Let’s start out by addressing the elephant in the room: Sherrilyn Kenyon is no longer co-writing this series. Did that make a marked difference in the story? A little, though the publisher change probably makes for a bit of noticeable difference as well. The plot is not quite as complicated. And the formatting is not quite as good. Should those things stop a fan of this series from picking up this book? Absolutely not.

As you might be able to infer from the title, this book has a hefty focus on Storm. As the story begins, he is chasing after his evil mother, Nadina, trying to get his and his father’s souls back. She promises him a way, as long as he is willing to go the underworld and lead a demon army. Of course, this is not as simple as it seems. He gets trapped there, just as Evalle needs him the most. Brina is missing and the Belador power base is breaking down. She thinks Storm may be able to find her where the Druids have failed, but getting her man to Treoir ends up a Herculean task like she never expected. Evalle must go through some serious trials and make alliances and sacrifices she never expected, to reunite with her mate. And even then, well, suffice it to say it’s an uphill climb.

I feel like the book maintains the tone of earlier installments. Evalle and Storm never lose their sense of self; the integrity of the characters and their relationship stays the same, even as they are forced to face some fundamental changes in their lives. I really like both of them and I believe in the love that has grown between them. I love that Evalle is the kind of woman who can (and will) go to the depths of hell for her man, just as we know he would sacrifice any and everything for her. It’s good stuff. It’s actually a little easier to follow.

But we do lose something on the flip side of that. The time and attention spent on Tzaeder and Brina is miniscule. And the Quinn/ Kizira aftermath takes up even less focus than that. I felt the lack. I liked the great b-plots these books usually pack and there is a wealth of angst to mine here. And I would have liked a little more time with Feenix, darn it. He is so loveable and his relationship with Evalle brings out something lovely in her.

Overall, it’s a good book. It advances the major series arc and it satisfied the romance lover in me. It’s not exactly the same as the earlier books in the series. But I will definitely keep reading, all the same.

The saga of personal experiences about Evalle and her supernatural friends continues in the fifth book of the Belador series. Though they have fought and won many courageous battles over their enemies, threats never completely cease because of the single-minded determination of these evil beings. Dianna Love brings back a number of beloved characters to carry on the fight to protect humans from otherworldly predators, where the stakes in numerous emotional conflicts are exceedingly high. DEMON STORM leaves you breathless on countless occasions.

Though Storm already had a good reason to despise a particular witch doctor, it took her making threats to Evalle Kincaid to push him into action. The jaguar shifter feels very protective of her, even if the Belador warrior would not appreciate his placing himself in danger to keep her safe. Love for Evalle leads to the Skinwalker tracking the witch doctor, and a confrontation between the two reveals several complications he never imagined. Any choices he now makes could be perilous to either him or the woman for whom he would die before putting her at risk.

After the last clash the Beladors fought against the Medb at Treoir Castle, their queen has disappeared. Now their abilities are weakening because they can no longer receive her support, and Evalle hopes Storm can use his skills as a tracker to find their leader. Yet he seems to have vanished, and she has no idea where to look for him. To locate the single being who might be able to keep the enemies of the Belador warriors from becoming more powerful, Evalle must trust individuals that she never has before or Storm plus all humanity may be doomed.

While there are several dangerous circumstances to overcome, it is the profound emotional episodes in the fifth Belador book that I will recall again and again. The characters in this series are all strong and gutsy, and seeing so many of them express heart wrenching inner feelings truly touched me quite a few times. Storm is someone I have loved from the very start, and I deeply felt for him because of all the troubling events happening in his life. Dianna Love knows precisely how to convey sentiments with a realistic sincerity, and I was greatly affected by the honest reactions of the characters in the story, especially those of Evalle who usually keeps her feelings private. There is also much going on in Quinn and Tzader’s lives, and Ms. Love kept upping the stress they had to go through.

The Belador series has been a favorite since its launch, and though lots of background is scattered throughout the fifth book, it would be advisable to have read the preceding stories to fully understand all that takes place and why. A fascinating world has been created for all the intriguing beings featured in the series, and many of those whom I hold dear appear in the latest book, along with some rather nasty enemies. Evalle has constantly battled the Medb and even certain individuals who should be her ally, and those struggles continue to be a daily challenge. She has always tried to do what a Belador would think is right, and having someone special in her life gives her extra incentive to keep the world safe. The complex relationship Evalle has with Storm is repeatedly put to the test, yet nothing can diminish the passion between them. A hint of what is to come in the next book makes me want it very soon. Dianna Love makes every second of DEMON STORM enthrallingly believable.

Demon Storm by Dianna Love is the 5th book in her Belador series. I have said this numerous times that I love this series, and the wonderful characters, especially our heroine, Evalle. In Demon Storm, Dianna assumes full control of writing this series, and I am thrilled to say…this is as good and exciting as the first 4 books. As I have noted before, Evalle is one of the best kickass heroines, and her romance with Storm, just keeps getting better and better.

But in Demon Storm, Evalle and Storm are not together until more than half way through the book. When Rise of the Gryphon ended, Storm went searching for the witch, who was threatening Evalle’s life, and he gets himself trapped in something beyond his control.

Back in Treior, Evalle having just helped win the latest battle, was trying to help find Brina and Lanna. The goddess Macha is still the same pain, but she needs Evalle to find Brina, as the Beladors are slowly losing their power without her. Tzader remains behind to keep an eye on Brina’s hologram that is slowly disintegrating. It is up to Evalle to find Storm, who is their best tracker to help find Brina, before it’s too late.

Without giving spoilers, what follows is a wonderfully exciting adventure that will require Evalle to use all her powers, and contacts, even those she doesn’t trust, to find and rescue Storm. Evalle will put her life on the line, as she enters the Demon world. Can she survive? Will she be able to save Storm, and if she does, at what cost?

In between her search for Storm, we get a glimpse of Brina, and what is happening to her. Tzader and his torment at possibly losing his love, Brina. Medb are still the villains, with a new, but old powerful leadership. But the focus of this story is between Evalle and Storm. There were so many moments that seemed hopeless, that they would be doomed, not to mention us fearing for Evalle’s life. Will Evalle’s love for Storm be enough to save him?

Feenix, our cute lovable gargoyle, is still one of my favorite characters, and I wish we could have more of him with Evalle. As I have also said before, Dianna always has wonderful characters in her stories. There are so many of them that we care about, and even the villains are worth hating. :)

This was such an exciting adventure, with non-stop tense action, filled with twists, betrayals, danger, and a beautiful sensual romance. As always with Dianna Love, I was on the edge of my seat, unable to pull myself away. I had to know what was happening next. I loved Demon Storm; love Evalle; love the romance between Evalle and Storm; and I absolutely love the Belador series. Demon Storm was a fantastic story, and this series just keeps on getting better. If you have not read this series, once again, what are you waiting for?

I have a really hard time rating this book. I loved the book in and of itself but compared to the other books this one had some errors through out the book. Maybe it is because Sherrilyn Kenyon isn't on the project anymore or maybe the book was to rushed but it just didn't read like a finished copy. I had some structural issues throughout the reading like someone would say something and it would be said by "character name." then go into someone else's talking without it saying it changed person or entering down to a new line. Otherwise I had no problem with the story itself it just felt a little bit less up to par with the other books. I still want to continue on with this series it is getting very good I think overall I would give it maybe a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Overall Evalle is still one to kick some demon butt and take names, even if it is her own demon lol. I'm still leery of this stirling witch I think owing a favor to her will in the end come up to bite them in the end.

Dianna Love's Demon Storm is the 5th book in the Belador series, and it certainly does not disappoint in a series that just keeps getting better and better. After the hollow victory at Treior, is it now a case of winning a battle but losing the war? Storm is missing, Brina has vanished, and the Beladors are threatened as never before. Evalle must use everything she knows and trust where she never has before in her search for Storm and attempt to find Brina and restore the Beladors. Demon Storm is filled with tense action, adventure, love and passion. Dianna Love writes strong, complex characters you love, or hate, and can't wait to read more about them in the next installment.

Demon Storm may be the 5th book in the Belador Series but it is book one for Dianna Love.. and that's not quite right, previously, Dianna Love and Sherrilyn Kenyon wrote this series together but life happens and Sherrilyn had to step out Dianna took over and let me make this one statement. Dianna Rocked It!! This was a beautiful and seamless transition.. No gaps, no confusion, just great writing!

With the Rise of the Gryphons one would think life would finally be going smoothly for the Beladors and the Alterants but nope.. it seems nothing good ever comes easy. Sure they won the battle but their link to their powers is missing and that means, yep they are loosing powers. There is one hope.. Storm.. but he's got a few problems of his own.

Evalle has once again been sent on a mission. This time they need Storm, a man known for his goodness and almost purity but he's in a bit of a fix It seems the witch who has been chasing him his entire life has finally caught up with him.. and folks you are gonna love this plot twist (and nope not gonna tell ya). But his capture is imminent.. and this time he might be lost to Evalle for good.

While Evalle is chasing Storm, Quinn has lost it. His heart is broken, his spirits are down and he's fighting with his best friend. To top that off, the Mebd seem to be doing the work of the Belador and playing up to VIPER.. Who actually believes they might have turned over a new leaf.. *rolls eyes*..

So Find Storm, Find Brina, Help Tzador finally win Brina... oh and lead the Gryphons.. Easy peasy...

Just another great book in this series. I am happy to say it's same old same old.. sounds weird but the flow was perfect. The cadence, the interactions it all just worked. There was no great gaping hole where Ms. Kenyon's voice needed to be, Ms. Love knows this series and her characters..

I do have to wonder what she has planned? I am wondering if Sen isn't going to turn out to be less than the "good" guy he's supposed to be. We know he's an arrogant jerk, we know he's treated Evalle like pond scum but that just makes him a racist jerk.. but hints were made.. or maybe it was just my imagination..

If you haven't read this series? You are seriously missing out.. but you still have time to read it and get caught up, Witchlock (book 6) doesn't come out until July. Yeah I know that's only three weeks away so read fast!

Another Great Book in a great series.

I did go back and re-read the entire series before reading this book, something not many other readers do. As a result I noticed there was something missing in this book in comparison to the previous ones. The story and the writing didn't flow as seamlessly as it had in the past. The special touches were lacking as well. The book is still great but those special moments weren't as polished as they were in the previous books and I felt there were more pages spent on certain part of the story that could have been shortened and not enough on other parts. I don't know, maybe it was the magic touch of Sherrilyn Kenyon that was omitted.

There is so much action in this book I feel like I’ve burned calories just reading it. This is the 5th book in the series, so far. I recommend reading the first 4 before tackling this installment. It will be a much better experience.
Evalle and the gang are back and there is no rest for anyone. There is almost too much going on. The Beladors are mourning their losses from the attack on Treoir Island, Brina and Lanna have gone missing, and Evalle has to find Storm so he can track them. And now the Medb are doing the Beladors job killing demons. WTH?
This is a transition book. Not only is it solely written by the fabulous Dianna Love but I believe that this book leads into a new story arc. Meaning there are more adventures to come. Poor Evalle can’t catch a breath.

The power of LOVE does it again - in more ways than one! Dianna Love continues the Belador series solo, and does not disappoint! Demon Storm takes you on an edge-of-your-seat roller coaster ride. From the shambles of Treior and the missing Brina, to Storm's quest to retrieve his father's and his souls from an evil witch doctor, and Evalle's quest to find Storm, I just couldn't stop reading. My only complaint is that there just wasn't enough of Feenix! I love that little gargoyle.

This series just keeps getting better and better, and is in great hands with Dianna. Thank you, Dianna, for your tireless work to keep bringing us great stories!

I'm not sure I can finish this one. This is the first book of the series that is written without Sherrilyn Kenyon. Part of the issue I had with the book was the poor formatting/editing of the book. There were several areas where it was obvious that a word (or more) was missing and some of the chapter beginnings weren't formatted correctly. This was a huge distraction for me which wasn't helpful since there was so much going on in the book. I really wanted to like this as I have liked all the rest of the series. I might go back and finish it at some point but right now, I can't bring myself to pick it back up again. :(

Dianna Love delivered an exciting pulse pounding installment all on her own, I couldn't put this book down! This book was mostly about Storm, as the title suggests, and it was great to see more of this mysterious hunk of a man. Evalle and Storm have some rough situations to weather, but they pull through it. The book finished too quickly, I can't wait for the next one. I'm dying to know more about Quinn's cousin and the daughter he just found out about at the end of the previous book. And I wouldn't mind reading more of the black ops hunk..

I liked it fine, but there was a little...something...missing. I couldn't even say what it was, since there was plenty of action (the fighting kind), a little more action (the romantic kind) than normal, and the story advanced somewhat. I think the problem is that it felt like this one suffered from "middle book syndrome"--that it felt all about set-up more than a story for its own sake. Yes, we resolved a few dangling threads, but it's not a conclusion, and I don't exactly have a clear sense of what the next big push is going to be.

Wow!! So much happened in this story!! There was constant action, constant revelations and constant changes throughout this book. New relationships are formed and some are severed. It was a race to the finish and I want more!! I'm so curious to see what happens next. I would recommend starting with the first book in the series and reading through. This one might be tough for a stand alone with so many plot lines and characters. Ahhhhh... loved it!!

In this book, Brina, the last in line & who gives the Beladors (powerful supernatural warrior who protect humans from supernatural nasties) their powers is missing & only her hologram remains & the Beladors are losing their powers. Evalle, former Alterant turned New creature (don't want to spoil the surprise from book 4), must find a way to save Brina & the Beladors but she can't do it alone. She has to find Storm, her Navaho lover who is missing. She has only just discovered her love for Storm & now he may be the only one who can save Brina & those that Evalle loves as family.

Storm (a shape-shifting Jaguar w/ demon blood) is tracking his nemesis witch doctor, Nadine, who has threatened Evalle & Storm will do anything to protect the woman he loves so he goes after Nadine. Storm ends up being tricked into a demon realm battling for his very being.

Will Evalle be able to find Storm in time & even if she does will he be the same Storm she has come to love? Will Storm be able to fight his demon blood & can he save Brina & therefore save all the Beladors including Evalle?

In this book, Evalle gets to put her love for Storm to the test & she shows him the love he taught her to accept & prove her love for this man, Storm.

The book is extremely well written with fast paced action that I've come to expect from the Belador series, absolutely can't wait for "Witchlock" (Book 6) to come out!!! I have read the first 5 books back to back in quick order as it has been such an original & exciting series. Of course, you should start w/the first book, "The Beladors", I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this series. I am an avid reader & found the world building & mythology to be very interesting & exciting!!

As Evalle goes to Storm’s house to ask his help finding Queen Brina, she’s stolen and returned when Storm races out after Nadina, the witch he refuses to call mother, she killed his father and stole their souls. Evalle’s preoccupied with finding Storm not only for their emotions but he could help find Brina, if only Evalle can find him.

When Storm locates Nadina, she confesses her capture by an underworld overlord she dealt Storm’s presence to train a demon army for her freedom. Nadina promises to take Storm to Evalle, leave her alone and return the souls Storm needs. Failure to bring Storm will unleash demons on Evalle. (Hmmm, what about that doesn’t sound right?)

Determined to save the mate he hasn’t claimed, Storm’s unable to spot Nadina’s mischief as she taunts him that Evalle’s a formidable warrior that might win against the demons, he quickly agrees and presents himself to the demon overlord. Evalle and Tzader are lost without their mates, who’re quickly running out of time.

This reader enjoyed the new and exciting mish-mash aftermath of events from Rise of the Gryphon as things were not the usual for this series. Some threads were tied off as Storm and Evalle’s romance is trapped in another mountain range of obstacles leaving Isak with high hopes and Adrianna proving more help than hindrance.

I really love this series of books it is alot of adventure and intrigue and the love is there very minutely but when it is it seems that everyone and the kitchen sink is trying to prevent everyone to find their happily ever after and you want to shake the book like a obble head to get it right where it is supposed to, but other than that I love this series and Dianna Love is a great author who is bringing Evalle up in ther own way starting from hell in high water to being accepted for who she is.

This book was just as good the second time is it was the first time I read it. One of the things I liked about this book a lot was the fact that it had a lot of different twists and turns in it. There are a lot of things that I didn’t remember from the first time I read it and were very surprised by them. I definitely cannot wait to read the next book in the series. I love evolve storm and the rest of the gang. Of course, there are some people in here that I do not like but that is what makes a book interesting.

I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title within the series set box. (Audible Membership)

Storm was born of half Demon half Navajo blood. His mother, a dark witch, wanted to breed a Demon child. If he gave into his Demon blood and allowed his black panther to take control, then he would remain a Demon there after.
He fought his own blood to prevent this happening, but circumstances arise that he may not have a choice.
He had a lot to lose, especially the mate who would go through he'll to save him.

Belador #5: Demon Storm by Dianna Love

Once again, Evalle proves she's nothing short of amazing. By the time you reach this point in the series, you feel so connected to the characters that some events become a bit predictable. But honestly, that doesn't take away from the story at all. The battle Storm faces in this one is absolutely intense. Throughout the whole ordeal, I kept thinking, "Just call the other guy... he'll snap out of it." The emotional depth and action kept me hooked from start to finish.

Storm is tricked by the witch doctor to go to an underworld realm. Evalle is trying to save Brina and must find Storm before it's too late. Lots going on with other characters in this series as well as the Mehb threat. Interesting reading but if you haven't read the other books in the series in a while I'd recommend at least reading Rise of the Gryphon as I had forgotten where the drama had left off.

I appreciate a strong Heroine who doesn't whine

And Evalle is one of the best. I also enjoy this World of the Beladors. The plot premise has advanced nicely, and the romance has developed.

Although this story didn't flow as well as previous books (maybe because Ms. Kenyon has ended her participation), it was still a good read for me. I will continue with this series. 3-3/4 Stars for me.

Unselfish Love Gets Rewarded

Brina, Queen of the Beladors is trapped by noire Malik. Only Storm might be able to find her. Storm is tricked into entering Mitnal, the realm of demons. It is up to Evalle to rescue him before he becomes a demon himself. This rescue made me so anxious I could barely keep from skipping ahead to be sure they are safe. After the rescue of Brina, Evalle and Storm are given a wonderful gift. Read to see what they receive.

Okay, I have to admit that I REALLY loved Demon Storm. He was EPIC as an evil demon who still felt for Evalle. That said, I am glad that was resolved some so he'd stop thinking about saving her from himself. I am hoping Storm is a little darker in the next books. It was sexy as hell as it always is in fiction.

Great to see Evalle evolve in the relationship department. Love Storm! He is so patient and perfect for Evalle with all her issues and insecurities. She finally gained some confidence in herself and her relationship. Nice to see them happy...at least for now. I'm sure there's more to come.

Weird, but I liked the book much more than the first time I read it. Still, it isn't my favorite in the series (in fact it's at the bottom of the list) even when it's about my darling Storm. However, I enjoyed it more this time around.
The best part is Isak and Adriana
