The second exciting adventure in a brand new pony series set in an elite equestrian boarding school from rising star J. P. Rose.
Welcome to Paddock Grove, a boarding school for the best, providing equestrians of tomorrow with state-of-the-art facilities and world-class tuition in everything from stable management to competitive riding.
Katie is delighted to be selected as the captain for Paddock Grove's under-14 equestrian team in the county competition. She and her horse, Sheriff, are a great duo and she's excited to prove this in the arena and on the cross country course. But when the competition starts, strange things start to go wrong around the stables. At first Katie suspects mean-girl Megan who's been banned from competing, but as the 'pranks' start to escalate, she starts to believe that someone on one of the other teams might be trying to sabotage Paddock Grove's chances by playing tricks on their team captain. If she can't find the culprit, they might run her and Sheriff out of the competition altogether...
Nice easy pony book. Nothing too jarring or outlandish, not like some pony books I’ve read where the characters act 10 years older than they should. 3.5 rounded up to 4.
I haven’t grown out of reading pony books yet after 50 plus years 😀
Love this series. Fine for Primary age upwards. Very slightly repetitive theme (someone wants to win, someone else is willing to sabotage it) but they're fun stories, good characters and its SO great to read a book about horses written by an author who really knows her stuff.
Another beautiful story with Horses Loved this book had a lovely story to it a book I wanted to keep on reading to see what happens in the next chapter,Gave it 5 STARS
