Join Linda and the team on their adventures in the final installment of the Otherworldly Admin series.
For five months, Linda has been switching between helping with cases at the Agency and doing boring paperwork at the Council. The mission to find evidence of the director's wrongdoing is going poorly, and the team has hit a wall on her mother's case. She's getting frustrated with the slow pace of everything.
Then one evening, a stranger shows up on Linda's doorstep with a request for help that sends the usually calm team into a spiral.
Linda is struggling to juggle all the demands on her. On top of everything, her visions are evolving in strange ways. It's almost more than she can handle, but slowing down isn't an option she's willing to accept. Will the risks she takes pay off?
This was a really enjoyable final installment and a great way to wrap up the series. I stayed hooked the whole time, especially with everything coming to a head.
I’ve always loved how this series balances humor, mystery, and the supernatural, and that carried through here. The characters are what made it for me though and I’m genuinely going to miss them. Overall, this was a satisfying ending to a series I had a lot of fun with.
This was a great way to wrap up this series! Just like the other two, this one was a fun, light, and easy read. I really do want to go work for the OPT Agency!
While I do feel like the ending of this one was a little bit predictable, I enjoyed the journey of figuring out all of the different mysteries. In this one Linda was juggling her time at the Agency and her time having to go to the Council and still trying to work cases and solve the mystery of her mother's death. No matter what though, she kept pushing forward and was determined to get answers!
I love the dynamics of the team and all of the characters within the book. We introduced new characters in this one but also brought back characters from the other two books so that everybody could work together as one big team.
This is such a good blend of cozy, mystery, fantasy, and modern office life. If you're looking for something with these vibes, definitely recommend checking this one out! Thank you to the NerdFam for the gifted eARC to read.
I genuinely didn’t want this to end. I am not ready to leave this world, these characters, this chaos. 🥺💔
Demons, Databases, and Danger wrapped everything up in a way that felt both satisfying and painfully final. I kept turning the pages knowing I was getting closer to the end… and I didn’t like it one bit.
Linda had been juggling so much—switching between Agency cases and Council paperwork for months, chasing leads that kept going nowhere, and desperately trying to uncover the truth behind the director’s wrongdoing and her mother’s case. The frustration was palpable. 😩
And then—just when things felt stuck—a stranger arrived, throwing everything into motion. Suddenly, the stakes skyrocketed. The team spiraled. The tension tightened. And Linda? She kept pushing forward, even as her visions started changing in ways that felt unpredictable and dangerous. 🔮⚠️
I loved how everything came together in this book. The plot felt sharper, more urgent. Every thread that had been building across the series started to converge. And I was hooked the entire time. 🧩✨
But honestly? The characters were everything. ❤️ Their dynamics, their humor, their loyalty… I’m going to miss them so much. This series always balanced humor, mystery, and supernatural chaos so well—and this final installment carried that magic all the way through.
The ending felt earned. It felt complete. And yet… I still wanted more. 😭
✨ Perfect for readers who love: 🏢 Found family in a chaotic workplace 🧙♀️ Urban fantasy with a cozy twist 🔍 Mystery + supernatural investigations 😄 Humor mixed with high-stakes tension 💼 Magical bureaucracy (but make it fun) 🔥 Slow-burn overarching plot payoff 🌀 “Everything is coming together” finales
This was such a satisfying conclusion to a series I had so much fun with. It made me laugh, stress, and feel deeply attached to every character.
And now… I just miss them. 💔
Thank you so much to the author and The Nerd Fam for the opportunity to review the omnibus. It was such a joy to experience this world from start to finish. ✨
Demons, Databases and Danger resumes the story four months on from the end of the previous book. Linda has begun her reluctant apprenticeship under the supervision of Director Cora Owen who shares her unique abilities, something that requires Linda to spend one week each month working at Council headquarters. For the rest of the month though its business as usual with the OPT agency. However, things take an unusual turn when a strange woman appears at Linda’s home requesting the agency’s assistance with a missing portrait. The encounter raises troubling questions, but mainly why didn’t she approach the agency directly if she needed their help?
As the Otherworldly Admin trilogy reaches its conclusion this book does a solid job of bringing the underlying plot to a satisfying climax with the introduction of new paranormal elements including a demon and a phoenix who add to the excitement. The slow-building tension from earlier books pays off as the truth behind the Director’s actions is revealed, turning out to be far more sinister than the team expected, raising the stakes and the supernatural community are going to have to put aside any former divisions and work together against the common threat they all face. One of the highlights of the series is Linda’s character arc as she evolves from a grief-stricken and lonely woman, discovering a world she didn’t know existed and abilities she didn’t know she had, becoming a confident, capable woman who has found both her place and her people has been genuinely rewarding. Her role in the final conflict feels well-earned and impactful adding a real depth to the story as she finds justice for her mother.
Overall, this is an engaging, character-driven paranormal mystery that skilfully blends humour, magic, and intrigue with a cosy, feel-good tone. It wraps up the story arc nicely while leaving a strong sense that there’s still more to explore with the team at the OPT agency.
Thank you to The Nerd Fam @thenerdfam for the 3 gifted eARCs. #theotherworldlyadminseries #thenerdfam “The Otherworldly Admin Series” (# 1, 2, 3) by Janelle Seegmiller ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Genre: Cozy Urban Fantasy. NOTE: LGBTQIA + inclusive. My name is Linda, I lived in Seattle, and I love these books about another Linda in Seattle! THE SERIES: Seattle admin professional Linda leaves a boring job to work for the OPT. Now she manages vampires, witches, and others, solves magical mysteries, faces Council politics, and mixes supernatural cases with office work. BOOK 1 “Otherworldly Unboarding” Linda’s OPT job leads to a secret world of supernatural beings. She learns her new role while investigating a missing vampire. WHAT A GREAT START TO A SERIES! BOOK 2 “Magic, Meetings, and Murder” Linda helps solve a witch's murder, while dealing with a possible new supernatural, a pre-vampire coworker, and the scary Council. AND THE GREAT START CONTINUES! BOOK 3 “Demons, Databases, and Danger” Linda is loaned to the Council, secretly investigates her mom's death, and has scary visions. YES! Except I’m sad the trilogy is over- I want to know if Mrs Clark is a Hob, I want a vampire wedding, and more Doria and Mr Gray!
Author Seegmiller’s books are a lovely blend of paranormal office humor mixed with mystery and personal growth. Her plots are a mix of magical investigations and office-related challenges. They’re fun and engaging, very easy-reading books. It’s corporate life+fantasy, it’s mystery+found family, it’s hidden worlds+adventure, and all 3 are 5⭐️s from me 📚👩🏼🦳
This was a satisfying conclusion to Linda’s first chapter at the OPT Agency.
By this point in the series, the characters and dynamics feel well established, and it was really enjoyable seeing everything come together as the team tackles ongoing cases and unresolved threads. Linda’s growth continues to shine here, especially as she balances increasing responsibility, evolving abilities, and the emotional weight tied to her past.
The stakes feel slightly higher in this instalment, with more pressure on Linda and the team, but the story still maintains that cozy mystery/thriller tone that defines the series. The blend of everyday workplace elements with supernatural intrigue continues to be a highlight.
I also appreciated how this book wraps up key arcs while still leaving room for future stories in this world. There’s a sense of closure, but not finality, which makes me hopeful we might see more from these characters down the line.
Overall, a strong finish to the omnibus and a series I’d happily continue if more books are released.
ARC Read This book really leans into those cosy, mystery, fantasy vibes, but with higher stakes than before. Now that Linda is more settled in her role, the story focuses much more on the case itself, and it definitely feels like everything from the previous books has been building toward this. The found family dynamics are my favourite in this series. The relationships feel more solid and natural, and it adds a lot of warmth to balance out the danger. There are some fun twists and a few surprise developments along the way, even if parts of the mystery felt a little predictable at times. One of my favourite things about this series continues to be Linda’s growth and watching her gain confidence, stepping more fully into her place has been really satisfying. Add in some interesting new characters and a case that raises the stakes, and it makes for a really enjoyable read overall.
The Otherworldly Admin series is a cozy yet thrilling blend of fantasy and modern office life. The writing is clever and accessible, making supernatural elements feel believable and engaging. Linda is a wonderfully relatable protagonist ❤️ her humor, curiosity, and professionalism ground the fantastical world in reality.
What I loved: • Charming office dynamics with a supernatural twist • Clever plotting that balances mystery, humor, and fantasy • Well-developed characters, both human and otherworldly • Smooth pacing that keeps you turning pages
I flew through this mainly because I demand immediate answers to all mysteries.
The only reason I haven’t given the final book five stars is due to the fact that I had envisioned a massive wedding for Angela and Mr Thorpe. Also, Linda's gut feelings and observations are rarely wrong so I'm immensley concerned about the fact that on 'Thursday' it was seemingly uneventful. I then assumed there's another book to be released, but when I read the acknowledgements it said the characters will only make future appearances in other stories. Whilst I'm excited we'll get to see these characters again, I want another book with all of them!
In the final book of her series, Linda gets visited by a demon who happens to have a case for the agency. But it turns out, there's a lot more going on in the otherworldly community and soon the team has to face their biggest challenge yet.
This was a wonderful series finale for The Otherworldly Admin! I feel like it was more suspenseful than the previous books, in a good way. I feel like there's still a lot of potential in this universe and I would love some spin-offs. Janelle Seegmiller's writing is very nice and easy to read. Please write more books. :)

The final installment of The Otherworldly series was just as good as I hoped it would be! Back to the office with the crew, Linda goes undercover this time, and she is a total natural! This final book introduces new co-workers, closes old cases, and ends in a way that leaves you feeling like Linda’s story is complete!
This entire series was such a fun, cozy read, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a short, paranormal mystery with workplace banter that will leave you feeling like part of the OPT Agency family!
Thank you so much to Janelle Seegmiller and The Nerd Fam for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Linda desperately needs a job and can’t resist the surprising, mysterious and very generous employment offer that comes her way, just when she needed it the most. Little did she know how much her life would change once she learned the secrets that come with being an otherworldly admin. This is a thoroughly entertaining read! Modern corporate life meets hidden fantasy world. Such a unique story that will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish! I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves cozy fantasies with no spice paired with a thrilling murder mystery.
I absolutely loved Linda's glow up in Book 3 of The Otherworldly Admin series! Her character resonates with women coming into their own and claiming their seat at the table as she fully earns her keep on the OPT Agency team. Missing persons cases get heated up in this finale with espionage, unexpected alliances, a coup, and more intriguing character development as old and new Otherworldly entities come into play.
Best first impression on cozy fantasies.

Really good read! The story was good. Lots of stuff going on in this book between Linda going undercover at the council and the mystery of the missing painting. It was so well thought out and orchestrated. I loved every bit of it and all the characters parts played in it. Everyone works so well together and I love that. I would love to get more in the series but it ended so well. I definitely recommend it if you like cozy mysteries.
This is the conclusion to The Otherworldly Admin series. Like its predecessors, this was a fun read. I liked that it picked up intensity and brought back characters we had met along the way. I do feel like the after story could have been flushed out a little more and would not be mad at all if a 4th book was written!!
I received this book as an arc from nerdfam and the author Janelle Seegmiller. I am leaving this review on my own free will and 100% honestly.
This is the final book in the series. And I really enjoyed it. What a great way to end everything. I just love the balance through the whole series of humor, supernatural and mystery.
This had promise but the ending was so rushed and flat. The story could have been much deeper, but the development was just lacking. Overall, the plot itself was engaging, a mix of The Picture of Dorian Gray and Dolores Umbridge in an Agatha Christie-esque package.
