What stands out most in this instalment is the emotional push-and-pull between the MCs. Their chemistry is electric, but it’s the quiet, broken moments that truly hit home. The pacing is tight, with just enough breathing room between the dramatic developments to let the emotions simmer.

In Dante St. John's second book, you can tell she has really found her voice! The pacing of the story is quick but still detailed, and the characters are well developed. Ivy and Emma's love story is inspiring, and the additional characters like Corbin are like fresh air and a much needed comedic relief. I hope as this world progresses we continue to learn more about other characters like Kitty and the Twins. Over all it was a great quick read.
