**Make It Stop is the second book in the West Pine Bullies Duet. The follow contains spoilers for Make it Hurt**
"I don't mind if I scare you, Saige. I scare myself sometimes. Just know that as long as you're mine, you don't have to be afraid of anything else. And you're always going to be mine."
My name is Saige Ripley, and no one knows I’m a murderer—no one except for my stepbrother, Elias, and his friends, Dax and Nolan.
I should have said "no" when they offered to help me, but I didn’t. Instead, I agreed to do whatever they wanted, thinking it had to be better than going to prison.
I’m not so sure anymore.
What I agreed to was a different kind of prison, and to make things worse, no matter how hard I tried to fight it, I fell for them, and it ended exactly the way I thought it would.
They betrayed me. But they won’t let me go.
And on top of it all, the person who attacked me is still out there, and I don’t know what to believe anymore. I don’t know who to trust.
Not all monsters lurk in the darkness. Some hide in plain sight.
Known as the (mostly benevolent) Queen of Angst, Elle Mitchell writes new adult contemporary romance ranging from shades of grey to morally pitch black with a hint of taboo. A mix of plot and spice, her books follow flawed, relatable characters as they rage against the machine or struggle against the darker parts of humanity and themselves. They’re messy—like real life—and emotional.
She can’t promise that all her books will depict what a healthy relationship should look like at every turn. She rejects purity themes. The best she can do is promise an eventual HEA when it’s all said and done.
When she isn’t reading or writing, it’s unlikely you’ll find her anywhere. She’s probably at home with her family, minding her own business.
This is the second book in the West Pines Bullies duet and a great ending to the saga.
Now I think every book 2 should start with groveling 🤣 Book 1 was an uphill roller coaster, while book two took you down but still had some gentle slopes. We saw a lot more of Elias and got a look into his character, meanwhile breaking down some wall of Dax and Nolan.
Nolan still has my heart ❤️ but the other two, stepped it up as well. This book was definitely spicier than book 1, so be prepared 😈🤭
Also, shout out to the growth the Paige had. I was worried, but she came into herself.
I also loved that the book came to a nice close without a rushed ending. Especially with that little bit of who dunnit.
Oh I’ve been waiting to get my hands on this book. I had been dying to know what happened to Saige and her guys and let’s just say it was a rollercoaster!
Without giving too much away, it gets worse before it gets better, kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through and it ties up the duet perfectly.
AND Nolan is still my favourite
If you love a proper bully why choose, with boyfriends who are boyfriends, a step brother and a ‘who done it’ plot woven in I would 100% recommend the West Pine Bullies duet, you won’t be disappointed.
I loved book 1 and could not wait to dive into book 2. Elle did not disappoint with this one. Sage and her men are back and the tension is so strong between them that it keeps you wanting to read to see what happens next. Elias, Dax, and Nolan have so much groveling to do that you'll wonder if it's enough. Sage is strong but even the strong have a threshold for how much she can handle. Danger, spice, and not so much nice. And this is the read for you.
