up being long, I know I’ll forget details after reading other books in the meantime—and needing a full reread isn’t my favorite. If the the book 2 drops quickly, I’ll happily bump this to five stars.

This was my first time reading T.M. Raine, and wow—what a bloody fantastic read. Her writing style is smooth, flowing, addictive, and completely unputdownable. I was hooked from the very beginning.
I absolutely loved the MCs, Felicity and Maksim.
Felicity broke my heart. She is fiercely independent yet vulnerable, strong but deeply scarred. She’s been on her own for the past 4–5 years, with no one to trust or rely on but herself. She’s a survivor, and her journey was emotional and powerful.
Maksim, the Pakhan, truly sees Felicity, she is unlike any woman he has known before: kind, sweet, helpful, and far too good for his dark world. Their chemistry is intense and genuine, and I loved how they slowly open up to each other about their past traumas.
This book was so addictive I found myself reading into the wee small hours—and it was so worth it. I also adored the family and friends; they added so much depth and warmth to the story. Honestly, I’m really hoping we get a book about Shelly and Santino 🤞
And that ending… I need book two now.

What a joy to read a well written book but also one that has been well edited. The pacing was just right & flowed beautifully. It’s an emotional ride & punches you right from the beginning.
Encompassing both the Italian and Russian mafias, the story is about Felicity’s journey. I loved her characters development. She’s a vulnerable soul, and given what happened to her in the past we can understand why you can connect with her and understand why she does what she does. This will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions with flawed characters as well as action, suspense and humour.
The story had me on the edge of my seat wondering where it would go and in the end I could not see how it would play out with all the evolving twists and turns. Can’t wait for the next book.

This book was an ARC found through TM Raine, and it’s my first time reading this author. It definitely won’t be the last. I knew going in that it had a cliffhanger and was part of a series, but I wasn’t prepared for how much I would love this story.
The writing is fantastic, the characters are brilliant, and Felicity absolutely steals the show—I adored her. The secondary characters, from the Italians to the Irish to the Russians, all have such strong personalities that each one deserves their own story.
But right now, Ms. Raine… please, please give us Book 2!

I enjoyed the premise of the story, I even liked a couple of the characters,but this is light on the mafia vibes and comes across as just being arrogant jerks bossing around the leading fmc although she is a bit dense,but also clued up in other ways the bf is a psycho but puts up with to much for “mafia men” and does to much chasing etc it wasn’t a re-read worthy book for me personally but not the worst neither.

This book was amazing. I loved every chapter more and more. If you love mafia and drama and love this book is for you. The writer done an awesome job on this book. It kept me reading and I couldn't put it down. This is one of my top 10 favorite mafia books. I will recommend this book to any and everyone. Im excited to see what she comes up with next. Go add this to your TBR and make sure it's your very next read.

Omg this book was a slow start but holy hannah when it picked up and couldn’t stop reading it. Not too happy I had to wait until next year to find out what happens. But love how the family came together when push came to shove. But I also liked how felicity felt safe finally after all her running. I can’t wait to find out what happens. Definitely a good read.

Absolutely loved the book! Plot was great with a nice level of spice (not overly spicy). I finished in one day and wished it kept going. The book is in multiple POV which I loved . Cant wait for book two!

December 19, 2025I absolutely loved this book! I was lucky enough to recieve a copy and it's easily in the top 5 reads of this year. It included some of my favorite tropes and I loved the characters of Felicity and Maksim. I can't wait to see where it goes next!

Quite a slow book. Nothing that really ‘wowed’ me. There’s a second one coming out in the serious but I’m not rushing to read it. Not bad, but not my top pick
